jbergey_2005
That was a great ceremony. Very fitting way to end the show. I was surprised Vince McMahon was no where to be found, anyone else find this unusual? Everyone else seemed to break kayfabe therefore I dont see why he shouldnt have been out there. Might be sick or something.
Johnny Fenoli
was very very moving. I got a few tears in my eyes at various times during the whole thing. Anyone else? Anyone else feel weird for tearing up over "fake wrestling"...

angeldelayette
As a lot of you have seen and known I am a major Ric Flair fan. He's a great wrestler and an even better man. I've met the man in person on many occassions and he is THE MAN! Thank you Ric for the memories. I nearly dropped out of my seat when the Horsemen came out. *holds up IV fingers*

Akki
I think that it goes to show that no matter what kind of crap WWE pulls, when they make an effort, they can do something really classy. I'm wondering if Flair knew what was going to happen in that segment. Either way, his reaction and that of every other person in that ring and outside was genuine. When the video of Dusty Rhodes played earlier in the night saying "There are legends, there are icons, and there is Ric Flair," it echoed exactly what I thought after his match at WM. Wrestlers are trained. Champions are made. Stars shine. Legends are born. Above all of them is Ric Flair.
dbone12130
that was one of the best things I've seen on a rassling program since the first time i saw wrestling. in hindsight i wish i didn't get spoiled on the IV being there.
Mr T Jobs To Me
I wish Vince Russo was still booking the WWE. Someone would have trashed the ceremony and created a new 4 Horsemen, only for the angle to be dropped 2 weeks later.
alden
i was listening to a interview flair did and he said he knew something was happening but did not know what. I don't know if he was just playing like he did not know or what. It was great to see flair basicly break down when his family came out. I do hope he comes back in some way or anohter. I know he has a long contract left.

Remianen
That was great. It was awesome to see them finally show respect for such an integral figure in the development of wrestling as a mainstream entertainment vehicle. Every big step requires someone who can be the catalyst. No professional athlete ever grossed over $100 million a year strictly from endorsements, before Michael Jordan. Now, you have a half dozen who do it. Likewise, there was no better worker who also mentored and produced two to three generations of good to great workers, other than Ric Flair. Yes, Killer Kowalski comes close but he trained workers. Once they left the nest, some of them were blessed to find Ric Flair. It would've been nice if Vince had come out and expressed how much Flair has contributed to the business that made him rich. But maybe that's asking too much. After all, what boss do you know actually gives credit where it's due in public?

joose2001
After RAW went off the air, the Ric Flair retirement ceremony continued with Vince McMahon and the Undertaker coming down. Undertaker got down on one knee before Flair and McMahon raised Flair's arm and then hugged him. Flair then called his family back in the ring, took his coat off, strutted, and dropped an elbow on his coat. He then thanked the crowd and walked up the aisle shaking hands with everyone as the crowd gave him a standing ovation. Right before he left, Stephanie McMahon kissed him on the cheek. All the wrestlers also bowed to Flair when he reached the top of the ramp. Credit: PWInsider.com Now WHY didnt they show this on TV???? It wouldve made an awesome moment even more awesome.... I know alot of people were wondering where Vince and Taker were... good to hear they did come out tho
Actarus
Agreed with everyone. I loved the ending of RAW last night. I will admit that when Trips came out, I was a bit scared he'd give Flair a pedigree and turn heel (oh admit it; it's something the 'E would totally do!), but they went the classy, respectful route, and everything was very well done. I mean, it goes over all the time, and we miss things from time to time. I loved the ending of the show though, even without that happening. I aggree, it would have made it even better. GDE71
Did no one else find the matches to be confusing? London&Kendrick back as a tag team and they beat the Champions? CM Punk wins MITB and loses the next night? Also, weren't they trying to keep Kane's win over Chavo secret, yet he comes out with the belt at the end. RKO_HBK
I thought this week's Raw was just incredible. We actually had a tag division, the return of Cryme Tyme (which admittedly I marked out for) and London and Kendrick won! Also the farewell at the end was fantastic and emotional, especially with the wrestlers (I think it was Punk, Big Show and Edge) starting the "Thank you Ric" chant. Astil
Gotta admit, after Jeff went and got himself suspended I stopped watching. I watched last night, because it was Flair's last night, and I was not dissapointed. Cryme Tyme, Matt getting a nice push (even though he lost, he looked damn good), the Flair send of, Londrick getting a win. Good ****. Y2J and Punk both looking damn good (although Im afraid Punk'll end up losing his briefcase down the line...). Now, look at how good that show was, and think, what was missing. There was no Cena match, or no Cena mic time (that I remember). Not saying the show was good because he didnt do anything, but it proves they can do good without the magic man. Maybe they learned soemthing from all that time he was injured...
justtxyank
I was actually glad Vince didn't come out. His character is responsible for this and even though all the workers were at least semi-breaking character, Vince coming down would have made it about him too much. It was bad enough that Triple H was the only worker on the roster who got mic time and got to soak in the glory with Naitch. Vince coming down after the live feed died was appropriate in my opinion.
