Rock Band European Ripp-Off
I have just read on Kotaku the pricing/bundle structure for Rock Band in the UK and Europe. "The game won't come in a single bundle. Instead, there's two products available at lauch. One is called the "Instrument Edition", which costs £130/€170. It comes with a guitar, drums, and mic. That's it. No game. No, if you want the game as well, it'll cost you another £50/€70. That brings the cost of the game and three instruments to £180"
Quote taken from EA forum. Saw the same news on Gamespot. £180 for a game! It's a disgrace. Would you pay it? It's funny... on the EA forum people are registering simply just to voice their displeasure. I'm already boycotting EA sports, I don't want to boycot all of EA (or I'll miss out on Mass Effect 2). Anybody here flush enough to splash the cash on a single game?

For that price, buy a real electric guitar... Hopefully the sales will tank, otherwise I'd hate to see other games take this route and see prices creeping towards that of the console itself. As for EA, I've been boycotting them for a good couple of years now, mainly due to their attitude towards supporting their games after they've been released or more accurately, the lack thereof, Westwood Studios, etc.
i might be wrong but that sounds like what we pay in the states. I think it is around 200 for the game and instruments.
Taking in to account the exchange rate £200 is about US$355. Would you pay it now? Imagine that you did and this happened... how pissed would you be? Latest is... play.com are selling the instruments for £99.99 and the game for £39.99... that's still $275. And Clarity, play.com confirm that the instrument pack has no game! :(

I had a problem with the guitar on mine and no questions asked they sent me a new one. End of story.

yeah I just did the conversion and 180 euros is about 285 something dollars US. And that is almost double what I payed for the game .. I payed $170 as that's what it is here in the US for the entire Bundle(drums, Mic, Guitar, Game). I don't see anyone spending that much on a game. It is a really fun game though. But nearly $300 is just ridiculus.

Well, we were all told by the EA rep at work that it would be coming out at £150, all the instruments and the game. It's also localized to what region its selling in. So America has alot more American rock on it, while the UK version has more UK bands (Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, etc). It will sell out when its released though, so its best to pre-order it - learn from our American Cousins!

When things are mass produced you somes times have faulty ones. Its just the way things are. The wait would piss me off for sure though.
