SOTBPW - Taking Lucha Libre By Storm!

SOTBPW – Taking Lucha Libre by storm! Over the past five years, Mexican wrestling dominance has been contested between three promotions, MPWF, OLLIE and SOTBPW, with a fourth being introduced in 2008, Mexican Hardcore Wrestling. Late in 2009, SOTBPW took the lead in the race to totally control Mexico, and became the first promotion to go National, with their World Champion, Gino Montero, putting on stellar performance after stellar performance, leading to a huge amount of popularity for the promotion. All of their talent are now household names, as their new TV deal has made each one much more popular than a lot of the headliners for OLLIE and MPWF. The Last Year In Review 2010 was a big year for wrestling, as some promotions became popular than ever before, while others collapsed. Exodus 2010, under the command of Naoya Ashikaga lasted barely six months in the cluttered Japanese scene, and went bankrupt, with Naoya heading to PGHW afterwards, while the talent returned to the independent scene. World Level Wrestling became a national promotion, stealing top talent like Bruce the Giant, Angry Gilmore, Marat Khoklov and Greg Gauge, with each man holding the Universal Belt. Angry Gilmore’s departure from TCW, who had fallen down to Cult due to a string of bad shows, and were forced to release a load of workers as a result, further crippled the already damaged promotion. TCW’s fall left no dominant promotion in America, save for NOTBPW in Canada. TCW soon managed to regain it’s popularity however, six months later, raiding SWF’s roster, which was already very thin, of any talented members it had, as well as stealing from the other promotions. SWF’s one gleaming vassal in this time of darkness, was Sam Keith, who defeated a departing Runaway Train, who was heading to TCW, for the SWF World title, his fifth, and has helped the promotion steadily rebuild. New stars such as Davis Wayne Newton, and Darryl Devine, along with veterans, such as Enforcer Roberts, Squeeky McClean and Joe Sexy were all poached, with Darryl, Squeeky and Davis heading to TCW, causing Davis and Squeeky to vacate the tag titles, while Enforcer and Joe headed to NOTBPW. Japan saw a lot more action during 2010, with UK Dragon finally achieving his dream and becoming Burning Junior Champion, defeating Elemental II in June 2010, still holding it today, while BURNING (formerly PRIDE) Koiso became Burning World Champion, defeating Yasunobu Masuno, and holding the title from May 2010 to October, where he dropped it to Hooded Kudo. Kiminobu Kuroki became a 2-time GCG World champion, while Sensational Ogiwara won her 10th 5SSW World title, defeating Kiko Sakakibara in November 2010. The Incredible KOYAMA, of WLW fame, also won his 20th title, the tag titles, an impressive feat for somebody who is only 29 years of age. However, there were sad points during 2010, with the retirements of legends such as Optimus, Danger Kumasaka and Dread, with Danger holding the Historical Japan title one last time, and Optimus headlining against Elemental II and Sensational Dragon, producing a fantastic match. Mexico saw a revolution, due to the aforementioned rise of SOTBPW, with a new generation of young stars coming into the spotlight, such as Extraordinario Jr., Mr. Lucha III, Huracan Sandoval Jr. and Gino Montero. Match of the year occurred in September of 2010, courtesy of SOTBPW, with Pablo Rodriguez defeating Gino Montero for the World title, ending Gino’s year and a half reign, in front of a sold out crowd of 30,000 people. Mayan Idol also reached the top of the ladder at last with MPWF, defeating Electrico for the World title in June 2010, in one of his best matches to date. Verdugo Estupendo also retired in August 2010, serving as a road agent from then on, leaving Pirata Malvado to work solo, which has seemed to work for him so far, as he has been showing a new fire ever since. And now, it is January 2011, with me at the head of the booking team for SOTBPW, how I got here, I can't remember, it was much too fast, but I don't regret a moment of it. The mission is simply to stay on top, and to develop the stars of tomorrow, a mission I hope I can acheive... Roster, champions and first card will follow soon, any comments so far would be very appreciated.

Preview of first card First card of 2010 This is a start of a new year for SOTBPW, and we look set to start it off with bang, with Pablo Rodriguez putting his title on the line against Nicholas Lopez, who has been harrassing him for weeks, feeling he should have a title shot, due to being a former three time champion. Will Pablo be able to defeat the legendary fluidity of Lopez and retain the title? Or will Lopez be able to upset him in his first match of the year? Another question that has been floating around is will La Alianza begin to target Pablo on their way to control the promotion? To start off the show, we have two rising stars within SOTBPW facing each other, as Hysteria takes on Huracan Sandoval Jr, who joined the company only one month ago. Over the past six months, Hysteria has slowly been rising up the ladder, putting people higher up on the on notice, and he soon joined La Alianza. Will he need to use his allies against the unpredictable Huracan? Or will the newcomer be able to upset Hysteria and send out a warning of his own? Another youngsters match takes place in our semi-main event, with Hijo Del Memphisto, feeling it is his time to rise to the top, something that his father was denied, against Blood Raven, who has become one of the promotions biggest stars. Raven is now nearing the main event, as his performances have been very good over the past couple of months, and he knows that every match counts. Will Hiijo del Memphisto be able to slow his momentum and possible cost him his main event slot? We will also see the demonic Los Sickness, who have ripped through the competition in recent weeks, again in action against Los Jóvenes, in a match to determine whether they are truly at the top of the division. With Enrique recently being a challenger for the World title, has that caused a division in the team at all? Along with this action, El Demonio has something to say, and it regards La Alianza, and therefore possibly the fate of everybody on the roster. Singles Hysteria vs. Huracan Sandoval Jr. Tag Team Los Sickness vs. Los Jóvenes Singles Hijo Del Memphisto vs. Blood Raven Singles For the Campeón de Mundo Title Pablo Rodriguez(c) vs. Nicholas Lopez Predictions are welcome, and appreciated.

SOTBPW Guerra Extrema Held at Estadio de la Revolucion Thursday, Week 1, January 2011 Attendance = 8,817 Announcers = Mateo Hidalgo & Eduardo Prieto Match 1: Hysteria vs. Huracán Sandoval Jr vs. This was a fairly good match for one so low down the card as Sandoval. It started off with the generic tie-up, which quickly went high paced, with Sandoval bouncing off every corner of the ring, flooring Hysteria with several clothesline and dropkicks, until Hysteria was able to block a kick and then drive Sandoval into the mat with a Float Over DDT. Sandoval was spiked right on his head, and from then on, Hysteria pretty much controlled the match, with Sandoval making occasional comebacks, but they were generally short bursts of energy before Hysteria regained control. The end of the match came out of nowhere, as when Sandoval tried for a hurracanrana, Hysteria caught him with the Anarchy Hook, a running STO, on the run up. Sandoval practically flipped over, and Hysteria hooked the leg, emerging victorious in dominating fashion. Winner: Hysteria by pinfall in 12:15 – C+ As soon as the two wrestlers had cleared the ring, the screen flashed full of life as eerie images of graveyards and corpses began to be displayed, before ending on a picture of El Demonio, sitting in a dark room. He was barely distinguishable, except for the red shine of his mask. “For the past four years, I have helped to destroy this promotion from the inside out, but there are still those who dare to defy La Alianza. Despite the merciless beatings that we have handed out, and the people we have retired, they still feel that they can stop us.” He took a deep breath in, and two figures emerged from the corners of the screen, wearing flowing red capes and grey clothes. “Well…tonight…we will once again show those who dare to get in our way, just what we do when we don’t get what we want. I sort of feel sorry for Joven and Azul, they are still young. But they decided to get in our way, and Los Sickness have a reputation for destroying such people. Once their done with those two clueless children, the fear will spread its wings once more. Always sleep with one eye open, because La Alianza will forever be hunting you!” He began to laugh evilly, with the two figures, revealed now to be Los Sickness, Enrique Merino and Tijuana Vampire, joining in. B+ Match 2: Tricolor Jr. vs. Junior Youth vs. This was a fairly short match, the shortest of the night, but it was good for who was involved. Youth has been striving to rise up the card, upset at the success of his former partner, Rebelde Loco. It started off very high paced, with Youth leaping onto the top rope and delivering a diving rana to a surprised Tricolor. Youth was able to pretty much run circles around the slower Tricolor, nailing him with various high impact moves. The end of the match came just as quickly as the last one, as Tricolor tried to pull out a wheelbarrow DDT, but Youth turned it into a suplex, then leapt up top to deliver the Idolizer, a corkscrew moonsault, to the downed Tricolor, getting the victory. Winner: Junior Youth by pinfall in 9:17 – C+ Match 3: Los Sickness vs. Los Jóvenes vs. Both members of Los Sickness came out wearing the capes they were seen in earlier, and had an aura of evil surrounding them. As soon as they stepped into the ring, Leon and Azul tried to double team Enrique, after double dropkicking Vampire, but Enrique was able to duck under a double clothesline attempt and hold onto the ropes. When Azul tried to knock him over the ropes, Merino dodged it, before throwing Azul out, and then he doubled teamed Leon with Vampire, nailing a backbreaker/leg drop combo. After some more double teaming, the match finally calmed down, and Merino and Azul were the only people in the ring. However, this wasn’t much better odds for Azul, as he soon found himself outwitted at every turn by Merino, who used his experience to reverse almost every move. They ended up on the mat, with Merino locking Azul in a tight armbar, but Azul was able to flip out of it, and bring Merino’s arm down to the mat, connecting with a leg drop to it afterwards for good measure. Merino screamed in pain and pulled his arm back, but Azul had found a weak spot, and began to pick at it. Azul got a little over confident however, and soon Sickness were in control, making quick tags. In the end, it came down to Merino and Leon, with Merino managing to boot Leon in the gut and drive him into the mat with a Virus Infection, a lightning fast Reverse Face Plant. Winners: Los Sickness by pinfall in 12:46 – B- After the match is done, the lights in the arena dim, and various figures emerge from the back, wearing hoods and the same capes that Los Sickness wore earlier. They all clamber into the ring and begin to pick apart Leon and Azul, hitting several familiar finishers. When the lights brighten back up, Azul and Leon are outside of the ring, not moving, while El Demonio stands in the centre of the ring, flanked by Los Sickness, Soul Taker and Pirata Malvado. He just raises his hands into the air, while the other members lower their heads, and fire explodes from the turnbuckles. B- Match 4: Blood Raven vs. Hijo Del Memphisto vs. Blood Raven came out to the ring, noticeably angry at what had just happened minutes ago. The match started out with Memphisto trying to whip Raven into the corner, but Raven pulled off a handstand on them and then flipped over Memphisto, who was caught off guard, and then took him down with a reverse DDT, planting him into the canvas. For a few minutes after that, he had control of the match, keeping Memphisto on the mat. However, the youngster was able to fight his way back up to standing, and was soon able to duck a clothesline and nail a neckbreaker, stealing control from Raven. He dominated with several submission holds, but Raven was able to escape one of the holds and then drive Memphisto into the mat with a brainbuster. He then ascended to the top turnbuckles, before leaping off and connecting with the Blood Rainfall, a Frog Splash. He then hooked the leg, and got the victory. Winner: Blood Raven by pinfall in 14:06 – B- We then go backstage, where we see Nicolas Lopez hyping himself up for his match. Masterrico, our backstage interviewer, wearing a funky hat, appears beside him, causing Lopez to jump a little. Masterrico: “Heeelllooooo Mr. Lopez, I was wondering if I could get a few words?” Lopez just looks at him, with a freaked out expression etched on his face. Lopez: “Sure…why not. But just let me do the talking.” Masterrico backs off, handing the microphone to Lopez. “Listen Pablo, for the past year, I have been trailing that belt that you know hold so tightly around your waist. I have tried everything to get a shot at you since you won it, but management have always put me in the most awkward of situations, ending up with me never getting a shot. Now, I finally get it, but it doesn’t feel like I’ve earned it.” A smile slowly appears across his face. “Heck, I don’t care, just the fact that I can finally save these people from your constant arrogant speeches will be enough for me, as we all know, I’m the best man on this roster, the best wrestler, and all of the fans love me. The only one’s who don’t, are those whose girlfriends can’t take their eyes off of me. I’ve been waiting for a whole year for this match, while you only got told last week. Are you truly ready, when anything can happen Pablo? How can you hope to defeat someone that is “Untouchable”? See you in the ring buddy.” He laughs as he leaves the screen, and we focus in on Masterrico, who is smiling as well, before snapping to a serious face and heading off camera. B+ Match 6: Pablo Rodriguez© vs. Nicolas Lopez For the Campeón de Mundo SOTBPW championship. vs. This was a highly anticipated match, and it did not dissapoint, ending up as an instant classic. There was clearly a lot of tension between these two, and the fans were solidly behind their champion, who prayed before getting in the ring. Lopez had begun to get impatient and attacked him when he had his back to him, knocking him to the mat. He instantly began to work over the legs of Pablo, locking him in several different leg locks, even managing to lock him in a Cangrejo, but Pablo soon fought his way out and they locked up. Pablo was able to get control this time, and continually wringed the arm of Lopez before elbowing him in the shoulder, aiming to prevent the use of the Lopez Buster later in the match. Lopez caught onto this soon however, and was able to flip out of the arm wringer, and kicked Pablo right in the chest, sending him flying back. Lopez quickly resumed control, hitting a corkscrew legdrop followed by a flip senton, before going for the first cover of the match, only getting a two count. For a long time after this, he remained in control, until an early attempt at the Lopez Buster allowed Pablo to steal control back after nailing a spinning Headscissors when countering the move. For the rest of the match, it was very back and forth, with both men exchanging control like a hot potato. The end of the match was very action packed, with both men attempting finishers, but neither being able to hit them. When Lopez managed to counter a suplex attempt into a second attempt at the Lopez Buster. Just as he was about to nail it, Pablo flipped over his head, and kicked him in the back of the knees, before mule kicking him in the back of the head, sending him to the mat. After a while, he began to slowly make his way up to his feet, but Pablo had been waiting for him, and, after making the sign of a cross, charged forward and nailed the Final Judgement, a Glittering Magician Knee. Lopez was out like a light, and Pablo made the cover, getting the hard fought victory. Winner: Pablo Rodriguez by pinfall in 21:04 – B+ Summary: Hysteria def. SOTBPW.com Next week, on Guerra Extrema This week, we have a blockbuster show for you, as several of our big stars are going to be in the building and wrestling for your pleasure. To start off the show, we have a tag team match among the Menor Division, with Hysteria teaming with Junior Youth to face Huracan Sandoval Jr. & Tricolor Jr. Which team will further their position on the roster? Will Huracan and Tricolor upset Hysteria and Youth this week to make up for their defeat last week? Then we have the living legend, El Bandito, in action against Cyclone. Both men have been striving to get into the upper levels of the promotion recently, Bandito has been striving more, feeling he has time to make up for because of his year long absence. Menor champion Charron has recently been looking for some serious competition for his belt, as he feels he has beaten all of those that are on his level. Mr. Lucha III, who has rarely faced Charron in action, took offence to this, as he has always beaten Charron whenever they have met in action. Will Lucha defeat Charron and use the momentum to challenge for the belt? Or will Charron manage to defeat Mr. Lucha III and prove his point? For our semi-main event and main event, we have La Alianza members facing some of their biggest rivals. Vincente Romero and Axxis Jr were disgusted with the actions of La Alianza last week, destroying Leon Joven and El Diamante Azul, and have challenged any members of La Alianza to face them in singles matches. Enrique Merino accepted the challenge of Vincente, while Soul Taker accepted the challenge of Axxis Jr, a man who has caused him trouble in the past. Will La Alianza win both matches and again show their domination? Or will Romero and Axxis Jr. manage to upset the balance? Liked the first show and it looks like you got some solid ratings to build upon. Not many Mexican diaries get very far, so hopefully you can keep this one going. Tag Team Hysteria & Junior Youth vs. Huracan Sandoval Jr. & Tricolor Jr. Team two according to the roster listing are a pair of jobbers, so I don't think them winning. Singles El Bandito vs. Cyclone Hmm if this was 2007 I definately would have chosen Bandito no questions asked. But I'd imagine he's getting on a bit and Cyclone has probably improved, still I'll tip Bandito to a get a win on his comeback. Singles Non-Title Mr. Lucha III vs. Charron Charron kind of sucks, but I think he'll cheat his way to victory here, as I don't think Mr Lucha III will be the man to take the Menor Title away from him. Singles Enrique Merino vs. Vincente Romero Victory for the La Alianza member Singles Soul Taker vs. Axxis Jr. Could go either way as these are two of your top talents, but I think it'll be a bad night for the faces as La Allianza score another win.

SOTBPW Guerra Extrema Held at Plaza de la Concorida Thursday, Week 2, January 2011 Attendance = 5,000 Announcers = Mateo Hidalgo & Eduardo Prieto Match 1: Hysteria & Junior Youth vs. Sandoval & Tricolor vs. This match was full of fast paced action, with both teams pulling out all the stops to get the crowd hyped up for the rest of the show. When the match began, the legal men were Hysteria and Tricolor, and they both went for arm drags, but each time the move connected, who was thrown got right back up and performed the move themselves. Hysteria was finally able to grab control after whipping Tricolor into the ropes, then connecting with a spinning head scissors when he returned. The rest of the match was full of several fast moves, but few tags, as each member exhausted themselves as much as possible before tagging out. The end of the match came when Youth went up top and signalled for the Idolizer, while Sandoval was down on the mat, and Hysteria had just taken care of Tricolor with a running plancha. He then leapt off of the top, executing the move beautifully, and got the pinfall victory. Winner: Hysteria & Youth by pinfall in 7:48 – B- We are then quickly transported to the locker room, where Soul Taker and Los Sickness sit, surrounded by an eerie red light. All three men are wearing the capes, and have their hoods up. Soul Taker is the first to speak. “El Demonio has decreed to us that nobody who dares to step in the way of La Alianza gets out alive tonight, not a single soul will survive. Whatever is said by El Demonio is a law, and cannot be questioned, so this is the final warning for Vincente and Axxis, get out of here while you still can, as we never give up a hunt.” Taker leans backwards into the darkness, with only the glint of his robotic left eye visible. Enrique then speaks, his deep voice booming around the arena. “The one thing we cannot understand about the two people La Alianza faces tonight, is that both men have faced us before, and have been beaten within an inch of their lives, and yet they still dare to defy the will of El Demonio. Tonight, my partner will be at ringside with me, witness to the destruction of Vincente Romero. He will just be another victim of La Alianza, as Los Jovenes were last week.” He laughs to himself, with Soul Taker quietly joining in. Tijuana Vampire then leans forward. “If this is what it takes to get our message out, so be it. We have no issues with destroying every last person in the whole of this country if that is what we need to do. All we hope for is that Vincente is man enough to enter this match alone, and that he leaves Ultimate Phoenix in the back. That useless fool has interfered in our matches for far too long, and if he tries it again, he won’t see daylight ever again.” Soul Taker then re-emerges. “It is hard to see daylight, when your soul is sealed away forever. Axxis, tonight, you will just be another man on the list of those who have lost all that they are, so be prepared, as Death never goes easy on traitorous people like yourselves. Watch your back tonight, as La Alianza is always hunting you!” All three figures laugh evilly, with the camera flickering before fading to the static channel tone. B+ Match 2: El Bandito vs. Cyclone vs. This match was also fairly fast paced, but it was mostly Cyclone doing the flying, as injuries and ring rust had slowed Bandito down in recent months. However, his determination hadn’t left him, and he took the fight right to Cyclone. The match started with some stiff punches, before quickly descending into a mat battle, with Bandito managing to secure an advantage with a tight grapevine armlock. Cyclone was eventually able to flip his way out of the move, and was able to catch Bandito off guard with a basement dropkick right to the jaw. Cyclone held control for a while, but Bandito was able to muster enough energy to block a reverse suplex attempt and turn it into the Hijack Suplex, driving Cyclone into the mat with authority. The younger Cyclone struggled desperately to escape the pin, but Bandito kept his shoulders on the mat, getting the victory. Winner: El Bandito by pinfall in 9:06 – C+ After the wrestlers have cleared the ring, we go backstage to see Axxis and Vincente talking to each other in the hall, and Masterrico approaches them. “Hey guys, tonight you two face members of La Alianza. What sorts of thoughts are going through your heads?” Both men look at each other, then laugh, with Axxis being the first to speak. “Do they seriously think they can intimidate us with a little red light, and some fancy eye-surgery? For years they have been doing the same thing, day in, day out. It has begun to make me sick, as they think that they can get away with anything. So me and Romero here decided enough was enough, and that they needed to be brought to their senses.” Vincente runs his hand through his hair before speaking. “Exactly, when I arrived here, La Alianza was already in full power, and they were attacking everybody, left, right and centre. And while we have been beaten by them in the past, it is purely because they always called in their little minions to attack us when our backs were turned. I can bet that Vampire is not there to just “watch” tonight. Here is our warning La Alianza – We are just two of many people who despise you, and we will make you realise just how weak you truly are in singles action, see you later.” B Match 3: Mr. Lucha III vs. Charron Non-Title vs. Both men looked fairly determined heading into this match, as this could be Lucha’s chance to get another shot at the Menor championship, and to prove to Charron that he is not as great as he thinks he is. For Charron, this was his chance to finally put Mr. Lucha III’s taunts to rest. The match started in the usual way, with a little bit of brawling before both men were flying. Charron began to get a get a bit too carried away however, and ended up overshooting a suicide plancha, crashing into the announce table, allowing Lucha time to recover. When he had got back up, Lucha took control of the match with a few punches and a dropkick before bringing the match back into the ring, and dominating Charron there as well. However, Charron was able to dodge a dropkick attempt, and then connected with a leg drop to the back of Lucha’s head. He then controlled the match for a while, until Lucha kicked him in the gut after reversing a suplex, then nailing a facebuster. Lucha then signalled for the Third Strike, a high speed spinning head scissor transition into a DDT, where he revolves around his opponent three times before hitting the DDT. However, when Charron got up, he was able to throw Lucha to the mat, and then got ready to hit his finisher. When Lucha got up, he staggered backwards, was spun around, then caught with the Spinning Fisherman’s Suplex, stunning him long enough for Charron to get the victory. Winner: Charron by pinfall in 11:37 - C We quickly shift backstage, where Los Sickness and Soul Taker sneak attack Romero and Axxis Jr in the hallway, leaping out of closed doors. La Alianza has the advantage to begin with, but other people soon join the fight, eager to see La Alianza pushed back, with Ultimate Phoenix, Pablo Rodriguez and Gino Montero soon joining in. La Alianza retreats into the darkness, Phoenix, Pablo and Gino check on Romero and Axxis. B+ Match 4: Enrique Merino vs. Vincente Romero vs. Vincente was slightly damaged from the attack earlier, having taken three chair shots to the back. He was not however any less determined to defeat Enrique, and this showed, as the match became very violent, very quick, with Vincente spearing Enrique to the mat as soon as the bell rang, and then pummelling him into oblivion. Enrique was able to throw him off after blocking a few shots, and then sprang up to his feet, roaring in rage, before stomping away maniacally at Vincente. Enrique then pulled the battered star up to his feet and whipped him into the ropes, sending him back into the mat with a spinebuster. For a while after, Enrique was in control, and whenever Vincente seemed to be gaining momentum, Enrique just targeted his back, immobilising him for a few moments, enough time to regain control. The match was very back and forth towards the end however, with both men having control at various points. In the last minute of the match, Vincente had been slowly picking Enrique’s legs apart with various different holds, aiming for the Mexican Deathlock. Enrique had different plans however, and kicked him away just as he attempted it. Enrique then got back on his feet, only to be nailed in the face with a dropkick, sending him back down. Romero then took advantage of this temporary daze and locked in the Mexican Deathlock, causing Enrique to tap fairly quickly, giving Redemption a 1-0 advantage over La Alianza tonight. Winner: Vincente Romero by submission in 17:42 – B- Tijuana is livid at ringside, and storms the ring, aiming to destroy Romero. He is stopped when Phoenix and Pablo again appear, charging down to the ring. Tijuana hightails it out of the ring, while Phoenix and Pablo congratulate Romero. B Match 5: Soul Taker vs. Axxis Jr. vs. This match was hugely anticipated, due to what took part earlier in the night. Taker was first out, and he had a smug look on what could be seen of his face, as he knew that Axxis was going to be too beaten up to put up a good fight, as he had personally kicked him several times in the head. When the ‘Iron Luchador’ emerged from the back however, he didn’t seem at all damaged, which caught Taker by surprise. Axxis then charged to the ring, leapt over the ropes, and connected with a High Cross Body, taking Soul Taker to the mat. When the match got underway, Axxis flew around the ring at lightning pace, hitting Taker from every possible direction with a different move each time. At the end of this rampage, Taker had been thrown over the ropes by a hurracanrana, and was just getting up, causing Axxis to jump up and down on the spot. The fans cheered him on, and he quickly ran the opposite way, bounced off the ropes, then connected with a corkscrew splash to Taker, sending him to the floor again. For a few minutes after that, Axxis was in total control, until Taker was able to duck a clothesline, then nail a quick enziguri. Taker then took Axxis to the mat with a neckbreaker, gaining control of the match. He then begun to pick apart the Iron Luchador, aiming to weaken him up for the Life Force Drain, but Axxis was able to fight his way back up to standing, and then was able to gain control after a snap spinning neckbreaker. He then leapt up the top, trying to make the most of the time he had, and went for the Gravity Axxisault, a Moonsault Headbutt, but Taker rolled out of the way just in time, causing Axxis to headbutt the canvas. Taker then quickly pulled a stunned Axxis to his feet and locked in the Life Force Drain, a Main Event Sleeper, and Axxis soon faded into unconsciousness, causing the referee to end the match. When the bell rang, Soul Taker threw Axxis to the mat and laughed evilly, as the lights dimmed and fire exploded out of the turnbuckles, signalling another had fallen to La Alianza. Winner: Soul Taker by submission in 20:34 – A Summary: Hysteria & Junior Youth def. Huracan Sandoval Jr. & Tricolor Jr - B- El Bandito def. Cyclone - C+ Charron def. Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. And mad5226, he is still with us, under the name Pirata Malvado. SOTBPW.com Next week, on Guerra Extrema We are only a week away from Batalla de las Máscaras, and our main event is yet to be decided, with Pablo putting the title on the line against somebody. In the final match before the big event, he tags with Redemption members Vincente Romero and Ultimate Phoenix to face rival Nicolas Lopez and Los Sickness. Whoever scores the winning fall in this match will have proven themselves against some of the top talent in the company, and so this match is sure to be action packed. To start off the show however, we have Menor division action as Amo Del Gato makes his new year debut against Mr. Lucha III. Will Lucha be upset over his defeat by Charron last week? Will Amo be able to get the 'upset' win and further hurt the pride of Mr. Lucha? El Bandito is again in action this week as he faces young Tricolor Jr. This is a perfect example of new generation vs. old guard. Will Tricolor be able to get his first win of the year against the veteran Bandito? Or will the veteran's experience be far too much for him to handle? The final match that has been announced for this card that will definitely not disappoint, as Pirata Malvado takes on Extraordinario Jr. Both men will be accompanied by their tag partners during this match, with Soul Taker guarding Pirata, and Mexican Ghoul joining Extraordinario Jr. Will Extraordinario fall prey to an attack by La Alianza? Singles Amo Del Gato vs. Mr. Lucha III Mr Lucha III appears to be higher on the pecking order right now than Del Gato, and seeing as he lost out last week I think he'll get a victory here. Singles Tricolor Jr. vs. El Bandito Tricolor's a jobber and Bandito's on the comeback trail Singles Pirata Malvado vs. Extraordinario Jr. According to the opener roster, these are both mid-carders, so this could go either way. Seeing as I think the Pirrato is one of the best gimmicks, if probably not one of the best workers in the Cornellvers I'll go for him. Six Man Tag Team Pablo Rodriguez, Vincente Romero & Ultimate Phoenix vs. Nicolas Lopez & Los Sickness I reckon Nicolas Lopez gets the pin here, possibly on the champion himself, immediately given Lopez a reason to challenge Rodriguez of a re-match. I can't see one of the other faces getting the pin, and Los Sickness look to be too important to the Tag ranks at this moment in time.

SOTBPW Guerra Extrema Held at Parque la Junta Thursday, Week 2, January 2011 Attendance = 5,000 Announcers = Mateo Hidalgo & Eduardo Prieto Match 1: Amo Del Gato vs. Mr. Lucha III vs. This match was pretty one sided from the start, with Lucha being able to just simply outmanoeuvre the former Menor champion. The match started off with a lock up, but quickly became a brawl fest, until Lucha was able to knock Gato to the mat with a dropkick to the chest, soon following it up with a twisting Senton, knocking the air right out of Gato. Lucha remained in control for a while, until Gato was able to duck a running elbow attempt, and nailed Lucha with a hurracanrana. The match then took to the mat, with Gato managing to keep hold of control, only for Lucha to catch him with a rana out of nowhere, with Lucha leaping off of the mat, where he was lying down, in order to do so, amazing some of the fans in the audience. When Gato got back up, Lucha charged towards him and nailed the Third Strike, before making the cover and getting the victory. Winner: Mr. Lucha III by pinfall in 8:42 - C Match 2: El Bandito vs. Tricolor Jr. vs. This was expected to be a quick match, given Tricolor’s recent lack of success, but the youngster put up a surprisingly strong resistance to the veteran Bandito. The match started with Bandito throwing Tricolor around the ring with various suplexes, finishing up with a brainbuster. He tried for the first cover, but Tricolor kicked out almost immediately. He then mounted a massive comeback, punching and kicking at Bandito, until the veteran retreated outside. Tricolor then tried to go for a running no handed placha, but Bandito cracked him in the head with a double axe handle. Tricolor didn’t move for a while, allowing Bandito time to relax. The veteran then quickly rolled the youngster back in, and waited for him to stand up. Soon as he was up, Bandito kicked him in the gut then nailed the Hijack Suplex. He got the cover, with Tricolor not reacting at all. Winner: El Bandito by pinfall in 7:55 – C+ We quickly disappear backstage, with the familiar eerie red light covering the room that we can see. Nothing appears to move for a moment, until something glints in the darkness, and Pirata Malvado emerges into view, flanked by Soul Taker. Pirata is the first to speak, well…laugh. “Arr, tonight I be facing a young scallywag by the name of Extraordinario Jr. He be thinking that he can take on one of the finest buccaneers to ever set foot in this here company. With me hearties backing me up in that ring, he don’t stand no chance against the Scourge of Mexico, Pirata Malvado. I bet all me doubloons that he don’t even fight back against me, and just runs like the land lubber he be. La Alianza be coming up with a challenge for the so called “Extraordinary Destruction”. At Battala, me and me matey, Soul Taker be challenging ye to a match for your titles. Together, we be taking this promotion by storm with the rest of La Alianza, and if ye be having any guts me buccos, then accept this challenge.” Soul Taker laughs evilly behind Pirata, who just smiles and draws a cutlass from his trunks, pointing it towards the camera. C+ Match 3: Pirata Malvado vs. Extraordinario Jr. vs. This match was full of fast paced action, as Extraordinario Jr took the fight straight to Pirata, not liking what he had said earlier. Pirata was ready for it however, and he countered with a clothesline, catching Extra in mid-air following a diving double axe handle attempt. Pirata controlled the match from then on, until he got too overconfident, taking too long to hit a suplex, allowing Extra time to wriggle out of the move, and counter with an elevation dropkick, right to the back of the head. He then went up top, trying to go for the Siempre Peleando, a Spinal Tap style move, but Pirata rolled out of the way. He then dominated for a long time again, and was able to nail the Pirata Plunge, a Cutter. He tried to go for the cover, but Extra kicked out, sending Pirata into the referee, who fell to the mat. This didn’t help Extra at all, as La Alianza burst from the back and charged to the ring. The quickly laid waste to Extra, nailing several of their finishers before pulling Pirata to his feet. He went up top, and connected with a Flip Leg Drop, before going for the cover, and getting the controversial victory. Winner: Pirata Malvado by pinfall in 13:53 – B La Alianza continue to decimate Extra after the bell, until Redemption emerges from the back as well, and engages in a massive brawl with their hated rivals. In the end, the only two standing are Soul Taker and Mexican Ghoul, and Ghoul asks for a microphone: “I accept your challenge for Battalla, and if you are really that tough Soul Taker, you’ll accept a challenge for a match right now. Ring the bell!” B Match 4: Mexican Ghoul vs. Soul Taker vs. This match was just like the last one, no nonsense, just a fierce battle for supremacy. There was a short tie up at the beginning, with Soul Taker able to quickly snatch control and throw Ghoul to the mat with an arm drag, before locking him in a series of painful holds. Ghoul was able to break out after reaching the ropes, but Taker did not let up on his assault, stomping away at Ghoul, before pulling him up to his feet. Ghoul tried to nail him with an elbow smash, but Taker blocked it and headbutted Ghoul before whipping him across the ring. Ghoul was able to surprise Taker though, leaping off the ropes and connecting with a springboard cross body. He then controlled the match for a while afterwards, managing to keep Taker on the ground, hitting him with several high impact aerial moves. Taker dodged a dropkick attempt however, and was able to rebuild his momentum, and almost nailed the Soul Removal, a spinning sit out Fireman’s Carry Facebuster, but Ghoul was able to spin out of it just in time and nail the Nightmare Drop, a tornado DDT. This stunned Taker long enough for Ghoul to get the victory. Winner: Mexican Ghoul by pinfall in 15:46 – B+ We then see a long video containing highlights of the past few months, with various encounters between Pablo and Lopez, including Lopez causing Pablo to lose a match to Gino Montero the month before he won the belt. It then crackles and we see occasional flickers of a picture advertising La Alianza, particularly Los Sickness, who simply make “cutting throat” gestures. The video then resumes seeing Pablo’s victory over Lopez two weeks ago. A Match 5: Pablo Rodriguez, Vincente Romero & Ultimate Phoenix vs. Nicolas Lopez & Los Sickness vs. This match had a lot of tension present; due to the huge amount of history each of these men have with each other. The first legal men were Romero and Lopez, and they fought to a stalemate, brawling with each other, until both tagged out to their partners, Merino and Phoenix. Merino and Phoenix instantly began to fly around the ring, ending with Merino whipping Phoenix into the corner, only to have him run up to the top and connect with a massive missile dropkick. Phoenix then tagged out to Pablo, who instantly charged Merino, who had stood up, and nailed an enziguri, sending him back to the mat. For a long time after this, Pablo was in control, until the Merino was able to sidestep a clothesline, and then whip the champion into his corner. Tijuana and Lopez joined in to triple team Pablo, nailing a massive Tower Superplex that shook the ring. Merino then tagged out to Lopez, who revelled in the chance to decimate his rival, and he promptly began to stomp away at his body, before pulling him up and nailing a neckbreaker. He stayed in control for a while, before Pablo was able to stun him with a high knee smash, then following up with a running bulldog, allowing Pablo to tag out to Romero. Vincente charged in, but was met with a double clothesline from Vampire and Lopez, as Merino was still recovering. Vampire and Lopez stomped away at him until the referee sent them to the apron, but by this point, Merino was up, and he continued the assault, hitting several consecutive leg drops and then locking him in various armbars. The final few minutes of the match were hectic, with all six men each being in the ring as the same time, resulting in a huge brawl. In the end, it came down to Lopez and Phoenix, was Pablo was brawling with Merino while Vampire had thrown Vincente into the ring steps. Lopez was able to whip Phoenix into the ropes, and when he came back, planted him with a spinning Lopez Buster, causing Phoenix to bounce off of the mat. He made the cover, with Pablo coming back in just too late to break up the pin. Lopez quickly fled the ring, flanked by Los Sickness, who laughed at their opponents. Romero was not moving, currently slumped over the steel steps, while Phoenix was laying in the middle of the ring, the only surviving member being Pablo. Winners: Lopez & Los Sickness by pinfall in 19:35 – B+ Summary: Mr. Lucha III def. Amo Del Gato - C El Bandito def. Tricolor Jr. - C+ Pirata Malvado def. SOTBPW.com Batalla de las Máscaras We have now reached the big show of January, and what a massive show it looks to be, with Redemption vs. La Alianza matches present throughout the card, with Ultimate Phoenix and Axxis Jr taking on Tijuana Vampire and Enrique Merino respectively, and Malvado & Taker facing Extraordinary Destruction for their titles. To start off the night, we have Menor division action, with Charron facing "The Son of Evil" Hijo Del Memphisto, putting his title on the line. With Mr. Lucha III still looming as a threat for his title, what sort of mood will Charron be in? Speaking of Lucha, he is also in action tonight against Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr, a young up-and-comer who is looking to make an impact. We also have a lot of tag team action going on tonight, with Los Jovenes facing the Circus of Death, and Cyclone and Bandito again squaring off, this time in a tag match. The story goes that after last night show, Cyclone laid down a challenge for El Bandito, promising to best the veteran superstar. Bandito only accepted if they both could pick their partners, which Cyclone agreed to. Many are wondering whether it is somebody inside the company, or a new recruit. In the final match, we have a big rematch in Pablo Rodriguez vs. Nicolas Lopez. Following Lopez' victory last night at Guerra Extrema over Pablo's team, he demanded that he got this match, and he was granted it. Pablo was not pleased, as he had already beaten Lopez for the title this month, and was already tired of facing him. All in all, it looks set to be an action packed night. SOTBPW Batalla de las Mascaras Held at Estadio de la Revolucion Sunday, Week 3, January 2011 Attendance = 7,070 Announcers = Mateo Hidalgo & Eduardo Prieto Match 1: El Bestia Purpura vs. Rebelde Loco vs. A very quick match, and Purpura’s first in SOTBPW, but one still filled with its fair share of excitement. At the start of the match, Bestia tried to surprise Loco with a shoulder block, but Loco was able to dodge out of the way and then connect with a dropkick to the back of Bestia. He controlled the rest of the match until the end, where Bestia mounted a huge comeback. Loco seemed set for the Twisting Moonsault, but Bestia rushed to the ropes and knocked him off of the top. When Loco staggered to his feet, Bestia charged towards him and flipped him over with a monstrous spear. He didn’t go for the pin though, instead opting to go for the Beast Bomb. He pulled Loco up to his feet, but Loco had recovered already, promptly kicking Bestia in the back and then driving him into the mat with a DDT before leaping to the top and connecting with a Twisting Moonsault, getting the victory. Winner: Rebelde Loco by pinfall in 6:42 - B Match 2: Charron© vs. Hijo Del Memphisto For the Campeón de Menor title vs. A horrible match, especially for a pay-per-view, and for a champion as well. The match just seemed very static all the way through, with neither man looking like he knew what he was doing. Thankfully it wasn’t a long match, with most of it being fairly back and forth. The end came when Hijo was up top, and tried for the Satanic Elbow, an elbow drop where he spins in mid-air, but Charron moved out of the way, causing Hijo to scream out when his elbow hit the canvas. Charron quickly pulled him up to his feet and drilled him into the mat with the Fisherman’s Suplex, getting the win and retaining his title. Winner: Charron by pinfall in 7:58 – D+ Charron then quickly demands a microphone. When he gets it, he is panting, but has a smug look on his face: “You see that Mr. Lucha? I am again victorious, just like I was against you last night. I proved to everybody that your wins over me where pure fluke wins, and that I am clearly the better wrestler out of us two. I can’t wait to see you lose to Dragon in a few minutes, I need a good laugh after winning so easily tonight.” C- Charron headed to the back, and when he return from commercials, Dragon and Lucha are in the ring. Match 3: Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr vs. Mr. Lucha III vs. A good match, much better than the previous one, with both men going all out to get the win. To begin, both men fought for control, hitting several arm drags, with Lucha coming out on top, transitioning it into a tight armbar. He controlled the match from the mat for a while, until Iris was able to flip out of an armbar, and then nailed a basement dropkick. He then nailed several springboard moves, keeping Lucha down, until Lucha rolled through after a cross body. Although Iris was able to kick out in time, Lucha controlled the match from then on until the finish, where he nailed the Third Strike and got the victory. Winner: Mr. Lucha III by pinfall in 7:50 – C+ Match 4: Los Jóvenes vs. Circus of Death vs. Circus of Death were booed on their way to the ring, while Jóvenes were cheered for the first time in a while. The legal men at the beginning were Joven and Reaper Dante, and the two started with a brawl, with Joven quickly gaining control and forcing Dante into the ropes. He whipped him across the ring, and when he came back, nailed a sole kick to the chest, stopping him in his tracks. Joven remained in control for a while, and a few tags between his team later, Joven ended the match with a Moonsault to Reaper Cicero after nailing a brainbuster. Winner: Los Jóvenes by pinfall in 6:46 – C- We then see a quick video showing various highlights of the recent feud between Bandito and Cyclone, and it again highlights that both have chosen mystery partners for this match. As each man heads down to the ring, they pause, and the screen runs through pictures of all the roster members before stopping on their chosen partner. For Cyclone, it stops on Velocidad, to a large amount of applause, while Bandito’s stops on Hysteria, drawing a significant amount of heat from the crowd. C+ Match 5: Cyclone & Velocidad vs. El Bandito & Hysteria vs. A very close fought match up, with each member hitting their finishers at least once during it. The first legal men were Cyclone and Bandito, who instantly started a brawl, ending up on the outside, until they were forced to return to the ring by the referee. They continued their brawl until Cyclone was able to get the upper hand, ducking a clothesline and connecting with a leg sweep, before tagging out to Velocidad. The youngster hopped onto the top rope, and when Bandito stood up, came flying off with a missile dropkick, sending Bandito flying backwards. He then flew around the ring more, being much faster than Bandito, until Bandito managed to catch him in mid-air with a clothesline. Several frequent tags were made throughout the rest of the match, until Velocidad and Hysteria were the legal men, and Velocidad was able to hit the Velocidad Tornado, a springboard tornado DDT, and then managed to steal the win for his team. Winner: Cyclone & Velocidad by pinfall in 13:58 – B- We then see another hype video, this time highlighting the next match between Extraordinary Destruction and La Alianza IV. It contains clips of their last few matches together, along with clips of Pirata’s success in the tag ranks alongside Verdugo Estupendo. B Match 6: Extraordinary Destruction© vs. La Alianza IV For the Campeónes de Parejas titles. vs. An amazingly intense match up, with neither man showing any sort of will to quit, wit each man using throwing every piece of energy they had into it. It started out with Pirata against Extra Jr., but within the first few minutes there were several quick tags. Eventually it settled down, and Ghoul had Taker on the mat in a grounded hammerlock. Taker managed to reverse the hold on Ghoul however, and added extra pain by constantly kneeing him in the elbow. This lasted a while, until Ghoul was able to fight his way to the ropes, pulling himself up as well. More quick tags later, and Pirata was now in command of the match, having thrown Ghoul across the ring with a belly to belly suplex. The end of the match was packed full of action, as Extra Jr tried to nail his finisher on Taker, but he was thrown off the top by Pirata, and soon fell pretty to the Soul Removal from Taker, who made the cover. Ghoul tried to run in and break the pin, but Pirata leapt off the top rope and connected with a flying clothesline. The referee counted the three, and La Alianza had managed to seize control of the tag belts once again. Winner: La Alianza IV by pinfall in 17:28 – B The rest of La Alianza then emerges from the back, beating the former tag champs into oblivion. At the end of the massacre, La Alianza takes its usual formation in the ring before the turnbuckles explode, signalling that more victims have been added to their list. B+ El Demonio then grabs a microphone and speaks; his voice deep and gruff with hatred: “Pablo Rodriguez….we have issued you several warnings in the past. ‘Give us the belt, and you won’t get hurt’. However, it seems that you don’t want to do it, you wish to defy the will of La Alianza, and that makes me want to destroy even more than usual. You strut around like you’re the top man of the company, but you forget that this labels you public enemy #1, and when everybody is against you, you soon begin to lose. Tonight will be another demonstration, as Nicolas will make short work of you and take the belt away from you, proving you as a failure.” He pauses to think, as the other Alianza members smirk about what he just said. “However…if you should…somehow…defeat Lopez tonight, I challenge you to put the belt on the line against me next month. I will the annihilate you and bring some prestige to that rotten belt that you hold, while La Alianza will finally claim their spots as the most talented members of the roster, backing me the entire way. Pablo…you have little time left, use it wisely. And remember, keep one eye open, as La Alianza will always be hunting you!” He begins to laugh manically, joined by the other members of La Alianza, before we go to a commercial break. B+ Match 7: Ultimate Phoenix vs. Tijuana Vampire vs. Another match that was full of hatred, as neither man refused to bow to the other in defeat. From the start of the match, it was a game of one-upsmanship, with Phoenix generally coming out on top. A fantastic part of the match was when Phoenix had dropkicked Vampire over the top rope, and when he was staggering back up to his feet, Phoenix ran and leapt over the ropes, connecting with a no-handed twisting cross body. The match soon headed back inside the ring, and Vampire began to mount a comeback, hitting an atomic drop followed by a hurracanrana. He dominated for a while, locking Phoenix in several holds, until Phoenix was able to reach the ropes. Vampire got a little too overconfident at the point, and when he went for the Vampire’s Bite, Phoenix blocked it and nailed a beautiful enziguri, sending Vampire to the mat. He then leapt up to the top and flew off gracefully, connecting with the Phoenix Firebird Splash, a twisting 450 splash. Winner: Ultimate Phoenix by pinfall in 14:54 – B+ Match 8: Axxis Jr. vs. Enrique Merino vs. As soon as the bell rang, both men went straight at it, with Axxis managing to gain control and force Enrique into the corner, hitting him with several vicious chops. However, Merino was able to dodge another chop, and reversed their positions, before chopping away at Axxis’ chest, turning it bright red. For a while after that, Merino was in total control, until Axxis stopped Merino from going for a cross body, leaping up to the top and throwing him into the mat with a Superplex, shaking the ring. Axxis held control for a while, cleverly picking away at Merino’s legs, preventing him from being able to nail the Virus Infection properly. The end of the match came when Axxis was up top, after driving Merino into the mat with a flip neckbreaker, he then went for the Gravity Axxisault, but Merino just managed to move out of the way in time, causing Axxis to recoil in pain. Merino then staggered to his feet, pulled Axxis up, then nailed the Virus Infection, stunning Axxis enough for him to get the cover, and the win to make it two for three tonight against Redemption. Winner: Enrique Merino by pinfall in 14:55 – B We then shoot backstage to where Lopez is standing, warming himself up for his match in a few minutes. Masterrico dances into view, and Lopez instantly gets a look of disgust on his face: “May I have a few words Mr. Lopez?” “Get out of my face you idiot, you aren’t worthy of interviewing me.” Lopez snatches the microphone then pushes Masterrico out of view. “Listen, two weeks ago, Pablo got lucky with a win over the Untouchable One. I had the match in the bag, if he hadn’t of wriggled out of the Lopez Buster, it would have been lights out, and I will prove that again tonight, when I take that title, becoming a 7-time World Champion. However, in all seriousness, Pablo is a strong opponent, as shown last night when he was the only one left standing in the six-man tag match, but he is not stronger than me. The ‘Untouchable One’s’ reign on top is only a few minutes away. Guys, hold onto your girlfriends, because when I win, they won’t be able to control themselves.” A c0cky smirk appears on his face before he laughs and walks out of view. Masterrico dances back into view, with his hat slightly askew due to being shoved. B+ Match 9: Pablo Rodriguez© vs. Nicolas Lopez For the Campeón de Mundo title vs. A match full of personal hatred, a rivalry that has lasted almost a full year, with the two men finally deciding to settle it once and for all at the first big event of the year. The start of the match was fairly slow, with both men trying to seize control in a battle of strength. However, neither could gain any sort of advantage this way, and so Lopez resorted to dirty tactics when he pulled Pablo in close then jabbed him in the eye, causing the fans to explode into loud boos. He didn’t care though, instead just laughing it up before going for a suplex. He had taken too long though, as Pablo pushed him away and battered him with several punches before whipping him across the ring. After leapfrogging him four times he connected with a dropsault, causing Lopez to spin in mid-air and crash to the mat. For a while after that, he remained in control, battering Lopez into the mat from time to time, even nailing a super rana from the top rope, but the challenger was able to block a punch, and then mounted a huge comeback, forcing Pablo back into the ropes. He chopped the champion across the chest, then dropkicked him over the ropes. When Pablo staggered back up to his feet, Lopez charged forward and flew between the ropes, connecting with a running plancha. Lopez then stayed in control for about six minutes afterwards, hitting several suplex variations, including northern lights suplex, almost getting the pinfall. Pablo was not about to just give in though, and summoned all of his remaining energy towards the end of the match to put away Lopez and retain his belt. The challenger put up a strong fight as well though, almost nailing the Lopez Buster during the final minutes. Pablo was then able to duck a clothesline attempt, before sending Lopez high overhead with a Bridging German Suplex, but the challenger kicked out. In the final minutes, Pablo was in control, having hit a delayed brainbuster, stunning Lopez. Lopez staggered back up to his feet, and only just managed to resists a suplex, but was unable to dodge a boot to the gut. Pablo then nailed an enziguri, causing Lopez to drop down to one knee. Pablo backed off, made the sign of the cross, then nailed the Final Judgement, knocking Lopez out cold. He made the cover, getting the very hard fought victory in a MOTY candidate. Winner: Pablo Rodriguez by pinfall in 22:42 – A* After the match, Pablo grabbed his belt and ascended the turnbuckles to celebrate, when La Alianza emerged from the back, all five members, and charged to the ring. Pablo was able to fend off Pirata and Tijuana Vampire with his belt, but the numbers game soon overcame him, and he was on the receiving end of a 5-on-1 beatdown. The fans booed loudly, disgusted at this act, with some even pelting La Alianza with fruit or various other items. After a good few minutes, Pablo was left a bleeding mess, lying face down on the mat, his belt draped over his back, while La Alianza smiled at their latest piece of ‘art’. However, the lights then began to flicker, before finally cutting out, with each La Alianza member looking around frantically to see if anybody was trying to ambush them. When the lights came back on, every single one was lying on the mat, except for El Demonio, who leapt into the air a little when he saw what had just happened. When he looked around, desperate to find out who was responsible, an image appeared on the ring, resembling an Eagle wearing a crown. An eagle’s screech was heard before a sentence appeared on the Tron: “The Eagle King has come to exact the revenge of the Heavens.” The fans are perplexed as to who this ‘Eagle King’ could be, while El Demonio flees the ring, leaving his minions lifeless in the ring. SOTBPW.com Worker News 3 new workers joined SOTBPW this week, with us managing to sign Amazing Fire Fly and El Heroe Mexicano to exclusive contracts, along with newcomer Joaquin Sanz, who debuted just last month. Fire Fly will be in action this week, while Mexicano will be making his debut the following week. Next week, on Guerra Extrema After a fantastic event in Batalla de las Mascaras, a lot of questions were answered, who was better between Pablo and Lopez? Was Bandito unbeatable? And several others, but new one appeared at the very end. Who is the 'Eagle King'? Many fans were seen to be deep in thought after the show, and we hope that we get closer to an answer on Guerra Extrema. This week, Axxis Jr's protege, Amazing Fire Fly, makes his SOTBPW debut against fellow youngster El Bestia Purpura. Bestia made his debut at Batalla de las Mascaras in a losing effort to Rebelde Loco. Can he defeat Fire Fly in his debut and prove himself? Or will he be too slow for the slick Amazing Fire Fly? Tag team action follows, with Sadistic Youth taking on Los Jovenes. Sadistic Youth have been very verbal about how they have not been happy with the way the tag divison is going, and with new champions, they feel they need a chance to show their ability as a team. Menor division action is next, as Extraordinario Jr. takes on Hysteria. With both men being unsuccessful in tag action at Batalla, will they gain success in single competition? Or will their bad luck continue? La Alianza members Enrique Merino and El Demonio are in action in our last two matches, with Merino taking on Gonzalo Rubio, giving Rubio a chance to prove himself against one of the top talents in the company, while El Demonio faces Redemption member Ultimate Phoenix. Which faction will take the win? And will the 'Eagle King' make another appearance? SOTBPW Guerra Extrema Held at Plaza de la Concordia Thursday, Week 4, January 2011 Attendance = 5,000 Announcers = Mateo Hidalgo & Eduardo Prieto Match 1: Amazing Fire Fly vs. El Bestia Purpura vs. A fairly even match between two talented youngsters, and while it wasn’t an amazing match, it wasn’t horrible either, providing some excitement for the fans. The match started with Bestia throwing Fire Fly around the ring like a rag doll, using his superior power and more animalistic style to his advantage. However, when he tried to whip Fire Fly into the corner, the youngster merely ran up the turnbuckles before leaping off and connecting with a spinning hurracanrana. Bestia was up quickly though, but was caught with an enziguri from Fire Fly, followed with a snap neckbreaker. Fire Fly then quickly shot up top, before leaping off with a beautiful move called the Fire Fly Splash, a Shooting Star Senton, connecting right with Bestia’s gut. He then made the cover and got the debut victory. Winner: Amazing Fire Fly by pinfall in 8:08 – C- Axxis Jr came out from the back while Fire Fly celebrated, joining his protégé in the ring. He had a microphone in hand, and embraced Fire Fly before speaking: “Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to my best student, and the next big thing in Mexican wrestling, Amazing Fire Fly. As you know, I don’t like to waste my time, so I am challenging La Alianza to put their tag belts on the line against me and Amazing Fire Fly at Tormenta de Fuego, and I expect an answer soon.” He embraces Fire Fly again before they both head to the back. B+ We then head backstage, with Mr. Lucha III being interviewed by Masterrico. “I have a simple thing to say, Charron, you just don’t deserve that title, plain and simple. Some of your recent matches, where you haven’t had people to carry you through the match, have been some of the worst ever seen in the company. You are a disgrace, and I will take pleasure in taking your belt from you ne….” Charron then storms into view, interrupting Lucha. “Wait wait wait…just hold it right there. I beat you a few weeks ago, what makes you think you get another chance?” “I beat Dragon at Batalla de las Mascaras, and management decided that I deserved another shot, mainly because I was performing better than you.” An expression of anger shoots across Charron’s face. “We’ll see about that, don't get your hopes up kid.” Charron walks off towards their office while Lucha smiles and heads to his locker room. C+ Match 2: Sadistic Youth vs. Los Jovenes vs. A fairly quick match filled with various high spots, but generally an average bout, mainly to give Sadistic Youth some momentum. The match started out with Raven facing Azul as the legal men, but as soon as the bell rang, the match was all Raven, as he took Azul to the mat with a spear then locked him in several different holds, picking him apart. Azul was able to land on his feet after a belly to belly however and tagged out to Joven, who leapt onto the ropes and connected with a cross body. Raven rolled through out though and countered into a fall away slam before tagging out to Youth, who instantly climbed up the top and connected with the Idolizer to Joven, who was still down on the mat. He made the cover, and got the victory as Azul was too beaten to break it up. Winner: Sadistic Youth by pinfall in 9:34 - C The cameras then begin to flicker as we go backstage, entering a room filled with a darker red than usual, and we spot El Demonio in the corner, his hands on the top of his head. “Last week, something happened that I never thought would happen, La Alianza was decimated, and I have no damn idea who did it and how! We have never been beaten back like that, and the person who did it…only took a few seconds to do so. As a result, I have had La Alianza watching my back all the time, never leaving my side until we find out who did this.” From the darkness emerge the rest of La Alianza, with their hoods up, only showing the lowers halves of their faces, all with evil smirks across them. “But until we do, I’ve made my own contact and got somebody to counter this so called ‘Eagle King’. He will be here next week, and this company will regret the day they ever crossed La Alianza when they see who we got. As for tonights match, I hope Phoenix isn’t too overconfident, due to this being my first in ring match in about two months, as I will be bringing everything I have to this match. I need to send a message to this ‘Eagle King’, and if destroying Phoenix is what it takes, then so be it. So watch your back Mr. Phoenix, as La Alianza will forever be hunting you!” B Match 3: Hysteria vs. Extraordinario Jr. vs. A very closely fought match that ended up becoming 2nd best match of the night, showcasing the talent of two of the company’s brightest young prospects. It started off fairly slow, but soon picked up, with each man hitting several arm drags before Hysteria was able to take Extra Jr off his feet with a face buster. Hysteria then controlled the match for a while, keeping Extra grounded, until the second generation star was able to kip up out of an armbar, and the nailed a hurracanrana, sending Hysteria across the ring. Extra was able to keep this momentum going, hitting several clotheslines and dropkicks until he finally downed Hysteria with an STO. The rest of the match was very back and forth, as both men refused to go down without a fight, and it only ended when Extra was able to shove Hysteria off the top and connect with the Siempre Peleando. Winner: Extraordinario Jr by pinfall in 13:29 – B Pablo Rodriguez then appears on the screen, with a microphone in hand: “El Demonio, you are pathetic. One little ambush and you hightail it away from your allies, cowering in the corner from a person you haven’t even seen yet, just like a baby. As far as your challenge for my belt is concerned, I don’t think your worthy of facing me for it after that little tirade. You will have to prove yourself to me in the next few weeks, and at least not have another breakdown on live TV. If you even try to lay a hand on me before then, the Almighty has given me the right to unleash a beating that even Satan, your father, would fear. This ‘Eagle King’ was sent from the heavens, and his wrath will be even worse than mine. So make sure you do nothing else to annoy those who control your life, as they can make it worse than you have ever imagined.” Pablo then walks off screen laughing to himself, making the sign of the cross before completely disappearing. B+ Match 4: Enrique Merino vs. Gonzalo Rubio vs. A very one sided match, as predicted, with Merino controlling it the whole way through. As soon as the bell rang, Merino charged forward and kneed Rubio in the gut, then took him overhead with a gut wrench suplex. He then kept the match on the mat for a while, until Rubio was able to fight his way back up while in a headlock. He elbowed Merino three times before being able to break free and run to the ropes, but when he came back, Merino connected with a running high knee, stopping Rubio in his tracks. The rest of the match pretty much followed this formula, with Merino stopping any attempt at a comeback from Rubio. The end came fairly soon, fortunately for Rubio, as Merino finally showed mercy by planting Rubio with the Virus Infection, getting the easy victory. Winner: Enrique Merino by pinfall in 8:53 – B- We then see a video highlighting the La Alianza vs. Redemption feud, along with the highlights of what went down at the end of Batalla de las Mascaras, with the introduction of the ‘Eagle King’, and Demonio’s interview earlier. B+ Match 5: Ultimate Phoenix vs. El Demonio vs. Another intense match due to the whole Alianza/Redemption feud, but Demonio seemed to be focusing elsewhere throughout the match, probably making sure that Eagle King didn’t attempt another ambush. When the match started, Phoenix was able to sweep Demonio’s legs out from under him and go for a quick pin, but the Living Demon was able to kick out and get back to his feet before competing in a challenge of strength with Phoenix, which he won. He used this chance to pull Phoenix in for a clothesline, then nailed an elbow drop before going for a quick cover himself. Demonio was able to keep the match under his control for a while, picking Phoenix apart with various different holds, focusing on the lower back and legs of his opponent, setting him up for the Eternal Agony. Phoenix had too much fight left in him though, and when Demonio got over confident he was able to get up to his feet, holding Demonio’s leg, then snap off a dragon screw leg whip. He then ran to the ropes, leapt over the prone body of Demonio, and then on his return hit a twisting senton splash before going for another cover. He got a 2 count before Demonio kicked out again, shoving him through the ropes. Phoenix was quick to recover, and tried to get back in, but Demonio kicked him in the face with a baseball slide, before leaping over the top with a body splash, landing right on top of Phoenix. They stayed down for a while, before eventually climbing back into the ring before the referee counted to ten. They began to start a slow brawl, but this quickly broke down, as Phoenix whipped Demonio into the ropes, and the two began a speed competition, as each kept bouncing off of the ropes, speeding up, faster and faster, until both men were practically a blur. Demonio picked a perfect moment though, nailing Phoenix with a dropsault, turning Phoenix inside out, making him spin/flip about three times. After taking a little time to get his breath back, Demonio stomped away at the back of Phoenix before locking him in the Eternal Agony, a Boston Crab where he pulls the opponent back further than usual. Phoenix screamed in pain and tried to claw his way over the ropes. Demonio sat down on his back though, preventing him from moving. Phoenix refused to tap, but when Demonio applied more pressure, he had no choice and gave the victory to Demonio in a very hard fought match. Winner: El Demonio by submission in 16:32 – A The lights again begin to flicker until the same eagle screech is heard, with a message appearing on the screen: “The Eagle King will descend from the heavens during the next Fire Storm.” Demonio looks beside himself with anger, obviously because Eagle King was too frightened to show himself tonight. He looked around, trying to spot him, before heading to the back, being jeered by the fans. B Summary: Amazing Fire Fly def. El Bestia Purpura – C- Sadistic Youth def. Los Jovenes – C Extraordinario Jr. def. Hysteria – B Enrique Merino def. Gonzalo Rubio – B- El Demonio def. Ultimate Phoenix - A Overall = B Notes: A solid show, with Fire Fly’s debut going well.

SOTBPW.com Next week, on Guerra Extrema Another solid Guerra Extrema, with more confusion being added around the identity of the 'Eagle King'. Some are saying it is somebody from inside the company, some say it is a returning big name, while others say it is somebody totally new to the promotion. All we know is that he will appear at the 'next Fire Storm', whatever that means. In the main event of the next show, we have La Alianza member Soul Taker taking on young hopeful Rebelde Loco. Loco has been hoping to break into the main event in the last few months, and a win here will definitely do that. But Soul Taker is no easy opponent, he sure has his work cut out for him. As promised, El Heroe Mexicano will be making his debut this week against Hijo Del Memphisto, in a battle of young talent, much like last week when Amazing Fire Fly defeated El Bestia Purpura. Can Mexicano also experience a debut victory? Or will Memphisto's recent bad luck streak end tonight? We then see Junior Youth facing off against Amo Del Gato. With the tag title contendership being up for grabs, Youth has been trying to persuade management to give him and Raven another a shot at the belts, and a win here may make them take notice. Another tag team Los Jovenes have been hoping to get a shot, and this week El Diamante Azul will be in singles action against tag champ Pirata Malvado. Will he be able to upset the champ and make a statement, or will Azul become the latest victim of La Alianza? El Leon is then in our semi-main event, facing youngster Tricolor Jr. Leon has not been in action as of late, and looks to prove he is still as good as ever against a person who would love to get the victory over such an established name as Leon. Singles El Heroe Mexicano vs. Hijo Del Memphisto Singles Amo Del Gato vs. Junior Youth Singles Pirata Malvado vs. El Diamante Azul Singles Tricolor Jr. vs. El Leon Singles Rebelde Loco vs. Soul Taker Predictions are welcome. Thanks for the nomination in the diary of the month thread Tigerkinney, it is much appreciated. Good to know i'm doing well, any critiques or comments about my writing style/promos etc.?

Singles El Heroe Mexicano vs. Hijo Del Memphisto It's really pathetic to lose your debut match. Unless that's your gimmick. Singles Amo Del Gato vs. Junior Youth See Next Match Singles Pirata Malvado vs. El Diamante Azul Youth and Azul both win (although Azul may win by DQ) and they go on to have their teams face for #1 Contendership. Singles Tricolor Jr. vs. El Leon Tricolor is highly underrated and I think a win here would let you help build the youngster. Singles Rebelde Loco vs. Soul Taker Personally I hitnk it would be silly to let Soul Taker lose here.

Would have posted earlier, but the site conked out again during my lunch break (seem's to be happening quite alot lately) Singles El Heroe Mexicano vs. Hijo Del Memphisto People generally don't lose on their debut, if they've been given even a little bit of hype Singles Amo Del Gato vs. Junior Youth Junior Youth wins to stake a claim for his team Singles Pirata Malvado vs. El Diamante Azul Ditto for El Diamante Singles Tricolor Jr. vs. El Leon I think El Leon may have a bit too much experience for Tricolor, though a win here for the youngster could kick start his career Singles Rebelde Loco vs. Soul Taker Can't see Soul Taker taking the loss in this one. On paper this looks to be a bit of a 'keep things ticking over' card, with not really any stand-out matches, so I wouldn't be surprised if what you have in store will be more storyline/angle driven for this show.
