PhotobucketPhotobucket NWA SHOWDOWN Week 1, December 2001 Attendance: 5000 (sold out) Convention Center Arena PhotobucketPhotobucket Jim Ross and Dusty Rhodes welcome us to another exciting night of NWA action. They run down briefly of the events that had happened last week. After they finish showing some highlights, they get word that Ric Flair is ready to make a statement. Photobucket Ric Flair tells us that if Jarrett is wanting a title match so bad he is going to have to prove his worth against Rhino. He also announces that Steve Blackman will have to put his belt on the line tonight against someone who impressed him last week, Monty Brown. Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket A video is played showing the highlights from the Chris Kanyon and Sean Morley match from last week. A match that Kanyon had won via count out. Photobucket Photobucket.../WPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket Rhino beat Jeff Jarrett: Jarrett was pissed about having to prove he was worthy of a title match. But his anger left Jarrett short sighted and on numerous times had Rhino down but instead played with the crowd saying how he is the chosen one and he should be world champion now. But Cornette decides enough is enough. He gets involved distracting the referee and Jarrett long enough for Steve Blackman to come in and nail Jarrett with his kendo stick. Photobucket
Jarrett looked very good out there drawing some great heat
...Fade To Comercial... PhotobucketPhotobucket Raven is seen backstage talking to Randy Orton. He apparently has reached some kind of deal with Orton as Orton agrees with a handshake. Rand walks away and Raven is seen with a wiry grin. Photobucket and Photobucket Photobucket Chris Kanyon is backstage saying he was o so close to taking Sean Morley's title away from him. If it wasn't for a unlucky shot, he would be the new North American Champion right now. Sean, you wont be so lucky next time, Who better than Kanyon? To be the next North American Champion. But both managed to pick up the tempo and put on a good match. The end saw Blackman buying time for Cornette to call in Rhino and he delivered THE GORE to Monty for Blackman to pick up the win. Photobucket Photobucket Flair announces that this is the 1st match of the best of three series for the NWA World Tag Team Titles. This match will be a Tables match. Photobucket Photobucket Jeff Jarrett is backstage in not his usual ****y self attitude. He says he has been in the business for a very long time. And he is about to do something that he never would have thought he would do. Reach out to an enemy.
