Mod you'd most like to play on TEW 08?

I would like to see a mod that begins in early 1997, the slow rise of Steve Austin after KOTR 96 and when Shawn really started pissing around with his mates and his position.

1990, because that's when I started really watching wrestling. Granted that time period only has two real pwoerhouses in WWF and NWA/WCW. But hell, it would be fun to try and ressurect AWA or try and get WCCW noticed again

Take the War's End mod, make it 2008 compatible, and fix the gimmick ratings. Right there you've got a near-perfect mod for me. But then, I'd also like to see a 2002 mod set right before the WWE brand split took place. Seems like an ideal place for a mod to start.

I personally think that a 1998 scenario is the best and I remember playing it in TEW05. The reason I picked that year is because I think wrestling turned a corner that year and really changed the business forever - a lot happened in '98. That's why it's an exciting year to start for almost every promotion in the game world. Oh wow. I may go find a TEW07 1998 scenario somewhere because of this thread. I won't sleep for hours!

I said 1990, that was a really interesting time that hasn't been covered in mods much at all. What I would like to see most though is a mod from 2002 that starts with either a TNA or ROH startup, that would be fun to take one of those companies and build them how you see fit.

I'd like to play a mod that is essentially the c-verse but with a fed comprised of forum members and Adam Ryland as owner. With GDSWF being the most budget promotion existing and next-to-no capital, a largely talentless roster, and Mister Ryland being the boss from hell (purely creative license--no assumptions being made. More challenge than working under business savy nice guy, eh). Can you manage to bring the fed out from the dark and compete with the big boys, and just what sacrifices would it take? The dynasties could be a lot of fun. I keep meaning to make a start on one, but whenever I get to the editor I just think "ah, screw this'

'99. Just as WCW really starts to lose the plot and WWE begin to put a strangehold on the business.

When Vince Russo was put in power, that would be interesting. Can WWE continue the push ahead of WCW or can WCW recover. The 2002 brand split suggestion is a solid one although I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of mod making "fudging" and having TNA start off the game as being open to give the player another option on who to play with.

I say 1990 mostly because it was around the royal rumble that year that I started watching wrestling. There is a real world mod for 1983 then the next one I know of skips to 1993 and that is a pretty big gap. My favorite period in wrestling is definately 87-90 so anything that covers that area would be super.

I'm most excited to play DOTT which is set in '83. Ideally, I'd love one set in 1980 and to go from there. Of the above dates, I think a really good 1995 one would be excellent. You have Hogan and Savage jumping to WCW, WWF struggling with HBK on top and the emergence of ECW (as well as Smokey Mountain) and you're only a year or two away from Steve Austin really coming into his own.

1999, I miss the betters days of the attitude badly. Oh you didn't knoooow? Your ass better call somebody! In my point of view, the industry went downhill with the death of all WWF competition (WCW and ECW) and is at an all-time low today (that is, except if TNA finally crosses that line and starts using their roster correctly, or if ROH grows enough, it could go right back on track).

1997, peak of the Monday Night Wars, lots of exciting television, the NWO hadn't ballooned to include like.. everyone in WCW. Shand Douglas, RVD, Terry Funk, Raven, Sabu etcetera all still in ECW. WWF was just about to break out with Austin, the first Hell In A Cell match was held, Bret Hart was still involved with the company. I vote '97.. sort of a turning point year in wrestling, if you ask me.

I'm realy hoping for some more historical C-Verse mods. Maybe an 80s one would go down well. Maybe a future C-Verse mod as well, say like 2020. With the autoclicker it would be pretty simple to fast forward and use that as a template, and just tweak certain parks, add new guys ect.

I voted 1996, just due to the fact that if you do it before Hall debuted as an Outsider, you can take wrestling in such a different direction. Otherwise I would actual like a [b]2003-2004[/b] mod, based around Evolution!

'97. And if anybody is hardcore enough to make this mod "backwards-compatible", as-it-were, with [i]TEW 2007[/i] I'd be most appreciative... '93-'94 is another interesting time, I think, where you could completely get behind "The New Generation" or the WCW "Originals" depending on which promotion you picked. Just imagine how different it all would be if WCW capitalised properly on all of Sting's momentum or if the Montreal Screwjob never happened?

Personally, I'd love an up to date 2008 mod. Just becuase when I book dates that have already happened, I tend to book them to match what really happened which kinda defeats the idea of the game!

I'd love to see Sam Strong in his prime.
