maskedpropaganda
Alright - now "needs something to freshen character up" means Gimmick change I beleve (please correct me if I am wrong), and the notes tell ya something when ya need a heel/face turn for a character (if someone remembers off the top of ya head what exactly the note reads please tell me) BUT if ya running say INSPIRE or a start up indy that doesn't have Heels & Faces and is using a Key Feature of Realism and is trying to pass off as a "real" combat promotion heavily MMA influenced, is there anyway to get around this? If not, then if ya have no Heels/Faces or any promos or anything of the sort to initiate turn, and is 100% based around the competition - when can/do ya turn em? - Second if everyone in ya fed has NONE as a gimmick and they tell you to freshen the character... Whatcha do? OR any advice or thoughts thatcha can give me would be cool. Appreciations.
Maximilian_WWW
I don't know if there's any way around this but at least you can also turn your guys during a match. Not sure what that would do to your match ratings though. And I believe that "needs something to freshen up character" just tells you that you should think about changing someone's gimmick. As long as the "needs a change of character desperately" message doesn't show up, you don't have to do anything about it. I'm not a 100% on this but that's how I understood it. It is getting like... so freakin' annoying... At first I just ignored them but now it seems probably half my roster is in need of this and it has really turned me off on that paticular game. maskedpropaganda
So no one has a clue huh? So what makes the game ask for this? I have None on Heels/Faces and 100% match ratio, I had Very Low on Mainstream that I switch to none... I no idea if that did ANYTHING, but it was the only factor I could even Imagine would be effecting this. It probably meant nothing, but there SOMETHING in game that makes it ask for this that I need to turn off or d@mn SOMETHING... it is probably easy and fixable I would imagine. ANY ideas would be helpful. I know some of ya like Stranger, Apu, and others know the mechanics of the game ALOT better then myself - and if ANY of you guys have any clue of why this is effecting this game then PLEASE inform. If ya don't have any ideas, then advice of what you would do if ya were in my place would be good. Thanks again you guys.
Derek B
Answers to a few questions: - There is a "Turn" road agent note you can use to turn people during matches. (if you want/need to) - the notes you get about characters/gimmicks could refer to gimmick changes OR turns. Adam stated this a while back, and added that either could work but there are times where it really is one more than the other. - Posting up a full product description may help. I suspect you've got Cult set fairly high as that is in fact an entertainment aspect of product. It doesn't mean "target only these fans", it means "target a group of fans who prefer deep storylines rather than simple storylines". If you have a lot of cult in your product your fans will expect subtle characters... Otherwise, what patch are you using and when did you start the game? It could be that your old product settings called for gimmicks and that the workers were getting stale at some point before that... and then their gimmick decline has just continued. If cult isn't your problem, try assigning some new gimmicks and see if you get any more notes about gimmicks.
maskedpropaganda
TRADITIONAL: MEDIUM MAINSTREAM: NONE COMEDY: VERY LOW CULT: VERY LOW (WAS AT MEDIUM BEFORE DEREK'S ADVICE TO LESSEN) RISQUE: NONE MODERN: KEY FEATURE REALISM: KEY FEATURE HYPER REALISM: LOW HARDCORE: NONE LUCHA LIBRE: MEDIUM PURE: HEAVY DAREDEVIL: VERY LOW That is what product settings are currently at after the Cult change. Anything else that would effect this? Like the Lucha I had to aid the High Flyers and few Mexican talents, but Lucha Libre is based off of gimmicks & heel/face feuds so thought maybe that would effect. Thanks for your advice derek!!! Phantom Stranger
It *may* be Modern being so high, if I'm remembering what Modern is correctly. How many of your guys could you give Legitimate Athlete and No Gimmick Needed gimmicks to? I think you should be fine on face/heel with there being no difference, but those gimmicks may be what you need to rotate between in terms of your product.
