jamck
I went to a car show today now I normally don't like them but Virgil was there taken pictures with people. He was Ted Dibiase's bodyguard until he turned on Dibiase and won the million dollar championship and he was in wcw for a bit.His real name is Mike Jones.I got my picture taken with him which I might post later and it was free. I also got a t shirt(it was twenty five bucks which was kind of expensive) and I went to a store and got a hardy boys t shirt and undertaker t shirt. I hadn't really heard about him but my dad told me about him so I googled him.He was also a pretty nice guy and the second wrestler I have ever met which coincidentaly(spelling) they both have the name Mike
cappyboy
Man, wish I could have made that car show. Was a big fan of this guy back in the day. Not so much as Virgil or any of the names he had in WCW as in his indie days. He sported patriotic red, white and blue tights and a matching top hat under the name of Soul Train Jones. I'd always felt he seemed toned down during his stretch in the big time. And this was before I was online and started hearing how common a practice this was or at least was perceived to be. Glad you got to meet him and that the experience was a positive one.
Guest Ransik
I met DiBiase in '96 and Paul Vachon in '04 when he won our World Title. On May 9th I'm gonna be hanging around the TNA show I'm going to hours early and later to meet as many of em as possible! :D
masterded
I once met Brock Lesnar in a Boston Market. I am filling my soda look to my right and see a monster of a man. He sees me looking at him and before I even say anything he asked me if I wanted an autograph. So I got an autograph and then wished him good luck with the Vikings shook his hand and he left. Man was my sister jealous she was at are table watching. Also sounds fun nick.
GardnerFTW
I ended up in a bar in Toronto the night before Wrestlemania 18 with several WWE people. I was hammered before they go there, but I do remember Michael Cole, Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, Scott Hall, RVD were there. Along with some others. Met Macho Man and Elizabeth when I was younger at a grand opening. Met Tommy Dreamer once. Ax from Demolition and Doink wrestled at my high school when I was a junior, so I met them when helping setting up the ring and getting the lockerroom ready. AfRoMaN36
I heard Virgil was a tool. I've even heard some of his shoot interviews in which he berates the interviewer, comming off as bitter or mad. Glad to know he was atleast nice to you.
Moe Hunter
I'm reminded of that picture from a Virgil signing, with no one else around...
BurningHamster
I'm reminded of that picture from a Virgil signing, with no one else around...
Yeah, that one was a classic. It was funny but so sad. If I were a wrestler I think I would end up being Virgil, a weird sad lonely guy hardly anyone remembers who just doesn't know when to move on. Lt. Lucrativo
I've always had something of a soft spot for Virgil. I met him at an autograph signing a few years ago. He asked me if I wanted a polaroid, and when I said yes he quickly leaped up and grabbed me in a headlock before I had any idea what was going on. It ended up being a great photo. He did seem to be a little out of touch with reality, though. He kept talking about how he was in contact with Vince McMahon and was getting ready for a comeback. (This was in 2002.) His idea, if I remember it correctly, was to have a segment with Brock Lesnar walking through a backstage parking lot and that he would jump out from behind a car and beat the crap out of him with a steel chair to make his big return. I also remember him talking about owning a mansion in Las Vegas, bringing women there, and chasing them around the house with his dogs. It all sounded pretty strange to me.
