markhenry
Hi, I'm a fan of UFC, I love TEW but am giving up with that since moving over to Vista because it crashes once a week (game time). I've downloaded the MMA demo, and it has it's similarities to TEW (and certainly EWR), so is it worth me buying? Is there enough uniqueness for me to keep addicted too it? And because TEW crashes on my Vista computer all the time, will this game?? Thanks.
Derek B
The main reason that TEW07 has issues with Vista is that the game was created before Vista was even around. There are a number of ways that seem to help things but I don't know how complicated they are to use. :) As for WMMA, if you've played the demo and not had Vista problems then it should run fine. Similarly, if you've played the demo you should have a good basic idea of how good the game is. If you enjoy the limited amount of game-time you get through the demo then I'm sure you'll enjoy the full game even more. Dealing with injuries, developing workers over the long term, growing your company, balancing the books and making dream matches are just some of the things you can expect over the course of a long term game. So in short... if you enjoy the demo, haven't had problems with the demo and have the cash... then go for it. :D
markhenry
Cheers. I really hope it doesn't crash. You gave me the reason for why TEW crashes, but didn't say if this game was wrote before or after Vista??? And there's not a new version due out in the near future is there?? War Kapur
1. written after I believe. 2. No new version as of right now. 3. Great game, I love it.
mbroadbent16
i personally dont feel its worth its money to be honest - although i do love all the tew's before anyone gets on my back. the reason for it is purely that i thought there would be more focus in building up matches (i know thats more storylines as per wrestling) but i find wmma very limited. i read many reports on here to say wmma (and tew08 will be) work perfectly well with vista as this game came out after vista. im personally really looking forward to tew08 and possibly the next wmma as at the end of the day this is the first in the series and the tew series have greatly improved. but if you like the demo then my opinion probably is irelevant as everyone tastes are different
Blasphemywebleed
I'm going to be buying WMMA in a couple of days. I'm a newcomer to MMA and have only watched a few shows, but the demo of WMMA kept me hooked enough to buy it.
Nephrinn
Short answer: Yes, it's totally worth buying. Believe it or not, I became a MMA fan after playing WMMA. I also haven't had any issues with crashing and I play it like crazy.
THEDEMONSEED
thought of getting it myself. though i should download the demo first. then again maybe i should get my computer. (waiting on tax refund.) old pc bit the dust awhile back.
jamie1989
I've got plenty more play out of it than expected and I've not really been using the real world mods. It's a good investment.
BlackJackRob21
Crash. On Vista my game will crash after one or two hours, which is long enough to get some good playing done. So I just reboot and enjoy all over again, which makes it more great it saves once a week.
gibson
If you liked the demo.. then I'd say yes, worth the buy.. It seems kinda costy.. but I've been playing it ever since january.. Go for it

What's with buying a computer game on a sport you know nothing about, and then that game, in this example, just being a management/booking game, get you into the sport?!? I don't get it, and I'm not trying to be nasty (thanks for recommending me to buy it by the way), but if you enjoy Sim City are you going to study to become a town planner?!? LFC_chris
I like it a lot more than I thought I would - I'm not really a massive MMA fan, I prefer boxing, but I'll watch it now and again if there's a bit fight on. I didn't think it'd be worth the money at all, but after playing the demo I bought it and found I played it a lot more than I thought I would. However, I don't play it much at all now, so I don't know if it's worth the money. If you're into MMA and strategy/management games it probably is though. And the closer we got to TEW 07 the more I learned to appreciate the technical aspect of it, now I'm a full blown fan-boy.

ilovebarbu
I bought the game but thought it'd be worth only when real db would be out. Then I played C-Verse and really enjoyed the game a lot, made it alone worth in my eyes. Then, TapOrSnap and ModernWarriors (I think MW is more accurate, but ToS db is deeper and also very good) came out, and now I really have a lot of fun. So, yes it's worth buying :)

Carparama
Oh, so it isn't that slow at all? I haven't tried WMMA with a huge database on this computer yet. Hoping it'll be much faster.
Carparama
I'm actually going to buy this a second time, and maybe someone will see this and help me get a refund on it, or something. We'll see what happens. :) EDIT: Won't even let me buy it. Good grief. EDIT #2: Demo isn't working well on Vista, and I'm not comfortable making any changes. Damn.
