cyrus1469
Clarification of the Rules

The fights in the first round of the tournament will be decided by the two coaches alternating picks. For instance, if Team Silva picks the first fight and wins, Team Bisping will still pick the second fight. This will go throughout the first round of the tournament, with picks alternating with the outcome of the fights having nothing to do with the next fight.
.
In round two, the team with more wins in round one will pick all of the round two fights.
Onto The Winners The winners of The Ultimate Fighter competition, and certain runner-ups depending on their performance in their competition finals, receive the touted "six-figure" contract to fight in the UFC. These contracts are specifically three-year contracts with a guaranteed first year. Each year consists of three fights, the first year's purse per fight consist of $12,000 guaranteed with a $12,000 win bonuses (a maximum of $24,000 per fight), the second year's purse per fight is $16,000 with a $16,000 win bonus (a maximum of $32,000 per fight) and the third year's purse per fight is at $22,000 with a $22,000 win bonus (a maximum of $44,000 per fight). A TUF winner who goes 9-0 can earn $300,000 total on the contract, but only $150,000 is guaranteed for all three years if 9 fights are fought. What about the rest ? Those that have not won the competition can still fight in the UFC. Their contracts however are not the same as the six-figure deal above.
Romdawg88
Confessional Booth Romy Alvarez: I can't begin to say how thrilled I was when Silva called my name. The man is one of my favorite fighters in the world and I'm getting a chance to train with him for the next six weeks. I have a similar style to Anderson so I know working with him so do wonders for my game. Not to mention the great coaching staff he brought along. These are the guys who help all those great fighters out of Black House train and prepare for their matches. I have no doubt that the Blue team is by far the stronger team and we're going to win this thing.
combatmedic
Confessional Booth: Jason "Doomsday" Davis: Hell yeah, I think Team Silva is going to win. Do you honestly think I would think otherwise?? I have respect for both of the coaches, and it's been my dream to train with The Spider. But, let me tell you something, I will win this, there is no doubt about it. I am the most athletic, the most ferocious, and the cutest guy here. Heh, once I win this, I want Anderson Silva!!! I will prove to the world that if you underestimate Jason Davis, doomsday will be sure to follow.

I really felt I could take my BJJ to another level with him. Bisping is turning out to be a funny guy, though. We'll see how it ends up. Looking forward to getting the matches started and seeing what everyones got!

Dustin
Fight Announcement Gentlemen, UFC President Dana White has informed me that Team Silva will select the first fight this season. I've talked it over with my assistant coaches and we feel that we've made a good choice. The first fight will be Team Silva's Thomas Salerno against Team Bisping's Scott Hapak. gbmoore
Fight Discussion for Salerno v. Hapak Bruce Sommerset: I'm really looking forward to this fight. Salerno has some great submissions and ground control. That could make for a bad match up for The Hammer. We really need to gain control of the fight selection, though, and I am hoping for some magic. The Hammer is a big 185 and should be able to use that power to stop those submission attempts. He seems to be much more patient than what I have seen in Salerno. I am hoping he can use that strength to put him against the cage and work him with some dirty boxing. That's what Randy has been working on with him.
Romdawg88
Confessional I really like this first fight for our team. I got a chance to roll with Salerno during the evaluation process and in training and he has a great ground game. From what I saw of Hapak he is a tough guy but doesn't have much in the way skills. The team pretty much agreed that he was one of the weaker fighters on the Grey team so we made this match to grab us an easy win. I think Hapak's only chance is to catch Salerno with a wild haymaker but Salerno is too good defensively to let that happen and once the fight fights the ground it's over. Cro_Cop45
Confessional: Ben Blackmore: Really excited to see how this first fight goes down. Hapak is a beast and working with a wrestlers as good as Michael and Randy are only going to help him. His cardio is insane, he had me blown away on our run today. Can't wait for the fight and I can't wait to really start training with everyone. Most excited actually to work with Dean Lister, I pride myself on my submission game and being able to roll with one of the best grapplers in the world is only going to help. I really look foward to going deep into this thing and Lord willing winning it all.

I tend to think we are similar fighters as we are both tough from the clinch and have knockout power! Now onto my prediction for the fight...its easily going to team Silva. Salerno needs to put Hapak in his place. There is only one true hammer and that is me!

chris caulfield
Confessional Thomas Salerno: Well first of It is a great honour to be on the team of the best p4p fighter in the world right now. And secondly I am very, very happy about me being in the first match. Hopefully I will take him down pretty quickly and then make him tap so I will be safe till the second round. Actarus
Confessional: Fong: I’m admittedly not much for talking. I didn’t come here to talk trash, call the people I’ll be fighting names…for me, that’s all just a waste of time. I came here to become the best fighter I can possibly be. With all that said, I’ve also always been a team player. So while I wish both fighters luck, Salerno, I expect you to kick ass and take names in this round. Kainlock
Confessional Booth Frank Night I am truly just excited to be in the house. I felt it was a win win situation with the coaches. True I was more partial to Anderson Silva since he is a well rounded fighter and perhaps the best Pound for Pound fighter in the world. Still Michael Bisping should really help me develop my striking and stand up. After learning the assiant coaches I would have preferred Team Bisping. Randy Couture will be a huge honor to train with a fighter like that. Not to mention Dean Lister can help with Jujitsu. Looking at the rest of my team It is mostly Jujitsu and wrestlers. That will help me work the rest of my ground game and I can help some of the wrestlers with submissions. I look forward to training and will give it everything. This is a once and life time opportunity and I put everything I have to come out on top.
Kainlock
Confessional Booth Frank Night: I would take this match up as it is, Scott is quite strong and a good wrestler. If Thomas isn’t used to dealing with wrestlers it could be quite bad for him. And Team Silva doesn’t have a pure wrestler fighter or coach. Thomas of course will be fine with being on his back, but Scott maybe just too strong. I will over him some help with submissions and defence if he wants to. NickC13573
Confessional Nicholas "Young Gun" Clements: Who do I think will win? that has to be a joke, right. Salerno is a good fighter, and I do not doubt that he has been training hard, but Hapak is training harder, and faster. His Wrestling and BJJ are better than ever, mostly because I am his training partner, and that guy hits harder than a mofo. Salerno better watch out. You got a guy who is trained in BJJ working with arguably the best P4P fighter in MMA who is also trained in BJJ. It should be a good fight but in the end Salerno gets the win for Team Silva.
