my favorite in my diary so far , at least for twist, turns and longevity, has to be my recent feud that started with Ota taking on Acid II (or as I call him in the game Acidic) over whether Acid II was worthy of being the protege of Acid. Acidic took the first match which led to a best of seven match with Acidic title on the line against his claim on the Acid legacy. Acidic wins the best of seven, gets attacked by Ota, seems to get rescued by his mentor Acid, only to be savagely sneak attacked by Acid. Acidic is then saved by my user character David Mack, who has had major feuds with both Acid and Ota in the past. This leads to Acidic and Mack taking on Cult of the Gray Dragon members Acid and Ota. The rest of the feud is on hiatus as Acid has always been a traded talent and isn't able to be traded right now as he holds a title.

My legacy of T-Rex overall stoylines have been what I've enjoyed the most. Started off with T-Rex going on a massive, massive win streak (during which time he learned how to almost wrestle and is now acceptable on the microphone), and basically being a brutal monster heel, annihilating opponents beyond the needs to win the match. His manager, Gerald the Toff, declared that T-Rex should be number one contender for the USPW World title, which Sam Strong responded by not wanting to give such a violent monster the top prize in the company. So T-Rex ended up in a long feud with Sam Strong to try and force his way to be number one contender, involving various taunts, T-Rex bursting out of drywall to pummel Sam Strong with a dinosaur bone he carries as a weapon (lulz? Yes.) and T-Rex being "suspended" only to pop in with the already mentioned dry wall explosion. There was a ladder match which held a #1 contender contract between Strong and T-Rex, and Strong managed to knock Rex off the ladder and burn the contract. Which then lead to T-Rex trying to circumvent Strong and went straight for the champ, Bruce the Giant. Following more lengthy shenanigans, T-Rex managed to be named number one contender and fought Bruce the Giant in a Cage match, where T-Rex hit a Hogan bodyslamming Andre epic level of The Extinction to finally win the belt. So Sam Strong brought in the one person who he hoped could stop T-Rex and win back the USPW title for the forces of good... Alicia Strong. Alicia showed she had the ability to possibly beat T-Rex, but everytime she came close Gerald the Toff would interfere. (It should be noted that T-Rex at this point had one loss, the ladder match against Sam Strong. He has not been pinned or submitted.) Sam Strong decided to make things "fair", and suspended Gerald the Toff. T-Rex was smart enough to realize Alicia still had Sam Strong in her corner, so things were hardly fair.... so he pitched Sam Strong off the stage and removed him from the current events for a while. T-Rex had grown weary of constantly winning and wanted to know if Alicia Strong really was better than him, and the only way to do that was without Gerald and Sam Strong present. So they had an epic, non-gimmick match... and T-Rex managed to pull out the win. But with it T-Rex had found a new quest... to see if ANYONE could beat him. Challenger after challenger tried for a couple of months, but the quest seemed hopeless... Until Puerto Rican Power, a man who once challenged Bruce the Giant himself for the World title, returned to USPW! The friendly challenged turned into a bloody feud, with T-Rex taking exception to the unkind words from Puerto Rican Power. Finally, Puerto Rican Power and T-Rex agreed to settle things in a Cage match, where the odds of BS happening were low. They brawled at the top of the cage, and T-Rex took a spill... to back inside the ring. And after a year of reigning as champion, T-Rex lost the belt to Puerto Rican Power. Course, T-Rex is still yet to be pinned or submit. And now I'm trying to completely figure everything else out. Perhaps T-Rex will fight to regain what's his... or maybe he'll take a month off to train in the dark matches.

I always run this storyline in my 98 games where I join dX as lower card guy And once Stephanie McMahon debuts, they begin an odd friendship. Its only odd because dX and the corporation hate eachother. (Think Spike Dudley and Molly Holly when the Hollys and the Dudleyz were feuding.) We start out just as friends though my loyalty remains with dX. Soon though it becomes an issue. Triple H and HBK dont like it at all and give me an ultimatum. After faking it like I'm no longer talking to her for a while, I come to her aid one night and blow the cover. dX kicks me out and I'm forced by Vince who doesn't approve to face HHH at The PPV before Wrestle Mania. (St. Valentines Day Massacre) I lose the match, but Stephanie comes to my aid. And as Triple H walks away, I propose to Stephanie, revealing my undying love for her. She accepts and this angers the McMahon family even more. And each week until Mania I'm thrown in handcap matches and what not, with no help from dX since they hate me. But I do it anyway and get my ass handed to me in the process because I love Stephanie so much. The wedding takes place at Wrestle Mania (Falls most oftn on April 1st) where I face Shane McMahon in a street fight and win. After he shakes my hand and gives me his blessing. During the wedding however, during my wedding vows I reveal slowly that shes been fooled all along in an elaborate April fools joke with me and dX. She was fooled all along just to piss off Vince. Now wouldnt you want to watch that?
Now wouldnt you want to watch that?
No. I've had way over my quota of wrestling weddings and DX skits for at least five lifetimes. My fav storyline was when I had the tag team championships vacant in a streak of bad luck as Mark Briscoe left me for a bigger company just as Jay got injured. I randomly selected teams (really randomly, coded a quick macro in excel to pick pairs of heels and pairs of faces for me) to compete in a 16-team tournament (that represented the entire roster minus the women's division, the heavyweight champion Chris Benoit, and the number one contenders Monty Brown and Kurt Angle). The only team that seemed logical in it was AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels, the others were more or less weird (eg. The Undertaker & Sonjay Dutt). I got really invested in it for the ingame month or so it lasted, and a few durable teams spawned from it, which helped me totally renew my tag team division, with Hernandez & Erick Stevens becoming my new champions and reigning as so for nearly a year, changing their gimmicks to a couple of heelish punk powerhouses, aswell as the teams of Austin Aries & John Morrison and Chris Hero & Elijah Burke (first one had good chemistry, second one was a way to deal with Hero & Burke being upper midcarders with no active storylines) Having my roster looking completely different after the tournament helped me regain lots of interest in the game and had me going for another two years in it, as I eventually got the Briscoes back and rose to global level, with the only major issues being a year-long Kurt Angle injury and Nigel McGuiness going away to film a movie in the middle of a storyline that was meant to have him headline my biggest annual PPV. Funnily enough, it seems similar to what's happening in TNA right now. I hope they'll get something good out of that vacated title belts situation, and not just the obvious Christian & Rhino for tag champs and MCMG & LAX back to jobbing to the Rock'n'rave...

Mine would be my most fued between HHH/Edge on Smackdown. I'll try to remember it the best I can as it has been awhile. HHH and Edge hadn't been getting along but it was nothing major until Edge punched Stephanie in the face. This leads to HHH being angry (obviously) so they continue to fued. This leads to a match at No Mercy between the two, which HHH wins. Soon after, Edge continues hunting HHH and eventually enlist The Undertaker to help him. Taker beats HHH at Survivor Series after Edge interferes. A week or so later on Smackdown HHH & Shane convince Stephanie she should leave because it isn't safe. Shane walks her out and when she is gone, Shane is attacked and thrown through a car window by Edge. Stephanie is then kidnapped but released the next week. Edge says that now HHH knows how dangerous he is. Around Armageddon HHH faces CM Punk in an IC Title match, which Edge cost him. They have a three way match at the PPV, which neither HHH or Edge wants at this point. CM Punk comes out on top and the two are set to face at Royal Rumble. The fued builds and right before the Rumble, Edge, Taker & and a newly heel Rhino tie HHH up and demolish Shane in front of him. Then we see that they have Steph again. Finally, HHH gets Edge at the Rumble in a last man standing match. After HHH wins, Steph and Shane celebrate in the ring with him.
I gotta admit, the ending is pretty funny. It seems like an awfully long way just to pull a joke, but darn it, that would be a great Wrestlemania moment :p
Yeah I always thought it was kind of a stretch to take months of abuse for a joke, but imagining me and dX laughing and crotch chopping at Wrestle Mania while the old innocent Stephanie looks on from the alter (still in her dress) absolutely stunned is simply classic. Andre vs Hogan be damned.

My favorite storyline by far was one I wrote out myself, and it was a doozy.... Around the end of April Stevie Richards was booked for a match for ECW on Sci Fi. This match took place in Los Angeles, California. So Stevie makes his entrance, runs past the ring, and heads right out the other side of the arena. He makes his way through the exit and the cameras follow him as he sprints down the road, and out of shot of the camera. The announcers or nobody makes mention of Stevie Richards, until.... One Night Stand in New York City rolls around in the middle of June, and Chris Jericho sets out an open challenge, and who should answer the call, but none other than a very winded and dirty looking Stevie Richards. He gets on the mic and tells the fans that he was so looking forward to One Night Stand that he took off on a dead sprint from California to New York just to get a head start on everybody. Thing is, America is bigger than he planned, and he just arrived as he heard the open challenge. One thing leads to another, fans go nuts......Stevie loses in 9 seconds to the Walls of Jericho....The end.

I can't compete with that, exactly, but my favourite one I ran featured Funaki in a fairly key role, so how's that for utilisation of talent? It was about a three or four month storyline, featuring Mr. Kennedy, my user character, Funaki, and two divas (I want to say Stacy and Candice, so I will, but Candice in particular wouldn't be my choice nowadays.) The basic concept is that my character strikes up a friendship with Stacy, who's feuding with Candice. After I help her out a few times, a match is booked with the two of us against Candice/Kennedy, who joins up for never-explicitly-stated reasons... After the match, which sees Stacy injured, Kennedy starts paying her attention, which drives me a bit nuts as he's much more confident etc. than I am, and you can see Stacy falling for him as he helps her rehab, and I'm stuck in the best friend role. Funaki, poor guy, is everyone's friend as he has to sit through me whining about this, and Stacy's lovestruck whitterings. And if he makes a few pithy Japanese comments (I remember cracking up as I imagined some of the stuff he came out with) who's to blame him? Eventually, Stacy and Kennedy begin dating seriously, and I try and move on. Candice starts taking an interest, and says she feels bad about Stacy's injury, it's made her turn over a new leaf etc. Kennedy is still a **** in the ring, but sweetness itself outside, so keeps Stacy in love with him. Fast forward a few weeks, and Stacy's all excited about her big night with KK, only next week he won't return her calls, ignores her at the arena etc. Candice, meanwhile, is benefiting from having me around to defend her, meaning she can upset the other Divas as much as she likes - I have to take the lumps from their boyfriends/protectors/whatever. Kennedy begins to hint that he's fallen hard for Stacy, and is thinking of proposing. His offhandedness is just him being shaken and nervous by the big feelings he has. Eventually, a few weeks before Wrestlemania, he calls her out to the ring and pops the question, and she says yes. Then Candice comes out and brings me with her. She interrupts and forces me to admit that I'm still crazy about Stacy - sketchy as to how/why, but it made sense - to which Kennedy responds by demolishing me. And then comes the revelation - Kennedy's been stringing Stacy along to please Candice, who's been using me as a whipping boy, all for their own amusement. Kennedy got what he wanted ("but it's much better with Candice"), Candice got me as a slave, and any chance of happiness for me and Stacy has seemingly been blown away as Stacy is devastated. The following week, Kennedy beats Funaki for fun - but it's actually a pretty tight match. The next week Stacy and I come out and challenge them to a match - me with my Kennedy-inflicted injuries and having been beaten up by all the big names for the last several weeks, Stacy in her first match in several months... Wrestlemania comes, and after a closely fought match we emerge triumphant - and have a Randy/Liz moment of sorts, although the romance afterwards would have its ups and downs as Stacy tried to prove herself worthy again after Kennedy treated her like trash, by taking on any challenge that comes her way, some of which are way out of her league... Kennedy and Candice, meanwhile, were my Edge and Lita. Really, I had a year's worth of storylines for the four (five, if you count Funaki, who was back in the ring on regular basis) of them. Shame I never got much beyond Mania...

Mine was fairly simple .. I made ECW a seperate brand and used only guys from ECW presently, as well as some old guys, and guys in WWE developmental. The brand was working toward crowning a champion, and of course CM Punk was the odds on favorite. We got to Barley Legal and our tournament finale, as Punk battled Matt Sydal for the title. Punk won in a thirty minute classic and became the new champion. Unfortunatley for Punk, he would be beaten down by a masked man as the show went off the air. For the next month this masked man kept baiting Punk until Punk finally caught him to unveil Raven. Raven says he is here to reclaim what was rightfully his, ECW. Sadly though, he is beyond his years in the ring so he has hired a group of misfits just like him to pick up the pieces and help bring back his baby. Thus, Necro Butcher, Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black, or the Age of the Fall as they're presently known, come out and absolutely lay to waste Punk. At Hardcore Heaven, Punk looks for revenge vs Jimmy Jacobs, and wins but not before once again being bloodied. Punk finally wisens up and brings in a couple of buddies: Colt Cabana and Ace Steel, the Second City Saints. These seven guys have some ruthless bouts that builds to a Wargames match at a November to Remember. Looking for a fourth guy, Punk recruits Tommy Dreamer to rekindle his feud with Raven and thus we have the match I built to. The match is an all out war, and when it finally looks like Punk's team is going to win, he turns around and cracks Tommy Dreamer with a chair allowing Raven to score the pinfall. A stunned crowd looks on as Punk grabs a mic and says that he isn't some poster child for the mainstream. No, what he is is a revolutionary with utter disgust for everyone who tries to be what they aren't, much like Tommy Dreamer. Punk thanks Raven for his guidance, and Raven says Punk is as close to a son as he'll ever have. This lead to Dreamer's pursuit of the ECW Title against CM Punk. I am not done with the feud yet, but Punk's reign is at about 16 months. Dreamer is now solidly the #1 face in the company, so with four more months until November to Remember I am trying to keep the feud fresh so I can have the biggest grudge match in ECW history a year to the day of the turn.
