CBN ~ SUNDAY SITDOWN Dan Jenkins Welcome MMA fans I am Dan Jenkins here for Sunday Sitdown. My guest today is rookie heavyweight fighter Jason Wooden. Jason Welcome to the show. Jason Wooden Thanks for having me dan. DJ Now Jason, you recently signed with GAMMA when many people thought you would follow many of the other new fighters to the newer promotions like ISL. What made you decide to go to GAMMA? JW I wanted to be part of a top promotion and fight the very best. Going to Japan was something that didnt interest me about Alpha 1 and ISL hasnt established itself as a stable company yet. DJ Have you signed a contract for your debut yet? JW I'm gonna be fighting Don Norman but were not sure when yet. GAMMA is working on getting a TV deal and would like me to fight on there but if that falls through I'll make my debut at GAMMA: Night of Champions in two weeks. DJ Tell us a little about your opponent. JW Norman is a decent opponent with a 6-9 record. Just a good fight for my debut and then we'll look to tackle bigger fish after that. DJ What are your goals in GAMMA? JW I think my goals are the same as everyones. I want to be the very best. I want to be a GAMMA world champion. I feel if you dont compete to be the best then why compete at all. DJ Hakan Fezzik is on top of the sport right now. Would you want to fight him at some point in your career? JW of course. He's a legend and I'd like to have the chance to give him his first loss. With him being in Alpha 1 though makes it hard to get a fight between us however. DJ Jason thanks for your time and good luck on your debut. JW Thank you.
