Brak
The only thing the booking team's ever helped me on is deciding which midcarders to keep pushing and which to leave as midcarders their whole run. Sometimes for booking strategy it will tell you "Wrestler X is an up and coming talent and should be getting big wins in matches against popular wrestlers" or something along those lines and others will have things about being solid midcarders and using them to job to up and coming talent. 1PWfan
The main advantage of a booking team is in giving you an idea of where people are, push-wise, and advising you who's an up-and-comer and who's a gatekeeper. I always use one, as it's useful to have a second opinion on who's worth pushing, but they're not strictly necessary.
