You know the type. The wrestlers who don't get a move in all match, don't have gimmick, last all of about 2 minutes and no one even remembers what their name was. I know you can already have jobbers (enhancement talent), but I found it annoying that whenever I introduced monsters, if it was a heel I'd have him beat "face" enhancement talents. But say a couple months later when I introduce a "face" monster, all my enhancement talents are faces from their previous jobbings and I kinda wished they'd just be heel without me needing to turn them. I, for one, love booking these squash matches to introduce new guys, so these matches occur fairly regularly on my shows. I'm gussing this may have been resolved already, as people can be brought up from development camps for one match and then sent back down again, as long as their affiliation can be altered each time they're brought up with no penalties.

yep. jgriff hit it on the head. You hire a couple full time (Your SD Jones, Iron Mike Sharp types) and then hire guys on short term PPAs. I can't wait to book me some B shows! ... ok, that sounds a little sad... but its true!

I like his idea, and lets use another example just to clarify the need for it... Lets say I hire a new wrestler, and I want to try him out in different roles in dark matches to see where he fits best. I want to be able to use him as a babyface in one match, and a heel on another match.

well assuming that you debut him in the role you want him in, then if it doesn't work you just have him turn next show I can't really see him losing any popularity with the fans.

Jobbers are your local indy stars that the local crowd might recognise. In the UK you can put money on Robbie Brookside jobbing out to someone in the Dark Matches. I don't see the need to have a whole seperate rank and creation for them. Just get yourself some 'No Named Local' and job him out as you see fit, if he impresses sign him and train him up.
well assuming that you debut him in the role you want him in, then if it doesn't work you just have him turn next show I can't really see him losing any popularity with the fans.
yes, but he isn't over, so any gimmick changes, turns suffer. Esp if you turn him and change his gimmick repeatedly in a short period of time.

I understand, but if you debut a worker as a face, then turn him heel next show I don't think you get penalized. So as I said, you can debut him in the desired role (face or heel) and then flip him if it doesn't work-out without penalty.
Wouldn't it be quite simple to just hire two jobbers, have one as a face and one as a heel? Or am I missing something?
I've been wondering the same thing... That guy that is an "Opener", he's a jobber. NO one know's who he is. I don't know if I'm missing something or not... But I've been thinking this same thing.. Why not just hire you a couple of jobber's for that purpose? You might end up with him starting to get over, and might want to move him on up sometimes, but you just go and hire another if that happens (nice surprise). Anyone that bassically is unknown, is an "Unknown" jobber (or can be). If they don't have much popularity, that's what determines if they are known or not. I might be just missunderstanding this, but it sounds like your asking for something that's bassically in the game anyways.

I'd use term "enhancement talent" over "Opener" in DJ's post, but the point stands. Hire two face enhancement talents and two heel enhancement talents, pay 'em a hundred or a hundred and fifty dollars, and let them get their brains beat in. If you don't break in a new monster for a couple of months and they get upset about appearance time, fire them, and hire new ones. Piece of cake. And, having two enhancement talents for each disposition gives you four squash mashes to get over before you have to move the talent on to facing the "real" roster (even if it's just the openers).
