NickC13573
TNA 101 "Six Points of IMPACT: TNA vs WWE" By Talon "Damien Reign" Thorne Sorry guys about being so late this week but I am at a Teacher's Conference as a representative of my school. I haven't had alot of time to type anything but I will get something out for this week. First things first: Six Point of IMPACT!: WWE vs TNA 1) TNA has better wrestling than WWE Maybe TNA doesn't have as much on their show but they have more action than WWE. WWE wrestling sees alot of restholds and headlocks which I am not fan of. TNA eliminates that for a more fast paced style of wrestling. 2) WWE has better booking than TNA My biggest gripe with TNA is their lackluster booking. From not enough wrestling to unclean finishes to over the top matches. WWE may not have as good of wrestling as TNA but their booking makes up for it. 3) TNA has better storyline substance and progression than WWE Simple, WWE has little or no storylines. They have characters and that is it. TNA is filled with storylines. 4) WWE has better production than TNA From the graphics to commercial placement to camera angles. WWE has better stages as well. My favorite part about WWE. Who doesn't love the new HD set as well. 5) TNA has more variety than WWE In WWE you have one style and that is it, big man style. TNA has high flying wrestling, and big man style they actually have a tag team division and a light weight division. They have a legit womens division. There storylines are serious and comedic and they have a variety of characters for all different types of fans. 6) WWE has better marketing than TNA The one thing that always stand out is WWE Marketing. WWE knows how to market their shows, wrestlers and concepts as really important. If TNA had the marketing capabilities as WWE, they would have higher ratings. Notes: -I never got to watch TNA iMPACT since I got back too late last night however, my wife has TiVo'd it plus I read the results online and looked up the show on TNA Wrestling.com -Deuce's Wild Tournament will be interesting none the less. I like how TNA is focusing more on the tag team ranks. Guys like Sting, Booker T, Kip James and Matt Morgan are looking to capture the tag team titles. While the tournament seems complicated, it isn't too bad. -Awesome Kong is one of the "Egotistical 8" in the Deuce's Wild Tournament. As long as she doesn't win the titles, her involvement is excellent. TNA is trying to show that the ladies can compete with the men. That is the case for Gail Kim (vs the X Division), ODB and Awesome Kong only. -I like seeing TNA have Hector Guerrero join LAX because a mouthpiece is what the group has needed. LAX got back their edge and they could very well walk out of Sacrifice as Tag Team Champion, or so I hope. -AJ Styles and Super Eric are an interesting tag team but only because of AJ. Eric Young is better than Super Eric in my opinion. What will Kaz have to say about this? The tag team tournament has many teams who could win the tourny. my favorites are LAX, Christian Cage and Rhino, or AJ Styles and Super Eric.Plus there's Team 3D and the egotistical 8 as well. -TNA's newest concept match: the TerrorDome. Interesting structure as it is a mix between Six Sides of Steel and Ultimate X. One of the biggest questions I received was wouldn't it be cool if TNA combined Six Sides of Steel and Ultimate X, he is your combination. You must climb up the sides of the dome and escape through the hole in the ceiling, hmmm. The match sounds fun but who is going to be in it. Cornette created this match to pay some wrestlers back for annoying him but guys like Super Eric, Matt Morgan, AJ Styles and others aren't even in this match. I guarantee it will be filled with X Division stars which isn't the intent of the match in the least. -So at Sacrifice we have the 3-Way World Championship Match, the Makeover Battle Royal, the seven Deuce's Wild Tournament Matches and the TerrorDome Match. I think the PPV will be rushed when normally you only feature 7 or 8 matches on PPV. -Tomko is suspended because he missed and autograph session when instead he attended a Japanese show. Call it what you want but I will say, he deserved it. -The now blonde Petey Williams was injured at the hands of Jimmy Rave on iMPACT. He broke his orbital bone and will need surgery to get it fixed. Petey just won the X Division Championship so now he might have to relinquish it. If TNA does it right, he won't have to because he will only need 4 weeks off after Sacrifice to recover. -Both Daisy Haze and Cheerleader Melissa debuted for TNA this week and from what I hear, they both did good. I like both girls but don't want TNA to drop the Raisha Saeed character. Daisy Haze would be a good addition to the Knockouts Ranks as well. Now if they could focus on the X Division. -Next week I will announce the two debaters for the next war of the words debate over TNA Creative. I will also put down the bulltetpoints for what they need to debate as well as the rules. See ya later!

The same curved cage with the hole in the top I've seen already on a TV taping of AAA a few months ago. The same curved cage with the hole in the top I've seen already on a TV taping of AAA a few months ago. Two four men teams in the cage and the first team all to escape wins,[/QUOTE] Doesn't mean it's still not a new concept to the company or much of its audience. Or that it's not still quite new to the industry in general even if TNA aren't the originators. Don't know if either point's actually true. But I seem to remember hearing a while back that the WWF/E originally got the ideas for either/both the Royal Rumble and Survivor Series from one of the western territories they took over back in the national expansion days. They got the ladder match they've grown to love in recent years from Stampede back in the late 70's. They even have some of the footage from one of those early Stampede ladder matches on their History of the Ladder Match DVD. Outside just the E, I'm pretty sure I remember Hogan going through World Class' old Triple Tower of Terror in mid 90's WCW. Even the basic tag team match is said to have originated in Australia. In the many years I've been a fan, I've seen a good many new concepts in matches. But how many of them were TRULY original vs just new to me at the time, I couldn't swear to. But even the ones that weren't seemed like they were when I had no reason to know otherwise. That's the important part here. As long as it makes an impression on the average fan who may not have access to the AAA stuff you do, that's what counts. Whether it truly is original or not is geekbait. Hogan and Savage vs. The Alliance To End Hulkamania(Dungeon + Flair/Anderson) TerrorDome was done in WCW as well. Looong ago. Complete with the little hole.
