Probably too late for the 2008 version but maybe for future ones. When a wrestler does a major gimmick overhaul or changes his name unless on TV globally or nationally (e.g. Johnny Nitro to John Morrison would be exempt from this due to the number of people that could see it), they should drop popularity slightly as people outside that region wont be able to follow them as closely to realise it's the same guy. Some examples, When Puma changed to TJ Perkins I know a lot of people didn't realise he was the same guy, same with ICE XVII to Dragon Aisu, for the casual indy fan they would have no way of knowing unless they check EVERY show report. However if they went back to thier previous names they should have the option to go back to thier previous popularity or slightly lower than that due to so much time passing since the gimmick was used.
