Before everyone jumps in trashing my question... I understand most people probably love the depth of the game and I must say, the depth is amazing. However, I just want an "easy mode" where I can just book matches and interviews the old way like in EWR 4.2. You know, just say this guy is fueding that guy and book the way I want to. Is that possible with this game? I do own the game, BTW. Still looking for a good 1996-1998 era mod with pics, belts, etc... My issue so far has been the amount of time it takes me to book just a single card properly to where the game won't tell me "you didn't have enough this, that, you suck, etc...etc..." Why can't I be the judge of what I want on my card? If I were a hardcore wrestling simmer then I'd probably enjoy that. Like, I'm a big time OOTP fan and I love the small things like that in that game because I'm a big time baseball simmer. When it comes to wrestling I just kinda want to make my own dream cards, book the matches and run them. Not really interested in pleasing fictional fans or anything. Or being told I don't have enough storylines or I'm running them wrong etc... So, are there any settings in this game where I can just be the booker and not concern myself with storylines etc...? Any help is much appreciated.

Or, another question... can I just book my card and have a lead writer or someone take care of the angles/storylines? If not... let me just say, something like what I'm asking for would definitely put me in the "buy" column for a future release of the game. If a wrestling game existed to where I could just book matches and have a lead writer or someone take care of the storylines etc... then I'd be in heaven. Is this possible? If not, any chance it'd be added to the game in the future?

So if all you want to do is just book matches and not deal with storylines or angles, then yes you can certainly do that with both 07 and the upcoming 08

Any help is much appreciated.[/QUOTE] If you go into the options menu once you are in your game, there is a section there called "Strict Storylines" - if you turn that OFF, then you don't need to use storylines, no matter what promotion you play as. So that is easily sorted. As far as the time that you must put into angles / matches - find out the match ratio % in the promotions product. Then if you take the total time of your show in minutes (including the dark time if you use that) and figure out the amount of time that you are therefore supposed to use as matches. This then gives the figure to aim for. You have a 10% leeway in either direction - eg if you have an 80% match ratio and a 2 hour show (total 140 mins inc dark time) - the expected total match time is 112mins (80% of 140) but you can run anything from 98mins (70% of 140) to 126mins (90% of 140) of matches. So therefore you can have anything from 14 to 42 mins of angles. If you don't like the current ratio of matches - then change it! Angles - if the angle is 1-4mins long, it does not affect the rating of the show or the momentum/overness of the wrestlers involved. If it is 5mins long, then it still doesn't affect the show rating, but now does affect the momentum and overness of the participants. Any angle of 6 or more mins long affects everything. Therefore - if you are using your top stars (who will get good angle ratings (because they have high overness)) then do long angles. For lesser wrestlers do shorter ones. Going back to my example above - if you are then going to do 30mins of angles in the show - you only need 5*6min angles or even 3 10min angles. Interviews etc are all usually under "Hype" angles, plus possibly "Challenge" "Decision" etc. - just filter the angles for the type you want. Now that doesn't need much work does it? Your best bet would be to run with traditional as key feature with pretty much everything else at none other than realism. And if you want more technical matches, then use the "Pure" setting as well.
