Guest Weden
Can we be expecting one for TEW '05, as well as any other games?
Danny
I don't have specifics, but I created a whole new media section on the site, so I would be surprised if this is the only trailer we come out with.

jksander
Evil evil evil evil! Now I know I want this game now! As for the box that is shown ... is Grey Dog actually planning to try and market this one to bigger ponds offline, like Wal-Mart and BestBuy? I think there's a market. Danny
The box is just a design graphic. At this time the game is not being marketed to a retail publisher.
jksander
That's a shame. I keep trying to bring new people onto these forums, though, to help spread the word about how great text-based games can be ... maybe by the time TCB II comes around the games will be popular enough to be sold online and in stores. btmlltt
The overhead costs would make it impractical to even try hitting that market, imo.
jksander
Well, you could still sell online where there's a stronger profit margin, but it would seem that paying bandwidth costs and paying for burned CDs of the game would about even out. The game could sell at $34.95 in stores (regular price) and perhaps at a slight discount online ($27.95 or something like that). Most people would buy the game online as we're used to, but there could be perks to buying the full game in stores ... perhaps by including full featured manuals for the games. But i'm not a marketing guy, so I may be wrong about how this would work. Still, it would definitely bring the game bigger visability if it was available in stores (as the internet sales have mostly had to be through word of mouth -- I have never seen a .400 or GDS advertisement). Druez
Games like Football Manager make about 10 bucks profit per one sold in the store. It retails for what 45 or 50 bucks?
GeoWar
Try EBAY --- just BUY NOW price it ---- the design would draw a lot of looks ...
