sabataged
Im not gaining as much success from remi's product idea as 07. Back in 07 you could use nobody's and pull out B shows like it was no big deal. This years seems a little bit harder. Anyone else notice this?
James Casey
It's harder to get really good ratings out of the game this time, I believe - various factors play against you, such as the weighting of the area you hold your show and so on. Over time, I would imagine that as you play more things will settle down a little more, but don't forget that especially with smaller promotions, it's hard to get good scores - especially if you don't have chemistry benefitting you. Using a roster consisting of many of the same people and I had to fight for my C- in the test. Guess I'll have to work a little harder to bring in some more over/talented people. My fault for getting ****y and thinking I can run an indie brawling fed without signing Bulldozer Brandon Smith.
Bucky Sinister
Heh. Yeah, it seems my card ratings have gone down, while the AI's have gone up! Looks like I've got a learning curve to climb again.

I'm bigger than them, and my guys are more over with comparable talent... hurt my pride it did.
TrekkieMonsta
The main difference I found was between two PGHW games i've run, one in 07 and one in 08. In both I had Chojiro Kitoaji defeating Cameron Vessey, same match times, same notes everything. Neither had bad chemistry notes, but in 07 it netted a beautiful B+, whereas in 08 it nabbed a mere C-. Getting good matches is definitely harder now. And on the point of AI being better, SAISHO is running regular B cards now haha. And AI in general seem to be nabbing A* matches like it's nothing...evil! haha. Michael Wayne
tell me about it. NOTBPW used to be easy as pie to book. You could get awesome matches easily. Now they're like :bangs head:

The AI-booked NOTBPW has had at least one A* match on every card its put on through January, and hasn't had a card rate lower than a B, in my current game. alden
Last year i could book jack bruce against any main eventer and pretty much get a matches. This year i am getting b+ and even a few b's. I think chemistry has alot more to do with it this year. importance and location also have alot more now. I think the days of easy booking are now over ;)
Michael Wayne
funny because there were still a good number of people who struggled with it in 07.
BrokenCycle
On the subject of improved AI, I love it. Playing the demo, it actually seemed like the big companies tried their hardest to put on a good show. Never got that feeling while playing 07. alden
ok well "easy" might have been the wrong term. Easy for stuff like se feds where if you put to A* people in a match you are going to get a good match pretty much no matter what.

The game was made so it's a bit harder to pull out highly rated matches and cards, to add to the game's relative difficulty. You can still do it, but you have to work toward it now. That product from 07 is an excellent jumping point (you can tweak different aspects of it to give you any kind of promotion you want), but it's no longer a free ride. Still easy to do if you focus your booking. Storylines and out-of-ring happenings can really boost your shows this time, for example. Think about how huge run-ins counting for storyline progression is....
