Sensai of Mattitude
Just opened the notepad for the first time and noticed how it's conveniantly split into three sections. Something that I always found was that I once my notepad began to build up I struggled to keep it organised, so I love it. Any other small tidbits that people have noticed? Sudo_Nym
Actually, I liked the old notepad. I usually put just one thing in there, and liked being able to see it all without scrolling. However, the new organization is also nice, so I suppose the whole thing is a wash. I like being able to import workers from other game areas. I hated having to decide between turning Game Area restrictions on and off, as weird as that sounds.
Michael Wayne
I rarely used the notepad in 07 as it was. This one looks nice. But I only ever used it for reminders of gimmick changes, turns, or postive chemistry notes. And with chemistry now stored, it's a whole heck of a lot of use for it for me. BrokenCycle
It would have been pretty cool if you could adjust the size of certain sections of the notepad. For example, I've always used the notepad to write down what I'm going to do on a show, and it's easy to miss stuff that gets cut off. It was a great idea, though. For example, AI chemistry. There is no note given when workers show chemistry in other promotions. However, if you watch how the AI books, you can get an idea of who works well with whom. I don't want to give any spoilers so I'll leave it at that. That's the primary thing I use the notepad for in 08.
FINisher
Funny .. TEW08 is the only game ever where someone would make a topic just for the praise of the notepad that the game has in itself :D But yeah, it's nice, but I still prefer a separate notepad at the side of TEW.. I use notepad only for all the chemistry notes and gimmicks getting stale :)
Outlaw
Actually, I hate this new notepad. Sure, it's organized into three sections, but I used to do that anyway with lines of ======= or ---------- or whatever. My problem with it is the space cap. Even if I just put the matches I had in one show, I also tend to jot down what the result was (since you don't get the specific match breakdowns other than right after running a show; for example, you have a four way match, your champ wins, but the results don't tell you who he pinned, just who else was in the match) and where I want it to go for the next show (potential feuds, etc.). Now I can't even do that without running out of space, and I have to go back to using an external notepad for that. It's not like it's a lot, but it's just too much for the game to fit, which can be pretty frustrating for me. I'm probably in the minority on this one, but I just thought I'd toss it out there. LoganRodzen
I've used the notepad about two times in the past TEW games. I'm always talking to a buddy on AIM about my TEW game, so I rarely need to write it anywhere else. :D
D-Lyrium
I usually only use the notepad to save things I wanted to remember when I next played the game. I hadn't even opened the notepad in '08 to notice the changes :o Although I probably shouldn't admit that... there aren't any bugs in it, right? :D
