rajde
I was wondering if anybody knows any good ways to improve mic skills. I've been trying to improve Remmy Skye, Mainstream Hernandez, and Champagne Lovers mic skills but it is having no effect. Any ideas?
paphos
I give them a good mouthpiece and then put them in angles where the have to use their mic skills...I see some improvement as the worker i did that to went from a 50% to a 62% in 7 months...But at first those angles suck so be carefull
Grudge
I often cheat on this and spam the hell outta one minute interviews during dark time paring the trainie with a talented counter-part Edit: apparently this exploit has been fixed to some degree. I don't think workers improve from one minute segments anymore.
Remianen
[QUOTE=Grudge;437362]I often cheat on this and spam the hell outta one minute interviews during dark time paring the trainie with a talented counter-part Edit: apparently this exploit has been fixed to some degree. Six minutes or more and it'll affect your show rating. So, use your cheat but just do four 5 minute segments in dark time.
Grudge
ok I could be totally nutz here but from what I gather my workers don't gain anything from 5min segs anymore, now the threshold appears to be 6mins. Atleast in my limited testing.
LFC_chris
Is it 5 minutes to improve their skills in ANY angle? For example if I stage a 3 minute beat-down will that not improve their overness or momentum? Would it have to be 5 mins?
Grudge
until someone proves me wrong I'm under the belief that a segment has to be at least 6mins to improve a worker. I've tried many many times to produce results with 5mins to no success.
soulztnrv1
You are probably correct. That;s just too easy the other way.
bshankly
is it 6 mins to go towards the show rating? never heard that or realised it, is that true?
Grudge
as of 08 nothing under a six minute segment will grant any ratings changes or changes to popularity. I can't say for sure about show ratings as I haven't actually tested it, but seing as how that's how 07 worked I think it's safe to say that nothing under six minutes would be counted towards it in 08 either. And I would only assume the same about momentum but again I'm not sure.
Gigas
so whats the point of even running smaller angles? to bring the crowds mood up or down?
Grudge
Well they still help/hurt storylines and may very well do something for momentum.
Payne
6 minute angles? Man, can you imagine a 6 minute in ring promo from Randy Orton? I'd go to sleep.

You had to be an Orton fan after that Reign of Terror (Cena). :p

LFC_chris
The problem is quite a few angles in the database have a maximum time of 5 minutes, so basically they are of little use then if they don't affect the show's rating or worker's skills. I'd like to see it aletered so that shorter angles could have a limited effect on the shows rating - like for example a 3 minute beat down after a match could have a small effect on the show rating whilst a full-on 8 minute promo would obviously have a bigger effect. Having said that I suppose short angles can still raise/lower the fans mood so they will have an in-direct effect on the overall show's rating.
