Clarity Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 What started as a simple job of changing it from bright blue to another colour kinda blossomed into reskinning the website completely. At the moment im pondering if i should leave the main stories outline a little brighter. I find it brings the eye there. And i know i need to add something to the picture box when there is no news story. *edit* im also thinking of changing the name of 'end of year awards' to 'yearly awards'. The text and titles for the news articles are generated by the game and can't be changed, which is a shame as it makes having white backgrounds impossible as the text turns invisible. Due to the mammoth nature of editing every screen and every button, it looks like an entire game skinpack is a call order. I may release my skin's internet section seperately for now, maybe we could all put a pack together of different internet skins? I like the new, streamlined look. Also, I prefer the first one you've got up there, with the black-grey gradient. My two cents... or pence... or... what's the dollar conversion now...? My one and one fifth of a penny. Edit-The blank box. I never really thought of that as a problem, I guess if your using a small database then it could have empty news stories but my game always finds enough generic Web Victories and such to fill in the news spaces after the first day. crayon Posted June 14, 2008 Share Posted June 14, 2008 Personally, I'd go for a different font for the website logo. Not crazy flashy, but just something to make it pop a little. Right now it looks too much like the rest of the text. And given how much text you get on the main it creates a bit of a wall (especially since it's also the same colors).
