XxFutureLegend112xX
Myself i used to be totally against him. But after taking the time to watch some of his fights i have to admit the man has talent particurly in his fists. His major downfall is he isnt a rounded athelte. But with Bas training him he can only get better and better. At this point though Kimbo is the most over hyped man in MMA. But i belive if he is built slowly and given time to devolpoe with rutten's training he will have a decent career, Not great though as he is too old. He's a big menacing figure with power behind his punches, however, I think that he's being pushed out onto the public too much. Trying to be built up as a "special attraction" when in all honesty I don't see him having much of a shelf life. He's already older than normal (coming into the sport late) and in a sport where even a great former MMA fighter like Ken Shamrock can end up getting his butt kicked in the first round... Kimbo doesn't really have much chance to "stay on top". It's a young man's sport. If you saw his first fight... He was a powerhouse no argument there but a bruiser like him really doesn't have a chance to truly go toe to toe in an epic bout. He'll tire out quickly (as seen in the match). So, if you put him in a matchup with a guy who can work him over enough and make the fight last... Then he'll probably end up slowing down, tiring out and making him open to get knocked around. All in all, Big powerhouse of a guy... Menacing... and a larger than life figure (a la Mr. T). However, purely from an MMA stand point... He probably won't do much more than win some fights here and there and then falter in the big time matches (if he's given one... They may just dangle him around like a "side show" and book him in matchups that are not all that challenging... Just to give people something to ooo and aahhh about)
chris caulfield
He is so overrated it is unbelievable. All he has is his striking and you find someone with a decent chin and a decent ground game and they will take him down and sub him in the first round. He hasn't fout anyone with any real talent and if he did would be completely destroyed which is why he is fighting cans.

Topping it off is that despite being trained by Bas, he's already getting up there in years for the sport. How much better can he get?

GDE71
I sure as hell wouldn't want to piss him off. However, I'm not a well-trained, well-conditioned MMA practitioner either. He will probably get a couple more fights he should win and then get destroyed. However, he will still be a decent draw and will fight a few more times before getting destroyed again. Then that will be the end of him on MMA cards.
syndicate
he is the most overrated athlete in the history of sports for not really doing anything... gary shaw (the promoter of elite xc) has hyped him up even more so then what he was on the internet claiming that kimbo is the "mike tyson" of mma of course this is not kimbos fault he is making money and doing what anybody would do in his shoes so i wont fault him for that...
I agree with all of this. The guy is a complete clown and I look forward to watching him get totally destroyed in the very near future.
how is he a clown? he is making thousands of dollars thanks to gary shaw who has hyped him up so much... it's not really his fault it's the promoters fault for his hype kimbo is really a nice guy and a class act, but that does not make for a talented mma fighter, but plenty of other guys in the sport are as bad or even worse then kimbo is at mma and continue to do mma... the only dif is kimbo gets far more hype then anybody and it's not right, but you can not blame kimbo for it since he is making LOTS of money i expect him to lose his next match to bret rogers and i look forward to it since some casual fans think he could beat fedor or nog and they just need a reality check on kimbo...
Quoted for truth. Topping it off is that despite being trained by Bas, he's already getting up there in years for the sport. How much better can he get?
idk if his age is that much of a issue guys like randy couture started mma around the same age as kimbo did, but randy had plenty of wrestling credentials unlike kimbo it's more so that he just not that skilled, but if you think about it his ground game is that of a man who has been in about 3 mma fights... i do see him getting a tad bit better, but nothing to the point of him being ranked in the top 50 heavyweights
I sure as hell wouldn't want to piss him off. masterded
I like him, but not for MMA. His old videos are just fun to watch. A bunch of punks who think they can fight getting the **** knocked out of them is always funny.

Payne
He should be a straight boxer. Great punches, no wrestling/Jiu Jitsu skills. Scary as **** though. I wouldn't mess with him.

Tyler Gadzinski
Have you seen Kimbo.. him and Goldberg did a workout together and Kimbo whooped his ass. Kimbo Slice is ripped as a mother and really doesn't do too much martial arts stuff. He does more stand up fighting so I think he could make it as a boxer.. Although he might not have the conditioning due to his fights never going longer than the first round usually.
trypio
He's entertaining, so I like him. I like guys that talk a lot of smack, like Ortiz and Abbot. :D No matter how bad they really are.

I don't remember who his opponent was but his knockout was unbelievable. He (the opponent) is punched standing knocking him out and causing is arms to lock up straight out angled up and to the right. He (Tank) hits the guy again when he is down (his arms still stuck) causing his lags to go up and stick. So we have an out could guy with his arms and legs stuck-up and out cold on his back. In fact if anyone can find the video of this on youtube I would be ever so grateful (haven't seen it in a long time and it was on VHS when I did)
Tyler Gadzinski
I don't know who or where the full video is but you can see that knockout at just before the 2:30 mark in this one.. alden
I think kimbo has a place with guys like butterbean. pure "gimmick" acts. yah the guy can fight......but mma is not a street fight. MMA fighters take alot of pride in beging more then just some street thug. I hate to say it but that is what Kimbo is.....a thug who beat up people in his back yard and posted it on youtube. You put him in the ring with a gracie or a shamrock and he would get his ass handed to him.
