Financial Troubles...

What do I need to do to not lose money? Or, at least, not hemorrhage as badly as I am... As you can see, I'm losing $150,000 a month... That's terrible... Currently, I'm a self-created cult sized promotion, I have a weekly live TV show, and a monthly PPV. All of my workers are on PPA contracts, and many make me pay their travel expenses. I think I should be receiving TV and PPV revenue, but I'm not. I'm supposed to get 20% of my TV show's profits and pay 80% of the costs. Is there anything obviously wrong here?

Seems like you're running 5 shows per month. Hmm.. Let's see: 177 + 36 + 3 = 216k (sponsor + merchandise + misc) 107 + 75 + 11 = 193k (show cost + marketing + merchandise) Let's say it's about +20k/month and we don't touch this. It leaves 320k for (169 + 192 + 140) = -180k - show costs are too high - P.P.A. is really hurting you - Travel costs hurt, but cutting them wouldn't do it I see 3 options: * Bi-weekly shows (keeping the monthly event) * Signing written contracts * Cutting (or stop using for some time) costy wrestlers or those with travel expenses and replace them with young local rookies if neccessary If you could provide me a roster including salary and extras I could give you suggestions. (Income/Expenditure ratio: 540 / 693 = .779 It's not impossible, but you'll have to make some really important changes)
How recent? I got the one that came out right after the demo... I'll post my roster in a while, too, BTW...
There's been 3 more since then, think it was the 2nd one that fixed the TV/PPV revenue not being shown correctly. Check the tech help forum.

Another thing, which im sure you already know is you dont need to have blockbuster cards every show. One or two good heat matches should draw enough fans to get the sell out. When you do have those guys booked make sure you drag them out and not just use them in the match, have them do interviews and such to take up time, if they do 20-30 mins of interviews while they are there (Not each person obviously) that could save you 2-3 matches worth of other workers fees. Im losing a fair amount of money myself though so maybe my advice isnt the best (Even though im only losing 20-40 thousand a month compared to 150 thousand!)

The patch that fixed it was patch 1.1 in the tech forums, but my saved game with USPW still didn't give me the revenues. I started another game and I am now finally recieving ppv and tv revenues, sadly i was playing as TCW and not USPW. When I had them I was still losing money but didn't have a share of my ppv contracts either. All I can say is book good shows and cross your fingers to get to national before you run outta money.

At Local, the main challenge is getting good enough ratings out of your crappy workers. At Small, the main challenge is beating other companies in battles to get to Regional. At Regional, the main challenge is getting on TV to give yourself enough exposure to get to Cult. At Cult, the main challenge is staying in business :p

My guess is running weekly shows with a bunch of guys under PPA deals is what's killing you. Of course, you can't sign written deals as a cult fed. My suggestion is only using several workers per show. If you need to bring in one of your more costly workers for a TV taping, use them to your full advantage (don't just have them wrestle, have them cut a promo, do some angles, etc).

Surely if he's costing you a lot, he's going to be a good worker, so you'd want him in the ring for the better segment ratings? Unless of course you're implying that because he's not wrestling, you don't have to pay him. Which is just incorrect :p
