Dan Theman
Does anybody here have NBA Live 2005 for the PC? If so, has anybody uncovered the proper slider settings so that fairly realistic gameplay can be achieved? Blocks - ridiculously high amount Steals - ridiculously high amount Assists - too few Game value - with default slider values, about $4.
Pacersfan46
All I know is on Xbox you need to turn down *user blocks/steals* a whole LOT! Try to find a forum for an NBA Live mod community. I'm sure someone there will have a good idea. Nah, it's worth more than that for the dunk contest. :D
Dan Theman
Yeah, I asked over there ... and threw in a "this is a great game!" comment in a thread talking about the upcoming release of TPB ;) edit: I also was reminded that sports sim fans are a bit different from console gamers ;)
Gary Gorski
Thanks Dan - anyone else mention it over there or try it out? Got a link?
Dan Theman
Here you go, Gary - This is the thread . One negative response, but definitely some interest from the number of views and comments by the thread originator (I'm GabeandDad, by the way)

cody8200
Dan, turn active game blakcsd to 0. Turn steals to 0. Thats both on layup blocks and regular blocks. Slow the speed of the game down to about 43. That should help quite a bit. It did for me. Still too many but definetely not as many. Alsdo play at a level above normal...try 7-10 minute quarters. Dan Theman
Thanks for the tips, Cody. I'll give it a shot and hopefully the outcome will be a bit more bearable. BTW - if everyone could go to the link I posted above and give your impressions of the game, I think it will help to drum up some more members over here. MizzouRah
I pimped the game over at Operation Sports as well. :) http://forums.operationsports.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?p=1272075#post1272075 Todd
Guest cincyreds
I use to buy NBA LIVE every year. But each year the game has gotten worse and worse. Gameplay is not realistic anymore. This is why I have turned to sim text type games. Front Office Football Jump Shot Basketball are just a couple games I have played in the past. Glad to see TPB 05!!! Thank you Gary for such a awesome game.
cody8200
No doubt I love text sims but I love actually playing the game. Of course the perfect hybrid is the combination of the two.
