castorius
If I have a storyline setup with two workers And the match between them is not part of the storyline, do I still get the benefit of momentum and overness from the successful storyline? ie. Sgt.Slaughter in a Cobra Clutch Challenge Storyline with Hulk Hogan. The story consists of angles - Slaughter issuing a challenge, Hogan accepting, Slaughter attacking, Hogan looking for revenge. Let's say the storyline gets a A+ rating up to this far. But lets say the storyline does not finish off with a match between the two workers. So then I setup a match between the two workers anyways, but its not officially part of the storyline (not a parameter for the story to continue). Will I still get the benefits of the A+ Storyline that will help the rating of the match? (since the match involved the two same workers who were in the storyline) Or must the actual match itself be a parameter of the story?
castorius
The other condition I'm wondering about is: What if you have two workers in a storyline (use the Slaughter vs Hogan example) Does each individual worker in the storyline actually gain momentum and overness from the successful storyline? Or is this momentum and overness gain conditionally tied to the other worker(s) of the storyline? So if Slaughter and Hogan have a successful storyline together (A+), and then Slaughter decides to fight Curt Hennig, does Slaughter still have the boost in momentum and overness that he gained from the storyline? Or is it only if he fights Hogan? What if Slaughter's fight with Curt Hennig is part of the storyline? What if it is not part of the storyline? sabataged
Well I believe, not ceartin just what i think, a storyline will raise a person's momentum and overness. So regardless if the match is involved in the storyline or not it will still effect that person's momentum/overness.
Grudge
storylines are only progressed when two or more of the people in them are on the screen at the same time. Their primary function seems to be to add heat (ratings) to the segments those workers are in together, and of course putting a worker in a high rated segment will increase his overness and momentum. If you want the heat (ratings) bonus to be added to your blow off match then you'd best not end the storyline till afterward.
shipshirt
It depends on if it's an unchained storyline or a written one. If it's a written one, then it has to follow the steps in the storyline to get the heat. Only the segments that are listed as officially part of the story are going to contribute. If it's unchained, then any segment or match you have Slaughter and Hogan in are going to advance the story and benefit.
