Dochappy
I'm having problems when it comes to booking the Rip Chord Invitational tourney. after the show I keep getting the note you used s and so too much. How can I stop that from happening ? also when I try to do some simple interviews and hypes before matches the rating really stinks usually F+ can I change something in the product settings to help relive this ? and I've noticed I can't use cheap finishes at all without the crowd ****ting on it. any help will be appreciated
mad5226
Youre not really doing anything wrong as far as the using someone to much goes. Youre going to get that especially in the Invitational, unless you make it a point to only use people like Parker and Mean Jean more than once. As far as the cheap finish goes I think it's related to traditional. Taking it down to Medium may do the trick but im no product expert.

It's Realism that screws with cheap finishes.

James Casey
If this is the first show you're booking with MAW, you'll have to accept that your workers are going to stink up the ring in interviews and angles. Of the starting roster, Rip himself is about the only one who can get a decent rating. Cattley and Parker are okay for overness, but neither are great on the mic to start. A lot of people use talent trades to beef up MAW's young roster. Steve Flash, Ultimate Phoenix, almost anyone from CZCW... Don't be afraid to set up working agreements. SWF are about the only North American fed who'll knock you back. To be honest, build your main event around Parker and Cattley. I kept them both from day one in the game, and they are key to MAW's success. Get in Thomas Morgan as well - he's an immense talent who's good for the next several years. Another worker to keep an eye on is Marc Speed. Ditto Kashmir Singh, and the likes of Frankie Perez and Trent Shaffer. Cheap guys like Cal Sanders, Tempest Appelby and Raphael are worth considering as well. Future workers to watch out for include the Gauge twins, Davis Wayne Newton and Jay Chord - but they don't debut until 2008 I think. Be careful changing the product. MAW's setting are heavily skewed towards in-ring performance. I'd even advise setting your match percentage to 90% as then you can do pure wrestling shows, along with the odd promo by Rip to boost your ratings. My own experience suggests that MAW will thrive in 07 - and I spent most of my first year with DC Rayne as champ. I also signed up a lot of the young guys (Ben Williams, TJ Bailey, Mark Smart) when I really didn't have time to be bringing the young kids through if you're working a monthly schedule. However, keep an eye out for Casey Valentine - the kid's a keeper. You should mainly concentrate on getting in one or two of really good workers (Steve Flash, Fumihiro Ota, Black Eagle) who you can use to build your main worker's skills. Oh, and good luck with Stan Manna. The kid's Jeff Hardy - without the talent.
Dochappy
thanks for all the great tips and words of advice. One other question. what position would Rip Chord be best at ? I have him as road agent and working along with marv Earnest , but I can't use him for interview and other angles
James Casey
Colour commentator/Authority figure - you can manually choose him as a road agent for each match. It's a bit of a pig, but trust me - you get into the rhythm of it soon enough. I had no road agent for over two years in my game after Rip died, simply because my user character - an active wrestler - could do it better than anyone I could afford. Just make sure Rip is the first 'R' name in your roster - you don't want Ricky Douglas RAing your main events
FINisher
I took MAW to Global in TEW07, I used the 90 percent match ratio, never used angles. When I reached Global my main event consisted of Jimmy Cox, Art Reed, Gauge brothers, JD Morgan, Jay Chord etc.. Steven Parker, Mean Jean and Antonio were really skilled after about three years into the game, Parker had amazing stats and he stayed loyal to MAW, as did Antonio.. And yes: Marc Speed, Thomas Morgan, DWN, Frankie Perez, Kashmir Singh are really good talent considering the product of MAW. I suggest using tag matches etc, and really developing the skills of workers. Also keep the roster quite balanced; You don't want to build your promotion on the shoulders of just one wrestler just for TCW, SWF or other big promotions to take him away from you. :) Good luck, and patience :) the game with MAW was my best ever that I have played in TEW-series.
