Sick of straight converts

Im sick of downloading a mod only to find that its just been ran though the 08 converter I hereby want to make a pertition please dont release straight converts, by all means convert a mod and hype it whilst you work on converting it fully but dont just convert an 07 mod and release it anybody can do this themselves by going to bobinc and downloading anything from the 07 downloads section

Do you know how hard it is to make a mod? How about you make a mod for yourself and then get back to me.

Whilst I appreciate the time to upload it, it is very frustrating to see a thread, get excited about it, and then realise it is just a convert, identical to what I did on the day the trial was released.... And for Keon, Gaz has done a mod himself, which seems great, I am certainly enjoying it. (Cheers Gaz).

How about you make a mod for yourself and then get back to me.[/QUOTE] This makes no sense?? ___________________ I think the simplest way to do the conversion is to convert the mod you want to try and then strip out all of the gimmicks, storyline, angles and replace them with everything from the default/cornellverse mod. This way only workers and promotions will be missing/lacking some things while the gimmicks and all that will be using the new "format" so to speak. but again if that's what you are wanting me to put up on my site I may have to start saying no. I try to filter what I can (is minimal if anyone is wondering what I have held back) but I just simply don't have the time or energy to try every mod that is sent my way. Not that I am trying to squash any mod makers dreams of getting work onto my site (there goes my ego again, stop that :cool: ) I just don't want to have 200 mods up with 100 of them being straight converts of 07 mods which can easily be done by any of the users/players.

People would probably just choose which is alphabetically first :D

And by make I don't mean converted from T-Zone. It is quite irritating to download a mod, only to find that it's a straight convert. With little or no work having been put into it. Why would I want to download a straight convert? I could easily just convert a 2007 mod myself.
