jimmy_shakerz
After I've worked on my 2013 scenario for the last four months, I've decided to go ahead and create a real world mod based on the present days called "Know Your Role" Yeah I know it's a catch phrase from The Rock from 6 years ago but it sounds cool. I chose that over "Just Bring It". This won't be a converted version of T-Zone, I want to do it from scratch and I need help. I'm not that good with bios so that's why you won't see any in the screen shots below. I am looking for a late July/August release date and just like RaveX a couple of years ago, I intend on keeping it up to date every month. If you're interested in helping, pm me. troy10
This would be awesome! My only suggestion is to keep it too about 1500 workers and 25 promotions. Good luck.
fatallylost
If you want a cheap way around bios, just copy from the promotions website, or wikipedia. Personally, if it's, say, Triple H. I know who he is so it wouldn't matter to me. But, if you had someone like, say, Joey Ryan, not as many people know him.
Wildcat
I assume you are posting the stats for input, if not I apologize. But here are my suggestions. Abyss rep is too high, high D+ to low C- is average and while Abyss isn't a backstage issue, he's not regarded as the greatest either so I'd go with something like mid-high C+ Sex appeal is also way too high and his Menace is a bit high as well, Sex apeal is used to describe how good looking a worker is to the opposite sex, Abyss doesn't strike me as someone women would consider "handsome" and would go more towards a D+ in that category. Menace should be high but not quite that high, I'd envision someone like Kane getting an A, Abyss is the next tier down under Kane so he might warrant more like a upper tier B+ Angle Hardcore seems a bit low, Angle isn't New Jack by any means, but I can see him going good in a street fight or busting a few people open in a good hardcore match. C+ seems better for that one. Rep needs to come way down. Angle is one of those guys that though he is respected, he rubs people the wrong way backstage alot and so he should be down to a D+, maybe even a D- in the reputation category. Menace should be a bit higher as well. He's not a massive guy, but if you put him in as an enforcer he's going to work pretty well... so I'd bump that up to a B-. One minor thing - how can you not go with Bring the Pain over Know your Role? How :)
Zero
If I was naming it i would name it "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" by Ric Flair

KarWashKirbz
Hey Jimmy, do you need any help with this? Bios I can do pretty well ;) Assign me to a promotion to do bios and ill get to work. A larger promotion preferred :P
SHaynes23
Looks good so far. Only thing I've noticed is the focus of the brands. I guess Raw and Smackdown's are all right, but ECW doesn't have a hardcore focus anymore. I can only really remember two or three hardcore matches in ECW not counting One Night Stand since the year started, which might be less than the other two brands. It's just a glorified developmental territory that operates just like the other two brands now. Good luck with this, the more real world mods the better. The only reason it's lowered is due to events like law problems and backstage incidents. You could maybe make an argument that Angle's reputation should be around a B+, but there's no reason for Abyss to be anything but A*. DaMegaFish
To avoid confusion, burnout and the like of editing, Id say set a start date for when you want the data to start, and keep that. THEN after you get done with it if you want to edit it monthly that would be cool, but as things are constantly changing, if you try to build the database and keep changing it it will probably just become a headache... Eisen-verse
I like the idea of a fresh database. It would be great to see a real world data with much less data than what most do. Maybe workers from TNA, WWE, ROH, and maybe some decent indy workers. That way you're not having to cycle through hundreds of people you would never ever pick up anyways. jimmy_shakerz
I don't know for you, but I have a very average pc and I tried the T-Zone data from last year and it really take half the time to load so I don't think the size really matter in TEW08 Right now i'm at 221 wrestler (only TNA and WWE done) Damn WWE have alot of staff.. and Johnny Ace isn't even in.. Banford
I'm willing to help, anything for a decent real life mod!
troy10
In all honesty, I have a fairly good computer and I can't get into games with like 1800+ workers because the loading times are so massive. I think Eisen hit the nail right in the head, I don't think anyone (bar maybe the people who live in that promotions area) are going to play with "Insert City Name" Pro Wrestling. Id only really want to play with them and then make a few decent wrestlers to bring into them promotions with a group of good wrestlers floating about the indys on pay per appearance contracts who could eventually be drafted to the big 2 companies. How many wrestlers do you think this would be?
troy10
I would imagine about 1000 workers would be good, although I can't really see this particular project being under 1300.
jimmy_shakerz
As someone said I think the ideal would be between 1300 and 1500 wrestlers with about 20-25 promotions Will be in for sure in North America : WWE, TNA, ROH, Shimmer, FCW, CZW, IWS, JAPW, PWU, ECWA, IWA-Mid South and PWG
