1991 - FILLING THE COLLISEUM
It is year 1991 and the 1990’s are still very young. Wrestlemania is 4 months away, and for this year Vince McMahon has big plans to run Wrestlemania in the largest arena yet, the LA Sports Coliseum, with hopes of breaking the Wrestlemania III attendance record and of course, making a truckload of money. It’s obvious however that it will be harder then he thinks. His big idea to run Hulk Hogan Vs. freshly heel turned Sgt. Slaughter in an American Hero Vs. Iraq Sympathizer match is flopping, as early reaction to the gimmick has been luke-warm. That is not Vince’s only option however. Mark Calloway, formerly known as Mean Mark, recently debuted at the last PPV under an intriguing gimmick where he is being referred to as The Undertaker. Unlike Slaughter, the reaction to the Undertaker has been red hot from the very beginning. His undead monster character is the perfect one for a Hogan feud one would think. Or will the enigmatic Ultimate Warrior not drop the belt at all. Will you instead try to rely on the Warrior to fill the Coliseum, to load the Coliseum, load them with the Warriors? In general, will you continue to run with the old guard, or begin the "New Generation" a few years early. It could be a long road to re-condition fans to not believing the "Bigger is Better" approach that the company has pushed for so many years, but talented as well as charismatic wrestlers such as Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels could make the transition easy. On January 2nd 1991, WCW officially split from the NWA, began to recognize its own champions, and will begin the process of building up the new "WCW" brand name as a viable competitor to the WWF. As WCW, will you continue to try and style yourself as the WWF despite fans objection, or push a contrasting product to satisfy your longtime fans and convert others. A lightweight division perhaps, or an infusion of foreign talent. A properly formed 4 Horseman if nothing else. Or, as the WWF, will you try to get the one and only Ric Flair away from the WCW in time to do Hogan Vs. Flair for the first time ever? How will you "Fill The Coliseum"? One thing is for sure--- Hogan-Slaughter isn't going to do it. The title was vacated after interference from the debuting Ric Flair in a Hogan Vs. Undertaker match. Hogan, Flair, and The Undertaker are obvious favorites to win the belt, but the WWF could just as easily go with a less likely candidate, and not have to worry about an established star not wanting to drop the strap to someone who hasn’t “paid their dues” in this situation, since the title match is rumored to be getting contested in the Royal Rumble match itself. WCW, as usual, is in a state of systematic destruction. Fans are in a state of unrest since Flair’s depature. Real wrestling talent is being exchanged with talent that doesn’t have the experience or seasoning, or in some cases even talent to hang in a major promotion. They can’t help but continue to come off as minor league to a WWF product that is having problems of it’s own. One thing is for sure, the WCW lacks clear leadership. Thats why there was a such a long delay, I was uploading that thing. Download times seemed to vary depending on the person. 95% of the workers have pictures, and many have multiple pictures spanning their entire career. It may take long to download and take up alot of space but yes I do suggest downloading the pic pack as alot of work was put into assigning the time specific, gimmick specific worker pictures for each promotion. The pictures go for both mods, so assign both mods to the pic folder (90’s) if it doesn’t do it automatically 1992 is missing a few of the in depth bios that can be found in 1991, just because I wanted to make sure I released this on the 20th like I had said. Due to me completing the 1992 mod first, and then creating 1991 Filling The Colliseum from that, there will be say, a gimmick that is exlusive to the 1991 mod, or a new promotion only in the 1991 mod. Aside from that the changes are just simply time specific. And obviously since I made both mods, there is consistancy throughout. So if you like the 1991 mod, dont fear trying the 1992 one, and vice versa. So for example if the 1991 one mod has a new promotion in it that the 1992 mod does not, there’s no need to let me know about that, just import it to your liking. If I do end up doing another version , I’ll only be updating 1991, just to avoid the aggravation having to make the same additions/corrections to two databases. Thanks for your time and patience everyone, and enjoy.
Are Jim Garvin and Jimmy Garvin the same person? Because they both exist in the database.
Theyre the same person. Jim Garvin should go and Jimmy should stay in this situation, since the latter has the contract assigned.
