cyberkitten01 Posted June 24, 2008 Share Posted June 24, 2008 From the Developer's Journal;
Prestige is used in deciding a promotion's size. So if you were 80% popular in a 50% prestige region, that counts as 40% Prestige Points (80 x 50%). These are then used in the size calculations (i.e. "you need to get 25% Prestige Points in one region to reach Small size", etc).
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Wallbanger Posted June 25, 2008 Share Posted June 25, 2008 Your importance in a region is your raw popularity times the importance of the region you have popularity in. For example, in the default database, two regions have 100% Region importance: Tri-State (USA) and Kanto (Japan). This is an easy calculation, as your popularity is your importance in those regions. On the other end of the spectrum, Central Australia only has 50% Region importance. This means whatever your popularity is in Central Austrailia, cut that number in half to determine your importance in that region. I recently made a spreadsheet to help with calculating importance -- see this thread.
