sabataged
Anyone having trouble picking a promotion and sticking with it? I started with TCW when the game first came out, and was having trouble booking. So I took on NYCW, and ran an 8 month game, and then switched back to TCW. I only managed 3 months, before I got bored. Since then I started a USPW, CGC, and NOTBPW for like a month each. I just can't decide what I want to run. I am thinking of doing a CZCW game, as it was my longest running and most fun game in 07.
Colby
Yeah, I'm going through a similar time. Anyone got any suggestions?
Kehi7
what I do when I get bored is hire a bunch of new talent, or start wars with other companies and try to send them out of business!!!
Kainlock
of course it depends what what you like to do. I used to move around alot not sticking to any one promotion. I am now working with APW in australia. I think it is a nice starter becuase you are all alone so you don't have to worry about battles, and most of your stars can only work in Australia so you don't have to worry about them leaving, of course that also means you have little to choose from. APW is 90% wrestling for events and the owner won't let you change it so all you have to worry about is booking matches and angles. I like APW because there is enough star power to put on good shows. Yet it is still small and you can buld easily.
AdmiralZ
Try starting your own promotion. When I first started, I was playing as SWF and I found it annoying having to get to know all the workers etc. Starting your own promotion is good because you know all the workers because you sign them all, plus it's a fun challenge trying to claw your way to the top. Remianen
I concur with the start your own promotion thing. What's also been fun for me is doing the freestyle thing and working within my own owner goals (which are often far more stringent than the AI generated ones, but always make sense). I find I'm a lot more mindful of the bottom line when it's my money being spent (figuratively speaking).
crice1007
I had the same problem. NOTBPW, CGC, NOTBPW (again), SWF, TCW, NOTBPW (3rd time), and finally SWF (again). I think I finally got my SWF booking down (plus I've been hiring some old NOTBPW guys), so hopefully I'll be sticking with it. But who knows, I could wind up knocking them down to cult again. Greg2511
I too was doing the jump de jump, started with my own promotion, then SWF, then TCW (not a fan), then PSW, then FCW, back to my own promotion only opened after simming to 2010, then swf (made too many turns and screwed myself over) so started swf again, and just to keep myself interested, started a diary and made Phil Vibert a user character...now i have months of story lines in my head, nothing concrete, just ready to go
EricAdams
I'm two years into a CZCW game and having a ball. I might restart when new workers role in depending on how adding them in works, but I'm loving what I've done with them so far.
FINisher
I have played about 9 months in my GCG save and loving the game more as it gets longer. You get to know your roster, the chemistries, some guys have developed quite well in that time aswell. I'm C overall in Japan, been really fast in rising because of continuos C+ to B cards, but I think it's going to be hard to get those B+ to A cards anytime soon, and I'll be stuck just below the national size :( I have some great younger talents in the roster that I have been slowly pushing: Jay Chord, Merle O'Curle, Shooter Sean Deeley, Jacob Jett and others.. can't wait when Matthew and Greg Keith (Gauge) get the respect level up to D- so that they are no longer young lions.. Also in my game BHOTWG fell to Cult almost right from the start, and WLW never got a tv-deal. I have been thinking of going war with them, to keep them way below me, but they seem to get really good cards :D But, I'm safe as long as they don't have a tv-deal. So maybe when I'm in national, I would have no national battles since GCG and PGHW would be the only National size promotions in Japan (Unless BHOTWG makes to national which I doubt, they have been struggling.) Sigilistic
I took Remi's advice and started a new promotion in the C-verse, using Remi's product to boot. I hired a roster of completely unemployed workers in order to avoid scheduling conflicts and to emphasize my personal desire to create my own stars. We just cracked small and while it's been slow, rough going (including getting knocked back down to local thanks to losing a battle), it's been lots of fun. sabataged
I took the advice of the people in this thread and started up a small company of my own. Now I have built it up to Cult status. Im really enjoying my game right now. Thanks guys.
