Comedy Promotions?

Recommended Posts

What's the trick to booking promotions with comedy as a key feature? I'm assuming the talent cuts a lot of promos, use a lot of comedy gimmicks, and you use skit segments a lot, but do certain angles not work? Like would an abduction angle not work because it's not funny? Do violent matches not work because they're too violent/risky to be funny? Am I just thinking way too into this?

The higher it is, the more your fans will expect of this type of thing. As long as you have in other features, be it violent, risky, or whatever your ok. Comedy doesn't have to be Bill Cosby, you can throw in a little Richard Pryor just as easily. Remember, it's not "Family Friendly" we are talking about here.

I JUST started a Comedy promotion last night. Sadly, I haven't got around to booking for it yet, but I'm gonna assume Comedy gimmicks will be a hit, and as the notes say, wrestlers will be rated much higher on their overness than their performance. I'll post some results of what went down as soon as I book the first show (company named League of Melee in Alberta Organization, or LMAO, for the record). Hopefully the fans will except my massive pushing of Mammoth (who has C Sex Appeal! WTF?)
