A Jumper's Tale

Recommended Posts

That's odd, it's like I just woke up from a dream. I got zapped at the bar... I woke up in a trunk... pistol whipped... and then injected with some... chip. Mental note, next time I'm thrown in a trunk, act like I'm unconscious if they check on me. But this is weird. Is that Cliff Anderson? “...and that's why I'm bringing in this man to oversee head booking. I'm never playing poker again, I swear.” Wait a minute... is he looking at me? “Everybody, I'd like to introduce you to William Peers.” William Peers? I'm not William Peers... I'm Zack Macomber. Forced clapping, grunts from the guys. “Who?” “You've got a fine eye for talent, Cliff.” “Didn't this guy wash my windshield last week?” This is messed up. Rummaging in my pocket, I find a piece of paper.
“Welcome to your new life... as a jumper.”
What's a jumper? My head... This bed is soft. Maybe if I just lie down, then I'll figure out what's going on. Yeah... that's better. Wait a second, there's someone else in here, I saw him in the window! “Alright! Come on out. I know you're in here. What do you want with me?” Where did he hide? In the bathroom? No. Closet? No. Maybe.... UNDER THE BED! No... Hold on a second... No... it can't be. There isn't anyone else in this room... That person in the window... it's me. But it isn't me. It's... it's... someone else? Oh boy. I really am in trouble now. Maybe if I look at that note again...
“Welcome to your new life... William Peers. The person you once knew... is gone. You have become him. Don't fail him. Because if you do... well... just don't. You're a jumper now. CZCW must succeed. One man in CZCW must succeed. Do not fail.”
What is with this? How did that note get in there? Now its home is the trash can. CZCW, huh? Who must succeed? What's going on? I'm going to sleep.

Well, maybe it won't be so bad here. If people want to think I'm William Peers, let them. At least I'm doing what I love to do the most. Pro wrestling. Maybe now I'll be able to do things right. Monday, January 1, 2008. CZCW Revolution 2008 The Snake Pit (South West, USA) The first program of the new year begins with James Prudence, CZCW Champion telling the crowd that he is the best and will hold on to the title for the next several years. He goes on to say that Snap Dragon's visa wouldn't clear and he won't be here tonight for James to beat. So a title defense will have to wait. (C-) Match 1: Al Coleman vs. Jake Idol The two men fight very evenly, but it's the presence of Jakki that puts the win into Jake Idol's hands in 12 minutes. (E) Frankie Perez, one half of the CZCW Tag Team Champions with Remmy Skye, comes to the ring and quickly takes a microphone. He calls out Prudence to be a man and defend the title tonight... against him. Prudence comes out, thinks about it, and accepts. (C-) Match 2: Insane Machine vs. Masked Cougar Cougar seemed to be having all sorts of problems getting his balance together as he was pummeled by Machine. Which led to machine getting the victory in 24 minutes. (D-) Fox Mask comes to the ring to loud cheers from the fans. He tells them that he's making his way back to the top and that Mikey James will be the first in line to be hunted. (D+) Match 3: Fox Mask vs. Mikey James A great back and forth, fast paced match for the first half, and a spot heavy battle for the second. Fox was able to pull the victory out with a Fox Hunter in 28 minutes. (D+) Farrah and Cliff do a little hype for the main event, noting James Prudence having his first defense of the new year and Perez's recent Tag Title victory. (D) Main Event: James Prudence © vs. Frankie Perez (CZCW Championship) Another very good match to cap off the show. The two champions showed the crowd something that isn't seen very much anymore, determination. Both men were determined to win the match, but only one man could feasibly walk away with the win. That man? The CZCW Champion, James Prudence in 27. (C-) Overall: C- Attendance: 876

Wait a minute... Didn't I throw this note away? “Don't get hasty with running the promotion. Don't hire anyone that can't make the show look real. And if you lose all of Cliff's money, well then, you fail.” Friday, Week 1, January 2008. The Tide Is In Grissom Auditorium Flying Jimmy Foxx starts the show showing interest in defending the Xtreme Title. The challenge is quickly answered by Jeremiah Moose who wants to prove himself as the next champion. (E+) Match 1: Jeremiah Moose vs. Flying Jimmy Foxx © (Xtreme Championship) – Ladder Match The timing of the two was way off during the match, which was a let down to some of the fans coming to see a crisp, smooth, ladder match. Foxx came out the winner after laying out Moose with the ladder and getting his belt in 10 minutes. (D-) Jakki, manager of Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan, comes to the ring to announce an open challenge on behalf of her clients. Al Coleman comes out and says he has a partner in town tonight and would like to prove their supremacy. (E+) Match 2: Rich and Famous vs. The Mean Machine Al Coleman brought out his tag team partner, Antonio, and started blasting away on Rich and Famous. The challenging team could never fully regroup and fell to Al Coleman in 7 when he used the ropes for leverage. (E) Matt Sparrow comes down to the ring for a quick autograph signing with the fans. After a couple minutes, Ultimate Phoenix comes out and says that we've had enough of the autographs and that the fans want action. Sparrow finishes his polaroid and then walks right up into Plague's face, telling him to bring it. (D) Match 3: Matt Sparrow vs. Ultimate Phoenix A fine match displayed by both men. Putting these two in a ladder match may be a good idea for business one of these days. Phoenix just outlasted his opponent, hitting the Phoenix Firebird Splash in 20 for the win. (D) Cliff and Farrah hype up our main event between Donnie J and Plague, citing Donnie J as a former CZCW Champion and needing to move back up, while Plague has been on a bit of a slide since late 2007. (D+) Main Event: Donnie J vs. Plague Not one of the best offerings CZCW has ever put on, but Plague tried his best to hoist Donnie up, he just came a little short in his loss to the former CZCW Champion, getting hit with the Death on Miami Beach in 16. (D-) Donnie grabs a microphone post match and verbally lays into James Prudence, he demands a title shot at Vendetta and expects an answer next week. (D+) Final Rating: D Attendance: 1589

It's another damn note! “Betrayal is around every corner. Surprise them before they surprise you, or you will never be able to be victorious, and never be able to leave.” What does that even mean? I need to find out who is leaving me these notes in my jeans. Seriously now. They're getting fired. Friday, Week 2, January 2008. The Tide Is In Colorado Springs Bar (Mid South, USA) James Prudence comes to the ring and talks about Donnie J's challenge last week. He gets noticeably angry at the audacity of his former partner. Donnie comes out to confront him saying to be a man and give him a shot at what is rightfully his. James gets further annoyed and blows up, telling Donnie that they won't wait until Vendetta, they will fight. TONIGHT! (D+) Match 1: Masked Cougar vs. Jeremiah Moose A solid match to start the show that saw both men flying around. Moose looked good, but not as good as Cougar, who put him away in 8 with the Cougar Pounce. (D-) Match 2: Marc Speed vs. The American Flash Should have switched this and the opener around. Whoops. Speed outclassed Flash and beat him in 7 minutes via Cross Armbreaker. (E) CZCW Tag Team Champions, The Redshift Riders, Remmy Skye and Frankie Perez, let Colorado know that it's time they defend their tag titles and will tonight against the team of Snap Dragon and Canadian Dragon. And they promise a victory. (D-) Match 3: Redshift Riders © vs. Snap Dragon and Canadian Dragon (CZCW Tag Team Championship) The two Dragons disappoint as they don't get on well as a tag team. The champs have their way with the challengers and win in 12 minutes. (D-) Fox Mask comes to the ring to say some kind words about his opponent for tonight, Ultimate Phoenix. Before he can finish a sentence, Phoenix comes out and tells Fox that the best man will win tonight, whoever it will be will deserve it. Fox extends his hand in a gesture of respect and Phoenix shakes it. (C-) Match 4: Fox Mask vs. Ultimate Phoenix A wonderful display of flying between the two men. Phoenix gets the early advantage, but loses it after a moment when Fox takes over. Several near falls leads into the Fox Hunter out of nowhere and a victory for Fox in 15. (C-) Main Event: James Prudence © vs. Donnie J (CZCW Championship) Should have gone with my instincts, but the rule says put the big title on last. The match between the Flyboys was not as aerial as the match on before, which ultimately hurt it. Donnie absolutely destroyed James Prudence and took the CZCW Championship back for himself. (D-) Donnie celebrates with the title to end out the show (D+) Overall: D Attendance: 257

Friday, Week 3, January 2008. The Tide Is In Grissom Auditorium (South West, USA) Dark Match: Donnie J destroys the American Flash in 5 minutes (D-) Donnie announces that there will be a tournament to decide his opponent at Vendetta. Round one will take place tonight, and will pit Matt Sparrow vs. Snap Dragon (D-) and Mikey James vs. Insane Machine (E+) Match 1: Rich and Famous vs. the Speed Show (Marc Speed and Jeremiah Moose) The Speed Show showed some impressive moves for a new team and were able to bump Rich and Famous to the back of the tag rankings once again. (E+) Match 2: Matt Sparrow vs. Snap Dragon A definite show of flashy wrestling between these two. Everything looked crisp and Matt completely destroyed Snap with the Bird Brain Buster in 14. (D) Match 3: Mikey James vs. Insane Machine A disappointment between these two, who don't seem to click in the ring. Their timing was off and it showed through the match until Machine ended it in 17 with the Termination Kick. (D-) Donnie comes out and announces that next week, Matt Sparrow will face Insane Machine to see who will be his challenger at Vendetta. (D-) Cliff and Peers hype up the upcoming main event, which will pit Plague against independent mainstay, Acid! (D) Main Event: Plague vs. Acid In the best match CZCW has seen for awhile, these two flew around for nearly a half hour. Plague looked great against Acid, but couldn't quite pull it out, as the crafty veteran pulled out the win with the Acid Rain Bomb. (C) Overall: C- Attendance: 1437

Friday, Week 4, January 2008. The Tide Is In Colorado Springs Bar (Mid South, USA) Match 1: Remmy Skye vs. Jackpot Jordan Remmy didn't ever give Jordan a chance to look like he was going to win. The whole match lacked psychology and was merely okay. (D-) Match 2: Canadian Dragon vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) Donnie J always surprises me, putting on good matches with the most random people. This is one of those times. He made Dragon look good, but not good enough to get up from a Death on Miami Beach. (D+) Matt Sparrow got some promo time, telling Donnie to keep the belt warm for him, like a mama bird and its babies. (D-) Match 3: Matt Sparrow vs. Insane Machine A nice back and forth battle between these two. Matt stayed one step ahead of Machine though, and was able to drop him with the Bird Brain Buster in 15. (D+) It is officially announced that Donnie J will defend his title against Matt Sparrow at Vendetta. (D) Match 4: Mikey James vs. Flying Jimmy Foxx © (Ladder, Xtreme Championship) I thought this would be a much better match than it was, but disappointment always hits with CZCW. Foxx comes out of nowhere to knock Mikey off the ladder to the floor and then grabs the belt to win. (D) Cliff, Farrah, and Peers hype up the main event between the returning Acid and the debuting Mainstream Hernandez. (D+) Main Event: Acid vs. Mainstream Hernandez If this isn't clicking, then I'd love to know how it would have been had they clicked. Another wonderful affair involving Acid. Now, if I could get him to come back under a PPA contract. Maybe when WLW stops touring for awhile. Much like last week, Acid wins with the Acid Rain Bomb in 22. (C) Overall: D+ Attendance: 239

God Da.... another note? Who keeps getting in here? “Growth is the key to survival. Spread the Zone. Use the loan.” What? Alright, we're going to the North West. Friday, Week 1, February 2008. The Tide Is In Club X (North West, USA) Match 1: Al Coleman vs. Marc Speed A nice, quick opener to get Al on the shows and Marc a quick win. (D-) Match 2: Redshift Riders © vs. Mikey James and Insane Machine (CZCW Tag Championship) Mikey and Insane start the match with a hand shake and then it turns into an all out brawl between the four men. Rules and tags be damned, which is lucky cause Frankie wasn't looking too good out there, but it does allow the Redshift Riders to retain in 9. (D) Match 3: Fox Mask vs. Snap Dragon Much like Frankie, Fox looked a little off tonight and his performance suffered, but not too badly, as Snap Dragon was able to cover it up. Fox picks up the win with the Fox Hunter in 18. (D-) Mainstream Hernandez makes his mic debut and tells the fans he's stoked to be in CZCW and will put an end to Flying Jimmy Foxx's Xtreme Title reign. Plague comes out, shakes his head, and points to himself. Mainstream says they should fight tonight to see who will take the honor. (E+) Match 4: Mainstream Hernandez vs. Plague Quite a good match between the two. Mainstream looked like he was about to win several times, but Plague was unable to be put away and won with the New Jersey Turnpike in 21. (D+) Cliff, Farrah, and Peers talk a bit about the main event between Ultimate Phoenix and Masked Cougar. They say that both men need to pick up a victory to find their way back into their respective title hunts. (D) Match 5: Masked Cougar vs. Ultimate Phoenix Disappointment, hello, I thought you would leave me alone tonight... I guess not. In what should have been a hell of a match, Ultimate Phoenix beats Cougar in 15. (D-) Overall: D Attendance: 146

Monday, Week 2, February 2008 CZCW Vendetta Grissom Auditorium (South West, USA) Dark Match: Rich and Famous def. The Speed Show in 8 minutes (D-) Match 1: Mikey James vs. Al Coleman A quick opener to pop the crowd. Mikey makes quick work of Al in 9 minutes (D-) Match 2: Snap Dragon and Ultimate Phoenix vs. The Redshift Riders © (CZCW Tag Team Championship) Remmy was off his game tonight, but luckily Frankie took the brunt of the match. In fact, Frankie was able to pick up the win over Ultimate Phoenix with the P-Clutch in 15 to retain. (D+) Match 3: Fox Mask vs. Insane Machine The two Zone super-veterans put on a hell of a match for the crowd. These guys don't need chemistry to tell a story to the crowd. Fox defeats Machine with the Fox Hunter in 23. (C-) Match 4: Plague vs. Mainstream Hernandez vs. Masked Cougar vs. Flying Jimmy Foxx © (CZCW Xtreme Championship, Ladder Match) A ridiculous ladder match between these four. No man gets the upper hand until Plague jumps from one ladder, drop kicking Foxx off, grabbing onto the ladder, balancing it, and climbing up to grab the belt. New Xtreme Champion, Plague. (D+) Match 5: Matt Sparrow vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) I don't know what it is about Donnie J, sometimes he stinks, and sometimes he's gold. This is one of those golden nights, as he and the bird man fight long and hard, but Matt can't pick up the win, as Donnie rocks him with a Death On Miami Beach to win in 14. (C-) Main Event: Hell Monkey vs. Jack Marlowe So, I signed Jack Marlowe about a month ago, but he can never be at the Friday shows. So I traded him to WLW to get Monkey. They both happened to be free tonight, so I figured a special attraction main event was in order. Boy was it a good idea. These guys KILLED each other and they had great chemistry too! This may be considered the best match in CZCW as the two battled for 21 minutes until Jack was able to hit the Jungle Jack-Hammer for the win. (C+) Overall: C+ Attendance: 1410

“Alright Cliff, I have it all worked out. We're known in three parts of America, so we're going to rotate where the show is each week. Week 1 will be North West, big show in South West, Week 2 will be Mid South, Week 3 will be South West, Week 4 will be Mid South. That way we can grow in the two areas we deem important, and continue to gain some head way in the North West too. Sound good?”; “Sure, just make money.” Friday, Week 2, February 2008. The Tide Is In Colorado Springs Bar (Mid South, USA) Match 1: Al Coleman vs. Jeremiah Moose Pretty good chemistry between these two youngsters. They put on an okay match for two guys who aren't particularly over. Coleman has to cheat to win though, hitting Moose with a chair in 6 minutes. (E+) Jakki hypes up her team of Jackpot Jordan and Jake Idol. The fans poop all over her. (E) Match 2: Rich and Famous vs. Air Force 1 (Snap Dragon and Flying Jimmy Foxx) To shut her up, Snap and Jimmy come to the ring and reform their successful tag team. They make quick work of Jakki's boys, beating them in 9. Match 3: Ultimate Phoenix vs. Insane Machine The two men fight hard for the advantage, and Phoenix finally gets it. Just then, Al Coleman runs out and waffles Phoenix with the chair from earlier. Machine doesn't see it, but does hit a moonsault and win in 15. (D) Al Coleman steps into the ring and extends his hand to Machine. He thinks for a second a accepts. (F) Matt Sparrow comes out and demands a rematch against Donnie, citing the lights were in his eyes, he had a temperature of 104, he stepped on a crack earlier in the night, and finally that he is allergic to Donnie's cologne. (E) Match 4: Masked Cougar vs. Mainstream Hernandez The match started off enjoyable, but after the first half, it began to drag, really hurting the flow. The boys finally realized it and Mainstream destroyed him with the Apparition #14 in 20 minutes. (D-) Donnie J comes out and accepts the challenge made by Sparrow. (E+) Main Event: Matt Sparrow vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) Not exactly on par with their match on Monday, but that was in a different area, so we'll wash it like that. The match did go the exact same way though, with Donnie winning in 15. (D+) Overall: D Attendance: 194

More notes? “Try something new. Something never really seen before in CZCW. You must snuff out the competition to rule the roost.” Well, that may have just given me an idea... Time to be evil. Friday, Week 3, February 2008. The Tide Is In Grissom Auditorium (South West, USA) Match 1: Al Coleman vs. The American Flash Just a squash to get both men a match. It doesn't really mean anything for either of them, but Al wins in an easy one. (E+) Donnie J is out to cut a promo, but he is attacked from behind by Matt Sparrow and completely worked over. It takes security to get Matt off the champ. (D-) Match 2: Mainstream Hernandez vs. Mikey James A good showing by both men. They really have a lot going for them and are the future of CZCW to be sure. Mainstream pulls off the win with a superkick in 15. (D) Match 3: The Speed Show vs. Air Force 1 Kind of a let down between the four men. No real action is seen before Snap Dragon defeats Moose. (E+) Matt Sparrow comes back out to the ring and demands a rematch against Donnie J. Fox Mask comes out instead. (D) Match 4: Fox Mask vs. Matt Sparrow Fox totally dominates Matt Sparrow in this one. It really isn't much of a contest as Fox finishes him with the Fox Hunter. (D) Main Event: Insane Machine vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) Good news, these two guys have pretty good chemistry, which means I will have a backup feud in place. They wrestle a smart game, feeling each other for the first half, and then going into action the second half. Donnie continues his winning ways, however, as he puts Machine away with the Death on Miami Beach. (D+) Donnie grabs a microphone and flat out denies the challenge issued by Matt Sparrow. (D+) Overall: D Attendance: 1589

(D) Wanda lets everyone know that CZCW has just instituted a Women's Division that will out wrestle the men any day of the week. She proclaims that she will be the first Women's Champion, that will be decided next month. (D) Match 2: Raven Nightfall vs. Suzanne Brazzle Our second women's match is a failure as these two ladies don't seem to click. Not every move can be perfect, but Raven got the win in 13. (E+) Match 3: Ultimate Phoenix vs. Plague © (CZCW Xtreme Championship, Ladder Match) An amazing showing by both men. 14 minutes of non stop action ended with Plague retaining his title in impressive fashion. (C-) Fox Mask comes out to say that it is an honor to be facing off against Hell Monkey tonight. He promises a hard fought match and a victory. (D) Main Event: Hell Monkey vs. Fox Mask Even being off his game tonight, Fox brought in a better performance than more than half the roster is capable of. For 28 minutes, these two warriors fought back and forth. It wasn't until Hell Monkey missed an uncharacteristic top rope dive that Fox was able to take over and set up the Fox Hunter for the win. (C-) Overall: D+ Attendance: 169 “Alright Cliff, new plan. We're going to put AAA out of business.” “What? Why? How?” “I've already signed most of their major talent. We're going to hold a Women's Division show on the 1st Tuesday of each month. It's going to be designed to hurt AAA and make us look good in the process.” “But won't that make us look like jerks?” “Who cares? War will be declared on the 1st of the month. Trust me, if we go out and put on better shows than them, we'll move up the prestige ladder in no time.” “You're scaring me, I thought you were just some unlucky schmuck who sucked at poker.” “The William Peers you once knew is gone. Meet... Infiniti. Oh yeah, next month, I start wrestling.” -- The next show will be the first Women's brand show. There will be a tournament to crown a Women's Champion. For funzies, these are the brackets. If you can figure it out, you get a prize. “New Schedule: Tuesday Week 1, Women's Show in the North West. Friday Week 1, Men's Show in South West. Monday, Week 2, Joint Show in South West. Friday, Week 2, Men's Show in Mid South. Friday, Week 3, Men's Show in South West. Friday, Week 4, Men's Show in Mid South. Any questions? No? Break.” Tuesday, Week 1, March 2008 CZCW Women's Revolution Club X (North West, USA) Match 1: Jamie Quinn vs. Suzanne Brazzle Good opener, Jamie looks good, but Suzanne looks better and picks up the win in 11. (D-) Match 2: Melody Cuthill vs. Wanda Fish Melody is a fine wrestler from the Stone camp in Canada. As such, she puts up a great fight against Wanda. But it isn't enough, as the Dish of the Day picks up the win in 13. (D+) Match 3: Joanne Rodriguez vs. Kate Lilly It was hard for Kate Lilly to look as good as former Zoner, Joanne Rodriguez, and that's why J-Ro put her in her place with the J-Rocker to win in 11. (D) Match 4: Michelle Brendon vs. Raven Nightfall So far the shortest match of the night, Michelle thought she had an opening on Raven, but it was merely a trap for the Night Faller. They looked like they had chemistry, and that's a good thing. (D-) J-Ro and Suzanne Brazzle take a moment to hype up their match. They duel promo, each claiming to be the next CZCW Women's Champion. (D) Match 5: Joanne Rodriguez vs. Suzanne Brazzle In a bummer moment for me, these two don't seem to click. Crappy, yes, but the match was still pretty decent. These two ladies threw everything at each other and when Joanne thought she had it won, Suzanne hit her with the Miracle Connection for the pin in 11. (D) Raven Nightfall tells Wanda Fish that she has no chance to win this one and Raven will beat Brazzle again and be the champion. (D-) Match 6: Raven Nightfall vs. Wanda Fish A very nice match between these two. They chain back and forth early before Raven takes over. She controls until Wanda catches her with the Dish of the Day in 11 for the win. (C-) Wanda grabs the microphone and calls Brazzle out to get beat. (D) Main Event: Suzanne Brazzle vs. Wanda Fish (CZCW Women's Championship) Ooooh.... bad planning on my part, I guess. These two shouldn't be in the ring for this long against each other. Horrible match. Suzanne wins. New champ. (E) Suzanne does some post match celebrating, which is sadly more entertaining than the match she just won. (E+) Overall: D- Attendance: 143 “We are bleeding money after that, Peers. Shape it up.” “Don't you worry Cliff, this will pay off. We have a ton of money that we'll be able to make off of these ladies. Trust me.” “That main event sucked.” “Yeah, I'll be having a chat with those two.”

Friday, Week 1, March 2008 The Tide Is In Grissom Auditorium (South West, USA) Match 1: Jamie Quine vs. Melody Cuthill Both women are looking to get their name in the hat for a title shot, and Melody makes a great stride toward said title shot as she out wrestles Jamie to get the win in 8. (D-) Two darker skinned men come down to the ring in matching sequined robes and bleached blond hair. One grabs the microphone and introduces himself as the Sensational Singh and his partner as the Bronzed God. They plan on steamrolling through the tag team division and taking the belts. (E) Match 2: Absolutely Fabulous (Sensational Singh and Bronzed God) vs. Jungle Cats (Masked Cougar and Masked Lion) Two new teams with something to prove. A fun tag formula match that saw Cougar pick up the win on the Sensational Singh with a Cougar Pounce in 13. (D-) My in ring debut as the masked Infiniti. I promise destruction for the whole of CZCW and my inevitable rise to the top. For there is no beginning, there is no end, there is only now. (C) Match 3: Infiniti vs. Rod Remus I'm sure this match is going to surprise everyone in the back who thought that Peers wasn't anything but an unlucky sap. I feel bad that I had to work circles around the new kid, but it'll do him good. I put him out with my Timeless Sleep submission in 12. (D) We get a little hype video for Air Force 1 and the Redshift Riders. (E+) Match 4: Air Force 1 vs. Redshift Riders © (CZCW Tag Team Championship) Remmy, as usual, was off his game. Luckily he didn't hurt Snap Dragon when he finished him with a Skye Driver in 15. (D) Mainstream Hernandez comes to the ring to tell Donnie J that he is the future of CZCW and that he will fulfill his destiny tonight by winning thr CZCW Championship. (D) Main Event: Mainstream Hernandez vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) It really looked like Mainstream could walk away from this one as the champion, but Donnie has a bit too much experience and caught him with the Death On Miami Beach to win in 14. (D+) Overall: D Attendance: 1534 “Hey Peers, that wasn't a very good show.” “I know, I'm as baffled as you are. Don't worry, I'll blow you away Monday.” “You'd better.”

Monday, Week 2, March 2008. CZCW Uprising Grissom Auditorium (South West, USA) Dark Match: Absolutely Fabulous def. The Speed Show in 9 minutes. (D) Match 1: Plague © vs. Air Attack Weasel vs. Mikey James vs. Flying Jimmy Foxx (CZCW Xtreme Championship, Ladder Match) Plague doesn't have much trouble retaining in this one. He's going to want some better opponents soon. (D) Match 2: Fox Mask and Infiniti vs. Redshift Riders © (CZCW Tag Team Championship) Now this, this was a hell of a match. I smell a rematch coming very, very soon. The masked team of Fox and myself showed the rest of the tag teams in CZCW how you wrestle a match. The champs tried their damnedest, but it was no use, as Fox hit Frankie with the Fox Hunter for the win and the titles. (C-) Celebration for us afterward. We let everyone on the roster know that we will defend the titles each week there are challengers for us. (C-) Match 3: Jack Marlowe vs. Insane Machine I knew this match would be good. I just didn't know it would be THIS good. Jack brawled, Machine wrestled. Together, they entertained. Jack pulls out the win in 21 minutes with the Jungle Jack-Hammer. (C) Match 4: Jacob Jett vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) Jett tried to out flash the champion, but that was his downfall, as Donnie dodged a flipping senton and hit the Death On Miami Beach for the win in 15. (D+) Special Attraction Main Event: Hell Monkey vs. Acid Ah, I love talent trades. Neither man is contracted to the company, but they do deserve to be in the main event. I can't even describe the match. They just kicked each others' asses. It was very entertaining, especially as the two have pretty good chemistry together. They battled for 34 minutes until Acid was able to put Monkey away with the Acid Rain Bomb. The only downfall for the match was Cliff Anderson and his weak announcing. He didn't know what half the stuff these guys did was called. (C+) And after the match, a fitting send off for both men... Jack Marlowe, Donnie J, Fox Mask, and I speed down to the ring and beat the tar out of the two for a good 7 minutes before telling them to get out of our company. Nice, huh? I don't thin kthe fans were overly thrilled. (D+) Overall: C- Attendance: 1501 Well, I was hoping the main event angle would score better than that, but what can you do?

CZCW: Where booking on the fly is always a good time. “Dammit Cliff! I'm tired of all these touring contracts from Japan! They are messing everything I have planned up.” “Yeah, SWF plucking Matt Sparrow while he was going to run a main event program sure didn't help either.” “That's it. I'm going full blast. I'm sorry Cliff, but we're going to be dipping into the nest egg a bit to get huge.” “Wait... what? You leave my money alone. It's all I have.” Friday, Week 2, March 2008 The Tide Is In Colorado Springs Bar (Mid South, USA) Match 1: Rich and Famous vs. Endless Potential (Fox Mask and Infiniti) © (CZCW Tag Team Championship) No challenge. Not even close. Fox picks up the win with the Fox Flip Off DDT in 11. (D-) After the match, we grab the microphone and lay out the open challenge for next week. Any two men brave or stupid enough to fight us are more than welcome to. (C-) Match 2: Remmy Skye vs. Plague © (Xtreme Championship, Ladder Match) Very, very good match between the two. It's probably going to eclipse the next bouts. Remmy almost came away with the belt, but Plague was just too much and was able to walk away with the win. (C-) Remmy, angry at his near victory, grabs a ladder and assaults Plague while he's celebrating. Remmy grabs the title and holds it high, signaling his interest in it. (E+) Cliff and Farrah hype up the upcoming match between Jack Marlowe and Frankie Perez. They inform us that we're in for a really painful looking match, as both of these guys hit hard. (D) Match 3: Jack Marlowe vs. Frankie Perez Great chemistry is shown between these two hard hitters. Very fun match that sees Jack Marlowe finally put Frankie down with the Jungle Jack-Hammer in 21 minutes. (C) Donnie J says he has quite a performance to follow, but he's confident he'll be able to do it. Ultimate Phoenix will not walk out of here the champion. (D+) Main Event: Ultimate Phoenix vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) Well, we won't ever see this match again. These two don't click and it brought down what could have been an amazing match. Donnie J does what he does best, takes a bit of a beating and hits the Death On Miami Beach out of nowhere for the win. (D+) Overall: D+ Attendance: 171

Friday, Week 3, March 2008. The Tide Is In Grissom Auditorium (South West, USA) Dark Match: Jungle Cats def Rich and Famous in 8. (E+) Match 1: The Speed Show vs. K-Squared and Too Hot Excellent tag chemistry between K and Too Hot. That's a plus I wasn't expecting. It's not like it helped them to go on to win, of course. The Speed Show do in 8. (D-) Mainstream Hernandez calls out Jacob Jett. He says he respects the hell out of him, but that's not going to stop Mainstream from riding the wave of momentum he's on and stopping Jett cold. (D) Match 2: Mainstream Hernandez vs. Jacob Jett The two fly around the ring for 13 minutes, until Mainstream hits the Apparition #14 for the win. (D) Match 3: Rod Remus vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) We've seen the match before. Donnie wins with the Death On Miami Beach in 12. (D) Endless Potential come to the ring and announce their opponents will be Absolutely Fabulous. (C-) Match 4: Endless Potential © vs. Absolutely Fabulous (CZCW Tag Team Championship) Bronzed God and Sensational Singh almost looked like they were going to put Fox Mask away, but Infiniti tagged in and cleaned up, debuting the disgusting stump piledriver, The End. (D) The announcers hype up our main event, which will pit Insane Machine against... STEVE FLASH! (C-) Main Event: Insane Machine vs. Steve Flash Not exactly what I hoped for, but still match of the night. Steve basically made Machine look really good before finishing him off with the Flash Bang in 15. (D+) Donnie J comes out after the match and extends his hand to Steve Flash. Flash shakes his head and walks away, leaving Donnie in the ring, confused. (D+) Overall: D+ Attendance: 1115 “Where was everyone tonight, Peers?” “I don't know. We're not running this place into the ground... we can't be...”

Friday, Week 4, March 2008. The Tide Is In Colorado Springs Bar (Mid South, USA) Match 1: Jungle Cats vs. The Speed Show The Jungle Cats looked good out there, pulling out a victory in 15 minutes. (D-) Mainstream Hernandez comes out and cuts a promo very similar to the one he cut last week, this time with Frankie Perez. (D) Match 2: Frankie Perez vs. Mainstream Hernandez A very good match between the two men. Mainstream wasn't able to keep his win streak alive, sadly, as Frankie made him tap to the P-Clutch. (D+) We get a crappy hype video for the upcoming Xtreme Title Match between Air Attack Weasel, Snap Dragon, Ultimate Phoenix, and Plague. (E) Match 3: Plague © vs. Snap Dragon vs. Air Attack Weasel vs. Ultimate Dragon (CZCW Xtreme Championship, Ladder Match) Very nice ladder match between the four men. Plague is thinking of new things to do each time he's in a ladder match and he retains for it. (C-) The announcers hype up the upcoming CZCW Championship match between Donnie J and... Fumihiro Ota! (D+) Main Event: Fumihiro Ota vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) Ugh... they don't click?! Are you serious? There goes my Ota/Donnie feud. Oh well, life goes on. If they clicked, this match would have been as good or better than the Xtreme match, but we have to settle for worse. You've seen this match before. Donnie with the Death On Miami Beach. (D+) Overall: D Attendance: 122 “Alright boys, due to all of your touring commitments, we're moving shows to Sunday until that no longer makes sense. Please don't sign any more contracts. Thank you.”

CZCW end of quarter 1 review. (My apologies, I did this at game time somewhere in May, so the format isn't as good as the one at the end of June will be. You do get a quick update on the status of the promotion though.) Tuesday, Week 1, April 2008 CZCW Women's Revival Club X (North West, USA) Match 1: Michelle Brendon and Melody Cuthill vs. Jaime Quine and Katherine Goodlooks Not a bad tag match. Jaime and Kat come out with the win though in 10 minutes. (D-) Melody leaves quickly after they lose. Michelle goes to consort with the fans when she is attacked by her opponents and beaten up in the ring. Tracy Brendon runs out and saves her big sister, chasing the other girls off. (E-) Match 2: Raven Nightfall vs. Kate Lilly Typical formula match, Raven owns most of it, Lilly comes back, Raven cheats to get the win in 11. (D-) Tracy Brendon comes back out to the ring. She says her sister is fine and wants to get revenge tonight. She calls out Kat and challenges her. Kat says it's on for tonight. (D-) Match 3: The Brendon Sisters vs. Jaime Quine and Katherine Goodlooks The Brendon Sisters come out with revenge on their mind and definitely get it in this one sided affair. Tracy does the brunt of the work and pins Jaime for the win in 9. (D-) Joanne comes out and shoots some T-shirts because we needed to waste some time. (C+) Match 4: Joanne Rodriguez vs. Wanda Fish Some people say this match was too long, I don't understand them. It was a fine match that saw Wanda pick up the win with the Dish of the Day in 15. (D+) Suzanne Brazzle comes out and claims no one will be able to take the title away from her. (D-) Main Event: Devil's Daughter vs. Suzanne Brazzle Well, Suzanne was right. She was able to frustrate DD enough to get her to bring in a chair and get DQ'ed. (D) Melody Cuthill makes her presence known again by picking up where DD left off, whacking Brazzle with a chair. (E) She says that next month, Brazzle will lose the belt to the best woman wrestler in North America, Melody Cuthill. (D) Overall: D Attendance: 231 “I'm not convinced yet, Will.” “You don't need to be. The fans do.”

Sunday, Week 1, April 2008. The Tide Is In Colorado Springs Bar (Mid South, USA) Match 1: Absolutely Fabulous vs. Air Force 1 In what is definitely an upset, Absolutely Fabulous defeat the former tag champs in 12 minutes. (D-) Plague comes out for a quick autograph signing, when he is ambushed by Frankie Perez and Remmy Skye. They attack him with a ladder until Ultimate phoenix runs out to make the save. (E) Phoenix checks on Plague then grabs a microphone. He says that Plague is fine and ready to do this. (D) Match 2: Plague and Ultimate Phoenix vs. Redshift Riders A much better tag match. Plague and Phoenix work alright together as they put away the former tag champs in 14. (D+) Match 3: Mikey James vs. Jack Marlowe Jack has a talent to make his opponents look amazing. Mikey has never looked like more of a threat, but it is not to be, as a Jungle Jack-Hammer gets him the win. (C-) The announcers hype the upcoming main event match between Ota and Steve Flash. They say management has been working on bringing Ota in for years now, while Steve Flash is a dream acquisition for the company. (D+) Main Event: Fumihiro Ota vs. Steve Flash Good match between these two Zone newcomers. If they had a bit more momentum, I think this match would have been a lot better. Either way, Steve wins with the Flash Bang in 15. (D+) Overall: D+ Attendance: 300

Monday, Week 2, April 2008 CZCW Spring Break Bash Grissom Auditorium (South West, USA) Dark Match: Velocidad vs. The American Flash (F) Match 1: Air Attack Weasel vs. Insane Machine vs. Flying Jimmy Foxx vs. Mainstream Hernandez vs. Rod Remus vs. Remmy Skye Winner of this one gets a shot at the Xtreme Title on Sunday. Lots of near falls, but a Termination Kick on Mainstream gets the win for Insane in 14. (D) Match 2: Absolutely Fabulous vs. Jungle Cats vs. The Speed Show vs. Hip to be Square (Too Hot and K-Squared) Masked Cougar suffered some broken fingers while on tour in Japan, so his performance was hurt. However, they weren't hurt enough to lose the match, as they were able to survive and grab the #1 contendership to the tag titles. (D-) Match 3: Jacob Jett vs. Plague © (CZCW Xtreme Championship, Ladder Match) Not a bad match, the two have chemistry, which helps. Plague picks up the win, showing Jacob to the door. Thanks for the tour here. (D+) Match 4: Mikey James vs. Steve Flash Mikey tried his best, but it was not to be, as Steve pulled out the win in 12. (D+) Endless Potential come to the ring. They want to know who has accepted their open challenge tonight. Farrah Hekseth stands up from the announce booth and says she pulled a lot of strings to bring this team together. Her clients, the Tokyo Express, are here and ready to fight. The lights go out for a brief moment, and when they come back on, Ota and Narato are behind Fox and Infiniti and attack. (C-) Match 5: Endless Potential © vs. The Tokyo Express (CZCW Tag Team Championship) This match was a brawl that went all over the ringside area. Finally, the teams leave the ring and Fox Mask is counted out, when Narato makes it back in. (C-) The announcers talk about the main event between Jack Marlowe and Donnie J. Jack has been on a tear through the ranks of CZCW as of late, but Donnie J is still undefeated in 2008. Will tonight be the night the title changes? (D+) Main Event: Jack Marlowe vs. Donnie J © (CZCW Championship) The Donnie J formula works again tonight. Jack beats and beats, but Donnie finds a way to get up and hit the Death On Miami Beach for the win in 14. (C-) Overall: C- Attendance: 1411

Sunday, Week 2, April 2008 The Tide Is In Colorado Springs Bar (Mid South, USA) Match 1: Mikey James vs. Snap Dragon Decent opener. Mikey comes out of nowhere to beat Snap Dragon in 14 minutes. (D-) Match 2: Insane Machine vs. Plague © (CZCW Xtreme Championship, Ladder Match) At first glance, I wish this was the main event, but it'll be ok. I know it. Plague pulls out an impressive title defense in 24 minutes. (C-) Ultimate Phoenix drones on and on about his upcoming match with Ota. (D-) Match 3: Fumihiro Ota vs. Ultimate Phoenix These two don't click at all. I'm starting to get the feeling that Ota should be making Plague and the other Xtremers look good. Disappointing match. Ota wins in 15. (D) The announcers hype up the main event between Frankie Perez and Donnie J. They say Frankie too James Prudence to the limit a few months ago, will he be able to do the same to Donnie? (D+) Main Event: Frankie Perez vs. Donnie J Well, I didn't think that this would happen. Frankie did indeed take Donnie to the limit. In fact, these two pulled a great match out of their butts. Not the normal Donnie J formula, but back and forth wrestling, building to a crescendo where Donnie breaks out of the P-Clutch and hits the Death On Miami Beach in 14 for the win. (C) Overall: D+ Attendance: 300 “How'd we do Cliff?” “Well, we were rated a D+.” “D+! What were the ARSEHOLES watching?!?” “You should have flipped match two and three.” “How the hell did I know that Ota and Phoenix would go together like wet dog and cow manure?”
