Mr. McMahon seemed impressed, so far the candidate had ticked all the boxes but still one nagging point remained.....his age, he had not even reached his 30th birthday. Still the WWE was looking to rattle the cage, take some chances, upset the apple cart. Maybe this young man had what it takes to help the WWE back up the mountain? He was in the target demographic, but has no big time experience. His resume included booking some great cards, freelance booking for promotions in Australia, Canada, Mexico and the UK. His power-point presentation had well thought out storylines and ideas, not to mention suggesting some interesting signings. Mr. McMahon had all these thoughts and questions to ponder before deciding if he should sign this young man on as a booker. Vince: So how does one become a "freelance" booker? It is rather odd. Candidate: Well I started off as a wrestler, but I got a career ending injury working a match. Once I had recovered I was offered a position on the booking team and I accepted, after a while I then began to offer my services to other promotions to book free of charge so I could gain experience. Word spread via the internet and I was getting offers to fill in and book shows for a whole range of promotions. Vince: So you've booked a few shows that the internet seemed to like? Thats impressive, but as you know the internet only includes a small percentage of our fanbase. Candidate: I realise that Mr. McMahon, but as you saw in my presentation I have many ideas that will appeal to the mainstream and hopefully not alienate the "hardcore" fans. Both are keys to continued success and achieving the ratings that you desire. If my lack of experience is a problem for you I am happy to work down in FCW as a trial, sit in on a few meetings before starting or work with limited power. Vince: You really want this job? It isn't going to be easy, you'll have enemies from day one and if it gets out to the internet, they'll have a field day ripping into you. Candidate: With all due respect Mr. McMahon, I realise how people operate backstage and I know how internet "experts" like to criticise everything and then go on to bore people by writing how it "should" be done. I'm confident in my ability to handle all the negatives because I enjoy all the positives. Vince: I'm going to need time to think about this, go to the lunchroom and grab a coffee while I make my decision. Candidate: Sure thing Mr. McMahon. To be continued...

The first had to be abandoned when my laptop bit the dust and the second one was poorly timed as the release of TEW 08 was on the horizon. The starting date for the first show will be the June 30 Raw and I will be using a custom version of the T-Zone/Split Zone which I've updated. More backstory and updates will be posted in the lead up to Raw and I plan on using the real life results of the Night of Champions pay per view. -------------

Friday 27th of June 2008 Dear Diary, Wow, what a day! I am the new head booker for the WWE, soon if all goes well I'll be in charge of the whole creative process. The bad news is, due to my lack of "big time" experience I have to work with one of the biggest sycophants in the history of wrestling, that's not going to be fun. On the plus side Mr. McMahon has told me I can use the minds of Ric Flair and Paul Levesque (HHH) whom I respect. Not to mention working with guys like Dean Malenko, Arn Anderson and Dave Finlay who will all be adding their input. All in all I can't wait until Monday, but until then I've got alot of work to do planning and writing this weeks shows. - JCL - Before I forget, I'm surprised by the plans for Night of Champions as it kind of throws a spanner in the works of my plans for Raw. Still I never expected that this would be easy and it's going to be a challenge to arrest the slide. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Totalextremewrestling.com News Flash. After seeing the "Winds of Change" report on WWE.com we here at totalextremewrestling.com have had our spies inside the 'E work hard on finding out what this actually means. Our sources have told us that it has something to do with Stephanie McMahon's impending maternity leave that opens up a vacancy in the creative department. Vince has supposedly looked to recruit from outside the company, but no names on our radar have been in for a meeting at WWE HQ and the top brass have done unusually well in keeping all details a secret. In other news from WWE.com it has been announced that the company is in negotiations with several wrestlers with a view to adding to the developmental roster at FCW. We have learnt that the list includes names like: Austin Aries, Low Ki, Jimmy Jacobs and Brent Albright. WWE have also been in negotiations with CMLL and ROH in regards to a working agreement which could see workers go back and forth between promotions. This all seems to fit in with the rumour of a new power within the WWE creative team. - Tommy C ----

During the WWE Draft special last week, WWE Champion Triple H was drafted to SmackDown, taking his title with him. On Sunday night, John Cena had a chance to bring the title back to Raw, but was unable to defeat The Game. Similarly, Batista attempted to win Edge’s World Heavyweight Championship, but couldn’t come out on top against the Rated "R" Superstar. The one World Title that Raw did hold going into Night of Champions was Kane’s ECW Championship, but in a Triple Threat Match against Mark Henry and Big Show, the Big Red Machine lost the gold to the World’s Strongest Man, who will take the championship back to Tuesday nights with him. How will Raw's top superstars respond? "HBK" Shawn Michaels cost Chris Jericho his Intercontinental Championship last night allowing surprise contender Kofi Kingston to claim his first WWE gold. Will Y2J win the title back in his first rematch, will Kofi retain or will HBK cost Jericho again? Still on the Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho saga, Lance Cade will face an opponent hand picked by HBK. Who will it be? Will Michaels or Jericho get involved? The Night of Champions lowlight came during the World Tag Team Championship Match. Cody Rhodes decided to turn his back on mentor Hardcore Holly and side with the debuting Ted Dibiase jr. How will Holly respond to Rhodes' decision to turn his back on him? After last weeks bizarre accident the status of Mr. McMahon is still unknown. It has been announced that the McMahon family will give a statement on the Chairman's condition. For the answers to all these questions and more, make sure to tune into Monday Night Raw at 9/8 CT only on USA Network. Monday Night Raw starts off with highlights of last weeks draft including JR and Triple H's moves to Smackdown and Batista and CM Punk coming to Raw. The highlights then move on to last nights Pay Per View: Night of Champions. The video payed particular attention to Kofi Kingston's HBK assisted win over Chris Jericho, Kane losing the ECW Title to Mark Henry, the World Championship match ups between Triple H & John Cena for the WWE Title and the antics that robbed Batista of the chance to become World Heavyweight Champion. Michael Cole: Welcome ladies and gentleman, to the show that's changing Monday Night's WWE Raw! I’m Michael Cole here with my Hall of Fame partner Jerry “The King” Lawler. Jerry “The King” Lawler: Thanks Michael, great to be here with you! How great was Night of Champions? Cole: Your right King, what a massive night we had this past Sunday at Night of Champions. Kofi Kingston is the new Intercontinental Champion, Mickie James defended her Womens Championship, and Cody Rhodes turned his back on Hardcore Holly. The only thing I didn't like about last night is the fact that Raw does not have a World Champion! King: That's right Cole, Raw feels naked without a World Champion! The commentary is cut off by the music of John Cena who makes his way straight to the ring without posing. The fans as always give him a mixed reaction, as Michael Cole puts over his efforts last night. Cena: Last night I tried to win the WWE Title from Triple H, I gave it my all but I failed. **half the crowd cheer** I feel like I let the Raw fans down, so I spent today thinking about the best way to make it up to them and then it hit me. The best I can do is stand back up, dust myself off and bring the Title back to RAW! This Friday night, I'm going to head to Smackdown and challenge Triple H for the WWE Title, Raw needs a Champ and who better than me... As if on queue the music of "The Animal" Batista plays and the big man makes his way to the ring mic in hand as Michael Cole whines about Edge's tactics last night. Batista: John, man I like you but I think that it's clear that I should be the one who goes to Smackdown but instead of facing Triple H, I'll be facing Edge for the World Heavyweight Title. Cena: Dave, I don't want to start a fight or get on your bad side but as long as Edge is engaged to the Smackdown General Manager and has so many lackeys, I think it's near impossible you to get a fair shot. I haven't finished with the WWE Title, Aitch and me still need a rubber match cause the series is tied one all and I gotta say I like my chances of hitting the winning homer and taking back whats rightfully mine...the WWE Title! ** sections of the crowd boo** Batista: No disrespect, John. I was screwed out of whats rightfully mine, I didn't lose straight up like you. I had my dream taken away from me by a dodgy referee and a master opportunist or should I say a master cheat. Cena: Well Dave... Cena is interrupted by the music of John "Bradshaw" Layfield, who enters the arena via the Longhorn Limo. JBL then exits the limo and raises his microphone to his mouth. JBL: Guys, I hate to interrupt your little losers club meeting, but I think your both missing the point. The point is....you both lost, you both failed and neither of you deserve a rematch. If anybody should show up on Smackdown Friday and get a title shot, it should be me. I should be the one to bring Raw it's Champion and you know why? It's because I'm a winner, I'm a winner in business, I'm a winner in the ring and I'm a winner in life. Hell, I'll even be a winner in death I'm that great! Batista: Your a winner are you JBL? When was the last time you were even WWE Champion? When was the last time you had any Title, huh John? Cena: Dave, your being harsh on the guy. Isn't he a 'Rassin Gaawwwwwdd! Everybody raves about his skills, just last week I think I heard Pat Patterson say that your the greatest bedroom wrestler that he's ever seen! JBL: Hey, you give me some damn respect before I beat it out of you! Batista: Go ahead, I'd like to see you try! **Holding the ring ropes down, and motioning for JBL to step in the ring** Cena: Dave, I've got a better idea. Let JBL find a tag team partner, and we can beat them 2 on 2, rather than give Mr. Moneybags an excuse for losing. **Batista nods in agreement** JBL: You two want to face me? Fine, I had a feeling that this would happen, and like any great winner I planned ahead. Tonight it will be the two of you versus me and ECW's John Morrison! Cole: Oh my! What a main event we going to have, John Cena and "The Animal" Batista vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield and John Morrison. King: I can't wait! Like JR would say it's going to be a bonified slobber-knocker! Break As we come back from the break the new World Tag Team Champions Ted Dibiasie Jr and Cody Rhodes are in the ring. Rhodes: Before my match with Hardcore Holly, I just want to take the time to give the reasons behind siding with Ted Jr. The reason is simple, Ted Dibiasie Jr simply gave me the better offer, he gave me what I needed: A talented, young, world class tag team partner, not a crappy, ageing, mediocre tag team partner who used my talents to get one last championship run. Dibiase Jr: That's right Cody, you were wise to side with me. You and I are alike in many ways, we're both young, talented and most importantly we are both.....priceless! It seems Hardcore Holly has heard enough, his music hits and he comes down to the ring and wastes no time getting in Rhodes' face Dibiasie Jr: Hold up there Bobby boy. Before you start your match up against my tag partner, I just want to let you know, as a sign of goodwill I will not get involved in this match. I'm going to head for the back and let you have a fair match. With those words Ted Dibiase Jr drops the microphone and exits the ring, before making his way to the back Hardcore Holly vs. Cody Rhodes This match starts off with Holly going after some revenge on Cody Rhodes, hitting the youngster with some stiff left and right shots. However after last night Hardcore wasn't 100% and soon Rhodes was able to take advantage with some well placed kicks and holds. Holly was in trouble for most of the match before Rhodes got too c0cky and allowed the veteran to get some offence, brawling his way back into the match. Soon the crowd starts to boo loudly and it's not long before Holly realises why, Ted Dibiasie Jr is headed back towards ringside. Cody Rhodes looks to surprise Hardcore with a roll up, 1...2...kick out! The match didn't last much longer though as Rhodes soon put Holly away with a Flowing Snap DDT. Your Winner: Cody Rhodes Match Duration: 8:20 Match Rating: C+ The match is over, and Cody Rhodes is celebrating. Hardcore Holly looks angry, and jumps him from behind, beating Rhodes down. It's not long before Ted Dibiasie Jr makes the save though and the numbers game takes it's toll. The beatdown is interrupted by the music of the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiasie, who appears on the entrance ramp. Ted Sr: It sure does make a father proud that his son chooses to follow in his footsteps. When Ted Jr decided to become a wrestler it was the proudest moment of my life, up until last night. When you outsmarted everybody to get your hands on the World Tag Team titles, it was priceless. It lived up to my expectations of your debut and it just reminded the whole world that everybody's got a price and a million dollar man always gets his way! Cole: I can't believe that Ted Dibiasie Sr condones his sons actions. King: Did you ever see the Million Dollar Man in his heyday? Ted Sr: What everybody saw here tonight was just the very start of the Dibiasie master plan, as the new Money Inc outsmarted you all and put that has been Hardcore Holly in his place. Break A video plays highlighting the recent tension between, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho also noting that former HBK student Lance Cade has gotten involved. The video ends with footage of the Night match between Y2J and Kofi Kingston in which HBK cost Jericho his Intercontinental Championship. Lance Cade makes his way down to the ring, tonight he has a match against an opponent hand picked by Shawn Michaels. Cole and Lawler put over Cade's recent actions and the fact that he turned on his former tag partner Trevor Murdoch. Cade: Tonight, I have to face an opponent hand picked by the lying rat Shawn Michaels. He doesn't have the guts to face one of his own students, instead he sends out a jobber to be crushed by his star graduate how pathetic. The music of Lance Cade's opponent plays, it's Paul London another HBK student. As London makes his way to the ring, the commentary team point out this fact and also note that Cade doesn't seem as c0cky now. Lance Cade vs. Paul London This match between two former HBK students looked good on paper, but was even better in reality. The clash of styles between Cade’s brawling and London’s High Octane offence, surprisingly made for great chemistry. Cade got the advantage first courtesy of his brawling, before he moved on to hit a few power moves: Clothesline, Big boot, Power Slam and a neck breaker before going for a rest hold in the form of a sleeper hold. After London fought out of the sleeper, Cade threw him into the turnbuckle a went for a splash….but Paul London moved and Lance Cade ate turnbuckle. This was the turning point in the match up with London beginning to fly around the ring, keeping Cade off balance…Arm Drag, Drop Kick, Hurricanrana and a flying press slam. This made the crowd get behind London who sensed it might be time to close out the match with a 450 splash. Cade however had other ideas and was able to roll out of the way, then hitting a desperation clothesline, one...two...thr.. NO! Cade thought he had the match won but London kicked out, after that the two went back and forth before Cade got a quick roll up and placed his feet on the ropes 1...2...3. Lance Cade steals the victory. Your Winner: Lance Cade Match Duration: 8:27 Match Rating: C+ After the match ends, Cade decides that London must pay for not giving him the easy match up that he had expected. Cade hits a jacknife powerbomb on London before going to ringside and getting a chair before he can use it.... Shawn Michaels music plays and HBK runs down to the ring...#BANG# Sweet Chin Music on Cade! Michaels stomps Lance Cade until he rolls out of the ring before going over to check on London as Raw goes to the break. Break Raw comes back from the break to the music of Jim Ross, who makes his way out to the ring in his hometown of Oklahoma City. The crowd pops huge for the Hall of Fame announcer as he prepares to give his Raw farewell speech JR: **emotional** Thank you for such a great ovation, it's always great to be back home. **Huge pop** You know I've been the Raw announcer for such a long time and I'm going to miss being here on Monday nights. Still, I'm looking forward to starting my new journey on Smackdown and I hope that you'll all join me on Friday nights. There are a few people I want to thank, firstly my broadcast colleague for so many years Jerry "The King" Lawler. You've made coming to work enjoyable and I'm proud to call you my friend. I want to thank the fans who have always been behind me, especially here in Oklahoma City. I'd like to say good luck to Michael Cole, who will be great here on Raw and I'll see you all on Friday nights! Next up is a video of last nights Womens Championship match between Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill, before going to the commentary table where Michael Cole explains this next match up was requested by both women. Paul & Katie Lea Burchill vs. CM Punk & Mickie James Katie Lea and Mickie James start off the match, with James gaining the upper hand by using a few technical moves. Side Russian Legsweep, Snap Suplex and an impressive top rope splash by Mickie before she tags in CM Punk, which means that Paul Burchill has to tag in. Punk is quickly out muscled by Burchill who turns this match in his teams favour. Paul Burchill is able to hit a Power Slam, Gutbuster, and an STO on Punk, then like a good heel he pulls Mickie over the ropes into the ring before tagging in Katie Lea. A few moments later and Katie Lea was able to put Mickie in a Boston Crab to gain control, before hitting the DDT and going for the pin 1...2...Kick Out! Katie Lea then tags Paul back in and it's the mens turn again, but unlike the last time CM Punk is able to get the better of Burchill. Punk gets the crowd behind him with a rally that included an arm drag, bulldog and his trademark running knee. Burchill was able to gain momentary control with a short arm clothesline and sends Punk towards the ropes with an Irish whip. Punk is able to duck under a clothesline on the rebound hit Burchill with a kick to the guts, Punk then sets him up for the Go to Sleep and...HITS IT!! 1...2...3! CM Punk and Mickie James get the big win. Your Winners: CM Punk & Mickie James Match Duration: 7:32 Match Rating: D+ Break It looks like RNN is back and it's time for a special Orton injury update Orton: I just wanted to update everyone on the progress of my recovery and also warn the rest of the Raw roster that when I come back the age of Orton will resume. See if I was facing Triple H for the WWE Title last night, Raw would of had a champion. I would not of failed like John Cena or Batista, who both put in pathetic performances. Anyway, according to my doctor I will be fit enough to return in around 42 days just in time for Summerslam. At that Pay Per View I will challenging whoever is World Champion and if Raw still doesn't have a championship then I will be challenging Triple H! A video is played recapping the match between Chris Jericho and Kofi Kingston last night, showing how HBK cost Jericho his title. It also reminds us of the match between Lance Cade and Paul London when HBK saved London from a post match attack. Chris Jericho's music plays and Y2J comes down to the ring, before his rematch however he wants to say a few words Y2J: Last night I was screwed out of the Intercontinental Championship by Shawn Michaels, who surprise, surprise didn't get booed. If that was me and I cost HBK the title you fans would try and boo me out of the building! Then tonight Michaels turned up and Superkicked Lance Cade, when he wasn't even supposed to be here! That's not the first time that Michaels has turned up when he wasn't wanted, the Has Been Kid has done this three times! I have been promised that HBK will not get involved in my match, but I'm sure he'll break that promise and try and hit the Sweet Chin Music on me. Now for me to win back my Intercontinental Championship. When Kofi is able to quicken the pace, Jericho looks in trouble, DDT, Snap Suplex and a Tornado DDT all connect for the Jamaican. Jericho however is a veteran and and uses a rake of the eyes to gain control, then slows the match down with a few holds. Y2J begins to dominate until: Cole: Jericho in control now, working on the lower back of Kingston. King: Setting him up for the Walls of Jericho. Cole: Looks like you're right King, Jericho putting Kingston in the Walls of Jericho! King: Wow, I think Jericho IS going to win back his Intercontinental Championship! Cole: But what's this! The camera moves to show Shawn Michaels running down the entrance ramp. Jericho sees him and releases the hold After a brief stand off, HBK decides to go for the Sweet Chin Music then stops and turns towards Kofi Kingston who has just risen to his feet. Your Winner: Chris Jericho by DQ Match Duration: 8:55 Match Rating: B Jericho is livid, he charges at Michaels, it's a brawl! The two men exchange punches with the action spilling outside the ring and continuing all the way up to the back, where Y2J raked HBK's already injured eyes. Cole: Jericho raking the already injured eyes, how despicable. King: It looks like it's going to get worse! King is right, it does get worse for Michaels as Jericho rams his head into the wall leaving HBK rolling around holding his face. Jericho: How's that Michaels? You cost me the title again and I got revenge! If you've got any guts you'll face me at the Great American Bash! Break After Raw comes back, Shane McMahon is in the ring about to give a statement on Vince's health. Vince is on the road to recovery, but we do not want to give out specifics and ask that all of the WWE fans continue to respect my fathers privacy at this time. Thank You. On an entirely different note, I am extremely disappointed with some of the wrestlers behaviour tonight. If this is how people are going to react without an authority figure then we will have to bring in an interim general manager. So next week, I will announce at the beginning of Raw who will be the interim general manager of Raw. JBL: Hey, you give me some damn respect before I beat it out of you! Batista: Go ahead, I'd like to see you try! **Holding the ring ropes down, and motioning for JBL to step in the ring** Cena: Dave, I've got a better idea. Fine, I had a feeling that this would happen and like any great winner I planned ahead. Tonight it will be the two of you versus me and ECW's John Morrison! Cole: Oh my! The Cena/Batista combination worked well, JBL was solid and John Morrison performed above expectations. The heels employ good Tag Team wrestling by isolating Cena and making regular tags. Cena shows guts by kicking out of a one man snapshot and then a sick looking neckbreaker. When Batista finally got tagged in the crowd went nuts, The Animal went straight after John Morrison, and hit the spinebuster on the Shaman of Extreme. Batista continues to dominate until a cheap desperation low blow by JBL allows for a tag to Morrison. The Shaman of Extreme then signals for the end and sets Batista up for the Corkscrew Neckbreaker…1...2..John Cena breaks up the three count! JBL then comes in to stop Cena…FU! Then Morrison comes at Cena ...but the referee gets to the Doctor of Thuganomics first and orders him to leave the ring. After Batista was able to tag in Cena the going got tough for the Layfield/Morrison team, and JBL decided that he was done, abandoning Morrison in the ring and allowing Cena to hit the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and make the cover. However instead of counting the referee told Cena to get out of the ring, telling him that Batista had made the sneaky tag during the 5 knuckle Shuffle. The Animal then picked up Morrison and hit the Batista Bomb 1...2...3. Your Winners: Batista & John Cena Match Duration: 10:21 Match Rating: B- Before Cena could ask "The Animal" why he'd decided to tag himself in the music of Edge hits, which distracts both Batista and Cena who ready themselves for a fight. Back onto the subject of General Managers, my fiance, the lovely Ms Vickie Guerrero has barred anybody from Raw from setting foot in the arena this Friday night, so you can forget trying to challenge Triple H or Myself for a World Title. Cole: That's just typical of Edge, why does he have to turn up on Raw? King: He wants to make sure that Raw is kept Titleless. I’m Mike Adamle, along side one of the greatest great colour men in the biz: Tazz! Tazz: Thanks Mike, what a rocket buster we had last night at Night of Champions, and what a great show we have tonight. Adamle: Yes Tazz, and what about our NEW ECW champion Mark Henry! The World's Strongest Man is going to be tough to beat. Tazz: No doubt, No doubt Mike. Suddenly, the cameras go backstage to see Finlay beating the hell out of John Morrison, trying to get some revenge for last night. Finlay sends Morrison into the wall, then into a door that sends him into the catering room. The Irishman ends his attack by suplexing Morrison through a snack table. Tazz: Wow, Finlay beats the tar out of Morrison! This match started with Finlay dominating early by brawling his way to control, before slowing the match down with a few holds. The Miz gained a bit of control after raking Finlay's eyes before hitting a running bulldog, followed by a DDT. The Miz was able to hit a few more moves before Finlay was able to fight back. This made Miz grab Finlay’s shillelagh and went to swing at the fighting Irishman, but the referee intervened and went to get rid of the weapon. With the ref distracted, Hornswoggle (with a bandaged body) comes from under the ring and hits The Miz with a low blow before running back under the ring! Finlay then takes advantage by hitting a sidewalk slam before the fighting Irishman hit the Celtic Cross for the 1...2...3. Dreamer: This weekend I didn't have anything to do, so I was watching some old ECW tapes and it made me feel sick. No, it wasn't watching the tapes that made me sick it was realising what ECW has become.....a bastardised version of the WWE. A place to train their rookies before sending them on to the bigger brands if they are successful. ECW has become a place where Hardcore is about as foreign as Armando Estrada's accent, on top of that only three other ECW originals still wrestle here....which brings me to you **Dreamer points at Mike Adamle**. Tazz: Looks like your in trouble Mike! Adamle: What did I do? Dreamer: Every time I watch ECW, whether on tape or on a monitor in the back, I have to listen to a man who has no clue about wrestling and single handedly ruins the broadcasts. Adamle: That's a bit unfair. Dreamer: Mike, I'd like you to come into the ring and defend yourself here. Don't be shy, grab a mic and come up here. Although hesitant at first Adamle complies with Dreamer walking into the ring. Dreamer: I have to say that I don't personally hold it against you, but you are everything that is wrong with the current ECW. Adamle: What? How can you say that? Dreamer: How can I say that? Easy, you replaced the voice of ECW, taking away one of the last remaining pieces of the original crew. You are Vince McMahon's lackey, a WWE man through and through and he placed you in his WWE-CW. Adamle: I'm just doing my job. Dreamer: **Mocking Adamle** "I'm just doing my job". You may be doing your job but... Dreamer drops his mic and smacks Adamle over the head with the Singapore cane, before hitting him a few more times. Tommy then picks his microphone back up. Dreamer: ... and I'm just doing mine. Tazz: Wow, Dreamer smacking the hell out of my broadcast partner, I didn't see that happening. I guess I could've tried to stop it but I love Tommy. Break On returning from the break, Armando Estrada is in the ring waiting for his opponent. A video plays showing events that happened before the show between Estrada and ECW GM Theodore Long. Long: Now I'm a fair man Estrada, I know you still want a contract to wrestle and I'm going to give you another chance. Tonight you'll face one of our new ECW superstars: Super Crazy Estrada: No problem, I can beat anybody on ECW Teddy. Even Super Loco. Long: If you could beat anybody on ECW you'd have an contract by now playa. Let me put it this way to ya Armando, I'm going to be starting a new talent drive next week, so your running out of chances. Estrada leaves Mr. Long's office swearing in Spanish under his breath. The camera then focuses on the announcers desk where we see Joey Styles is back behind the desk, filling in for Mike Adamle. Styles: Hi everybody, as you know I'm Joey Styles filling in for an injured Mike Adamle. You know I don't condone what Tommy Dreamer did and it's unfortunate that Mike Adamle had to be injured but I kinda agree with him. Tazz: I know you do Joey and what a coincidence that you were in the building. Styles: What are you trying to say Tazz? The Crazy One uses his high flying arsenal to keep Estrada on the back foot in the early part of the match. It takes a long two count from a tornado DDT to force the former GM to pick up his game. Estrada uses some dirty tactics to get back into the match before using a DDT to gain control of the contest. The Cuban Estrada begins to get c0cky, stomping Super Crazy and taunting him before turning to taunt the crowd. Feeling totally in control Estrada then lifts Crazy back up to his feet and attempts a suplex....but somehow the Insane Luchadore is able to counter with a roll up 1..2..Kick out! Before Estrada is able to get up he is hit by a standing Moonsault, followed up by the Crazy Bomb 1...2...3! Estrada doesn't get a contract this week, maybe he'd have better luck on Smackdown? Finally after tipping over some chairs and searching through a few bags he finds what he is looking for...a set of car keys. Hornswoggle lets out a chuckle before racing out of the room. The camera then focuses on the names on the locker room door: John Morrison & The Miz! A video then plays featuring highlights of the previous Sunday nights pay per view match ups for the ECW Title and the United States Title before displaying a graphic for tonight's Main Event: Mark Henry & Chavo Guerrero vs. Big Show & Matt Hardy! The new ECW Champion Mark Henry is the first man out to the ring, but he has something to say before the match: Henry: Time to bow to the NEW ECW champion! Chavo however is able to tag in Mark Henry and the champ begins to go to work on Hardy, using brute strength to gain control of the match up. For the next couple of minutes the team of Chavo & Henry used good tag team wrestling, cutting the ring in half and wearing out Hardy's resistance. All this time the Big Show was on the ring apron getting angrier and angrier before deciding to take matters into his own hands: Styles: Big Show looks p#ssed Tazz, it seems like he is about to go after Chavo Guerrero's bodyguard Bam Neely! Styles is right as Big Show takes out Neely with a huge clothesline, before pulling Chavo off the ring apron and giving him a clothesline. Tazz: Wow, Show's beginning to lay waste to everybody Joey! Big Show moves his attention to the ring, where Matt Hardy is on a bit of a comeback, amazingly hitting the side effect on Mark Henry. Styles: Big Show now getting into the ring. Wait a minute... Tazz: Show's grabbed Matt Hardy by the throat! Styles: Chokeslam! Big Show has just hit the Showstopper on Matt Hardy! After Big Show had chokeslammed his own tag partner the referee called for the bell, throwing the match out. It was a wise decision as chaos descended on the ring with Chavo and Bam trying to get revenge on the Big Show before being thrown over the top rope by the giant. Big Show and Mark Henry then began to trade punches as Tommy Dreamer ran down to the ring, chair in hand. #CRACK# Dreamer smashes Big Show, before giving Mark Henry the same treatment. Big Show however isn't put down by the chairshot and after shaking the cobwebs grabs Dreamer by the neck and gives him the Showstopper as ECW goes off the air with Joey Styles' iconic "Oh my God" the last thing we hear. Well, a pretty good show, but it isn't good, that you use the same ideas WWE used lately. Example, the Mark Henry promo, where he tells he is the saviour of the brand, didn't he just say the same thing a week ago in ECW on Sci-Fi? Well, it still is pretty interesting, and I love, that Mike Adamle got his ass kicked. Im following what happens.

However all is not well for Edge on Smackdown as tension mounts between the Rated R Superstar and "The Game" Triple H. Is Smackdown big enough for two World champions? Will Raw try to strike back despite being banned from the arena? Two champions means two #1 contenders, with Mr. Kennedy, Umaga, MVP and Jeff Hardy all viable contenders a World or WWE Title shot. In my dynasty I didn't sack all of the creative department, I just took over the head booking duties. So it's believable that some similar ideas would be suggested. I understand why you feel that way but I will keep some aspects similar to how the 'E runs things. ---------------------------------------------- Currently my life has become busier, with a new job and other outside commitments giving me less free time. I feel that I have to make a few changes to my dynasty to post shows more frequently as I feel that an 10+ day gap between posting Raw and posting Smackdown is too much. Therefore I will be making a few changes to the way my shows are written up. I will be shortening match write ups and I'll try and focus on the angles and storyline aspect more, which I feel will allow me to post regular shows and still provide a good dynasty. I encourage people to comment and leave thoughts as my reader's views are important. Thanks.

Smackdown started with highlights of the Night of Champions focusing on Triple H and Edge retaining their titles. The video ends with a recap of Edge's comments at the end of Raw:
Edge: Feeling good about your victory guys? Pity neither of you could win last night, and it's a damn shame that your failure has cost Raw a World Champion. It's not a great advertisement for the "A" show is it? Come and watch Raw, the show with no Champion, no General Manager and no hope for the future!
Smackdown then begins it's opening video before heading to the commentary desk. Jim Ross: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Friday Night Smackdown! I'm Jim Ross here with my commentary partner the "Hardcore Legend" Mick Foley. What a night we had last Sunday at Night of Champions, with Triple H and Edge retaining their championships. It's all looking good for Smackdown heading towards the Great American Bash. Mick Foley: That's right JR, Smackdown sure is becoming the dominant force in wrestling today. Not only that it's the 4th of July! What a great day to be here in Tulsa, Oklahoma! JR: Sure is Mick, Happy Fourth of July to all our great fans because... "You think you know me....On this day, I see clearly" JR is interrupted by the music of Edge as the Rated "R" Superstar walks down to the ring, microphone in hand and the World Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. Edge: It feels so go to come to work today! Batista is gone, The Undertaker is gone and I'm still standing here with the World Heavyweight Title in my possession. I am the number one reason that people tune in to Smackdown every Friday night **Crowd Boos** Oh you can boo me all you like, it doesn't change the fact that I'm right, nobody else on Smackdown is worth wasting the time for. I don't even know who I'm going to face at the Great American Bash because I don't think anybody even deserves a shot **The crowd begins to chant for Triple H, which annoys Edge** Triple H! He hasn't been on Smackdown long enough to have a shot at me! **Edge shows an evil smile** Besides our great General Manager Vickie Guerrero already has a more suitable opponent in mind for Triple H to face at the Great American Bash. JR: It's quite clear to me that Edge has no intention of being a fighting champion. Instead he prefers to use his "connections" to make life as easy as possible for himself. Foley: Not only that it seems that Edge is selling everybody else on Smackdown short, especially Triple H. Edge continues: Tonight I don't currently have a match, so I was thinking of facing Shan.. "Miiiiiiissssssttttteeeeerrrrrrr Kennedy!..........Kennedy!" Edge looks p#ssed as he is interrupted by the music of Mr. Kennedy who is standing on the entrance ramp Mr. Kennedy: So there is nobody left to face on Smackdown hey? I only just got here, how about facing me? Edge: I already beat you, remember how you lost your Money in the Bank title shot? and besides you've only just come back to Smackdown, you haven't payed your dues here yet. Mr. Kennedy: I remember how I lost, you took advantage of an injured Mr. Kennedy and that proves nothing. In regards to the crap about paying dues, I don't think you need to pay dues everytime you change brands. Guys like Umaga, Triple H, Jeff Hardy and myself should already have enough credits in the bank, we've earned our shot. Edge: You know something, your right about that, you have earned a shot but I'm just not going to give it to you! Mr. Kennedy: You won't give me a shot? Fine, I'll take my shot then. Mr. Kennedy drops the mic and makes his way to the ring with purpose, Edge however has no intention of getting into a fight and begins to hightail it out of the ring and cowardly escapes through the crowd. Break Victoria vs. Maria A diva's match starts off Smackdown this week with an improving Maria making her Smackdown "debut" against one of the best Smackdown has to offer: Victoria. Maria is able to start off well and hitting a few moves on the former Womens champion. Victoria however has no plans on losing to somebody like Maria, beginning to step up a gear halfway through before totally dominating. A Widow's Peak ends the match after 7:41. Your Winner: Victoria Match Rating: D+ The cameras take us to the General Managers office where Triple H is in conversation with Vickie Guerrero. Vickie: I do but I'm not going to tell you yet as I'm just finalising discussions with Shane McMahon to get the all clear. Triple H: Look Vickie I'm going to tell you who I would like to face at the Pay Per View. I want to face Edge, that would give the fans what they want and it would prove who the undisputed champion is. Vickie: Who cares what the fans want! You don't deserve to face Edge, you haven't proven anything on Smackdown. In fact to prove you even deserve to be on Smackdown I'm putting you in a match right now against Shelton Benjamin...and it will be for the WWE Title! Triple H: You want me to prove something? I'll show you why I'm called the "King of Kings" and when I've beaten Benjamin, I'll be coming back to demand a match against Edge. Triple H turns and leaves the office, slamming the door behind him as Vickie Guerrero looks very annoyed and worried. Break Triple H vs. Shelton Benjamin Triple H came out breathing fire and dominated early on, Benjamin however didn't lay down for The Game and was able to get some offence after a sneaky low blow. Shelton was impressive in the middle of the match getting a two count from a T-Bone Suplex and having Triple H in trouble with a nice looking Boston Crab. The Game had a point to prove and would not be denied fighting his was back into the match, setting up the finish by hitting the Spinebuster followed by the Pedigree for the 1...2...3 after 7:55 Your Winner: Triple H Match Rating: B- After the match Triple H posed with the WWE Title, before grabbing a microphone. Triple H: Have I done enough to get a shot at Unifying the World titles? The Game drops the microphone and walks over to Shelton and giving him another Pedigree for good measure, before picking up the microphone again. Triple H: How about now? That good enough for you? If it's not Edge better watch his back from now on because he's on my hit list. Break Back from the break JR tells us that he has just been informed about two huge matches for later tonight: MVP & Umaga vs. Jeff Hardy & Big Show and the Main Event: Edge vs. Mr. Kennedy in a non title match. Domino vs. Trevor Murdoch These two former tag team wrestlers went at it with a point to prove, Murdoch had been embarrassed by his former tag partner Lance Cade and Domino has been on a losing streak of late. This match was a slug fest with the two brawling for most of the match, which may have bored the crowd as they seemingly weren't into the match. Towards the end of the match Domino began to take control and looked like he was going to win the match before a loss of concentration cost him allowing Murdoch to hit a Spike Piledriver for the win in 7:54 Your Winner: Trevor Murdoch Match Rating: D+ After the match as Trevor Murdoch was celebrating, he gets jumped from behind by the sore loser Domino. After a short beatdown he goes for an inverted suplex before hitting Murdoch with the Crack 'em in the mouth. Jim Ross and Mick Foley then talked about the questionable decision to team up Big Show & Jeff Hardy given the events of ECW when Big Show attacked his tag team partner and Jeff's brother Matt Hardy.
Big Show however isn't put down by the chairshot and after shaking the cobwebs grabs Dreamer by the neck and gives him the Showstopper.
Break After the break we have a brief segment with Layla, Eve and Kelly dancing in honour of the Fourth of July with all of the Diva's in Red, White and Blue. Brian Kendrick was impressive early on but Carlito didn't seem on his game, botching a couple of spots before improving slightly as the match wore on. The last part of the match was the most exciting part with a few high flying, high tempo moves from both wrestlers before Carlito got the win with the Back-Stabber after 7:46 Your Winner: Carlito Match Rating: D+ Up next we had Eve Torres interviewing Jeff Hardy. However it wasn't much of an interview, with Torres unable to ask a question before the Big Show appeared: Show: Hey Jeff, I just want to say that you can trust me tonight. I know on Tuesday night a gave Matt the Showstopper but that was a brain-freeze, I was angry and regret my actions. Jeff: I can understand that Show, but don't try giving me the Showstopper tonight because I have no fear and I will take you out with a Twist of Fate if I need to. Before Big Show can reply, Hardy walks off leaving Show looking surprised at the response. Break Umaga & MVP vs. Big Show & Jeff Hardy This match looked good on paper but was better in reality as the two big men went at it first trading power moves with impressive strength on show. When MVP and Hardy went at it the crowd enjoyed the mix of brawling and high tempo styles which made it an even contest all the way through. MVP hit an STO facebuster but Chavo got a hand to the ropes and when Jeff Hardy hit an Inverted DDT MVP was able to get a boot onto the ropes. The ending came when Big Show was in the ring against MVP, with Show powering out of an attempted Playmaker and hitting the Showstopper on the Franchise Player while Jeff Hardy hit a Plancha on Umaga, outside allowing for an easy 1...2...3 in 10:01. Result: Big Show & Jeff Hardy Rating: B+ Break After the break Edge was in the ring ready for his match against Mr. Kennedy, as always he was flanked by Ryder & Hawkins. I'm worried the same thing is going to happen regarding the Great American Bash, I'm sure that Vickie will be pressured to ensure that the Neanderthal look-alike Triple H gets his way. That's not fair on me, I earned this belt and I'll be damned if anybody is going to take it away from me by pressuring the Board of Directors. JR: It looks to me like Edge has a fear of competition. The crowd begins to cheer loudly as the music of Mr. Kennedy plays and he makes his way to the ring. Edge vs. Mr. Kennedy This match started out as a brawl with both men trading punches, but Edge ran out of the ring once Kennedy got control. After following Edge out of the ring Kennedy was hit with a running clothesline from Ryder while Hawkins had the referee distracted. Edge gained the advantage via the interference and began to work on weakening Kennedy's midsection, in preparation for the spear. Suddenly the referee was distracted again by Hawkins and Ryder who had spotted somebody running down to the ring. JR: Bah Gawd it's Batista! Batista is running down to the ring. Foley: I thought Raw superstars were banned from the building? JR: I don't think The Animal cares! Edge doesn't see Batista until it's too late and gets hit with a massive spear! Batista then quickly rolls out of the ring as the referee turns around to see Mr. Kennedy hit the Kenton Bomb 1...2...3! Ken Kennedy gets the win in 9:59 after the assist from Batista. Your Winner: Mr. Kennedy Match Rating: B Post match Batista went back into the ring to get more revenge on Edge but first The Animal had to take care of Hawkins & Ryder.
