What are diaries for?

Recommended Posts

They are for 1. Getting more emotionally involved in your game and your gameworld 2. Sharing your writing and booking 'brilliance' with others. 3. Soliciting the praise and approval of your peers. 4. Providing a forum for your frustrations when you don't get the praise and approval. ;) 5. Becoming part of the community, and if you are really good or really popular, in some minute ways, influencing the future of the game and the cornellverse. 6. Because the next really good game hasn't come out yet to suck up your time, so you have nothing better to do than haunt these boards, and since you are here, you might as well write a diary. :p 1 and 2 are the most important reasons for me, although the others do surface occasionally. :D

And really, it's mostly about number 1 for me. I have trouble sticking with a game, if I don't spend some time writing bits and pieces about the characters.
Why is the only person posting on my dynasty my girlfriend?
You know nobody with a girlfriend has time to write a diary and nobody that takes the time to write a diary could get a girlfriend. So um, be sure to check out my diary, yeah, I think I'll go cry now

Sure I'm single, but plenty of people here have girlfriends, or are married even! And still have time to make mods, write diaries, and play Mafiascum. I have to agree with DWW about becomingmore involved with the game. Before taking over the GDMMA diary, I wasn't really into playing WMMA much, now I love seeing what happens with the roster. Having it interactive helps a lot, too :)

I've been in a relationship for a while now. It's on-y, off-y, but still a healthy relationship. And yes, she is 95% of the comments on my dynasty. That's true love, pretending to give a **** about something you have no idea about because it makes the other one happy :).
my girlfriend proof reads my diary, so she knows what happens before you guys, and tells me what sucks, lol
Mine chips in booking ideas..... OK, she actually thinks it's dumb, but I respect her scrapbooking and she respects my diaries......everything else we do together :)

I thought it'd be an awesome storyline, but decided to go TCW instead.

I'm doing a diary for the sole reason, that I want to get immersed in my game, and everytime I try to share my great booking ideas with my friends or family, well, I think you all know how well that works...
My wife doesn't know that I spend the majority of my time playing this game. She thinks I have an internet porn problem.
I'd probably be less ashamed of a porn addiction. There's something un-nerving about a guy who is married with children being addicted to a wrestling simulator :o

I don't have a porn stash, I have a diary stash. Now I feel quite sad indeed :(
Your so lucky, i only have to mention wrestling and my wife goes into /ignore mode!
I'm quite lucky, my wife enjoys wrestling almost as much as I do. I thought it was just a Hardy fixation at first however I managed to turn her into almost as big a Kane & Foley fan as I am
