jbergey_2005
I am just wondering if the computer AI is handeling managers correctly. I set up the WWF and then resigned right away in order to set up some history. I noticed Jimmy Snuka switched to a face but is still being managed by Lou Albano(heel). This made me curious so I checked out Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling and none of the managers are even managing anyone on the active roster. Can anyone confirm if managers are being handeled correctly with the default database?
scorpion
The point of the AI turning people heel or face is so that if a user takes over a company they start with a balanced roster as opposed to having to turn half the roster on their first show. My guess is that managers are inconsequential to the AI as they are their to create chemistry with a worker and to help a worker with their speaking skills. Both things are useful to the user but not to the AI. If nobody on the Mid-Atlantic roster has a manager set to them, then that is probably because they were not preset with managers in the database, as the AI may "use" managers but only the user "sets" them for a roster. Remianen
Managers are being handled properly with the default data. However, you really should stop judging the AI by the same criteria players use or the standards we're held to. Watch the show outputs. Workers with managers are often seen in segments with their manager. However, the AI doesn't assign every worker a manager (it uses very few of them, in fact). What the AI does is very simple. Workers who are bad on the stick are rarely used in angles where those skills make a big difference. If they are used in those kinds of angles (by necessity), they're then paired with someone who can offset that disability, as it were. But watch the match outputs. When managers are being used, you'll see descriptions like 'ANGLE: Backstage segment involving (worker) and (manager)'.
