ritwik
aha Fezzik. Since I don't have WMMA, can somebody please give me a lodown on his profile? I think Adam has borrowed him from The Princess Bride, which is a book he likes [and which is, in fact, highly likeable]
Tommy J.
Fezzik, predictably a Turk (but a samboist, not a wrestler), is basically the baddest fighter on the planet. He starts the game with arguably the best skill set and his record stands at 25-0 and is the reigining ALPHA-1 Heavyweight Champion. I didn't know about The Princess Bride connection but pretty much everybody that follows MMA saw Fezzik as the game equivalent to Fedor Emelianenko. Just Jack
During my Xtreme Cage Combat game, Shane Gilchrist went 10-2 in XCC and was then signed by ALPHA-1. His first win in the company was a first round TKO of Fezzik. Fezzik then won the two rematches.

Adam's reference to Inigo Montoya (played by Mandy Patinkin) in EWR pretty much confirms that he's at least familiar with the story, so I got the reference immediately. Interestingly enough, it seems that several other characters in WMMA share names with characters from movies and television series in which Mandy Patinkin appears. Just from the series "Dead Like Me" alone I noticed virtually every main character/actor has a character in the game who shares a first or last name with them: Tyler Lass, Jessica Herbig, Laura Adair, Junior Patinkin, Callum Henson, Mason Archer, Spencer Rubenstein (tellingly nicknamed "The Reaper")... if that wasn't intentional, it was a very interesting coincidence indeed. :D As for Fezzik's undefeated streak, I've got him at 30-0 right now in my current game; unfortunately for him, Heiji Endo moved up to heavyweight last year and is looking like an absolute monster thus far. Is he the one to succeed where Jeff Carlton, Kikuchi, Hiro Arai, Shane Gilchrist and Carter Potter have failed? I'm looking forward to finding out, since a new champion would probably mean good things for the rest of the division.
