machinesxe
So I am playing a game of APW and just get up a level(cant for the life of me remember what level but sure you can guess from the details below). The thing is I did this by getting up to a E or D in Importantance. Now it tells me to get any higher I need to rise to a D in Influence in two regions. This was about 7-8 Months ago and since then I have been running a weekly TV Show and also running an event every other month. Really I guess this question is to ask what the difference in Imprtantance overness and Influenece overness is. Any help would be great. APW!!! BTW I am considering doing a Dynasty for this but I think I will wait until I get to the next level to start doing in and using the time it took to get to this level as part of the back story. Keep your eyes out!
Rathen4
Use the excel sheet from here: http://jenspetter.net/tew/Ratings.zip It shows you what your popularity (from the editor) corresponds to.
machinesxe
I looked this over last night but it doesn't real tell me what the difference in the two are or how to go about getting one boosted over the other.
Irish Wolf
Importance and Influence as you are using them are interchangeable. Each region has a certain "importance" level which is how effective each region is in the game and thus how much "Influence" you have in the gaming world. ie: You are 60% over in a region which give you an actual overness of 60% but the region is only of 90% importance (as Tri-State US an Kanto Japan are the only two 100% Importance regions) so you a have an Influence in the region of 54%. So although you have C overness in the region you only have a C- Influence because of the Importance and since all size changes are done based on the Influence it is the only stat that really counts. The chart Rathen4 actually points out quite clearly the percentage in overness needed to get to each level of Influence as opposed each level of general overness. So as the chart points out to get a D Influence in Western AU you need a 48.35 which is a D+ in straight ovreness so you need to be putting on probably at least C show in that region for it to go up. In central you need an 82.2 to get a D Influence which is a B straight overness so you'll need to be putting on probably A shows in this area. A D in eastern is 45.67 which is still effectively a D but about half way more than a straight overness D so I'd try and keep putting on D+ and C- shows here not to drop. D Infulnce in New Zealand is a 58.1 a very high C- straight overness so you need to be putting on C+ maybe B- shows here to get up to a D infuence.
