eWr 08 and Beyond

OOD: This is a continuation of my old eWr dynasty found here. The whole thread tells the story of my epic game. I started this new thread to essentially fast forward to my current state in the game.
"The day Chris Hero won the title was the day eWr hit the big time, I think." - Joey Styles on "Wrestling Observer Live" 8-22-08
For months, elite Wrestling revolution was considered to be the next big breakout promotion into the mainstream. Since the former IPW gained the financial backing of bodog.com owner and millionaire Calvin Ayre and changed it's name, the promotion did nothing but grow and grow. The promotion secured a network television show on the fledgeling MyNetwork TV channel. The promotion's Pay Per View buy rates were relativly strong for such a relativly small promotion. Many in the business were very much surprised on the success of eWr as a whole. The promotion's talent core was largely unknown to mainstream fans, which was what they were attempting to draw to. Despite this, eWr fueled on, led by it's amazing marketing campaign which plastered the eWr Fist logo across many major cites and running ads during most wrestling shows on cable and a roster filled with talent. Some hated eWr, calling it "ROH with WWE Production Values" and refrenced the now legendary "ROH Exodus" where several eWr stars which were also contracted by ROH chose eWr over ROH. TNA constantly took shots at eWr. ROH turned their fans against eWr, labeling them rip off artists. WWE stole talent from eWr as much as they possibly could. Despite all this, the little promotion from New York, with a young group of talent, with several key lockeroom leaders, producing the only non WWE network TV wrestling show in decades in prime time nonetheless continued on. And who would have thought that the title win of one man, would begin one of the greatest turns of business in wrestling history. This is elite Wrestling revolution: Revolutionizing Wrestling. OOD: To the readers, for the recap of the game, should I go month by month or essentially do one by each star of the promotion? Thanks again for reading. Necro

June 2007 June was another solid month for eWr, as "Gold Rush" was in all terms a big success for the product, getting the second most buys in company history. The Alex Shelley/Michael Manna feud fueled the promotion, along with the very edgy Kevin Steen/Eddie Kingston storyline. However the month did end somberly as the wrestling world was shocked and saddened to hear of the murder/suicide of legendary WWE Star Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy "Woman" Benoit and son Daniel Benoit. The night of the tradgey, at an eWr house show in Philadelphia eWr held a Tribute/Benefit show which was to be aired that week in place of BattleGround, however as more details came out the plan was scrapped and a memorial segment was aired during BattleGround. eWr presents "Gold Rush" June 24, 2007 WORLD-1 (Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshino and BxB Hulk) defeated Team Checkmate (Christopher Bishop and Lionel Knight) & Chance Beckett vs. Cheech, Cloudy and Jerry Lynn Wrestling fans were treated with gift as 9 of the best crusiers in the world faced off in a very fast pased chaotic match. The team from Dragon Gate took the win in this one following Doi and Yoshino nailing a double superkick on Cheech for the win. As the Canadian team of Checkmate and Beckett bailed in anger, the American and Japanese teams shook hands to a huge reaction. The BLK Out defeated The Backseat Boyz The Backseats claimed they were the greatest team in eWr ever but the BLK Out had something to say about this and were looking to beat some respect into the duo from Philly. However after a solid 10 minutes of action, The Backseats simply walked out of the match, claiming later they simply were tired of the "cheating" ways of the BLK Out. 2/3 Falls: Delirious defeated Frankie Kazarian The feud between "The Best Around" and "The Lizard Man" had now reached epic proportions. Kazarian was fuming that "a walking gimmick" had scored several "fluke wins" over him, while Delirious was hell bent on revenge following several vicious attacks given to him by Kazarian. Kazarian picked up the first fall nailing the Flux Compacator. However the masked Delirious would win the match in two straight falls, first with the Chemical Imbalance, and then with a simple school boy. Post match, Kazarian had a huge temper tantrum, ending with a chair shot to refree Brian Hebner. eWr CrusierX Title Only Pin/Submission: (C) Joey Ryan defeated Mike Quackenbush The heated rivalry between the ****y Ryan and the veteran Quackenbush reached new levels when Ryan savagly unmasked Scorpio Sky, who then became Quack's protege. In this match, following Ryan's intentional backing out of matches to keep his title, pins and submissions were the only way to win. However the match ended in shocking fashion, after Quackenbush KO'd Ryan with the Quackendriver II he invited Scorpio Sky in to get a few shots in on Ryan. Scorpio proceded to get a chair and nail Quackenbush in the head, busting him wide open, and then waking Ryan up who then nailed the Amnesiac for the win. Following the match, Ryan and Sky announced it was all a plan to screw over Quackenbush. Ryan then announced that it was time for a new ruling party in eWr. eWr World Tag Team Title: Jigsaw defeated Beef Wellington The eWr Tag Team Title situation was in incredible peril following El Generico's inability to pick a tag team championship partner. His 2 former partners went from friends to enemies quickly and the time was now to decide finally who the new champs would finally be. In a very quck pased match, Jigsaw nailed his devistating Jig N Tonic on Beef for the win. Post match, El Generico came out to celebrate with new title partner, however this infuriated Beef Wellington who attacked both men before being ran out of the ring. Unsanctioned Match: Kevin Steen defeated Eddie Kingston The most controversial feud in eWr continued. Steen's suspension was lifted after the begging of BLK Out and Eddie Kingston so he could get his hands on the many who nearly paralyzed his girlfriend. This one was nothing short of a blood letting brawl going all over the arena. The match ended with Steen nailing a sickening Package Piledriver on the ring steps. Following the match, Steen proceded to attack Kingston with a chair as he was being carried out of the arena on a stretcher. Knock Out Survival Match For WXW Heavyweight and European Titles: (C) The Kings Of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) defeated Lance Storm and Davey Richards Hero and Claudio had become known as two of the best in eWr and at the same time two of the most villianous and their feud against Lance Storm and Davey Richards proved this. In this contest, we saw an incredible hard hitting match which became a MOTY canidate. Lance Storm was ousted first following a conchairto by the Kings. The Kings then proceded to disected Davey Richards, however the youngster proved he had heart, as he eliminated Claudio following a vicious Muy Thai kick to his head. However, Chris Hero would almost instantly put the nail in Richards coffin, nailing him a stiff Yakuza Kick, followed by a cravateplex and 2 Hero's Welcomes, allowing the Kings to hold on to their crowns. First Blood Match For ICW/ICWA Texarkana and WXW TV Titles: Nigel McGuiness defeated (C) Larry Sweeney The blood feud between these two men reaches back to the beginings of eWr. And when Sweeney made his return from a breif hiatus, he bloodied Nigel and weeks later he bloodied Nigel's fellow Englishman PAC. Nigel was out not just for a title win or honor, but revenge. And he got it. Nigel and Sweeney brawled it out early on, before Nigel hit his stride and demolished "Sweet and Sour" with some of the stiff lariats this side of a Kobashi match. Nigel nailed a devistating Tower Of London on a chair, which busted Sweeney wide open for the win. Nigel wasn't done, as he hit another one and finally another lariat to KO his foe. Nigel then claimed he didn't want Sweeney's "Joke belt" and proceded to only take the WXW TV Title. Main Event: If Shelley Wins, He Recieves A eWr World Heavyweight Title Match; If Manna Wins, Shelley Will Never Recieve A eWr World Heavyweight Title Shot While Manna Is Champion: Alex Shelley defeated Michael Manna The biggest feud in eWr took another huge step as these two faced each other for the first time and they did not disapoint. Shelley had his entire future on the line as he simply wanted his one shot at eWr World Heavyweight Title glory. For nearly 27 minutes, both men put on a classic. Manna attempted to end the match with the MannaT, however Shelley countered with an atomic drop variation and proceded to hit the Shellshock out of nowhere for the victory. Shelley celebrated with an incredibly excited crowd as Manna looked to be completly misterable.

July 2007 July saw eWr continue to make huge strides, as they started a new working agreement with All Japan Pro Wrestling, which was to allow AJPW stars to compete in eWr and vice versa. Several new stars debuted this month. All leading up to eWr's midsummer classic and answer to the Crockett Era Great American Bash, "Scars and Stripes" held in it's biggest venue to date, The Verizion Center in Washigton DC. The show was headlined by the much anticipated Alex Shelley/Michael Manna eWr World Heavyweight Title match. The wrestling world continued to deal with the Benoit tradgey, seeing the WWE made drastic changes to their Wellness Policy, firing known "abuser" Chris Masters and starting a rehab plan for any former WWE workers. TNA introduced publicly their own wellness policy. eWr Presents: "Scars and Stripes" July 21, 2007 Pick You Poision: Hallowicked defeated Frankie Kazarian The feud between Delirious and Frankie Kazarian continued to burn, as Kazarian challenged Delirious to a "Pick Your Poision" match, in which each man chose their foe's opponent. Delirious shocked many by bringing back his long time tag team partner in Incoherience, the masked Hallowicked. Very good match between these two, ending with Delirious distracting Kazarian after he nailed Hallowicked with a superkick, allowing Hallowicked to get an upset win with a roll up. Kazarian was pissed but claimied he would have his revenge later on. F.I.S.T defeated Up In Smoke The franchise team of CHIKARA made their eWr debuts in July. Gran Akuma and Icarus quickly devolped a reputation as one of the best young teams in the world and were hell bent on showing this to a worldwide PPV audience. Up In Smoke, the young team who had become the underdog darlings of the eWr fans would stand in their way. Very solid tag team encounter here, ending with Akuma nailing the Yoshi Tonic on Cloudy, followed by a nearly simultanious Flying Leg Drop by Icarus for the win. Following the match, F.I.S.T signaled they wanted the tag straps. Mike Quackenbush defeated Scorpio Sky The Joey Ryan/Mike Quackenbush feud continued to expand, as Ryan's new ally Scorpio Sky took up Ryan's place against Quackenbush after Ryan went to Japan on "business". Quackenbush however did not care, as he unleashed not only his rage for Scorpio Sky who had turned on him, but also on the absent Ryan. Quack unleashed the Lightning Lock on Scorpio, forcing him to tap. Following the match, from the crowd ran in a debuting Karl Anderson, who attacked Quack, nailing a spinebuster as he helped up Scorpio Sky. Out from the back waltzed Joey Ryan, who introduced Anderson as "The Enforcer" and announced that The Dynasty was here. Pick Your Poision: Super Dragon defeated Delirious Kazarian sanutered to the ring, claiming he's brought in an old friend to help him settle the score, and he did it soley because he liked to hurt people. The staticy hip hop hype vide which had been airing for 2 months showed. The static formed the word "NOW" as "Gangsta Gangsta" by NWA bled through as the static formed the mask and name and out walked Super Dragon to a HUGE reaction. Match wise it was a glorified squash, with Dragon hitting many of his spots, getting him over as "The Baddest Mother ****er On Earth". Dragon wins after he demolishes Delirious with the Psycho Driver. Dragon walks out of the ring, as Kazarian runs in and begins to bash a fallen Delirious with a chair until Hallowicked runs in for the save as Kazarian bails out. Strap Match: Larry Sweeney defeated Nigel McGuiness The feud between these 2 guys intensified following a attack by Sweeney on Nigel following a match against Claudio Castagnoli, caped off with Nigel being viciously whipped by Sweeney's belt. This led to a strap match being signed. Match wise it was a very savage affair, alot of blood being shed in this one. Nigel had the match in hand until Sweeney took a page out of the Sheik's book and threw fire at McGuiness, allowing him to touch all 4 corners as Nigel struggled to see and ease his burned flesh. 4 Way Dance for eWr World Tag Team Titles: The Backseat Boyz defeated (C) JigNerico, The BLK OUT and Team Checkmate As the eWr World Tag Team titles finally had owners, it was announced that due to the lack of defences, Jigsaw and El Generico would have to face the top 3 contenders in a 4 Way Dance. All 3 contending teams claimed they would take the titles and shockingly one did. Team Checkmate were the first team gone, after El Generico blasted Christopher Bishop with a BRAINBUSTAH. The BLK OUT would be gone next after Trent Acid blasted Sabian with a Yakuza Kick out of nowhere. It all came down to the champs and the longtime challengers. Match ends with Jigsaw attempting a Moonsault on Kashmere. Meanwhile on the outside Generico gets Acid Bombed on the hard cement floor, allowing Acid to sneak back in. Acid and Kashmere then leap up the ropes and catch Jigsaw and deliver a top rope Backseat Bomb and get a double pin for the victory. The Backseat Boyz are the NEW eWr World Tag Team Champions. The Backseats then celebrate as if they won the Super Bowl as the crowd sits in shock and disapointment. Unschuelded Brawl: Eddie Kingston defeated Kevin Steen Steen, following Gold Rush, claimed he had taken Eddie Kingston out of eWr by breaking his neck. However, a series of amazing hospital bed promos by Kingston proved otherwise. He swore revenge and to maim Steen whenever he would come back. Steen comes out and procedes to run down the US, hype Canada and then badmouth Eddie Kingston. From the back comes BLK OUT manager Robby Merino who announced he wanted a piece of Steen for all the things Steen had done to his "fam". The 2 began to brawl, with Steen getting an early advantage, however from the crowd ran in Eddie Kingston, wearing a neckbrace and wielding a metal bat. In one of the more savage beatdowns in recent history, Kingston destroyed Steen with ball bat shots, including particularly vicous shots to Steen's groin and jaw. Kingston then removed his neckbrace, went to the outside, brought in the ring the ring steps and nailed a Backdrop Suplex on Steen, with Steen's head bouncing off the stairs. Kingston stood triumphantly as paramedics rushed to check on the condition of Kevin Steen. Chris Hero defeated Davey Richards The contuned feud between The Kings Of Wrestling and Davey Richards and Lance Storm traveled to the singles ranks as each man paired off. Prior to the match, Hero and Castagnoli claimed the power of the Kings Of Wrestling and how all it's members would win tonight, both showing tremendous power and intensity in this promo. Very solid match between these two. Davey attempts the DR Driver but Hero telegraphs it and nails the Johnny Saint Special and then nails the Hero's Welcome Championship Ediition for the win. Following the match, Hero signals 2 for 2. Claudio Castagnoli defeated Lance Storm Part two of this series started almost immedietly and was a very competitive one between these two. Storm dominated alot of this match, nearly getting the duke after locking Claudio in the Maple Leaf for 5 whole minutes. Claudio valiantly fought on and shocked Storm after hailing the Cough Drop and following it up with a stiff bycyle kick for the upset win. Claudio, like Hero then signaled 3 for 3. Main Event: eWr World Heavyweight Title: Alex Shelley defeated (C) Michael Manna The biggest match in eWr history could only take place in DC, the home of one of the biggest title matches ever when Sting pinned Hulk Hogan at Starcade 97. Shelley, in a excelent promo before the match, dubbed himself "Alex Stingy" for this match and Manna "Hoboken Hogan" and tonight, 10 years later he would repeat Sting's fortune. The crowd was incredibly hot for this affair, poping at every possble chance. 30 solid minutes of action here, very back and forth. Manna nails Shelly with the King's Crown and uncharacteristically goes up for a leg drop, which Shelley dodges. Shelley attemps the Shellshock, which Manna blocks, hits a quick King's Crown and goes for the MannaT. Shelley then somehow quickly corkscrews his way out, nails the Shellshock and then locks Manna in the Border City Stretch. After 3 minutes of struggle, Manna taps out as the crowd absolutly goes insane as an emotional Shelley is presented the eWr World Heavyweight Title. Much like the end of Starcade, the entire eWr lockeroom clears out to congradulate Shelley, as Manna limps to the outside of the ring, where he's met by the other Kings Of Wrestling, all looking rather upset and disapointed as they help a clearly distraught Manna to the back. The show ends with Shelley on the shoulders of Davey Richards and Lance Storm holding up his title as fireworks go off.

August 2007 As the summer continued, so did the eWr expansion campaign. eWr essentially bought out Ontario's UWA Hardcore promotion. The promotion which was suffering due to financial woes would act as an ECW to the WWE style, as several eWr stars were to make apperances in future shows. The ratings for "BattleGround" on MyNetwork continued to improve more and more and it was announced in October, BattleGround would move to 8PM and become 2 hours long. August was fueled by The Shelley Era, as new eWr World Heavyweight Champion continued to deal with the now bitter former champion Michael Manna, whom he defeated again the next BattleGround episode. Manna enacted his rematch clause for August's PPV "Hotter Than Hell", hailing from the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA. However, GM Al Snow had other plans and announced that there would be an 8 man single elimination tournament that night, with the winner recieveing a shot against Shelley and Manna in the night's main event. The eight men announced were the top 8 contenders for the title: Nigel McGuiness, Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Larry Sweeney, Lance Storm, Davey Richards, Eddie Kingston and Kevin Steen. All matches have relationships to all the major feuds in eWr so clearly Al Snow had a plan with his bracketing. eWr Presents: "Hotter Than Hell" August 25, 2007 -Dark Match: F.I.S.T defeated Incognito and Siclodelcio 3 Way Tournament Opening Match: Lance Storm defeated Larry Sweeney The lethal lottery style tournament kicked off with an interesting matchup between the Canadian legend and "Sweet and Sour" himself. Very solid opener. Match ends with Sweeney attempting his big 12 Larger Elbow Drop but Storm does an amazing kick up and procedes to nail Sweeney in the chops with a superkick. 3 Way Tournament Opening Match: Chris Hero defeated Davey Richards The lottery picks out a very interesting battle as the feud between the KOW and Storm and Richards continues, in this case a rematch from last month's PPV. Davey was hell bent on getting his win back, and he showed it by hitting Hero with some of the stiffest kicks you've ever seen. Davey had Hero on the rocks for much of the match, but Hero steals one by rolling up Davey and clutching the ropes for added leverage. Davey looks incredibly pissed as Hero slides to the outside smirking. 3 Way Tournament Opening Match: Eddie Kingston defeated Claudio Castagnoli Another great battle here as Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castagnoli are picked in this first round battle. However before the match is even able to begin, Kingston is attacked by Kevin Steen, resulting in a Kingston DQ win. Claudio, not wanting to face his partner in the next round simply walked off. Steen and Kingston brawled all over the arena, bloodying both men. Steen gets the upper hand and procedes to give Kingston an ungodly Steenilizer through a table and a chair. Kingston lays a broken mess in the corner. Steen then announces he had finished his reasons for showing up and announced he wouldn't face Nigel McGuiness. Steen walks to the back as Nigel walks out and shouts at him and calls him a ***** for not facing him, before checking out a fallen Kingston who is brought to the back by paramedics. Mike Quackenbush and Up In Smoke defeated Joey Ryan, Karl Anderson and Scorpio Sky Last month's debut of The Dynasty saw the furthering of the feud between Joey Ryan and Mike Quackenbush. However, The Dynasty did not count on Quackenbush getting the aid of 2 young men he trained in Cheech and Cloudy. Very solid lucha esq match between these six men. The match ends with Ryan attempting to superkick Quack, only to get his leg caught, miss an enzuguri and get locked in the Lightning Lock and almost instantly tapping. Quack signaled he wanted Ryan's CrusierX title, and this win made him another step closer to achieving this goal. Super Dragon defeated Team Checkmate Team Checkmate comes out and procede to run their mouths about not being included in the upcoming 3 way dance for the eWr World Tag Team Titles and proceded to make an open challenge. Our from the back walked "The Baddest Mother ****er On Earth" Super Dragon, threating to hit fans and ripping up signs, Dragon walks in and in less than 3 minutes procedes to Psycho Driver both men, creating a pile of bodies in the center of the ring. Dragon then flipped off the crowd and walked to the back, as if nothing happened. 3 Way Tournament Semi Finals: Chris Hero defeated Eddie Kingston Hero came out struting claiming he wouldn't even have an opponent. Kingston's music hit and nothing. Hero laughed. Music hit again and nothing. Hero demanded a 10 count. Suddenly the music hit a 3rd time and Kingston staggered out from the back. He put up a valiant fight but Hero took advantage of his condition and won with the Hero's Welcome yet again. Post match Hero facewashed Kingston, as Kingston agained had to be helped to the back. 3 Way Tournament Semi Finals: Nigel McGuiness defeated Lance Storm A technical wrestling fan's dream match was realized as 2 of the best in the world collided here. The 2 shook hands and for 15 minutes fans were treated to a showcase of excelent wrestling. Match ends with Nigel powering out of the Maple Leaf and Storm nailing a stiff elbow and whipping Nigel into the ropes for a Superkick, however Nigel telegraphed it and nailed the Rebound Lariat for the win. The 2 again shook hand at the end of the match to the delight of the crowd. Triangle Match for eWr World Tag Team Titles: (C) The Backseat Boyz defeated The BLK OUT and JigNerico Since their win, The Backseats' egos have gotten out of control. However Al Snow put them in check when he put this match together with the 2 top teams in eWr history facing The Backseats. The first team to make a pin wins. Very solid battle. Match ends with Ruckus hitting the Poetic Ruckus on Jigsaw while Sabian and Generico brawl on the outside. Unbeknost to Ruckus, he's tagged in by Kashmere, who with Acid Backseat Bomb both Ruckus and Jigsaw for the theft and the win. 3 Way Tournament Finals: Chris Hero defeated Nigel McGuiness It all comes down to Hero and Nigel. Hero uses his freshness to his advantage early on, however Nigel came roaring back and these 2 proceded to but on a spectacular match. Match ends with refree Bryce Remsberg walking accidently into a Hero Yakuza Kick, who was then lariated to hell by Nigel. From the back ran Larry Sweeney who nailed Nigel with a chair. Hero went for the pin but Nigel kicked out. Hero attempted a Hero's Welcome but Nigel got out and nailed another Lariat. He raised Hero for another, but Hero ducked under and hit a backcracker and Hero's Welcome and pinned Nigel with both feet on the ropes to take the win. It was now essentially 2 Kings Of Wrestling vs Alex Shelley in the main event. Last Man Standing Match: Delirious defeated Frankie Kazarian The feud between these 2 heated up more when Delirious challegned Kazarian to a Last Man Standing match following the savage attacks of Kazarian at Scars and Stripes and the week afterwards on BattleGround. Very violent and hard hitting match. Kazarian hit one of the sickest spots in history hitting the Flux Compacator off the top rope to the outside of the ring through 2 tables. Yet Delirious would not stay down. Kazarian attempted the Compacator again off the top, however Delirious telegraphed and nailed an ungodly Super Chemical Imbalance, resulting in Delirious barley getting up in time for the 10 count. Post match, Kazarian took the mic and announced eWr wasn't big enough for the 2 of them and at the next show, there would be a match to end their feud. Kazarian walked off before more could be said as Delirious looked confused. Main Event Triangle Match for eWr World Heavyweight Title: (C) Alex Shelley defeated Michael Manna and Chris Hero Before the match, Hero and Manna cut a great promo about how the Kings of Wrestling isn't just a stable but a life style (said by Hero) and Manna then claiming tonight he would bring the belt back to the Kings, which made Hero look somewhat distraught. Shelley was at a serious disadvantage as it was 2 on 1 for most of the match. However he was able to hold off both men for much of the match. Hero nailed a HUGE Hero's Welcome Championship Edition and went for the pin, only to have Manna pull him off and take the pin himself. The 2 argued breifly before Shelley made a huge comeback. Manna MannaT's Shelley and he and Hero hug and procede to call a double team spot. Hero winds up to Yakuza Kick Shelley, but Shelley dodges and Hero accidently nails Manna. Shelley then superkicks a shocked Hero to the outside. Shelley then raises up Manna and plants him with the Shellshock for the win. Shelley leaves the ring triumphant as the 2 other Kings of Wrestling check on their fallen members as the show closes.

September 2007 As the seasons changed, so did the inner workings of eWr. Several front office workers including Disco Machine and Eric Garagulio left eWr to go to the WWE along with several lower level workers including Danny Demanto and most notably Beef Wellington. Garagulio became Eric Gatens and took over Joey Styles' place on ECW after Styles was fired. Luckly for eWr, Styles almost immedietly signed with eWr and soon enough Styles became the voice of eWr along with former ECW coworker Raven. September saw eWr hype more and more it's working relationship with All Japan, announcing that several AJPW would be making their debuts at September's PPV. The shows were fueled by Alex Shelley's quest to be the fightiningist champion in wrestling, defending his title against Delirious, Frankie Kazarian and Larry Sweeney respectivly. The Kevin Steen/Eddie Kingston feud continued to sizzle, as an angle took place in which Steen attempted to run over Kingston with a car. The respect Kings Of Wrestling feuds all also took up significant parts of time. eWr also was bitten by the injury bug, as Jigsaw suffered a torn PCL muscle, taking him out for upwards of 6 weeks, Scorpio Sky suffered a fractured wrist which would take him out for upwards of 2 months and the hardest injury saw youngster Davey Richards injuring his shoulder, keeping him out of "Fight Night" which he was to be in the main event. eWr also dealt with producing two major shows in September. The first, main PPV was "Fight Night", to be held from the Miami Arena in Miami, FL, which was to be main evented by War Games, making it's first apperance not only in eWr but mainstream wrestling in over a decade. And only 2 weeks later, the entire eWr roster would be off to Tokyo for a huge joint Tokyo Dome show with All Japan. eWr became the highest rated gaijin wrestling show in Japan, even becoming more popular than several domestic promotions. AJPW, which was suffering popularity wise, saw the relationship as a possible way to boost their product in the eyes of fans. eWr Presents: "Fight Night: War Games" September 22, 2007 Hallowicked and Up In Smoke defeated Team Checkmate and Chance Beckett The masked Hallowicked's return to eWr continued to be spotless as he captained the young Up In Smoke team against their perenial rivals Team Checkmate and their fellow Canadian Chance Beckett. Very solid high flying contest here, ending with 'Wicked nailing the Graveyard Smash on Beckett for the win. Sexxxy Eddy defeated Sal Rinauro For weeks, Val Venis-esq hype promos were aired to hype the debut of "The Sex Express" Sexxxy Eddy. And did Eddy cause a stir in his debut. After doing a very lewd lap dance on a female, "The Sex Express" ran wild on the young Rinauro, soundly pining him with the Five Star Porn Splash. Max Boyer defeated Ruckus Speaking of debuts, young and arrogant Canadian star Max Boyer made his debut 2 weeks earlier on BattleGround by interupting a BLK OUT promo. He spoke of his style and how he's the greatest crusierweight in the world. Clearly Ruckus took offense to this. Very solid match. Ruckus attempt a double jump dropkick, but Boyer telegraphed it and nailed the Statement, his lethal finisher for the victory. Joey Ryan and Karl Anderson defeated Mike Quackenbush and El Generico The Ryan/Quackenbush feud continued as Ryan rather than defend his title challenged Quack to a tag match. Since Jigsaw was injured at the hands of Ryan and Anderson, he choose El Generico to settle the score. A very hotly contested battle here. Generico attempted a big Yakuza kick on Ryan, but Ryan ducked under and Generico walked right into an Anderson Spinebuster. Ryan bolted and knocked Quack off the ring apron, allowing Ryan and Anderson to nail the Hart Attack on Generico for the win. Ryan and Anderson celebrate as Quack checks on Generico. Last Time Respect Match: Delirious defeated Frankie Kazarian It was time for the feud between these 2 to end. Kazarian challenged Delirious to a Respect Match with the winner wining the feud and the loser having to tell the winner he respects him. However Kazarian had attacked Delirious multiple times leading up to this match so the steaks and tensions were at an all time high. Easily the best match of these 2 men's series. Kazarian nailed Delirious with the Wave Of The Future but only to have Delirious get hit foot on the rope. Kazarian became frustrated and began to take it more to Delirious. Kazarian attempted a second Wave, however Delirious telegraphed it and nailed a Legsweep DDT which he then locked him into a Cobra Crossface, forcing Kazarian to tap. Huge ovation to end this match. Kazarian, looking incredibly sad and disapointed shook and raised Delirious' hand as he simply walked out of the ring just devistated. Super Dragon defeated Chris Bosh Another debutee, in "The Supermodel" Chris Bosh made his way to the ring. Bosh, useing the same character he's been using in PWG, called out anyone to face him. This led to Super Dragon coming out and proceding to squash Bosh, destroying him with a Psycho Driver. Non Title Match: Minoru Suzuki and Yoshihiro Takayama defeated The Backseat Boyz The first 2 All Japan stars to show up, were 2 of it's biggest literally and figurtivly. Minoru Suzuki, the former Triple Crown champion and Yoshihiro Takayama a former NOAH champion shocked many accepting The Backseats challenge to whatever AJPW wrestlers who wanted to come to eWr. Match wise it was essentially a long squash. Match ends with Takyama German Suplexing Johnny Kashmere to the outside of the ring (literly) and in ring, Minoru locking Trent Acid in a Sleeper Choke, almost instantly choking him out. The fans went nuts as the 2 Japanese stars stood tall over the knocked out Backseats. No Holds Barred: Eddie Kingston defeated Kevin Steen Another vicious brawl between these 2. Kingston wasn't at 100% due to Steen hitting him with his car. Kingston showed up against doctors orders and was almost instantly had his injured hip attacked by Steen. Steen demolished Kingston's hip with varying objects. However, somehow Kingston galiantly fought back. Steen nearly ended the match after landing a Swanton Bomb through a table. Kingston however continued to comeback. Steen attemped a Package Piledriver on 2 chairs, however Kingston blocked it and nailed the Royal Flush for the win. A bloody Kingston celebrated as a pissed Steen backed up the ring. Main Event: Shelley's Squad defeated The Kings Of Wrestling In what could be considered one of the biggest matches in eWr history, War Games was back. eWr presented a VERY classic feel to this one. 2 rings and the huge double cage, complete with the classic rules and and sympolic lowering of the cage. The origional match was to be Shelley's Squad of Alex Shelley, Nigel McGuiness, Lance Storm and Davey Richards vs. All 4 Kings of Wrestling. However the Kings drastically changed the match by attacking Davey Richards following his defeating Chris Hero, all 4 men jumped Richards and severly injured his shoulder by ramming it several times into the ring post and nailing it with a chair several times. A pissed off Shelley vowed revenge, and announced he had found a big time partner who will bring an extra spark to their team. A week before the showdown, a huge brawl insued between both teams, when Shelley shocked the world and revealed his mystery partner...THE GREAT MUTA. Huge pop for the legend in his shocking debut. Both teams make their way out and Larry Sweeney and Lance Storm start out the match for the first 10 minute peroid. At the end of said peroid, the Kings win the coin toss and send in Claudio Castagnoli to give them the 2 man advantage for the next 5 minutes. Sweeney and Storm are now busted open. Nigel is in next for Shelley's team to even the odds. Michael Manna is in next, followed by Alex Shelley. Sweeney and Nigel are now bloody messes. Storm and Claudio are also bleeding bad, Storm with an injured leg. Chris Hero enters last and procedes to bring a chair into the ring and procedes to blast everyone on Shelley's team with it. Shelley is now busted open. The Kings now look to have this match sealed up. In comes in the Great Muta who procedes to mist Hero and Manna and almost singlehandedly brought his team back into it. The Match Beyond was now on, submit or surrender. For the next 15 minutes an epic hard hitting battle took place, covering both canvases in blood and busting everyone open. Sweeney looks to be in the worse shape, ironically pretty high on the Muta scale. Muta NAILS Sweeney with a Shining Wizard, which allows Muta to assist Shelley doubleteam Manna. Shelley locks Manna in the Border City Stretch and Muta procedes to also lock in a Boston Crab. After breifly fighting it off, Manna taps out and Shelley's Squad wins it. Team Shelley leaves the ring and celebrates on the stage. Meanwhile in ring, Hero and Claudio come to the aid of Larry Sweeney while Manna is still on the floor. Joey Styles wonders the status of The Kings as the PPV closes.

October 2007 The move to prime time and 2 hours was complete and eWr reaped the benefits. The audience for "BattleGround" stayed and grew with the move. October saw 2 PPV's being shown worldwide, firstly the eWr/All Japan joint show dubbed "eWr WrestleWorld 1: Rumble In The Rising Sun" and two weeks later "A Call For Blood" from the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford,CT. The focus of the shows continued to be Alex Shelley' title run and potential trouble within the Kings Of Wrestling. eWr WrestleWorld 1: Rumble In The Rising Sun Shown October 7, 2007 Delirious and Davey Richards defeated NOSAWA and MAZADA The makeshift team of Delirious and Davey Richards took on one of the more unpopular teams in AJPW in NOSAWA and MAZADA. Very fluid and back and forth affair. Match ends with Richards nailing a DR Driver on MAZADA for the win. TAJIRI defeated Joey Ryan One of the big surprises of the show saw the return to AJPW of Tajiri, this time debuting as the special mystery opponent of eWr CrusierX Champion Joey Ryan. Very solid match. Ryan attempts the Moustache Ride, but Tajiri mists him and then nails a vicious Buzzsaw Kick for the win. Osamu Nishimura and Lance Storm wrestled to a time limit draw Billed as a meeting of two of the all time technical masters, this match definetly did not disapoint. Both men took each other to the limit in this one. However by the 15 minute time limit, both men hadn't scored a pin of submission. Post match, both men shook hands to a big reaction. eWr World Tag Team Titles: Minoru Suzuki and Yoshihiro Takayama defeated The Backseat Boyz The dominating team of Suzuki and Takayama ran roughshot through the eWr and AJPW tag team ranks, and they decided to use the tag titles shot they earned in a tag team ganulet match on BattleGround in front of their home crowd. The Backseats had no real chance in this one. Takayama gets the win in this one after nailing a vicious 2nd rope German Suplex on Trent Acid for a shocking win. TAKA Michinoku defeated Mike Quackenbush Another big billed match, as the "Super Styles Clash" saw 2 legends in the crusierweight wrestling game battle again nearly 10 years after their last match together. Very good high flying back and forth battle. Match ends with TAKA telegraphing the Lightning Lock and then nailing a Schwein variation for the win. Alex Shelley and Ruckus defeated Minoru Fujita and Ikuto Hidaka Another surprise apperance saw the SKULL AND BONES team of Fujita and Hidaka from Zero1 move to AJPW and take on the unusual team of eWr Champion Alex Shelley and Ruckus (who requested this match). An excelent encounter here, very back and forth and hard hitting. Hidaka attempts the Shawn Capture on Shelley, but Shelley reverses out of it and locks in the Border City Stretch for the win. AJPW/eWr vs. Kings Of Wrestling/Voodoo Murders: SUSAWA and Eddie Kingston defeated brother YASSHI and Shuji Kondo In what was to be the main selling point of the PPV in Japan was the "one night merge" of the Kings Of Wrestling and the biggest heel stable in AJPW Voodoo Murders and their goal of conquering both promotions. Very stiff battle here. SUSAWA gets the win after nailing a sick Last Ride on YASSHI. AJPW/eWr vs. Kings Of Wrestling/Vodoo Murders: Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli and TARU defeated Tayio Kea, Nigel McGuiness and Kaz Hayashi Very competitive one here. The KOWVM were accompanied by Larry Sweeney, acting as the group's manager for the night. Alot of stiff shots in this one. Match ends with Hero and Claudio nailing the Super Match Ender on Kea for a hard fought victory. AJPW/eWr vs. Kings Of Wrestling/Vodoo Murders: Keiji Mutoh defeated Michael Manna This one had history, as Manna started a mini feud with Mutoh following his helping Alex Shelley secure the win at War Games. Very puro based match. Proably the best in Manna's career. Manna attempts the MannaT but only to have it reversed into a Northern Lights Suplex by Mutoh, followed up by a Shining Wizard for the win. Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Satoshi Kojima Huge surprise as former New Japan champ and one time ace Tanahashi made his shocking debut after AJPW hyped a new ace would debut to face the recently turned Voodoo Murders captain Triple Crown champ Kojima. The match was incredibly high impact and sound. Tanahashi wins with 3 lariats followed by a huge Dragon Suplex. Post match, he announces his intentions to take the Triple Crown and bring honor back to AJPW.

eWr Active Roster Al Snow The GM of eWr has seemingly been a rareity in the business now a days, a rarely seen authority figure. Snow has been vital towards the eWr expansion, helping reforge the relationship between eWr and All Japan following the "Inoki Incident". Snow has rarely seen any kind of significant action, as he has mostly been seen making and anouncing major matches. More of the same is expected. Alex Shelley eWr World Heavyweight Champion "The Motor City Wrestling Machine" has been the most dominant and fightingest champion in eWr history. Since his title win, Shelley has defended his title a record 15 times, defeating men such as Delirious, Frankie Kazarian, Claudio Castagnoli and perenial challenger Michael Manna. The feud between Shelley and Manna looks to be ending as Shelley will face Manna in a Steel Cage Match at "November Pain" with the match becoming Manna's final title opportunity. However, a new rivalry has devolped between Shelley and Chris Hero. Hero, who had won the first ever "Shot Of Gold" Battle Royal to earn a shot at any title whenever he pleases, had made it clear it was his turn to bring the gold back to the Kings Of Wrestling. Hero has pinned Shelley clean several times since the feud began in October. Hero claims he is Shelley's kryptonite, as Shelley has not recorded a pin or submission over Hero. "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon The Minnapolis native made his debut in early November, aiding long time friend and trainer Mike Quackenbush in his continued feud against Joey Ryan. Cannon unleashed his mind smashing Glimmering Warlock on an unsuspecting Scorpio Sky on his return from a broken wrist, giving him a class 2 concussion, taking him out again. Cannon has become a sworn enemy of The Dynasty, and has been targeted mostly by Karl Anderson. B Boy Southern Cali legend B-Boy made a very auspicious debut in early November, destroying several low card crusierweight stars. "The Filipino Punisher", who is accompanied by his bodyguard Mack, has used his street fighting gangsta tactics to pile up quite a body count in eWr in his short stay. B Boy looks to have his sights on whoever the CrusierX Champion is following November Pain. Brandon Thomaselli The youngster made a shocking debut in late October as he scored a clean pinfall over Joey Ryan on BattleGround. Thomaselli has become a sensation in eWr, going undefeated so far, picking up huge wins over Karl Anderson, Max Boyer, Chuck Taylor and others. He and his brothers have aided Mike Quackenbush in his feud against The Dynasty. Thomaselli looks to have a bright future ahead of him as eWr moves into 2008. Chris Hero Chris Hero, many say, is the hottest wrestler in eWr. Since the losing streak of Michael Manna began, Hero has sigle handely picked up the slack for the Kings Of Wrestling, going undefeated since July. Hero and longtime partner Claudio Castagnoli has finally finished their feud with Lance Storm and Davey Richards, coming out on top in a now legendary steel cage battle against the 2 at "A Call For Blood" in October. Hero now has his sights set on the eWr World Heavyweight Title and Alex Shelley, defeating Shelley several times cleanly, which gives legit backing to his boast that he is the only man who Shelley can't beat. Hero shocked none when he won a special "Shot Of Gold" battle royal on BattleGround to gain a title shot against any champion at any time. Hero already has entered himself in the larger scale version of the same match to be held at November Pain. Chuck Taylor "Sexy Chucky T" made his long anticipated debut at "A Call For Blood" ruining Frankie Kazarian's "retirement", lambasting Kaz calling him a never was and applauded his retirement so Taylor could take his place on the roster and unlike him he'd make the most out of his shot. This enfiruated Kazarian, and a very hot feud between the 2. Taylor has continued his schennigans, making children cry and threatening to assault the elderly. Taylor now does this on prime time television. Claudio Castagnoli "Double C" many believe is the most underated talent in all of eWr, as he has stuck mostly to tag team wrestling during his stay in eWr. However, following he and Chris Hero's victory at "A Call For Blood", Claudio has offically entered the singles ranks and so far he has been incredibly hot. Claudio, now faces stiff competition with Delirious, a man Claudio despises following his elimination at the "Shot Of Gold" Battle Royal by "The Lizard Man". Claudio and Delirious look to face off for the first time at "November Pain". Davey Richards The young protogue of Lance Storm has consitently turned heads during his stay at eWr, many calling him "The Next Great Star" with his athleticism, determination and ability. He has stayed mostly with his mentor Lance Storm and despite losing in their long feud with The Kings Of Wrestling, the 2 men have been given a shot at the eWr World Tag Team Titles at "Novemeber Pain". However, whatr is of note is Richards growing temper, as he is taking losing alot worse then he normally did, and his lack of respect in recent weeks against his opponents. Delirious The always unpredictiable Delirious has begun to moe up to the upper tier of eWr. His excelent matches against Frankie Kazarian allowed him to get put on an excelent match in a loss against Alex Shelley on a epiosde of BattleGround. Delirious has continued to step his game up and he'll need to do this. Delirious eliminated Claudio Catagnoli at the "Shot Of Gold" battle royal before being eliminated by winner Chris Hero. This enfuriated the Swiss star and the 2 have begun a rivarly which has added with several knock down/drag out brawls between the 2. Eddie Kingston "The Heart And Soul OF BLK OUT" has had a turbulant few months in eWr as his savage feud with Kevin Steen continues to drag on. Steen again made it personal as he brought in friend Franky The Mobster in to add muscle to the feud, and saw Fankie and Steen severly injure Robby Merino and Sabian by putting both through glass tables. But it wasn't done, when during a BattleGround episode, Steen and Franky brought out Kingston's former tag team partner, the retired Jack Marciano and savagely beat him, reinjuring the leg which forced him to retire. This awakened the animal inside Kingston, who has been cutting some of the most vicious and intense promos in recent wrestling history. Kingston showed this behavior as he not only bloodied Franky on Battleground with a beer bottle, but then breaking the jaw of Steen's 15 year old brother. This led to another bloody encounter between the 2. The hottest feud in wrestling continues to get hotter as these 2 will face each other in a Death Match at "Novemeber Pain". El Generico "The Generic Luchador" has been forced to move to the singles ranks following the injury of partner Jigsaw. Generico has had some success since the move but not alot. He does hold a few big wins over Michael Manna and Larry Sweeney. Frankie Kazarian "The Best Around" was very much disapointed in his loss to Delirious. So much he announced his retirement, stating he just didn't have it anymore. However, this led to the debuting Chuck Taylor coming out and berating Kazarian. This led to Kazarian abandoing his retirment and going after Taylor, to the approval of the fans. These 2 will face off at "November Pain" in the purest form of a grudge match as possible. Franky The Mobster "The Mobster" debuted at "A Call For Blood" as Kevin Steen's ally. He has since proved to be a huge asset for Steen, as he has used his hard hitting style and his "STEROIDS" brough on imposingness to get Steen out of several perdiciments. However, Franky was the victim of one of the most savage attacks in wrestling history as Eddie Kingston essentially stabbed his face with a broken beer bottle. Franky has since been MIA but bet on him to return soon. Hallowicked Hallowicked has been flucuating between eWr and CHIKARA, where he is the current champion. When he's in eWr, he is either aiding his trainer Mike Quackenbush against the Dynasty or teaming up with Delirious to form Incoherience. Hallowicked his due for a full time call up however soon. Joey Ryan eWr CrusierX Champion The leader of The Dynasty has continued to fend off challengers from everywhere. His long running feud with Mike Quackenbush has turned into a faction war of sorts but it always comes down to those 2. Ryan has also dealt with stiff competition from stars such as Brandon Thomaselli, Ruckus and others however when it comes down to it, he always leaves with his CrusierX Title. Ryan is schuelded to face Quackenbush in a ladder match at "November Pain". Karl Anderson "The Enforcer" of the Dynasty has been nothing short of his namesake, making the Spinebuster once again one of the most feared moves in eWr. He continues to be the backup which has made The Dynasty one of the more feared groups in the wrestling world. He has begun a rivarly against Arik Cannon and it has become one of the jewels of live shows as these 2 have consistantly put on excelent matches. Kevin Steen "Mr Wrestling" has been engaged in the bloodiest most controversial feuds in recent memory with Eddie Kingston. Steen has orchastrated several savage attacks on Kingston and many of his associates. Steen brought in his "backup" Franky The Mobster and the 2 have geled well as a team. Steen brought savegly to new levels as he and Franky attacked Jack Marsciano, ending with Steen Pillmanizing Jack 3 times, with the 3rd time with a Frog Splash. However, Steen's vulnuerability was eploited when Kingston broke the jaw of Steen's kid brother Michael. A insensed Steen has since vowed serious vengence against Kingston Lance Storm The legendary Storm's role in eWr has continued to mentor Davey Richards. He has primarly become a tag team compeitor because of this. Storm dealt with serious mental anguish as he was the losing fall when he and Richards lost their feud against The Kings Of Wrestling. Storm is now continuing to train Davey, and try to curb his hot temper. He and Richards have lined up a tag titles shot at "November Pain". Larry Sweeney "Sweet N Sour" has moved on into more of a manager type role for The Kings Of Wrestling, while still wrestling regularly. He still is the regining and now 30 times ICW/ICWA Texarkana TV Champion. Sweeney however is still constantly fighting with his longtime rival Nigel McGuiness. This issue still seems not to be anywhere near resolved. Max Boyer "The Canadian Fashion Icon" reminds many in the eWr of Rick "The Model" Martel. Boyer has had one of the hottest streaks in eWr since debuting in a big vistory against Ruckus. Boyer has been making a hell of a case for himself in the ranks of the eWr, many times teaming with fellow Canadians Kevin Steen and Franky The Mobster against the BLK OUT. Boyer looks to be making a strong push for the CrusierX Title. Michael Manna The leader of The Kings Of Wrestling has been on a massive losing streak since losing the eWr World Heavyweight title to Alex Shelley. Manna has yet to win a singles match since the loss, suffering losses to The Great Muta, El Generico, Delirious, Mike Quackenbush and others. Yet he still calls himself the best in the business. Manna's streak of frustrations have also brought out a streak in him, which regularly seems him shouting at his Kings Of Wrestling stable mates post losses. Manna quest to regain the gold has spurned several losses to Shelley and is now forced in a corner where if he doesn't defeat Shelley at November Pain, he never recieves another shot as long as Shelley is champion. Mike Quackenbush "Lightning Mike" has been involved in one of the hottest feuds in eWr against Joey Ryan and his Dynasty stable. Ryan and Quack have been consistantly having some of the better matches in recent eWr history. However, when push come to shoves, these matches usually end with Ryan nefariously retaining his title. And with his Dynasty behind him, Quack has brought in a group to help him out including the Thomasellis and Arik Cannon. Quack may very well have his best chance at the CrusierX Title as he faces Ryan in a ladder match at November Pain. Mack The silent bodyguard of B-Boy is clearly the biggest man in all of eWr and he may just pack the biggest punch. While not competeing in a real match as of yet, "The Mack Truck" as Joey Styles calls him has demonstrated his vicious stength many times, usually after B-Boy's matches. His Mack Bomb folding powerbomb is becoming one of the most feared moves in wrestling. Nelson Creed "The Canadian Axe Bomber" only recently debuted and many inside eWr believe he has the potential to be a huge star. The 23 year old Vancover native shocked many by defeating fellow countryman Max Boyer in his debut match. Creed's excelent speed and technical prowess make him a real threat in eWr. Nigel McGuiness One of the most popular eWr wrestlers has been absent of late due to a tour of All Japan Pro Wrestling. Nigel hasn't totally been out of sight, as he has occasionally traded video insults with longtime rival Larry Sweeney. However it appears that Nigel will be back full time soon, but will also be entering the eWr Title picture hard. The Englishman has apparently learned a new finishing manuever which he plans on unleasing upon his return to eWr. Perro Aguayo Jr. The son of the legendary Mexican star Perro Aguayo, "El Perro Del Mar" shocked many in the wrestling world by leaving CMLL where he was the top heel, to go to eWr full time. Aguayo has been promoted hard with many vignettes, and he is to make his eWr in ring debut come "November Pain" against a unamed opponent. Sal Rinauro "The Big Salbowski" has become a big hit with eWr fans with his unlikley team with Sexxxy Eddy. Sal made his return to the main roster following an extended stay in CHIKARA. Sal has been sort of a job guy recently, but his growing popularity is something to take note of. Sexxx Eddy "The Sex Express" is the reincarnation of early Val Venis, but amped up 100 times. Eddy has been dealing recently with B-Boy, however he seems to be making a transition to the tag ranks with Sal Rinauro. Eddy is the first wrestler to nearly be banned from network TV following his X Rated lap dances and promos he cuts on Battleground. Super Dragon "The Baddest ************ In The World" has run roughshout through eWr since his debut. Dragon, who is known to hate everyone, as seen by his ripping up of fans' signs, flipping them off and threatening to punch them out, has been completly dominant. Dragon, who has been undefeated, is seemingly being given a Goldberg push, but as a monster heel. Dragon has seemingly begun to target "weaker" wrestlers, such as Cheech and Cloudy and El Generico. Expect Dragon to get ready to cross over big time soon.

I am interested... it seems to be a well packed roster from the looks of it. I like the idea of Al Snow as the authority figure and Lance Storm as Davey's mentor. I can't help but see a Davey heel turn and a feud with Lance in the future.

eWr Tag Teams/Announcers/Disabled List/etc Teams Arrogance (Chris Bosh and Scott Lost) "The California Dreams" as they're also called, the team of "Photogenic" Chris and Scott Lost have been very successful since their debut as a team as both men joined the Dynasty. The high flying duo haven't really been guning for the tag belts, rather to help Joey Ryan in his struggles against Mike Quackenbush. Aroogance, however have recently begun a rivarly against The Thomaselli Brothers. The self proclaimed best tag team in the world have shocked many and become hard fighting champions, mainly soley to increase their reputation. Many were surprised when they regained their titles against the since depated Backyarders team. The Backseats have been feuding constantly with their longtime rivals The BLK OUT. The BLK OUT have gained several victories over The Backseats. The 2 will square off in a 2/3 falls match at November Pain. F.I.S.T (Gran Akuma and Icarus) The twin aces of CHIKARA since it's debut have finally moved up to the big time and they are becoming a major tag team force in eWr. The young high impact duo have beaten every major team in eWr, yet a re patiantly waiting to enact their tag team title shot. Their sound psychology and excelent double team manuevers make them incredibly feared. Their affiliation with The Kings Of Wrestling, often helping out their former CHIKARA friends in battles. Sicodelcio and Incognito The high flying Mexican duo have been the utility team of eWr. The duo has been slitting time between eWr and CHIKARA, but it appears as though the 2 will soon enough be back on the roster. Team Checkmate (Lionel Kinght & Christopher Bishop) The 2 brash Canadians have been nothing but consistant since their debuts. The "Black Knight" and "The Man From Strangeland" have been consistantly feuding with Up In Smoke, many times stealing the show in their high flying affairs. Checkmate holds win over BLK OUT and The Backseat Boyz, this fact along with their massive talent and their willingness to bend the rules makes them very dangerous. The BLK OUT (Ruckus and Sabian) Easily the most popular team in eWr is also one of the most accomplished. Ruckus and Sabian, often accompanied by "Primo" Robbie Merino, hold victories over almost every team in eWr. They have been consistantly getting screwed in their persuits of the eWr Tag Titles against the Backseat Boyz. At the same time, they've been aiding BLK OUT stable mate Eddie Kingston in his feud against Kevin Steen and his associates. The BLK OUT will however get another shot as they face Tha Backseats in a 2/3 falls match. The Thomaselli Brothers (Sal and Vito Thomaselli) The Thomasellis debuted a week after younger brother Brandon pulled an upset victory over Joey Ryan in his debut, as back up for a potential attack. The "Iron Saints" have been engaged in a heated rivarly against Arrogance. The 3 Thomasellis have been making the rounds as a trio in many matches against the Dynasty. Up In Smoke (Cheech and Cloudy) The 2 young high flyers shocked many in their upset win against Chris Hero and Claudio Catagnoli, but the beating they got the next week took the wind out of their sales. The 2 youngsters have been the consistant rivals of Team Checkmate, but have also begun a small heated rivarly against F.I.S.T. Injured List Jigsaw The masked man has continued his successful team with El Generico since they lost the tag titles. The 2 men began a small rivarly against the Kings Of Wrestling, but the Kings took Jigsaw out, injuring him, tearing his PCL muscle, putting Jigsaw out for months. He's expected to return in early 2008. Scorpio Sky The "Muhammed Ali of eWr" became a boastful obnoxious superstar after joining the Dynasty. However, at a house show, Scorpio broke his wrist, only to return 2 months later, however on his return show, he suffered a major concussion via Arik Cannon's Glimmering Warlock. No idea when he's to return. Following the match, B-Boy signaled he would soon be wearing the CrusierX Title We go backstage where we see Michael Manna training for his main event title match, as the announcers hype his match later on. They then go to a precorded Joey Ryan promo on Mike Quackenbush, saying tonight he'd end Mike Quackenbush once and for all. Hype video for Super Dragon is then shown next. In our next "contest", Super Dragon destroyed Up In Smoke in roughly 3 minutes. Cheech and Cloudy had an early advantage on SD however, Dragon and his hard strikes allowed him to strike hard on the 2 youngsters, KOing Cloudy with his newest weapon, The Double Dragon (Pedigree into Tiger Bomb) and then nailing the Psycho Driver on Cheech, onto the prone body of Cloudy, piling both up for the win. Dragon Backstage we go, for a good Chuck Taylor promo on Frankie Kazarian. He claims tonight he'll retire Kazarian, and then kick a kid in the spine. In a very fast pased and hard hitting contest, The BLK OUT defeated F.I.S.T. The match saw 2 similar yet clashing styles collide hear. Match ends with Ruckus attempting his 450 Splash on Icarus, but Gran Akuma ran up to the top, nailied Ruckus and hit a huge Falcon Arrow off the top rope on Ruckus. Icarus rolls to the outside, as Akuma signals he's gonna nail a 450 of his own, but Ruckus trips Akuma up, which leads to Sabian coming out of nowhere and nailing a huge springboard hurricanrana onto Akuma, which needs to be seen to believed, for the victory. Robby Merino quickly enters the ring and celebrates with his charges, who will nodoubtly be intently watching the Tag Titles match later on. We then rush backstage as we've been told there was a comotion in the back. Cameras rush to the outside, as we see a sickening site of Kevin Steen, Franky The Mobster and Max Boyer beating up on Eddie Kingston with baseball bats in the parking lot. It appears as though Kingston had just arrived to the arena, as his bag was visable. Kingston is a bloody mess, as Steen wailis on him shouting "PAYBACK MOTHER ****ER PAYBACK" most likley for when Kingston injured Steen's brother. We then notice the footage is being shown in the arena, which leads to The BLK OUT rush outside to break up the battle, but the 3 Canadians had rushed off by the time they had gotten there. BLK OUT checks on their fallen brother, as the announcers ponder whether or not the Death Match tonight will happen. In a very heated grudge match, Chuck Taylor defeated Frankie Kazarian. A very fast pased and competitive match, saw quite a few comedy spots by Taylor, who'se getting over huge as the tough guy chicken**** heel but magnified 1000 times. Match ends with Taylor attempting the Awful Waffle on Kaz, who telegraphs it and nails a release Northen Lights Suplex, big offensive flurry by Kaz, nailing several spin kicks and clotheslines. Kaz signals for the Flux Compacitor, but Taylor sneaks out of it by grapevining his leg on the rope. Kazarian nails him with a left and whips him into the corner and attempts a splash but Taylor rolls out of the way, and in the rebound rolls up Kaz and puts his feet on the ropes, getting the cheap victory. Taylor rolls to the outside, celebrating his cheap win like he won a gold medal, as an incredibly pissed Kazarian fumes in the ring. Kazarian points at Taylor swearing vengence. Backstage we go, where Josh Matthews is standing by with Alex Shelley, who promises tonight once and for all he'll end his feud with Michael Manna, prove he's the best in the business and will walk out with his title. He then claims he hopes Chris Hero wins the Shot At Gold tonight because he wants to shut him up. He then notes he doesnt care who wins tonight because either way he'll defend against them and will defeat them at the biggest show of the year, WrestleFest 07. Hype video is then played documenting the Joey Ryan/Mike Quackenbush feud. In one of the best matches in recent history, Mike Quackenbush defeated Joey Ryan in a ladder match for the eWr CrusierX Title. The Dynasty was banned from ringside early on, after Karl Anderson and Arrogance attacked Quack, only to be fended off by Arik Cannon and The Thomasellis. From there on, we had a very fast pased, spot filled ladder match between these 2. The big spot saw Ryan hitting the Moustache Ride off the ladder onto 2 tables. The 2 wrestles tregged on for another 10 minutes until Ryan nailed a superkick on Quack and began to clib the ladder. However Quack made an epic comeback and the 2 men traded blows on the top of the ladder. Ryan began to get the better of Quack and signaled for another Moustache Rider, but Quack got out of it and proceded to nail an epic flipping slam off the ladder, which allowe Quack to climb up and retrive the belt to a HUGE pop from the crowd. Quack had a huge smile on his face as he celebrated he victory with Arik Cannon and all 3 Thomaselli Brothers. A hurt Ryan was incessed and rather sad as the Dynasty helped him to the back. Big hype video for WrestleFest 07, being held this year from the The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn, MI, one of the biggest arenas eWr has ever been in. In the second huge grudge match of the night, Claudio Castagnoli defeated Delirious in a very hard hitting match. The first time these 2 ever collided turned out to be a excelent match. Claudio didn't take Delirious seriously early on, but several near falls by Delirious scratched that out of his mind. Claudio attempted a huge superplex, but Delirious pushed him off, which allowed Delirious to nail Shadows Over Hell onto the prone Claudio. He then locked Claudio in the Cobr Clutch Crossface variation, but Claudio was able to rise and power out of it, nailing Delirious with a huge European Uppercut and then nails the Ricola Bomb for the victory. Claudio smirked as he sauntered out of the ring, talking into the camera "1 down, 1 to go", refrencing the big Shot At Love battle royal, as Delirious struggled to get back up. Promo from Davey Richards and Lance Storm, Lance announced tonight they were gonna prove they're the 2 best guys in the eWr by wining the tag titles, however Davey seems strangely quiet throughout the promo, which weirds Lance out clearly. The various hype videos for Perro Aguayo Jr. are shown, hyping his upcoming debut. In a very high flying affair, Perro Aguayo Jr defeated El Generico. Aguayo got a huge entrance and alot of heel heat, by acting like a super ****y heel, not taking any guff from the comical Generico. Aguayo looked very good in his debut. Match ends with Generico attempting a Yakuza kick but Aguayo moving out of the way and nailing a neckbreaker, and then applying La Lanza for the win. Aguayo taunted the crowd and put the boots to Generico before leaving. Hype video is shown for the eWr World Tag Team Title match. In an incredibly shocking encounter, The Backseat Boyz defeated Davey Richards and Lance Storm. The match started out with Storm and Richards dominating the Backseats. The crowd was 100% on their side. However, a swift Yakuza kick by Acid on Storm changed the pace of the match allowing the Backseats to take a big advantage. After a solid 10 minutes of domination, Storm crawled and inched his way and tagged in an egar Davey Richards, who cleaned house. Storm slowly rose, as did the Backseats following some initial blows from Davey. Storm signaled to Davey to take em out, but Richards shocked the entire audience by nailing Storm in the head with a stiff kick. The crowd sat with their jaws on the floor as a visably angry Richards raised the knocked out body of Storm and NAILED him with The DR Driver. Richards then spit on the fallen body of Storm and walked out to a HUGE chorus of boos as he flipped off the crowd and angrly smirked at the damage he had done. A shocked Backseat Boyz looked at the damage, and timidly double pinned the fallen Storm to retain their titles. As the walked to the back, Davey came out again, this time wielding a steel chair. Davey came in and then proceded to nail Lance several times before refrees and wrestlers peeled him away. The announcers were shocked as we went backstage. Backstage we go, where Josh Matthews is standing by with Larry Sweeney, Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero. Sweeney and Claudio announce tonight the KOW will take A Shot At Gold a second time and tonight it will be a clean sweep for the Kings. Matthews then wonders where leader Michael Manna is. An intense Hero takes the mic and claims he's training. Hero says he's won the Shot At Gold before and tonight the Kings will win it again. He's then asked what about leader Michael Manna and the world title situation. Hero claims Manna is training and announces tonight begins a new era for the Kings Of Wrestling, and tonight one way or another, the Kings Of Wrestling will regain the eWr World Heavyweight Title. In part one of the main event, Nigel McGuiness won the Shot At Gold Battle Royal. The rules were much like the Royal Rumble but in faster intervals. The first 2 combatants were Kevin Steen and Ruckus, who brawled for much of the battle. Notable eliminations saw Nelson Creed eliminate Larry Sweeney to the shock of all and Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero eliminated Delirious, Ruckus, Sabian, Creed and 3 others bythemselves. The crowd poped huge as Nigel was announced as the final entrant, returning finally from his AJPW stint. Nigel made a huge impact, eliminating Franky The Mobster and Max Boyer simultaniously. The final 4 combatants were Nigel, Hero, Claudio and Steen. The 3 heels teamed up on Nigel, until from the crowd stumbeled in Eddie Kingston, who attacked Steen, clotheslining him and eliminating him from the match and then brawling to the backstage area. The Kings doubleteamed Nigel for several minutes. Claudio went for a bycyle kick on Nigel to eliminate him but Nigel ducked out of the way and Claudio got crotched on the ropes and then clotheslined out. An incensed Hero blindsided Nigel and the 2 went toe to toe for several minutes. Hero went for a Yakuza but was backdroped by Nigel to the ring apron, Hero nailed Nigel in the head with an elbow and locked him in the cravate and signaled for a cravate plex to the outside, but Nigel struck Hero in the back of the head with a lariat, which broke up the cravate and the NAILED Hero with a huge lariat, knocking him to the outside for the win. The crowd went crazy as Nigel celebrated his win. A pissed Hero smirked as he went backstage as Nigel celebrated with the fans. Another WrestleFest promo shown, followed by an EPIC Shelley/Manna feud video. We then go back to the ring, where the steel cage is assembled and we are ready for a huge main event. In the main event of the evening, Alex Shelley successfully defended his eWr World Heavyweight Title against Michael Manna in an excelent 30 minute match. The crowd was extremly hot for this one and got very into it immediately. Manna got busted open early on after a sick looking drop toehold into the cage. Both men wrestled a very brutal back and forth contest, with Shelley getting busted wide open following Shelley diving off the side of the cage for a splash but nailing the King's Crown, which nearly ended the match itself. Several huge highspots including a MannaT off the top rope and Shelley nailing a super sunsetflip off the top of the cage. Somehow neither of these ended the match. Shelley attempts the Shellshock but Manna reverses it and nails the MannaT. Manna begins to climb the top of the cage to escape, however he slowly climbs up, which allows Shelley to recover fast and begin to climb up himself. Both men arenow at the top corner of the cage and a huge slugfest insues. Manna attempts to Superplex Shelley, essentially puting Shelley on the outside of the cage and allowing Manna to sit on the cage;'s corner. As Manna stands, Shelley decks him in the gut and crotches Manna. Shelley, holding the cage for dear life turns around and delivers an ungoldy and forever highlight worthy Sliced Bred #2 off the top of the cage. The crowd watched this in awe as Joey Styles and Raven sat in silence over one of the sickest highspots in recent history. An enormous "Holy ****" chant instantly started up. Shelley then dramatically inched over and pinned Manna.....1.....2.....3!! Shelley retains!!! The feud is now over. Shelley staggers up and holds up his title, as medics rush the ring to take Manna out. As he rises up, Manna glares and Shelley and begrudgely extends his hand. Shelley looks around the arena, and shakes the hand of Manna quickly. Manna instantly turns around and is escorted to the back as Shelley celebrates in the ring as the cage is risen. Joey Styles thanks the fans for watching as the PPV comes to a close. Until... The crowd is stunned as Chris Hero, with a very determined look on his face makes his way to the ring, holding a piece of paper which he gives to refree Bryce Remsberg, who he has brought down with him. Joey Styles ponders why Hero is out here, but Raven seems confident he knows. Hero slides into the ring and glares at a confused Shelley. Ring Announcer Bob Artse announces that Hero is enacting his Shot At Gold and will now face Shelley for the eWr Title. Shelley looks at Artese, shoutin "What??". Suddenly Hero blindsides the battle damaged Shelley who's barley able to stand with a running eblow to the back of the head, bringing Shelley to his knees instantly. He raises Shelley and whips him into the ropes and nails a big Yakuza Kick. He then raises the once again bleeding Shelley and locks him in the Cravate and then delivers a CravatePlex. Hero, now smiling raises Shelley and plants him with Hero's Welcome. Hero goes for the cover. 1......2........3!!! CHRIS HERO IS THE NEW eWr WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!! Hero grabs the belt and after breifly staring at it begins to jump around an celebrate with his new title. Fellow Kings Of Wrestling Claudio Catagnoli and Larry Sweeney rush the ring and huge and congradulate their partner. Hero, Sweeney and Claudio get into a camera's face with big smiles as Hero says "Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so...new world champ baby. New age for the KOWs". Sweeney unleashes his signature big laugh as the 3 go back to celebrating. Shelley is now on the outside of the ring struggeling to get up. Joey Styles is in shock over Hero being our new champion, saying he took the least respectable way to getting in, but Raven notes disrespectable or not Hero's the new champ and it was the smartest way possible. The PPV closes with Hero in the center with Sweeney on his left and Claudio on his right, holding up his eWr World Heavyweight Title.
If you don't already know, we have a new eWr World Heavyweight Champion and his name is Chris Hero. Pyro hits and we pan across the sold out Hammerstein Ballroom as Joey Styles and Raven hype the night's show and our opening main event and Chris Hero's big announcement. Suddenly out combatant's music hits and ringside we go In our opening contest and main event, Alex Shelley, Nigel McGuiness and Delirious defeated The Kings Of Wrestling (Chris Hero, Michael Manna and Claudio Castagnoli) in a very emotional and hard hitting affair after McGuiness nailed the Jawbreaker Lariat on Manna after a solid 25 minutes of action. Post match, a visably pissed Hero and Claudio ditched a KO'd Manna in the ring. Joey Styles loudly wonders Manna's losing streak continues, but is it causing disention in the ranks of the Kings Of Wrestling. Backstage we go, where we see Davey Richards arriving to the arena. He's smirking and wearing sunglasses. His announcement is then hyped as we go to break. Back from break, as the all new "eWr BattleGround Bruise Of The Week", brought to us by Alltell Wireless, shows Super Dragon's domination of Up In Smoke at November Pain. Familar music hits and we're on our way. Super Dragon destroyed Nelson Creed after nearly breaking his neck with the Psycho Driver. Backstage we go where Josh Matthews is standing by with B-Boy and Mack. Matthews inquires about B-Boy's thoughts on Mike Quackenbush's title win. B-Boy claims he doesn't care who the champ is. Now that he's the number one contender for the belt, no matter who it is they shall recieve a Drive By. Even backerstage we go into the Kings Of Wrestling's lockeroom, where a party layout is set up. Hero and CLaudio are loungeing around as Hero polishes his title. Larry Sweeney is chatting up on his cell phone, calling for more champagne and the post show bash that is to be held. However we do not see Michael Manna in the room. Intersting. In a high flying tag team battle Arrogance defeated The Thomaselli Brothers after Scott Lost nailed the Steiner Screwdriver on a dazed Sal Thomaselli, who had just been nailed with a stiff superkick by Chris Bosh. Backstage we go to a pre recorded Backseat Boyz promo, in which they again call themselves the best in the business and hype up their win against Storm and Richards. They then claim they aren't afraid of The BLK OUT and challenge Ruckus and Sabian to a match next week in their hometown of Philly. In a very exciting contest eWr CrusierX Champion Mike Quackenbush defeated Brandon Thomaselli with the Super Quackensmash. Following the contest, the two men shook hands. As Quack celebrated, out from the back ran former champ Joey Ryan, who blindsided Quack and a brawl began to errupt. Suddenly from the back came B-Boy and Mack. Mack came in and layed both Ryan and Quack out stiff lariats. B-Boy then performed two Drive Bys on both men. He then picked up Quack and held his belt up to his face and proclaimed himself as the next champion. We now go to the post November Pain Control Center, where the entire show is recapped, however the center is cut off in mid airing as our cameras go to the outside streets of New York City, as we see Kevin Steen and Eddie Kingston brawling in the parking lot. The 2 men procede to brawl from the Hammerstein Parking Lot into the arena. Suddenly in mid brawl, refrees and security guards run down to break the fight up. Out from the back comes eWr GM Al Snow. Snow grabs a mic. Enough...Dammit Enough. You 2 have caused me way too many damn problems. You guys nearly get our shows shut down for fighting outside. Steen, you've nearly killed him with a car. Eddie you punched out a 15 year old. And you 2 have shed more blood and done some of the most hatefull things I've ever seen any human beings do to each other...And or my sake, for the fans' sake and for your sake...it ends. That's right. I'm laying the law down. At WrestleFest, at The Palace Of Auburn Hills, for only the 2nd time in eWr History...it will be Eddie Kingston vs. Kevin Steen, the match that ends this feud, no more after this....and it will be held inside of Satan's Steel Cage!!! The crowd pops huge as Kingston smiles as Steen looks upset. The 2 conflicting faces are seen as we go to break. In our next contest, Perro Aguayo Jr defeated Sexxxy Eddy after nailing him with La Lanza. Following the match he begins to put the boots to Eddy, until El Generico makes the save. A pissed Generico looks back on a smirking Aguayo. Backstage we go where we see Davey RIchards about to make his way out. Davey Richards enters to "Charisma" by WASP to an enormous heel reaction. Davey grabs a mic and takes off his sunglasses. Ever since Sunday, everybody has been asking me...everybody has been posting on the internet message boards they're all saying the same thing..."Why Davey Why?" "Why did you turn on the Canadian Superstar Lance Storm, we all looove him." Well, it looks like to me all you idiots are blind. You see, ever since Lance Storm got here to the eWr and he became my "mentor" all he has done was hold me back. He saw that Davey Richards had all the potential in the world. He saw that Davey Richards has all the tools to make it in this business. He saw that Davey Richards was better than him. So what did he do? He took me under his wing, and I'll admit it, I wanted to learn from him, but as time went on, I saw him for what he really was, an old hunk of junk afraid to lose his spot to a much better, younger, faster, smarter, better looking model. He got me thrown into a feud I didn't want a part of and we lost nearly every match we were in because of him. Everytime we lost it was because of him. And with every loss, the Davey Richards brand would fall more and more. And I'm done with it. At November Pain, it all ended...it all came to a head...show the footage (footage of Richards' attack is shown). Now as you can see Lance Storm isn't here, but Davey Richards is. And tonight, I make my Declaration of Independence. No longer will Davey Richards be a sidekick or a second banana. From now on, Davey Richards, the Young Gun of eWr, the evolution of the revolution, it's all about me and all you so called wrestlers out there are gonna have to deal with me. Richards smirks and drops the mic as he poses for the crowd. Raven and Joey Styles run down the matches for next week's BattleGround signed so far as they hype the Chris Hero celebration which is up next. The ring is set up with steamers, a big carpet, basically set up for a big party. The Kings led by Sweeney and Claudio, with Manna in the background strut to the ring. After a big intro by Sweeney, Hero is given the mic as fireworks and confetti blast out to a huge chorus of boos. After taking in the accolades, Hero picks up the mic. Thank you for the rousing applause. At November Pain, I told you people the Kings Of Wrestling would regain the eWr Title. I told you people Alex Shelley couldn't beat me. I told you people we are the most dominant group in the business. And I was right about all three things. Well mostly right. You see in recent months, the Kings Of Wrestling, well lets just say we hit a skid...wait a minute, I shouldn't say this. Actually only one of us hit a skid (looks at Manna). And that skid ends now. Michael Manna, Stevie Richards...when Chris Hero joined up with Claudio Castagnoli and Larry Sweeney here in eWr, we formed THE Kings Of Wrestling and we called ourselves this because the three of us are among the three best wrestlers in the business. It's not a gimmick, it's not a tagline, it's the truth. We are the true wrestling elite. And when Tom Carter signed you to a contract, the higher ups here saddled us with you. We never wanted you. We were forced to damage our names and reps by having you're washed up ass associated with us. (Manna now looks pissed and ready to strike). Whoa whoa big man, calm down I'm not done. Sure you had a title run, but it's simply because the old champ went to the WWE. And sure you had some impressive wins, but all you've been doing now is showing your true colors and losing. You lost the belt, you lost in Japan, you lost tonight. Everything you do you lose at. And quite frankly we're done with it, we're done playing with the company, we're about ourselves and taking this place over. Mike, this is what we like to call a coup de gras. You are looking at not only the world champ, but also the NEW LEADER of the Kings Of Wrestling. And Mike, as my first act, you are gone. Mixed reaction, Manna procedes to slap Hero across the face to a huge pop as Claudio and Sweeney attack Manna. Hero begins to smirk as he joins in on the attack nailing Manna with the title belt on his skull. Hero picks the mic up again, as Sweeny and Claudio hold up a now bloodied Manna. So yeah Stevie, you are no longer a King...but don't feel bad because you've already been replaced....We skowered the world and we found someone who is on our level. He is absolutly the best in what he does. He is the most dominant, most feared and has been, unlike you Stevie, consistantly successfull. He maybe a little different, but he is exactly like us. Ladies and Gentlemen....I present to you...the NEWEST MEMBER OF THE KINGS OF WRESTLING.....The King Of The Deathmatch himself.......NECRO BUTCHER!!! The crowd is shocked as Necro Butcher, barefoot and shaggy, holding a steel chair enters the ring. Necro procedes to punch Manna in the face several times and then smash him in the head with the chair. Necro then goes under the ring and takes out a taped together package of light tubes. The other 3 Kings are loving this as they put the boots to Manna. Necro puts the tubes ontop of the chair and procedes to nail a SICK Tigerbomb through the lightbulbs on the chair. Necro gives Hero another a chair and the 2 nail a sick conchairto on Manna, which was then duplcated by Sweeney and Claudio. The crowd is in stunned silence as the now 4 Kings of Wrestling pose together over a fallen and injured Michael Manna. Joey Styles closes the show in shock Chris Hero delivered on his announcement, we have a new leader in the Kings Of Wrestling and Necro Butcher is in eWr and not only is he in the Kings Of Wrestling but he has just taken out Michael Manna.
Wrestling Observer Live; 11-27-07 It looks as though the wrestling scene is gaining steam yet again. As the ratings have show this week, Raw garnered it's highest ratings in over 5 years following the shocking return of Scott Hall to the WWE after being from his TNA Contract, aiding Triple H following an attack from Umaga and Randy Orton. TNA Impact's ratings broke a 1.5 for the first time following the TV debut of Booker T against Robert Roode. And the fallout of November Pain on eWr BattleGround which saw the debut of Necro Butcher garnered it's highest rating yet of 2.5. And with this apparent upswing in the business, it seems as though all 4 major US promotions are jockeying for position. WWE made waves with the signing of Hall, along with the signings of former TNA Tag Champs The Naturals to devolpmental deals. TNA saw the debuts of Booker T and Aaron Agulara on Impact. Even ROH just announced that former WWE stars Nick Dinsmore & Joey Matthews along with former TNA stars Jimmy Rave and Jonny Fairplay had signed contracts with the promotion. However, of the big 4, eWr seems to be doing the most with the least, as a hefty majority of their roster is home grown independant stars. The addition of the Necro Butcher to the roster brings a new dimension to a roster ruled with a technical/high flying style. Speaking of eWr, lets get to the various news and notes and rumors going across the world of elite Wrestling revolution. eWr officals are very high on Chris Hero as champion, saying as much as he has "endless potential" as a top heel in eWr. The eWr international expansion campaign took both a step forward and backwards this week. Several eWr stars made their way to Mexico City to formally announce eWr's new working relationship with the AAA promotion. The plans of the relationship will have eWr send several of it's bigger stars to a few of big time AAA shows and will also will send several devolpmental stars down there to train and compete. In turn, AAA will send several of it's younger stars to eWr full time to devolp their skills and make a name for themselves in the US before going back to Mexico. We've already learned that AAA star Laredo Kid will be the first wrestler making his way to the US. However, it seems as though the relationship between eWr and All Japan is dead in the water. This is due to shocking hiring of Simon Inoki as president of the promotion. Inoki was the main reason for Minoru Suzuki and Yosohiro Takayama's dropping the tag titles. Essentially Inoki wouldn't allow the 2 to sign a 6 month contract with eWr so they can hold the belts. Inoki's addition to AJPW shocks nearly all in the Puro scene as an Inoki now leads the Baba promotion, think Eric Bischoff becoming CEO of the WWE. We've learned that the schuelded AJPW inclusion in WrestleFest is off, and eWr is now in talks with Dragon Gate to bring several of it's stars to WrestleFest. Expect Larry Sweeney to return to ring action soon as his injured shoulder has been healing well the past month.

eWr BattleGround Preview This week's edition of BattleGround will be one of the most action packed big name edition of all time as BattleGround hails from the city of brotherly love Philadelphia, PA. Last week, the world of eWr was turned upside down as Chris Hero took over leadership of the Kings Of Wrestling from Michael Manna, kicked Manna out and replaced him with the debuting Necro Butcher and then all 4 KOW severly injured Manna. This week we will see the in ring debut of Necro Butcher as he will face the masked Delirious. We will also learn more on the condition of Michael Manna. We have also learned that Alex Shelley has a big announcement to make, he will make this announcement following his match against Claudio Castagnoli in the evening's main event. What could Shelley's alleged "earth shattering" announcement be? Last week, Davey Richards told the fans just why he attacked Lance Storm, so he could be the "superstar" he's destined to be. Davey will put those boasts to the test as he faces Arik Cannon. The eWr World Tag Team Champions, Philly's own Backseat Boyz issued a challenge to the BLK OUT and these 2 top teams will face each other. We will also see a six man tag team match as Frankie Kazarian teams with Up In Smoke to take on Chuck Taylor and F.I.S.T. All this and much more this Saturday at 8PM on eWr BattleGround only on MyNetwork TV. Confirmed Matches Alex Shelley vs. Claudio Castagnoli Necro Butcher vs. Delirious Backseat Boyz vs. The BLK OUT Davey Richards vs. Arik Cannon Frankie Kazarian, Cheech and Cloudy vs. Chuck Taylor, Gran Akuma & Icarus

eWr BattleGround Results
The show begins with a recap of the events which concluded last week's edition of BattleGround. We then are shown footage earlier today of all 4 Kings Of Wrestling arriving to the building in a big limo, all smilies on their faces. Hype job by Raven and Joey as we go ringside for our opening contest. In a high flying opening contest, Hallowicked scored a huge upset over Max Boyer in his return to eWr after Boyer attempted the Fashion Statement, only to have Hallowicked roll out and nail the Monster Mash for the win. Following the match, a pissed Boyer had a huge temper tantrum in the center of the ring. Backstage we go where we see the BLK OUT "training" behind a big cloud of smoke as we go to break. We come back to the "eWr BattleGround Bruise Of The Week", brought to us by Alltell Wireless, showing how the Backseat Boyz won their last bout against the BLK OUT. Out comes The Backseat Boyz to a good reaction in their hometown of Philadelphia. The Backseats then procede to cut a heel promo on their hometown, claiming that by staying in Philly their whole lives they had seriously stunted their growth as the "superstars"they are and that Philly produces nothing but losers and that's why they're gone from there. This leads to the BLK OUT coming out and our next match is on. The BLK OUT defeated The Backseat Boyz in a very heated grudge match after Ruckus pulled Sabian out of the Double Backseat Bomb, allowing them to nail stero dropkicks on the Backseats. Ruckus and Sabian then nails double leaping enzuguri on Trent Acid, taking him to the outside. They then nail a variation of Natural Selection, ending with a double back cracker they dubbed the "Roach Clip" for the victory. As BLK OUT celebrated, they signaled they would soon be wearing the tag titles. Backstage we go where Josh Matthews is standing by with the number one contender for the eWr World Heavyweight Title, Nigel McGuiness. Nigel McGuiness, last week you scored the huge pinfall victory in the big six man tag team match. Since you've returned and won the Shot At Gold battle royal, you've been the hottest wrestler in all of eWr, going undefeated and even beating Chris Hero. With WrestleFest07 a month away, what are your thoughts? Nigel looks at Matthews and smiles. Josh, you're right. Normally I don't like to toot my own horn but since I got back here, no one has been able to pin my shoulders to the mat or make me submit. You see, while I was away, I rediscovered my discipline. Getting screwed out of the eWr title the first time and never getting my rematch did something to me, it made me feel as though I wasn't the same Nigel McGuiness. But now, the old Nigel McGuiness is back, no more second banana, no more background player. At the biggest show in eWr history, I will make history when I win the title I deserve. Chris Hero, I know you're watching this and I want you to train as hard as you ever did before because you're gonna be in the fight of your life and you can bring all your cronies, either way Hero, you're going to lose...and then you will know that I am Nigel McGuiness....and I'm in it to win it. Backerstage we go where we see Delirious crawling to the ring as hour one's main event is up next. In a wild brawl, Necro Butcher defeated Delirious following a Tiger Bomb on a chair. Before the match, we learned that as a result of Necro's eWr talent contract, ALL of his matches are "relaxed rules", meaning weapons would be legal for all of his matches. Following the match, Necro bashed Delirious with a chair about his ribs and head as the Kings Of Wrestling walked out and applauded their new member. Medics then rush to the aid of Delirious as Necro celebrates with his KOW compadres. Back from break we go, where we see Chuck Taylor standing by with F.I.S.T. HAAAAA Chuck Taylor...back again here in Philadelphia...along with my 2 amigos, my pals, my partners tonight The I Man Icarus and Silent but Violent Gran Akuma...FIIISSSSTTTT baby. And tonight, ha ha the 3 of us are gonna take on those chumps Cheech and Cloudy and the Spotasarous Rex Frankie Kazarian. Frankie Kazarian, you old man, don't wanna quit so us young pretty guys can take over while you rub your feet at the home, watching Matlock and playing BINGO. Tonight, I'm gonna beat you up, I'm gonna throw you down some stairs, kick you in the face, set you on fire then...BAMMM Awful Waffle. And as for Chong and Sunny,my pals here have no problem beating up a hippie and a fat girl. Oh man this is great, cause tonight FISTaylor is gonna scare the elderly, punch children and then after the show...we're going to Outback!!!. Taylor laughs and walks away as a confused F.I.S.T follow him. We now go to a video where we see the documentation of the ending of the CrusierX Title match last week. It is then announced that at WrestleFest, it will be a triangle match as Mike Quackenbush defends his title against Joey Ryan and B-Boy. We then see Arik Cannon walking ringside, he faces Davey Richards, up next. Davey Richards defeated Arik Cannon in a total squash match after nailing the DR Driver for the win. Richards played with Cannon the entire time. Post match he snot rocketed on the fallen body of Cannon as he taunted the crowd. Backstage we go where we see Alex Shelley walking to the ring with a determined look on his face. Josh Matthews runs up to Shelley. Alex, Alex...before your match...what is this announcment...anywords. Shelley quickly looks back at Matthews. It's gonna be big...just wait. We go to break as our main event is next. In the main event of the evening, Alex Shelley defeated Claudio Castagnoli in an explosive matchup. Claudio nails the Clock Stopper on Shelley and calls for the Ricola Bomb. Shelley however blocks it and nails a hurricanrana. He goes for the Shellshock but Claudio reverses it and goes for the Ricola Bomb again but Shelley roles out and nails a suprise Sliced Bread for the win. As soon as Shelley's hand is raised, All 3 other Kings of Wrestling storm the ring and attack Shelley. However out from the back runs in Nigel McGuiness with a chair, who nails Hero and Necro in the head with it as Claudio and Sweeney bail out, Nigel lariats Hero to the outside as Shelley rises. Shelley pats Nigel on the back as he grabs a mic. Hero....Kings,you think you got the best of me...the best of us? I think not. As for my announcement....I'll make it short and sweet....Chris Hero...I am enacting my rematch clause for my title. The crowd pops huge as Nigel claps as Hero looks insensed. And I watch this rematch at.....WrestleFest. Shelley drops the mic, as Nigel looks shocked and confused. Hero is in total shock and horror. Shelley and McGuiness are now exchanging looks as Nigel holds his arms out, asking what the deal is. The show ends with a pissed Hero and KOW standing in awe as Shelley and Hero look at each other. Excerpts From Wrestling Observer Live; 12-4-07 ...Once again, the big news today is Low Ki is gone from TNA. Now lets go to the eWr for a few minutes. With another show in the books, the little promotion that could continues to defy the odds. Our sources in the Detroit area is telling us that tickets for WrestleFest have been selling extremly well, with nearly half of the Palace Of Auburn Hills sold out. Keep in mind with only 3 matches signed, it's rare for a promotion to pull this off. Ratings for BattleGround went up another .2 points from last week, making it once agian the highest rated program on MyNetwork TV. Speaking of MyNetwork, a unique situation has taken placed concerning the hot Eddie Kingston/Kevin Steen. MyNetwork has essentially told eWr they want the Steen/Kingston feud to end as soon as possible as they've been deemed too violent for BattleGround, it appears as though eWr will now air any content related to their feud on their website. eWr devolpmental news, it's been confirmed that eWr signed longtime Chikara personality UltraMantis Black to a contract. They have also signed Boston area star John Walters and UK grappler Martin Stone. This week on BattleGround we saw Alex Shelley announce he'd be enacting his rematch clause at WrestleFest. The alleged plan is for a Wrestlemania X type situation with Hero serving as Yokozuna and Nigel and Shelley playing the roles of Bret and Luger. Speaking of Shelley, not only did Shelley confirm to us he has been talking to several TNA stars about eWr, but he has also gotten long time friends and trainers Nate Matheson and Truth Martini signed as agents. One final last piece of news, the AAA talent trade is offically a go as Laredo Kid and Mentallo bid farewell to AAA last saturday in a big show at Arena Mexico and will most likley debut in eWr in the next 2 weeks. Now onto the the other big story this week, the return of the legendary Kenta Kobashi to the ring following a bout with kidney cancer.....

eWr BattleGround Preview The BattleGround moves south to the Cricket Arena in Charlotte, NC in a huge night of action. Last week, Alex Shelley dropped a bombshell when he announced he was enacting is eWr World Title rematch clause at WrestleFest 07 against current champion Chris Hero, much to the shagrin of the number one contender Nigel McGuiness. Over the past week eWr officals have been scrambling with what to do with the situation and we have learned an decision has been made and eWr GM Al Snow will formally announce it this week. This week, however all three men involved in this situation will be in action. In the night's main event, eWr World Heavyweight Champion Chris Hero will defend his title against the always dangerous El Generico. In a match that will definetly be hard hitting, Nigel McGuiness will take on the returning Franky The Mobster. Alex Shelley will also take on Canadian star Max Boyer in a high flying affair. Last week, Davey Richards sent a message after destroying Arik Cannon. The arrogant Richards will be in action again this week as he faces Sexxxy Eddy. Last week we also learned of a special 3 man triangle match at WrestleFest for the CrusierX Title. We will see the 3 men involved compete in a special round robin series in the next 3 weeks until WrestleFest. This week we will see Joey Ryan take on Mike Quackenbush in another chapter of their feud. We will also see Perro Aguyao Jr. take on Brandon Thomaselli. All this and much more this Saturday at 8PM on eWr BattleGround only on MyNetwork TV. Confirmed Matches eWr World Heavyweight Title: (C) Chris Hero vs. El Generico Nigel McGuiness vs. Franky The Mobster Alex Shelley vs. Max Boyer Davey Richards vs. Sexxy Eddy Joey Ryan vs. Mike Quackenbush Perro Aguayo Jr. vs. Brandon Thomaselli

eWr BattleGround Results
The show opens with a breif video package documenting Alex Shelley's announcement last week. It then shows the varying reactions of Chris Hero and Nigel McGuiness, then showing the officals of eWr disscussing the matter and we are then shown that a final announcement concerning the matter will be announced tonight. Hype job by Raven and Joey as we go ringside for our opening contest. In our opening contest and the first match of their round robin series, Mike Quackenbush defeated Joey Ryan in a very entertaining high flying contest, after Quack scored with the Quackendriver II for the win. Quack celebrated with his title as B-Boy appeared in the entrance way and signaled the belt would soon be his. Backstage we go where we see Nigel McGuiness arriving in the building. He seems visably upset. Josh Matthews runs up to Nigel and asks him what's up. What's wrong? What's wrong? Josh, I think you know what's wrong. What's wrong is that I'm being undercut. But whatever, tonight I've got a match to win and then I will find out what's really happening here. Nigel then makes a left and enters his lockeroom as we go to break. Back from break, where Joey and Raven announce that fans should visit ewr.com to see what MyNetwork won't let you see, the Eddie Kingston/Kevin Steen feud continue to play out. They then hype WrestleFest 07, 3 weeks away from the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn, MI. Back down ringside we go for our next contest. In a tag team contest to determine the number one contender for the eWr World Tag Team Titles, The BLK OUT and F.I.S.T wrestled to a double countout in a hard hitting match which then turned into an all out brawl, which resulted in a double countout. This led to tag champs the Backseat Boyz running down to ringside to make fun of both teams and claim they now have no opponents at WrestleFest. This led to eWr GM Al Snow to apear on the MegaTron and announce the Backseats now had 2 opponents at WrestleFest as it will now be Backseats vs. BLK OUT vs. F.I.S.T for the tag titles, and it will be an Ultimate Ladder Match, meaning anything is legal in this one. This leads to the 2 challengers to smirk as the Backseats look like they've seen a ghost. Back from break to the "eWr BattleGround Bruise Of The Week", brought to us by Alltell Wireless, where we see Necro Butcher's total domination of Delirious last week. We then go to a breif Necro hype video, at it's end we are sent to the Butcher infront of a camera, with the other Kings of Wrestling behind him. You people see me and you think, "what the hell are you doing here" you wonder why I'm in the Kings Of Wrestling. You proably doubt I'm a wrestler based on my apperance. Well....I don't give a damn what you people think. I am violence. I hurt people. I cause pain. I am the best in the world at this. I can beat anyone here up. Ask Delirious...hell ask Stevie Richards, I beat him so bad no one has seen him since. I am the King Of The Deathmatch. And I along with my friends back here are going to run this joint and show everyone that we are the best in the world. And I'm putting everyone out there in the lockeroom on notice. Necro is here, run for the hills, cause one you let me out of my cage, I'm gonna pile the bodies to the sky. Back ringside, Perro Aguayo Jr. defeated Brandon Thomaselli in a fast pased contest after nailing La Lanza for the victory. Aguayo celebrates in the ring, as we go backstage where we see Alex Shelley walking to the ring for hour one's main event. In hour one's main event, Alex Shelley defeated Max Boyer in a fast pased match after nailing the Shellshock for the win. During the bout, Nigel McGuiness was in the entrance way watching the match. Following the match, he applauded Shelley before walking to the back. Back from break, we revisit Davey Richards' match last week as we then go backringside for our next contest. Davey Richards destroyed Sexxxy Eddy after polishing off this squash with the DR Driver. Following the match, Davey put the boots to Eddy...until from the crowd ran in LANCE STORM who attacked Richards like a man possessed. Storm tackled Davey and beratted him with a series of lefts and rights until Davey rolled to the outside and ran up the ramp. Lance then took the mic. I'm gonna make this short and sweet....Davey Richards, I want to kick your ass and I want it at WrestleFest. Storm then slammed the mic off the mat and breifly posed in the ring as the crowd goes absolutly wild. Back from break, WrestleFest is again hyped, now announcing Lance Storm will indeed face Davey Richards. We then are taken to a breif hype video for the Laredo Kid, hyping him as the new breed of luchador. Ringside we go for our next contest. Nigel McGuiness defeated Franky The Mobster in a stiff affair after Nigel unleshed the Tower Of London on Franky for the win. During this match as well, Alex Shelley walked out and scouted Nigel. Following the match, Shelley entered the ring and shook the hand of Nigel, as the 2 seemingly have cleared the air between them. Backstage we go where we see Josh Matthews standing by with Chris Hero and the Kings Of Wrestling. Before Josh is even able to speak, Hero grabs the mic as Claudio and Sweeney and Necro push Matthews off screen. I already know what you're gonna ask me Josh.... "Chris Hero...your thoughts on that sore loser Alex Shelley using his rematch clause the same night you have to face Nigel McLariat." My thoughts are this...I don't care. The reason I don't care is because I'm Chris Hero, I'm the World Heavyweight Champion, I've defeated both guys, without effort. You see, people are jealous that I and my associates here are the hottest comodity in wrestling today. ANd they want to attach themselves to us via feuds and stuff so they can attempt to be on my level. McGuiness, I've got you scouted, you're nothing. Clothesline, clothesline clothesline...not alot to figure out. Shelley, as for you, training for you involves me playing Wrestlemania 2000 on my N64 for 3 hours and memorizing Essa Rios' move set. Neither one of you are on my level and whatever Leif Cassidy's decision is, it will end the same way, both of you hearing the same announcement...."Your winner...and STILLLL eWr World Heavyweight Chaaammpiiooonnn Chriiiiisssss HEEEERRRRROOOO!!!!" and this title staying right where it is now. Now boys, I hope you didn't leave yet...I want you guys to watch what I'm gonna do to El Generico and think of it as a mere appitizer to what'll happen. Later bitches. In our main event for the eWr World Heavyweight Title (C) Chris Hero defeated El Generico in an extended squash with Generico getting little offense in, ending with Hero nailing the Hero's Welcome for the win. Hero celebrated until GM Al Snow's music hits. Snow entered the ring and called out Nigel and Shelley, who both came down to the ring. Snow took the mic again. So let's get down to business, last week Alex here announced he wanted to renact his rematch clause at WrestleFest, despite the fact Nigel and Hero had already been booked for WrestleFest. So for the past week, our top officals have been in closed door meetings to determine what was going to happen. And here is what we have come up with. Firstly, as for Alex Shelley's using of his rematch clause, we have determined that it IS a doable act for WrestleFes, which leads us to our final ruling on this matter, as a result of this, the main event of WrestleFest 07 will be Chris Hero defending his eWr World Heavyweight Title against Alex Shelley.....AND Nigel McGuiness in a triangle match...the winner of the first fall becomes the champion. And next week gentlemen, we will have a contract signing to make this offical. Thank you all very much. Snow leaves the ring as the show closes with the 3 men now involved in what could be the biggest match in eWr history engaged in a huge staredown.
