It really sucks that we've lost Kowalski, but remember that he was eighty-one years old, and left behind a great legacy in the students he's trained. He lived a longer life than most of his contemporaries, and a fuller one than probably anyone on this board.

He trained Triple H, one of the greatest today.
scorpion
I'm sorry, I should have been more detailed. He was taken off life support and was non-responsive, but I haven't confirmed that he was pronounced yet.

Hard to forget these are humans too... and they all must go eventually. My prayers go out to the killer and his family.

Remianen
Hmm. You speak Polish?
Depends on how you define 'speak'. I can cuss very well in Polish (and in several other languages). But I have quite a few Polish friends and Killer Kowalski was a legend amongst his people. Not Pope John Paul, mind, but still an example held up by many people in his generation as a person who succeeded while maintaining his integrity. Thus, when news of his passing broke, there was much moaning, wailing, and gnashing of teeth amongst several of my friends' grand (and great-grand) parents. So I got the phrase from them. :) But honestly, I don't feel sad or sorry Killer's gone. You'd be beyond blessed if you left behind the kind of legacy he did. Most people want to be remembered positively when they pass, few people leave behind a score of students whose success and skill reflects on their teacher. From Triple H to Nikki Roxx, April Hunter, & Amanda Storm, when someone says "I was trained by Killer Kowalski", there's an expectation that comes with that. He did well. Now it's time to rest. Can't begrudge him that.

Bad Luck Brett
Two things I have inherited from my father; A love for baseball and classic heel wrestlers. One of my fondest childhood memories is driving in the car on the way to a day game at Fenway Park and hearing stories about Killer Kowalski, my father's favorite. A true hall of famer in every sense of the word.
