Marshall
Does anyone know why Edge was cut from this week's Smackdown in the UK? We missed the entire last segment, and having watched it online since, can't understand really why it was cut. Edge is an outstanding performer, but his performance wasn't that disturbing to get cut from a late night broadcast. Any ideas?

I felt that last week's edition was far more aggressive, but we saw that in it's entirety.
James Casey
I suspect that there may have been complaints about last week - it was pretty heavy stuff, and Sky may have trimmed Edge again this week just in case. I was pretty confused, though, to have the whole last segment missing. Still, Colt Cabana!

Self
Hmm. Thought that might have been him... Interesting. I liked his butt-bump move. Especially because it had "Pow" written on his ass. It's like he put some thought into it. :) Poor position on the card to come in at though. At least he got a promo, which is more than I can say for whatshisface who Big Show knocked out. djthefunkchris
Let's see, Scotty Goldman or Colt Cabana. Which sounds sillier? Please... You know he can't keep his indie name unless it's his REAL name.

Ton of wrestlers names sound nothing like their real name. What is your point? Also I only asked not to say you are wrong about your first point on silliness. shamelessposer
Okay, I saw the Scotty Goldman debut and its my first time seeing a Kendrick match since Kendrick got traded. Could someone tell me whose idea it was for The Brian Kendrick to combine the mannerisms of Shawn Michaels and Heath Ledger's Joker? Because that guy needs to get a promotion. Or VERY close to real names is why I made that remark. I wasn't trying to be cute or anything masterded, you know me better then that. I was just pointing out something I didn't think you were seeing when you read my post is all. My point about the indie names, is that they "might" use them if they are going to just job a week or two, but ussually they change their names completely for WWE Rights to their names and such. Someone like him could end up to be the next "Rock" or something, so WWE needs to change his name so they can sell all those "Greatest of Scotty Goldman" DVD's in the future. So no, I wasn't really being sarcastic... at least not about that. I just thought it was silly to be upset about the name they chose. I thought the name was very close to his real name, and that the last name actually sounds famous already. I guess what I'm saying is I think the name is strong for him, for right now anyways.... I can almost here is now... "GOLDMAN WINS! GOLDMAN WINS! GOLDMAN WINS!" Just saying... It does have a "familiar" feel to it (Goldberg).

BurningHamster
I don't get the name discussion AT ALL so I am leaving that gibberish alone. The only real upside to him using another name is that when he gets released he won't have to wrestle under some other silly name like "Cabana Boy" Scott Classic in order to get recognized and avoid lawsuits. The fact he was wrestling under his goofy persona was great to see and starting him off against Kendrick who is another favourite of mine was entertaining considering the match went all of about 3 minutes. Oh wait..... Some workers own the trademark on their indie names. Thus, unless they're willing to sell the trademark to WWE (which no one in their right mind would do, given how the 'E chews workers up and spits them out), WWE renames the worker so they then own the mark. They did the same thing with Takako Inoue (Takeshi, and never debuted her) and Shantelle Taylor (when they had her work dark matches under a mask in a loose black & gold outfit masquerading as a guy). Colt has worked WWE dark matches using his real name, as has Cheerleader Melissa (as 'Melissa Anderson') so you're right on that first point. But there's more to it than "because it sounds close to his real name". Besides, the most famous Goldman in the US met his end allegedly at the hands of a certain NFL Hall of Famer that the glove didn't fit. And WWE had nothing to do with Goldberg's naming. I think it was Ole Anderson or one of the old guys back then (Kevin Sullivan? Same person who came up with the ingenious name of 'The Giant' for Paul Wight). EDIT: Not to debate, but my point was more about the "Familiar" sound that Goldman has to it. That's what I like about it. Goldman sounds similar to "Goldberg". Reguardless of who come up with Goldberg, lol. Everyone that's been a fan over 10 years knows who Goldberg is... Another name sounding similar. I mean, look at Evan Bourne and then think of the more well known Matt Bourne. I don't know if it's intentional or not, but I immediately think of these "other's" when the new names are given.
