NEW: A Little Rough Around the Edges

Recommended Posts

OOC I love the newly designed title belts in 2008. But out of all of them, the ones I like the most belong to a particular promotion that doesn't exist in the game. I am talking about the NEW belts. And while NEW might stand for anything between the mundane New England Wrestling or Nevada Extreme Wrestling on up to Nuclear Explosion Wrestling, I'd like to think NEW stands for New Era Wrestling. So taking a few storylines from the 2008 game, I will present a scenario that would qualify as being worthy of the dawn of a New Era in the Cornellverse. Hopefully I can manage this much better than my aborted TCW diary. Enjoy Who would have thunk it? Co-Defendants Richard Eisen and Tommy Cornell both in the same room, albeit separated by a wall of attorneys. And sitting across from the two biggest promoters in the world were the Plaintiffs, Phil Vibert and John Campbell aka Nemesis. This meeting, that somehow had managed to be arranged secretly, would decide the future of the wrestling business in North America, and perhaps the world. With the stakes so high, we turn our attention to the main players. Eisen looks preternaturally aloof, almost bored in his countenance. Cornell is busy telling dirty jokes with one of his high priced lawyers. The punch line went something like, “but it’s in the wrong hole,” or something like that. One might wonder as to their different reactions. Perhaps both Eisen and Cornell had crunched the numbers, or more likely, paid people to crunch the numbers for them, and saw that they both could make a large cash offer, respectively of course, and settle. To both men, a cash settlement would be a minor annoyance. DAVE was gone, and all the best wrestlers in the United States either worked for TCW or SWF, or they would be soon enough. Sure, with money from the settlement, Vibert and Campbell could start over. In Fact, word was they had already contacted a few lesser known wrestlers about joining a new promotion. But without any established stars, Vibert and Nemesis could not get a TV or PPV deal. And without that, it would be years before Vibert could surpass USPW as a distant third. Cornell was worried about Eisen, and Eisen was worried about Cornell. Vibert and Campbell might as well not have even been in the room. Vibert smiled at Nemesis and nodded. Nemesis slid two manila envelopes across the table, one to the owner of the SWF, and one to the owner of TCW. Vibert spoke. “Inside both envelopes is a list of things we are asking in order to settle this case today. This is a one time offer. Tomorrow news of the lawsuit will be made public. Because we named both of you as defendants you are both here today, though my lawyer tells me that I have to inform you that our demands are separate for both companies and confidential. Obviously that is why you’ll want to settle, to keep this from becoming public knowledge.” Richard Eisen huffed, “what do I care if the lawsuit becomes public? Every complaint in your suit I’ve seen before and defeated. Seriously, since DAVE died with a whimper like the diseased animal it was, I believe you two have been doing nothing but playing as, what do you call it, ahh yeah, E-Bookers on the internet. Two more sad little trolls who dream of causing harm to my empire by suing me and somehow, miraculously, gaining access to SWF talent contracts. He laughed a good while and continued his tirade. “Well put this down in your little diary, Richard Eisen will one day be the only major wrestling promoter left in NorthAmerica. Dan Stone is old and his family is falling apart. The DeColts try to be like me but fail, Sam Strong is stuck in the 80’s and This kid here,” he points over at Tommy Cornell, “is stuck with a roster of geezers, muscle heads and DAVE rejects who either can’t work a proper match or can’t go ten minutes without blowing up. And he presents himself and his company as some kind of savior.” Tommy Cornell had heard enough, “Now wait a minute you damn-“ “No, you wait, you loser,” Eisen cut him off. “Lawsuits huh? I run a monopoly? I beat that one. Independent contractors? I beat that one. Favoritism, steroids, harassment? I beat em all! And even if you two do win, what can you show for damages? I probably spend more fueling my private jet than DAVE ever spent on an operating budget. Maybe you can get Cornell to sign, god knows he’s dumb enough. But me, I am done with this. Good bye!” Eisen motioned for his lawyers to leave when Nemesis spoke. “Before you leave, Mister fancy promoter, you might want to look at this.” Nemesis slid another manila envelope over. “Pfft. Whatever this is you are just wasting my.. WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THIS!!!” Vibert and Nemesis began laughing, and Tommy Cornell opened his own envelope and gave it a good stare. He looked back up with a slightly confused expression. Vibert elbowed Nemesis who continued. “If that isn’t enough there is this one, with Big Smack Scott in the same state of undress. Then this one, where he’s holding the baby oil. Guess that explains how he got his job. But what I really wonder about is this one… is that Enygma in the corner wearing a diaper?” Eisen screamed like a little girl, meanwhile the light seemed to dawn on Cornell. He quickly signed the paperwork we gave him and handed it to us. He asked his lawyer if it was all legal and his attorney told him that he had looked it all over and that everything was legit and iron clad. “I don’t know what you pulled with Cornell just now, “ steam was rising off of Richard Eisen’s shoulders, “but if you think I’ll submit to this, you are crazy. This is blackmail, plain and simple!” Vibert spoke. “Sorry, Dick, but you haven’t figured out the angle on this. See, tomorrow we submit our evidence, which if you don’t settle today, will include these pictures and 100’s more like them. Your lawyers will fight it, but once they are verified as authentic, they’ll become public record. Then you are looking at losing half of everything from the divorce, then there is the public ridicule, not to mention other possible lawsuits from current and former employees who think themselves unfairly treated in comparison to Big Smack Scott, Enygma, and Brains McGhee!” “Brains McGhee!!!” One of the attorneys was obviously a wrestling fan. Eisen looked over his lawyers, they all looked away. “Alright, I’ll sign. But I am warning you two right now. Word of this ever gets out, and I’ll crush you both!” Vibert replied, “No problem, Dick. We fully intend to honor the settlement to the letter. Nemesis, turn over all pictures we have of Mr. Eisen’s various, umm, affairs.” Nemesis slid a milk crate of 3 by 5 photographs so sick and twisted in nature, the entire thing was covered in a black tarp. Once Eisen had it, he signed the settlement agreement and gave it back to Vibert. “Not a single photo is missing huh? What about the negatives?” Nemesis and Vibert looked at each other and began laughing. “The negatives? Oh we traded those and one million of your settlement dollars to TCW just minutes before you signed our settlement. All perfectly legal, if you had actually read the paperwork. If you want the negatives, if you have to deal with Tommy Cornell.” Eisen was screaming again when Vibert and Campbell walked out of the room, the proud owners of one of the strongest wrestling organizations in North America, New Era Wrestling! The fallout… As a result of binding arbitration, New Era Wrestling will take over the contracts for four TCW wrestlers in exchange for one million dollars and negatives of one Richard Eisen getting his freak on. In exchange for all existing pictures of Richard Eisen getting his freak on, SWF will pay the owners of NEW, 3.5 million dollars in cash, as well as transfer over the contracts of four SWF wrestlers, one non Wrestler and three members of the SWF staff. Also for the remainder of 2007, the SWF advertised the formation of the NEW promotion on SWF programming, thereby allowing NEW to reach cult status in the United States without ever running a show. While the exact details of the meeting with TCW and SWF cannot be disclosed, it should be noted that the Tuesday following the meeting, TCW garnered its highest ratings in years when Richard Eisen appeared on their television show to become the founding member of Tommy Cornell’s “Kiss my ass club”. We now turn to January, 2008. NEW is about to unveil its TV show while the wrestling world waits in anticipation to see just what the NEW promotion is all about.

NEW will start the diary off with a 2 hour weekly show on The Pop!Network. I tried to avoid making an entire roster of "internet darling" type wrestlers you see in every diary. That said I tried to keep this consistent as well. You would think Phil Vibert might favor former Dave takent, so thats why we have Jack Giedroyc, Eddie Peak, Joey Minnesota, and Art Reed. Acid and Eric Tyler he signed as free agents. Guys like Aaron Andrews, Danny Faonzarelli, and Robbioe Retro he took for their potential, Remo, Angry Gilmore, and Jessie were picked because they are all awesome at what they do. Being its my diary I also wanted to add a few people I happen to favor in the Cornellverse. These are Eisaku Hoshino, Omar Brown, Burning Exile, and Rhino Umaga. Everyone else was added to provide depth to the roster. Not that I plan on neglecting anyone in particular, but if you intend to follow this diary because you think I am going to push Nation of Filth (for example) then you may want to reconsider. Well, thats about it, here's the rundown for the first NEW: Intensity card As always, predictions are welcome. Rhino Umaga vs Bob Casey Aaron Andrews vs Des Davids vs Omar Brown for the American Title Burning Exile vs Fumihiro Ota vs Jacob Jett vs Frankie Perez vs SoulTaker for the NEW High Impact title The Stud Muffins vs The Redneck Express for the NEW Tag Team Titles Art Reed vs Steve Flash Acid vs Eric Tyler
if you intend to follow this diary because you think I am going to push Nation of Filth
Ewww. Have to say that I'm liking the roster. Kind of surprised that the Hardcore rating isn't a medium, but I'm guessing that Vibert and Nemesis learned from their mistakes last time and want to run a show that can keep a TV deal. By the way, there's no "o" in "Leviathan."
As always, predictions are welcome.
Huzzah! I'd probably have to go into a bit of exposition to justify it fully, but I think Vibert and Nemesis would look at DAVE's collapse and 'whoring out' of hardcore in TCW and SWF in the prior years as meaning that the time had passed, at least on the National stage. Plus Vibert believes that if it can still work, Mitch Naess will be the man to keep it going. Vibert and Nemesis realize its time to move on. Style wise I think I think NEW is different enough from everything else in North America that it can stand on its own, but it isn't so against the mainstream that it must suffer what that usually entails. You are very close on your predictions. So I am going to declare you the winner for week one. :D

Hello. Archie Archer here, posting from Wrestlebuzz2000. As you know, this column is dedicated to covering the New Era Wrestling promotion. NEW’s television show, NEW Intensity aired last night. So I’ll provide a run down of what happened along with ratings for matches and angles. And as always I’ll provide the news of the week that’s fit to print. RUMORS With the recent talent acquisitions by NEW some months ago, part of the fallout was that TCW and SWF lost several key wrestlers, and in the case of the SWF, some very important personnel. Well, rumor has it that the Big Two have sent out a plethora of offers hoping to sign new talent. Also, creative changes are planned in both companies so as to try to even up the Heel/Face divide on both rosters. I should be able to tell you more on this next week. SWF Supreme TV pulled out a b- show with a 3.41 rating TCW Presents did a b- show with a 3.39 rating NOTBPW Championship Wrestling did a C+ show and a .62 USWP All American did a C+ show with a .49 rating NEW Intensity did a .25 rating Still no word on who NEW has signed as their mystery wrestler. Though word is he is known across the globe yet will start with a mid card spot. NEW has contacted several female wrestlers about signing up for their Vixen’s division. So far only April Appleseed and Agent 69 have signed. Now its time for my NEW Intensity Report! The show opens with a shot of the exterior of the North Carolina Biker Museum. 2,000 rowdy fans make some noise as Eric Tyler appears in the ring. Eric starts off by telling us that no one in the wrestling business has driven down as many roads or put as many hours into the ring as he has. And so he is very disappointed that he thought Phil Vibert knew this. Tyler says that Vibert promised him a run with the NEW Undisputed World Title if Eric would just sign with the promotion Eric says he felt he deserved that much, so he agreed. But now he learns that that it was a lie, and that he has to wrestler in an 8 man tournament to earn the title. From the desk Phin Vibert breaks into to tell the audience that it is Tyler lying about being given the title. He said he’d only promised Tyler the opportunity to compete for it. Tyler says he is not the type of man to be trifled with. He promises to burn through the tournament and win the title, and then he promises he’ll piss on it in the middle of the ring. Right then the lights go out. When they turn back on Acid is standing in the ring! Eric Tyler charges at him but Acid ducks and pulls the top rope down. Tyler goes flying over it as Vibert and Duane Fry tell the audience at home that the main event for tonight is round two of the Undisputed Tournament, a match between Acid and Eric Tyler! RATING B- Bob Casey vs Rhino Umaga (with Playboy Jake Sawyer) vs with Basic Squash match. Casey does a decent job of selling though. It appears Rhino is working some kind of Savage gimmick. WINNER Rhino Umaga RATING E+ Now we are taken backstage where we see Des Davids warming up. Omar Brown walks up and asks if Des is interested in making a deal. Des asks Omar what he means and Omar says, “There’s gold on the line and its one white boy against us two bruthas.” Des tells him that he’s an athlete, and he’s here to challenge others in the best sport in the world. “And besides,” Des tells him, “you aren’t my brother.” As Des walks away you can hear Omar mumble, “damn oreo.” RATING E Back from commercial. Its time for the American Title match. Aaron Andrews vs Des Davids vs Omar Brown vs vs for This turned out to be a pretty good match. Des and Omar start things off brawling. Aaron would try to join in but each time both of them would knock him for a loop. Every time Omar was in trouble, Aaron would inadvertently save him by attacking Des. Eventually Des hits a tombstone piledriver on Omar but as he climbed the ropes Aaron sagged against them, causing him to fall to the outside. Aaron then slumps down over Omar and gets the three. WINNER Aaron Andrews RATING C Next we turn to the announce booth where Duane Fry and Vibert discuss the tournament and tonight’s matches. Vibert informs us that the eight men competing come from around the globe. The first round match will see Art Reed vs Steve Flash later tonight. Then tonight’s main event, Acid vs Eric Tyler. He says next week the remaining quarter finales will be Dean McWade vs Danny Fonzarelli and Eisaku Hoshino vs An opponent yet to be named. ROUND ONE vs ROUND TWO vs ROUND THREE vs ROUND FOUR vs ??? They then discussed Tyler’s and Acid’s shared history in DAVE, and how both were upset that neither could be the company’s final champion. RATING B- Next we have the introductions for our next match. We are told it will be for the NEW High Impact Title. It is a LADDER MATCH Jacob Jett vs Frankie Perez vs Fumihiro Ota vs Soul Stealer vs Black Eagle for NEW High Impact Title vs vs vs vs for Playboy Jake Sawyer is managing both Fumihiro Ota and SoulTaker in this match. The five wrestlers waste no time mixing it up. Outside the ring, officials place a standing ladder at each ring post. The announcers tell us that to win the match, a wrestler will have to go outside the ring, grab a ladder, bring it into the ring, climb it, and pull the title off of the cable it is tied to. But it doesn’t seem at first as if anyone is concerned about a ladder. The match is very fast paced with people flying around and bodies zipping through the air. Eventually Jett and SoulTaker do wind up outside, brawling, but then Frankie Perez hits them both with a running reverse somersault from inside the ring. This leaves Eagle and Ota in the ring. They trade kicks until Ota goes down. Eagle hops out of the ring and grabs a ladder. Once back in the ring he stands the ladder up and climbs it, and launches himself from the top with a moonsault. The crowd groans as he misses Ota. Ota slowly makes his way to the ladder as Jett comes back in. Outside Perez is climbing a ladder to launch himself against Soul Taker. With no one looking, Jake Sawyer tips the ladder over, sending Perez crashing into the metal guardrail! SoulTaker slowly slides into the ring as Jett and Ota brawl. Both men soon double team Jett and send him outside. Then both climb up opposite sides of the ladder. Both of them reach within striking distance of the title, while giving each other hard stares. Playboy Jake Sawyer is yelling something loudly in Spanish. I don’t know exactly what he said, but as Black Eagle climbs back in the ring, Soul Taker jumps off the ladder and takes Eagle out. Ota easily grabs the title and this match is over! WINNER Fumihiro Ota RATING C- After commercial we turn backstage for an interview.. uh oh its Nemesis, and behind him is Eddie Peak, Remo, and The Big Problem Nemesis starts off talking about the demise of DAVE, and what it meant to him. He then talks about Vibert starting NEW. He called it “DAVE lite” and “half the DAVE, all the ****”. He then talks about Eric Tyler’s threat to destroy the Undisputed Title. Nemesis laughs and says that Tyler isn’t aiming far enough. He says he doesn’t want to destroy the title, Nemesis says he wants to destroy the entire company. He then asks, “Why would I want to destroy NEW? It’s simple, Vibert. I cannot let you have what you didn’t let me have, which is, a vision, success, contentment, happiness. The death of DAVE was the death of my dream, and the blame for that falls at your incompetent feet! So the only happiness I’ll have now is taking your child from you.” Nemesis compares NEW to a baby then asks Eddie what they should do with it. “Abort it! Kill it! Crush it!” Then Eddie starts giggling. Nemesis says he is putting Vibert and NEW on notice. He and his men are going to do whatever it takes to ruin the promotion. “We will raise Hell itself and laugh as this company burns!” Then they walk off. RATING B Both Vibert and Fry are quiet as the ring announcer tells us that the next match will be for the NEW World Tag Team Titles The StudMuffins vs The Redneck Express for The NEW World Tag team Titles and vs and for Both these teams specialize in brawling, which is what we get this match. Lots of stiff kicks, punches and clotheslines. I will say that the Stud Muffin’s outfits are a bit jolting after that interview by Nemesis. Both are in bright red spandex, Retro’s doublet and trunks are accentuated by brink pink kisses while Danny’s outfit is covered with bright pink hearts. Eventually the Rednecks take control over Robbie and get in some cheating double team moves. Robbie manages to fight back and Danny gets the hot tag. Danny clears house. Robbie comes in and hoists Grease Hogg up in the air. StudMuffins finish the match with a Love Rocket. WINNER The StudMuffins RATING D + We come back to a camera shot of… looks like the camera man is running down a hallway behind Playboy Jake Sawyer. Jake eventually stops and tells the camera that this is the door to *her* dressing room. He then smiles and rubs his hands together before he knocks. We hear a female voice say, “come in” and Jake opens the door to reveal Jessie sitting at a makeup table. “Oh, its you.” “Yes its me, and I am here to accept the adulation of a fellow manager.” “For what,” Jessie turns, she sounds annoyed and perplexed. “For being the first manager in NEW to manage a client with a title!” Playboy laughs. “Sooo, I was kind of hoping to celebrate. I hear your husband is still injured and” Jesse cuts him off. “Listen, you little creep. What you did earlier today was a travesty. Not only interfering in the match, but then telling one of your wrestlers to lose on purpose! What kind of manager tells a client to lose! You disgust me.” “Oh really? Is that how its going to be, Miss High and Mighty?!?” “I am not saying I’m a saint. But I know someone who’d do a much better job representing this company as the High Impact champion.” “Is that so.. well, would you like to put your money where I think your mouth should be? Next week, your knight in shining armor against my killer ninja! You win, your man gets a shot at BIG BANG. I win, and you promise to give me a Big Bang!” Jesse doesn’t pause one second. “It’s a deal. Now get out of my locker room!” Jake appears caught off guard by her tone. He quickly scampers out. The camera fades as we see Jesse smile with a devilish grin. Guess that mystery wrestler will be debuting next week! Steve grabs an arm, but Art reverses, Steve reverses that and the two stand back, just staring at each other. Slowly you can see Art become more and more frustrated as Steve counters everything he does. Eventually he backs Steve into a corner, and breaks the hold by raking Steve’s eyes. Now Art is pulling hair and throwing punches. He even chokes Steve by putting his boot against his throat. He sends Steve in for a back body drop but Steve leap frogs him and lands a picture perfect drop kick on his rebound. Now the two are trading punches. Art rakes the eyes yet again but Steve doubles him over with a kick and hits a Jawbreaker. Steve climbs the top and flies off into a cross body, but Art who is now up, takes the move and rolls over once they hit the mat. He has a handful of Steve’s trunks as the ref counts to three. I hope at some point Tyler picks up Acid and lets him fall so then I can say that Eric Tyler dropped Acid!! Ho ho, I kill me. Vicious chops by Tyler. Acid fires back with a headbutt and dropkicks Tyler’s leg. Tyler is down on one knee, Acid runs and hits a Shining Wizard. One Two Tyler kicks out. Acid works Tyler over with some punches then lands a standing Enziguri. Tyler fakes being hurt though and manages a leg sweep and gets a one count. Again they trade punches before Tyler hits Acid with a knee to the gut. He then locks Acid up and gets an Atomic drop and transitions into a modified release German Suplex. One Two Two and a Half Acid kicks out. Tyler argues with the ref for a bit then grabs Acid and goes for a Pile Driver. Acid fights it and lands back on his feet. He looks like he is going for a back body drop on Tyler when he grabs Eric’s legs and brings them back down and launches himself upwards. Acis is now on Tyler’s shoulders and he reigns down punches before nailing a frankensteiner. He hooks a leg One Two Again Tyler kicks out. Acid scoops Tyler up and sends him into a turnbuckle. He attempts a running splash but Tyler pulls the ref in the way! The ref crumbles in the corner as Tyler slides out. Acid tries reviving the ref as we see Tyler grab a chair from under the ring. As the Ref begins to stir Acid runs to the opposite rope, he builds up plenty of momentum and attempts to hit Tyler with an over the top rope Plancha. But Tyler swats him with the chair. The crowd groans at the sound of it. Vibert is saying, “No! No!” over and over as Tyler rolls Acid into the ring The ref crawls around in a daze. Tyler covers Acid but its pretty much a foregone conclusion… One Two Thr- Acid gets a shoulder up! The crowd pops. Tyler looks stunned at first and then angry. He shoves the ref aside and begins to slap a prone Acid. He then picks him up and hits the Tradition Lift. Up again, another Tradition Lift! One Two Three! Eric Tyler wins. Archie Archer back again with all the news that’s fit to print. Been a busy week in the world of wrestling so here we go. RUMORS Steven Parker and Samoan Machine have signed with TCW. Sammy Back and Texas Pete have formed a new team, called Shining Force. TCW has sent out offers to both Frankie Perez and Des Davids. They are still waiting to hear back from them. SWF signed Alex Braun, Chris Caufield, Fabulous Frank, James Prudence, Grandmaster Phunk, Matt Sparrow, Carl Batch, and Jez McArthuer. Word is they also have offers out to Champagne Lover and Darryl Devine. (OOC, between this and TCW there go most of the internet darlings). SWF also signed a new PPV deal for the UK. Word is Joe Sexy and Big Cat Brandon may both be turning face soon. USPW has sent an offer to Puerto Rican power. No word if he has accepted yet. USPW has a new PPV deal in place. Details are sketchy at this time, however. PSW have signed Shane Sneer and Curt O’Malley to pay per appearance deals. Word is that officials in NEW are very concerned Des Davids and Frankie Perez will sign exclusive deals. This combined with a roster already heavy with heels might explain why NEW recently signed Davis Wayne Newton and Roderick Remus. Word is they also have offers out to the Cannonball kid and Joey Poison. NEW has also signed some additional female wrestlers for their Vixen’s division. This includes: Wanda Fish, Tamara McFly, Gorgon, Joanne Rodriguez, and Suzanne Brazzle. Finally word is that NEW has signed a PPV deal with the same carrier USPW signed with. NEW’s first PPV is scheduled for Saturday, week 4 of January, 2008. It entitled The Big Bang! Now we turn to our week 2 Recap of NEW: Intensity The show begins with a crowd shot as Duane Fry thanks us for tuning in. He says the show is being held at the Arkansas Coliseum in front of 2,000 people. Music plays and suddenly we see Jesse walking down the ramp next to Eisaku Hoshino. Once in the ring, Jesses says she and her husband, Angry Gilmore, would like to thank the fans for their cards and support. She says Angry should return to the ring in a couple of weeks! Next she says she is delighted that her mystery man will be wrestling Fumihiro Ota tonight. She says once you see him, you’ll know just what kind of trouble Playboy Jake Sawyer got himself into. She then turns to Hoshino, who she says will be wrestling tonight as part of the Undisputed World Title tournament. Jesse says she learned a few days ago who Hoshino’s opponent would be and that while she overlooks no one, she believes her man will win. And then music interrupts her. Walking towards the ring holding a microphone is Jack Griffith. Jack introduces himself and says most people probably don’t recognize him, but he’s been the butt of jokes from wrestling fans for years. He says if you ever heard a joke about a drunk and wrestling in the same sentence, it was about him. Jack says that’s fine, you had your fun. Then he gets in Hoshino’s face and says “I’m done being someone’s punchline.” He says its probably hard for fans to understand, with their failed lives wasted on never attempting anything. Jack tells us he could have been the best, but he didn’t realize, “all those years I thought I was drinking out of the bottle, the bottle was drinking out of me. Until there was almost nothing left.” Then he pauses and stares at his hands, “But I crawled my way out, out of the bottle, out of the sewer. And I’ll be damned if any of you bastards will ever look down at me again.” Jack points at Hoshino then at Jessie. “Tell your man, win or lose, be ready for war.” And with that, he walks out of the ring. RATING C- Davis Wayne Newton vs Burning Exile (managed by Playboy Jake Sawyer) vs with A fast paced match that was over before it started. He looks quite smug. Remember, the stipulation here is that if Ota wins, Sawyer gets , uhh, services from Jessie. If Jessie wins, her mystery man gets a title shot at the PPV. Music plays and Jessie steps out on to the ramp way. She’s followed by someone with a towel over their head. It is hard to tell but he looks at the camera and OH WOW! IT’S DUANE STONE!!! I don’t think Sawyer realizes who it is. Because he still looks pretty confident. Stone’s in the ring and removes the towel. Jake Sawyer starts flipping out. He and Ota complain to the ref, who just shrugs his shoulders. Sawyer then walks over to the ropes and yells at Vibert, who just shrugs. The bell rings and Stone wastes no time. He goes for a single leg then a float over. Ota struggles up but goes back down with a firemen’s carry. Stone rides him a bit then lets him up. A double leg take down this time, he then turns it into a head scissors before somehow turning and putting Ota into an Americana armbar. (Don’t ask). Ota screams like a girl and gets a foot on the rope. This wasn’t a match, it was a mugging. Ota’s only offense was a rake of the eyes. Stone wins without breaking a sweat. WINNER Duane Stone RATING C+ Next there is a brief promo backstage by Aaron Andrews. Grunt or Remo?” Phil snaps back, “why do you take such pleasure in other people’s suffering?” “That’s easy. I have suffered more than anyone, I worked for you for years didn’t I? Looks like we have a camera following Eddie and Stink, I think that’s the concession area at the walkway. He goes to cover but nemesis stands up at the table and yells no at Remo. Fry asks Nemesis what that was about. Nemesis tells him, “we have something planned. In fact lets get back to Eddie and the Stinker! Ahh yeah here they are still brawling. That’s the men’s restroom. Hah! Don’t cut away from this. People scatter about as Eddie yells then rams Stink headfirst into a toilet stall’s door. The door pops open and we see a frightened man holding a news paper frantically rise from the toilet while pulling up his pants. Eddie roars and the man runs out of the stall. Eddie tears off the stall door and clubs Stink with it until he slumps over. Eddie then picks him up for a Tombstone piledriver and walks into the stall. Duane Fry freaks out. “Nemesis tell Eddie to stop! Nemesis OH CRAP!” Nemesis chuckles. “You said it.” On screen we see Eddie drop Stink headfirst into the toilet before the camera cuts away. Thursday, Week 3, January, 2008 Held Live at Ricardo Montenez Ballroom in Puerto Rico. 1,723 in attendance. Phil Vibert sent word down that he’d like for us road agents to give our thoughts on the show, and to break it down segment by segment. Rumor going around the dressing room is that maybe I’m too old for this job and that I don’t know what it is kids want to see these days. To that I say horse feathers and applesauce! Woops, sorry for the language. Anyway, here is my report of the show. -Crippler Ray Kingman The show starts off with a promo by Angry Gilmore. He starts by thanking the fans for their concern over his injury and how his doctors have cleared him to wrestler next week. Then he says he wants to thank his wife, Jessie, who walks in next to him, for standing by him when he was down and out. My immediate impression from this is, darn, Jessie has some big knockers, but you can’t say that to a gal these days without getting sued. Anyway Nemesis, Eddie Peak, and Remo walk in and start giving Angry Gilmore grief. Angry warns em to leave but Nemesis says that Angry shouldn’t blame them for what’s about to happen, he should blame Vibert. Eddie runs his fingers through Jessie’s hair and Angry Gilmore nails him. Eddie shoves Jessie aside and he and Remo double team Angry until they hit him with a spiked pile driver on the concrete floor. Jessie screams for help as the Hellraisers put the boots to Angry. Eventually some other wrestlers come in and break it up, but the damage is done. RATING: B Back in my day you could get heat just by slapping on a headlock. There was no need for shoving women or trying to cripple an injured man. Next we have Burning Exile(with Playboy Jake Sawyer) vs Warren Technique With VS Okay match for today’s fan, I suppose, but there was less psychology here than an episode of Dr. Phil. All those flips make me want to take a nap. WINNER: Buring Exile RATING: D Joey Poison vs Leviathan VS Dunno why they signed this Poison kid, except I hear he’s related to Giedroyc. Nepotism is a horrible reality in wrestling, which is why I don’t understand how my son Barry can’t get a job here. I mean he’s just as talented as this Poison kid, plus his hair isn’t all different colors. Back in my day, when a guy colored his hair, we’d beat him up and force him to join the Navy! Kids today, I swear! This one time, years ago at a fast food place, I stood in line behind him as he begged the cashier for free food. Said he’d take anything. Stuff that had been overcooked or even dropped on the floor. The cashier told him no, so then Bob begged for just a cup of ice and twenty seven packets of ketchup. Again the cashier says no, so Bob says ok and orders a hamburger. The price is like three dollars and Bob asks if the cashier has change for a hundred. Oh, and this match was decent. I overheard one of them mention a ‘Dirty Sanchez’ and I wasn’t sure if they meant some kind of move or if they were talking about my old rival, Dirty Juan Sanchez. I figured it was the latter so I broke in to tell em about the first time I saw Dirty Sanchez and how excited I was, and they all laughed and called me a cool old man. I think they are cool too. WINNER: Jett, Remus, and The Kid RATING: D Next we go backstage. interviews and Danny talks about the rednecks interfering in his match last week and how he and his partner wants revenge. Maybe its just me, but I don’t think the sight of two chubby guys in pink spandex is all that imposing. Back in my day, we caught a guy wearing pink spandex, we’d beat him up and make him join the Navy! RATING: C Nation of Filth vs The McWade Brothers VS Well some people in the crowd were saying the most awful things about Stink. Poor guy. But I don’t feel too much sympathy, I mean, a guy calls himself Stink, he should expect some verbal abuse. Whatever happened to good nicknames anyway? Call me old fashioned, but I’d prefer ‘Battlin’ Bob, ‘Hammerin’ Hank, and Dirty Sanchez over anything else anyday! WINNERS: The McWade Brothers RATING: D+ Jack Griffith vs Stevie Grayson VS Ok so here’s this Grayson kid, another flippity flopper. I swear I have varicose veins older than him. They hired this guy but not my son, Barry? And then there is this Jack Griffith, who is a damn dirty drunk! Kids today need role models they can look up to.. like my old rival Dirty Sanchez, and his tag partner, the Cleveland Steamer! Oh yeah, this match was decent. WINNER: Jack Griffith RATING: C Jack Giedroyc and Joey Minnesota cut a promo. The two talk about their argument last week and how they’ve put that behind them in order to face the HellRaisers. They say what Nemesis and his crew did to Angry and Jessie Gilmore is unacceptable and how the Hellraisers would regret it. I tried to pay attention but just then Wanda Fish sat beside me and asked for some pointers in putting together a match. So I told her about my time with the Cleveland Steamer but she looked disgusted pretty quickly and left. Maybe she noticed I was staring down her shirt? RATING: B- Art Reed vs Eric Tyler VS Eric Tyler is a bitter old bastard! I know this because he borrowed a bottle of my Metamucil once and still hasn’t given it back. I keep telling Eric to eat more fiber if you want to be regular! Art Reed probably eats lots of fiber. Though he didn’t want any of the prunes I was offering last week. Anyway this was a good back and forth match. Art had Eric in trouble but then Steve Flash came down to ringside and distracted the younger wrestler. Eric takes advantage and rolls Art up for the three count. He also pulled the tights. Looks like Art is wearing black silk bikini briefs just like me. WINNER: Eric Tyler RATING: B HellRaisers (with Nemesis) vs Jack Giedroyc and Joey Minnesota with VS As the kids would say, this match was off the hook YO! I am glad too, as I helped put this match together. I am pretty happy with it except none of them wanted to do the spot where I run down to the ring and lay everyone out with a KingMaker and then Jessie runs down and gives me a big kiss. Well, a man can dream can’t he?!?! Joey dominates early like I told him too until Remo and Eddie use underhanded tactics to get advantage. Jack comes in to protest with the ref, maybe for a tad too long, as Joey gets worked over. From there Joey is pretty much beaten down for about 5 minutes until he miraculously makes the tag, only to have Jack turn on him. Jack, Eddie and Remo triple team Joey for a bit before finishing him off. WINNER: Eddie Peak and Remo RATING: B Additional Note: Jack Giedroyc’s heel turn was a success. OVERALL SHOW RATING: B- That’s my report. I am going to take a nap now. -Crippler Ray Kingman
To that I say horse feathers and applesauce! Woops, sorry for the language. That’s my report. I am going to take a nap now. -Crippler Ray Kingman
LOL, I Knew this would be entertaining, but those two statements there made me laugh at loud, by myself, with my wife in the other room... running in to say "Oh, it's that game again". Ha, funnier then "T" immitating our famous NickC13573 in the Mafia thread.

Live from the Washington State Gymnasium, it is NEW Intensity! Phil Vibert has asked for feedback on this week’s Intensity show from the wrestlers involved with the show, here is a collection of those reports that were legible and not written in bodily fluids. Our First comment is from Fumihiro Ota. The Wild Cards(Jacob Jett and CannonBall Kid) vs Joss Thompson and Warren Technique VS This match suffered from a lack of blazing shurikens and smoke bombs. Jacob Jett should learn how to slow a match down, perhaps by using a submission hold… I’d suggest either Ninja Death Pinch or the Sublime Asian Genital Twist! Regardless, I know over four hundred and seventeen ways to kill all these men… while blindfolded! I had just taken my tenth SOMA and two hits of ACID (the wrestler, not the drug) and I was like, wow. Man Grunt is a guy I dig, because he’s like Jock with no athletic talent pretending to be a punk, plus his name is the sound you make when you get kicked in the balls. I think I can see his aura now… WINNER: Jack Griffith RATING: D This comment comes from Nemesis Jessie, accompanied by Eisaku Hoshino and Duane Stone, gives an interview to Phil Vibert. I thought this interview went well. Jessie and her charges helped build up each individual’s match and helped show that Jessie wasn’t forgetting about the people she managed. It also created additional drama for tonight’s match between Angry Gilmore and Eddie Peak. And fans who wondered if Angry had to fight against my stable all alone now know that Gilmore does have potential allies willing to help. I’d say more but Eddie’s going around licking the stains on the walls. My complaint right now is with that damn ***** Gorgon, who ate the last of the damn ham at catering. I am not complaining about catering itself, which is far better than what we get in NOTBPW. Hell, all we get there is Ice Cream and beer, and at least in NEW we get different stuff like chicken and damn HAM, but then these fat chicks are gonna eat all the ham I think they should pay for some of it, or something. Anyway after that my boobs pretty much stopped falling out during matches. Though I guess the most embarrassing thing to ever happen is when I wrestled Alicia Strong, and she kept grabbing my ass during the match! Anyway afterwards I confronted her about it, like maybe she was making some rookie mistakes but she said no, it was on purpose, and there we were in the shower together. The water glistening off our nude bodies. And so we kissed and then… The rest of the comment has been edited. You ask me, Eric Tyler is old and washed up. He has the same move set he did during the 90’s! And his work rate is that of.. of… a tired old man! ROFLMAO! And there he is talking about how people think he’s washed up and how fans disrespect him. It is like he’s reading my mind LOL. Tyler needs to accept the fact that today’s fans have changed, and with the internet, Mark Smart has become the SMART Mark! LOL! Tyler probably thinks by saying he’s old that us fans will think he’s old and that this will be his last shot, so he may in fact win. God I hope he doesn’t win! NEW should push Thomas Morgan, he has an incredible work rate and he’s the future of wrestling… Mark Smart then argues that all wrestling fans should rise up and slay every major promoter. We did the spot where Eddie was in trouble so Nemesis made like he was coming towards me, so Hubby decked him one, but that allowed Eddie to cheat and make a comeback. Eventually the ref got knocked down and Nemesis jumped in. Then Remo ran down into the ring and they triple team Hubby. I got fed up and hit Nemesis with a chair. He made like he’d hit me but then Eisaku Hoshino was in the ring cleaning house. By then the Ref was back up and he disqualified Eddie and Angry. WINNER: Draw Rating: B+ I thought by then we almost had Nemsis and his goons taken care of but then Eric Tyler ran in and went straight for Hoshino! It looked like Eric was trying to injure Hoshino two days before their PPV match. Of course I was screaming my head off and Vibert and the road agents and other referees were in the ring to break it up but the damage had been done. Nemesis, The Hellraisers, and Eric Tyler had beaten down my husband and Hoshino, a wrestler I manage. RATING: B- OVERALL SHOW RATING: B- This concludes the wrestler generated comment section! (OOC: I’ll have a promotional Poster for the PPV up along with a full list of matches for anyone to make predictions. It may be a couple of days before I have the PPV written up.)
