From what i have read over at TNA wrestling news.com is that the big sexy could be the next wrestler to leave TNA. Nash's contract expires in October and he has been quoted as saying that if TNA does not give him the money he wants he is out the door. Nash has also expressed his feelings towards the TNA creative team and their poor booking and story writing. Also rumored that several WWE wrestlers MIGHT be jumping ship over to TNA But from what i have gathered its mostly just the mid card wrestlers. Also despite losing the battle to the WWE as far as house show attendance goes(only 500 fans in a 8,000 seat venue and less then a thousand in a 13,000 seat venue)TNA continues to make money and has started to pay back their big loan that helped keep the company running the first 5 years.

Just saying.
Nash is my favorite wrestler ever. Best Mic skills in the one of they best big man ever (if not they best).
He got a lot of flack for having supposedly being a "bad" WWE World title reign as Diesel and I think that has carried along with him. I can't say that I remember his title reign at that time... however.. I've always thought Nash to be one of the more stronger big men of all-time. So, I agree with you. He's great on the mic & always entertaining.

He seems like a guy who'd agree that what brought him to the dance was his talent on the microphone rather than in the ring... but when you're seven feet tall and over three hundred pounds, who can you manage? Andre?

Pluse he never got to go over Bret (clean or at all) who was screwed out of the title by the guy he beat (Backlund). Though he did look good whne he lost the title to Bret which is always a cool/great thing when it happens. The thing about this is that once he lost the title he had one of the more entertaining runs in the WWF in quite some time. He did a promo about how the WWF made him smile made him into something he wasn't. HE would attack people after matches and get cheered. Go squash someone and people ate it up. He was cool he was a bad ass and people couldn't help but cheer. Untill he did something to one of the really over guys like the Undertaker. He was having heated fueds with Bret UT and Shawn with really good matches. He was also the first guy I remember using the finger in the WWF.
The thing is, there's nothing Nash has to offer the WWE. Unless, of course, another main eventer goes down with a severe injury, in which case, his name value should hold him for... two months, because people realize he can't wrestle anywhere near what he used to.

I think that Nash could have been the best manager of all time, but got cursed with the body of a big man wrestler. Nash is a hugely entertaining guy, but shouldn't be allowed near a ring. As a manager for someone in the undercard, I could definitely see him being a success. Rather than Shelton, though, I'd have him show up on Raw with a stable of misused undercarders (London, Haas, Venis) who he promises to develop to their full potential. So long as he never wrestles, I believe he could do great things with a role like that.
Stick me on the Nash bandwagon. He can't really go anymore, not even as a big bruiser to many injuries, but he's funny as hell and I that.
In a non-wrestling role, he should suffice fine. The feud with Joe's actually not doing too badly at the moment.
The feud with Joe's actually not doing too badly at the moment.
Feud? I thought they were friends? I like Nash in TNA. I wasn't a fan during the Diesel run, or his nWo heyday, but now... He's damn entertaining. Wasn't he 'responsible' for gimmicking up some of the X-ers? God bless that man.
In a non-wrestling role, he should suffice fine. The feud with Joe's actually not doing too badly at the moment.
Agreed. You can give me a half-vote for Nash. When he was in his prime, I might have liked Nash well enough. But am I convinced he was as good as was suggested in this thread? Not really. Even at his best he struck me thoroughly average. Still whether it be Vinnie Vegas or Diesel or even the wise old mentor he his now, one thing I can't deny is that Nash rocks as a personality. In fact, my favorite Nash moments have all been personality bits. The wheelchair bound commissioner in WCW. Coaching the Natural Born Thrillers. Even some of the mentor bits he's done with Joe as much as I've sensed the veil being torn in that story recently. That's the Nash I want to see. I couldn't care less if he ever sets foot in another ring ever again. Make him a manager or an authority figure. Let him use his acting talent and leave the contact for men who can physically handle it.

Yes, he was responsible for "Black Machismo".
I'd like to see Nash used as a colour commentator to be honest, I think he'd be brilliant. Either that or as a manager to a big guy, like Koslov.
You know, I'd like that too. Keep him on contract. Kick that bag inflater Don West to the curb and let Tenay and Nash do the banter. The counter-balance between Tenay's book knowledge and Nash's ring experience could be a lot of fun.
From what it seems like people have written on here... Is Nash going back to the WWE?
Unknown at this time. All he was quoted as saying was that when his contract expires in october if he does not get the money he wants he is out the door.
