Regional Battle Question

I recently checked the regional battle results and in the Southwest CZCW did not participate in the battle. They are still regional size and they held a show last month. Why wouldn't they be part of the battle (they had been previously)?

I THINK once a company has C- popularity in a region they become too big to participate in the regional battle. And if CZCW has neglected to expand into a second region and reach Cult, as they frequently seem to do, then they very well may have simply outgrown regional battles in the Southwest.

They have indeed reached C- popularity in the Southwest. From a realism standpoint I'm not sure that makes any sense, but I can see why this might be necessary from a gameplay standpoint, otherwise someone could become a big fish in a small pond and destroy the competition, though isn't that the whole fun of the battles?

Another quick question on the battles: if they are more than three promotions competing in a region, how does that affect the battles? I'm thinking specifically of The East Coast Wras in Cverse 97 here, where you've got DaVE, XFW, PPPW, NYCW and RPW all in the same cluster of regions, plus NEW in a couple as well.

And it works just like any other battle, just with sometimes five or six companies involved. XFW hit a rough spot in the middle of the second year and are now struggling to stay from falling to small, as being fifth in a five way regional battle for several months has annihilated their popularity. Also, it makes using one of those companies a bitch to play... one bad show and you can lose a couple months worth of progress. I like the regional battle system, but it has its flaws. None of the promotions in the Tri-State area are really making any real pushes towards being Cult or having a C-, and they just tend to keep each other in check... I've even declared war on XFW to try and aid in their destruction, so that way in the long run maybe I'll see some visible effects of the East Coast war.

So last place receives the most damage.
