Spotlight: Mexico Original Lucha Libre in Extreme Prestige: C+ Size: Regional Owner: Joaquin Soler Head Booker: Phoenix I Universal Champion: El Critico (def. El Leon, Mar.07) Arena Champion: Phoenix I (def. n/a) Mexican Champion: Rafael Ruiz (def. n/a) Tag Champions: The Silent Rage (Manuel Preito & Oceano, def. Miguel & Julio Dominguez, Apr.07) Six Man Champion: Phoenix III, Luchadore Originalic, & Phoenix II (def. Masterico, Hexx, & Rafael Ruiz, May.07) Main Eventers: Championa Jr, El Critico, El Leon, Marcos Flores, Nicolas Lopez OLLIE, home of two of Mexico's most talented workers, El Leon and El Critico, have been maintaing their popularity in West Central Mexico, and are basically just treading water right now. They're painfully consistent, with every show they've put on since 2006 being C+ or B- in quality. Mexico Premier Wrestling Federation Prestige: C Size: Regional Owner: Domino Head Booker: El Bandito World Heritage Champion: El Bandito (def. Electo, Apr.07) Lucha Champion: Domino (def. Atlantis Jr, Mar.07) Six Man Champions: Domino, Mayan Idol, & Spanish Superfly (def. The Magnificent Mark, Magnifico, & Atlantis Jr, Apr.07) Tag Champions: The Lost Souls (Mayan Idol & Spanish Superfly def. The Continental Connection -- Asiatco & Europea, Feb.06) Main Eventers: Blue Sky, El Bandito, Electo, Soul Taker Electo has been a reliable presence at the top of MPWF, though not as outstanding as OLLIE's El Leon. They've been behind OLLIE, but the gap is as narrow as it gets. Still, any promotion whose top and secondary singles champions are the head booker and owner, respectively, has to have questions about their decision making. South of the Border Pro Wrestling Prestige: D Size: Regional Owner: Jorge Ibanez Head Booker: Charron World Champion: Cyclone (def.Axxis Jr, Mar.07) #1 Contender: Champagne Lover (def. n/a) 0Junior Champion: Los Fury (def. Pirrato, Jan.06) Tag Champions: Junior Youth & Masked Rebel (def. n/a) Trio Champions: Magik, Cyclone, & Champagne Lover (def. Mexican Beast, Enrique Merino, & Tijuana Vampire, May.06) Main Eventers: Axxis Jr, Charron, El Demonico, Pablo Rodriguez Good roster, questionable decision making. Cyclone as World and Trio champion? Los Fury, an opening match worker, as Junior Champion for a year and a half? If Charron can get his head on straight, SOTBPW has a chance to make a run at the top in Mexican Wrestling. Fridays in the Bronx Crowd: 1,552 Dickie Gellar came out to cut another goofy promo. Needless to say, there were many, many references to "Dickie vs Cox." C+ Jimmy Cox made Dickie Gellar submit to a Boston Crab at 8:32. Cox is one of those guys who has been on my radar for a long time, but was never brought in for one reason or another. C- Nevada Nuclear cut a promo on Steve Flash. "We could have been the Empire champion, if we beat him just a little sooner.." By the way, he was talking to his NYCW Tag Title belt. C "Heart & Soul" Steve Flash pinned Nevada Nuclear at 9:02 with the Flash of Brilliance. Nuclear is the perfect tag wrestler, as he makes up for Insane Heat's lack of charisma, while Heat brings the goods in the ring. C- Mean Jean Cattley was out, telling New York that they haven't seen mean yet. He was taking back his NYCW Tri-State Title, and tonight would be a banner night for Camp Chord -- getting the Tri-State Title back and adding a fourth wrestler to the group. C+ NYCW: Tri State Title: Mean Jean Cattley pinned Rick Sanders at 10:16 after a Masked Man interfered and cost Sanders the match, Mean Jean Cattley wins the NYCW Tri-State Title for a second time. Cattley was markedly more aggressive, showing a mean streak, if you will. Post match, Cattley left, leaving Rip Chord in the ring with the masked man. C+ "Ladies and gentlemen," Rip started, "It gives me great pleasure to give you the newest member of Camp Chord. You know him very well." The masked man slowly, dramatically, removed the hood, and the hearts of 1,500 rabid wrestling fans were broken. Why? Because Steve Flash had joined Camp Chord. "Steve Flash! Steve Flash, was smart enough to know that sometimes heart and soul doesn't get you where you have to go. Sometimes, you have to get your hands a little dirty, sometimes you need a little guidance, so he went out and got the best guidance there is: mine." At this point, trash was littering the ring. Some fans were booing, others were stunned silent. "And under my tutelage, Steve Flash will return to the promised land, he will be the Empire Champion once again." C+ After a brief intermission to sell t-shirts and clear the ring of debris, it was time for some more wrestling. Sam Keith defeated Barry Kingman at 9:53 via submission to the Proton Lock B- NYCW Empire Title: Scout pinned Chance Fortune at 19:31 with Danger Ahead, Scout retains the NYCW Empire Title, but he wasn't done, as he started to lay a vicious beating into Fortune post-match, stopping only when Sam Keith made the save. C+ (Match) B- (Attack and Save) Rip Chord Is Still Better Than You: At Baseball A [B]Overall: C+[/B] Super Mario, who didn't exactly fit in in NYCW, was released, his roster spot taken by Jimmy Cox. Dan Stone Jr. lost the NOTBPW Canadian Title to his brother-in-law Sean McFly. On the same card, Duane Stone retained the Unlimited Action Title over Craig Green and former NYCWer Brent Hill lost to Gregg Boone in the opener. Another former NYCW star, and one I never used due to price -- Travis Century kept hold of the DAVE Brass Knuckles Title with a win over Acid. The Awesome Kiyaru already lost the Burning Junior Championship, this time to Super Joshuya, for his first reign. The Warriors of the Deep celebrated their epic win of the SWF of the World Tag Titles... by losing a non-title match to Black Hat Bailey & Joey Minnesota, they did rebound to retain the titles in a match with Angry Gilmore & Texas Pete. Steve Frehley, who defeated Johnny Martin this week, has defended that title 14 times now. [I][B]Next Time: Due to scheduling conflicts, it's Thursday in the Bronx, where we'll see Sam Keith in action again, taking on 1/2 of the tag champions, The Insane Heat. Mean Jean Cattley defends the Tri-State title against the last man to beat him 1-on-1, Joey Poison. Steve Flash steps in the ring for the first time since turning his back on the NYCW fans, and will take on Donnie J. -- a match between two former Empire Champions In the main event, the reigning Empire Champion Scout faces another challenge to his title, as he defends against former Tri-State Champ Rick Sanders.[/B][/I]

[B][COLOR=RoyalBlue]Spotlight: UK/Europe[/COLOR][/B] Ultimate Combat Ring (Europe) Prestige: F Size: Louis Figo Manico Head Booker: Herschel the Hammer World Combat Champion: Sergei Kakashnov (def. Scheming Behemoth, Feb.07) European Champion: White Knight (def. Mr. Evilness, Apr.07) Tag Champions: The Creatures (Arson Wells & Wonder Boy def. The United Nations -- Kirk the Turk & Herman the German May.07) Female Champion: Geena the Warrior Princess (def. n/a, title hasn't been defended) Byron, Captain Hero, Doctor Insane, Louis Figo Manico, Sergei Kalashnov Utilizing a cast of characters that's probably weirder and more cartoony than all other promotions combined (UCR makes The Underwater Union in SWF look as serious as the PGHW guys), UCR has stayed strong in Europe, and has branched out well to the UK as well. Men of Steel Combat Prestige: E Size: Regional Owner: The Highland Warrior Head Booker: Geordie Jimmy UK Champion: The Highland Warrior (def. The Reason, May.07) Blood & Beer Champion: Bruiser (def. Hell Bound -- Geordie Jimmy & Joss Thompson, Jan.07) Main Eventers: Danny "Tower of London" Patterson, Highland Warrior, The Landlord, The Reason Geordie Jimmy still hasn't made it to Japan, Highland Warrior is the champ. Nothing changes with MSOC... that's the problem. Another problem is that they've been surpassed by UCR as the most popular promotion in the UK. 21st Century Wrestling Prestige: F Size: Small Owner: Tyler Baker Head Booker: Pit Bull Brown World Champion: Pit Bull Brown (def. Johnny Highspot, Mar.07) Strong Style Champion: Travis Cool (def. Nick Adams, Feb.07) Tag Champions: The Anglo-Scots Connection (Davey Celtic & Davey London, def. The Elimination Agents Apr.07) Main Eventers: Danny Patterson, Johnny Highspot, Pit Bull Brown, Red Dragon Very consistent, 21CW are just as good at the beginning of their card as they are at the end, and sometimes better. They need that special something to get to the next level, the one star that puts them over the top. Rings of Fire Prestige: F Size Small Owner: British Samurai Head Booker: Uppercut Bailey RoF Champion: Stevie Stoat (def. K'Lee Hawkins, Apr.07) #1 Contender: Don Henderson (def. UK Dragon Apr.07) Tag Champions: The Show Stealers (Adam Matravers & Petey Barnes, def. n/a) Main Eventers: British Samurai, Stevie Stoat, UK Dragon Pure Wrestling isn't proving to be all that successful in the U.K, as ROF has struggled, and are clearly less popular than 21CW. Stevie Stoat has dominated the promotion, holding the gold for all but 3 weeks since late 05. No real news, other than Catherine Quine regaining the AAA Femme Fatale title from Vixxen. [B]Thursdays in the Bronx (Week 4, May) Crowd: 1,532[/B] In a quick opener, Sam Keith made Darryl "The Dog" Freeman submit to the Proton Lock at 5:48 C+ Camp Chord were there to cut down Cowboys & Indians, running them down for dropping the tag titles, then patting themselves on the back for their role in the loss. C Camp Chord defeated Cowboys & Indians at 10:33 when Champagne Lover pinned Ace Youngblood, using the ropes for leverage. C Joey Poison was next out, pointing out that Mean Jean Cattley has been a changed man since his upset victory over MJC. Apparently, he's gone from "harsh" to "just plain mean." C+ [B]NYCW Tri-State Title:[/B] Mean Jean Cattley scored a clean, decisive win over Joey Poison at 5:37 with the Mood Swing. B- Sam Keith defeated The Insane Heat at 10:31 with the Proton Lock B- Steve Flash (w/Rip Chord) defeated Donnie J. at 12:11 by DQ, when Rick Sanders ran in to attack Steve Flash, showing fire he hadn't shown before. Sanders split once Camp Chord came in for backup.1 C+ (Match) C (Attack) Scout was next out, sitting on the ring apron to cut a promo. Once he got inside the ring, he'd worry about Rick Sanders, but right now, he wanted to call out Sam Keith in a match for next Thursday, regardless of whether he beat Sanders tonight or not. Keith was out quickly to answer the challenge, he'd take him on in one week's time. B [B]NYCW Empire Title:[/B] Scout d. Rick Sanders at 10:23 after Steve Flash showed up on the scene and Scout had enough time to floor Sanders and apply Sam Keith's Proton Lock, which Sanders submitted to. After the bell, Flash hit the ring for a 2-on-1, where Sam Keith made the save. B- (Match) C+ (Attack/Save) Rip Chord Is Still Better Than You: at Chess A [B]Overall: C+[/B] [I][B]Next Show: The Rematch: Sam Keith vs Scout for the NYCW Empire Title, Steve Flash meets Rick Sanders in a grudge match, Champagne Lover faces Chance Fortune, and Mean Jean Cattley defends the Tri-State Title against Donnie J.[/B][/I] [COLOR=Red][B]JUNE 2007[/B][/COLOR] Even with worker salaries almost twice as high as any previous month, we made a record profit, just a few hundred bucks shy of $20,000, based on over $6,000 in merchandise sales and over 100 grand in ticket sales -- more than the last three months combined. we've come a long way from nightly gates of about $2,000. Bart Biggs defeated Pecs, ending his fourth Shooting Star Title reign, this is the first for Bart Biggz, though Bret was also a S.S. champion. Rick Law won his second TCW World Title, defeating Tommy Cornell. Enygma went to a Double Countout with BLZ Bubb. Tadiyuki Kikkawa won the Burning World Title once again, defeating Raul Hughes. One of the most impressive rookies to enter the business in a long time, European Stanislaw Georgescu, looks poised to make in impact somewhere in Europe. This guy's gonna be big, 21CW or ROF could ride him to prominence very, very easily. Who am I kidding? He won't travel now, but in 3-5 years, he'll be in SWF as Stan The Vaccum Salesman or some crap. Travis Century lost the DAVE Brass Knuckles to another NYCW Vet, Whistler. [B]Thursdays in the Bronx Week 1, June Crowd: 1,793[/B] [I]Showcase Match:[/I] Joey Poison d. Marc Speed @ 5:52 with the Antidote Web C+ Chance Fortune promo: He fell short at winning the Empire Title, but he'd try to bounce back tonight by beating a former champion. As luck would have it, Champagne Lover's dance cad was empty. C+ Chance Fortune pinned Champagne Lover at 10:25 after interference from Tennessee Bennett, still sore over Camp Chord costing them the tag titles. C Barry Kingman made Tennesee Bennett submit to the Kingman Clutch at 9:35. Good match, boring workers. C Mean Jean Cattley came out. He wasn't content with winning the Tri-State title, he wanted the Empire gold as well, and would get there by winning the second annual New York Knockout tournament. C+ [I]New York Knockout Tournament, Round 1:[/I] Mean Jean Cattley pinned Donnie J at 11:40 with the Mood Swing to advance to the semis in another clean win for the white hot MJC. C+ Rip Chord was out next, to explain that Steve Flash is a survivor, and although the fans may not like it, he did what he had to do to survive. Rick Sanders was just a stepping stone, there were bigger things in the air for him. B- Steve Flash pinned Rick Sanders at 8:40 after hitting Sanders in the gut with a wrench, leading to the Flash of Brilliance. C+ Scout talked about Sam Keith, how he respected him deeply, but he didn't have to get involved when Scout was dealing with Chance Fortune. That made this personal, which was bad news for Sam Keith. B [B]NYCW Empire Title:[/B] Scout and Sam Keith fought to a Double DQ at 21:46 when Steve Flash and Rick Sanders both got involved, stemming from the brawl last week. B Rip Chord is still better than you: at tipping valets. A [B]Overall: C+ [I](needed more angles)[/B][/I] [I][B]Next Week: The NY Knockout tournament continues, as Jimmy Cox faces Tennessee Bennett, Chance Fortune meets Barry Kingman, and in the main event of the evening, Steve Flash meets Sam Keith -- all NY Knockout Tournament Matches. Also: Unstable defends the tag titles, with Heat & Nuclear taking on Jesse Hernandez & Dickie Gellar.[/B][/I]

Flash's heel turn caught me by surprise, which is nice. I liek him as a heel and can see him becoming more successful as a heel. With all the extra money you are making, have you managed to sign some of your guys to written deals? locking up Scout, MJC, Flash and poison would help for the future of NYCW!

They, without question, home to the best collection of female workers the world has ever seen, and that's a blessing and a curse. There are very few talented workers they don't have access to (Victoria Stone, Tamara McFly, & Junko in NOTBPW, SWF's Wanda Fish and AAA's Catherine Quine) and they have no real shot at getting better, unless some major rookies come along. Next update, we'll look at CGC and WLW. Randall Hopkirk won the TCW International Title, it was a 4-way with hardcore specialists Madman Boone, Stink, and former champion Genghis Rahn. Boone & Rahn made up for it a few weeks later by beating Hopkirk & BJ Shearer for the tag titles. While Scout is the NYCW Champion, his longtime tag partner Guide has taken the DAVE Unified Title. [B]Fridays in the Bronx Week 2, June Crowd: 1,863[/B] Nevada Nuclear came out, declaring that "we" challenge anyone, Dickie Gellar came out, taking it literally, as he accepted Unstable's challenge on behalf of himself and Jesse Hernandez. [B]C[/B] Unstable defeated Jesse & Dickie at 8:50 when Nevada Nuclear pinned Gellar after a low blow and The Meltdown (Tiger Driver). Not very good, but these guys (except Insane Heat, who is 36) are young (Nuclear's 24, Hernandez is 21, Gellar is 20) and can improve over time. [B]D[/B] Frankie Perez scored a clean win over Ace Youngblood with the P-Clutch (Frankie's moved off the Philadelphia thing, because we now have an eye on expanding, and we don't want him getting face pops there) at 9:54. Good win for Perez, who is pretty underused. [B]C-[/B] After the match. Tennessee Bennett ran in for an attack on Perez.[B]D[/B] New York Knockout Tournament, Round 1: Jimmy Cox made Tennessee Bennett submit to the Boston Crab at 8:53. Cox advances to the semis. [B]C-[/B] Chance Fourtune came out to talk about his second chance, the opportunity he'd get to even the score with Scout if he managed to win the New York Knockout tournament. Fortune knew that any time you got a second chance, you had to seize it, so he was prepared to go out with guns blazing against Barry Kingman. [B]C+[/B] New York Knockout Tournament, Round 1: Chance Fortune pinned Barry Kingman at 9:55 after the Stroke of Luck. [B]C[/B] A Video played, hyping up the impending showdown between turncoat NYCW Icon Steve Flash and the legendary Sam Keith. [B]C+[/B] Rip Chord came out to... praise Sam Keith? He said Keith was one of the legends of the sport, a man who has won gold in every country there is to win gold in, who has been a driving force in the International Wrestling scene for a long, long, time. And even now, in the twilight of his career, he was still fighting when there was nothing left to fight for. Steve Flash, Rip explained, has been around for a long time too. He's been toiling for decades, and has had nothing to show for it until recently. But tonight, with a victory over Sam Keith, he could change the course of his entire career. [B]B+[/B] New York Knockout Tournament, Round 1: Sam Keith made Steve Flash submit to the Proton Lock at 15:59, Sam Keith advances to the semis. [B]B[/B] Rip [B]A[/B] [B]Overall: C+[/B] Let's skip right to the next FitB, where we'll see the semifinals of the NY Knockout Tourney -- Sam Keith taking on Jimmy Cox and Chance Fortune vs Mean Jean Cattley. There's also a new arrival on the scene, respected technical wrestler Art Reed, who'll meet Scout in a non-title affair. Then there's a tag team main event, Scout (pulling double duty) teams with Camp Chord's Steve Flash to face Sam Keith (also pulling double duty) and Rick Sanders. [B]FitB Week 3, June Crowd: 1,716[/B] Dickie Gellar came out to say he was happy to be back in NYCW, where he'll be working as a wrestler, and now as the full-time announcer alongside Rip Chord in the broadcast booth. He was sorry to have been gone for so long, but was now happy to be back home in NYCW. (yes, we're strapped of charismatic guys tonight and needed to fill non-wrestling time. Wanna make something of it?) [B]C[/B] Art Reed made Darryl "The Dog" Freeman submit to The Dread Lock at 5:35 [B]C[/B] Promo Time: Chance Fortune knows that Mean Jean Cattley is probably the wrestler riding the biggest hot streak, but he'd see to it that the streak came to an end tonight. [B]C+[/B] New York Knockout Tournament: Round Two: Mean Jean Cattley defeated Chance Fortune at 8:49 with the Mood Swing [B]B-[/B] New York Knockout Tournament: Round Two: Sam Keith defeated Jimmy Cox at 9:32, with Scout's Danger Ahead. [B]B[/B] Mean Jean Cattley, cutting a killer promo on Keith, about how next Thursday, he'd prove to everyone that he belongs with the big boys, then he'd prove to be the biggest of them all by winning the Empire Title. [B]B-[/B] Another promo, this one with Scout. Art Reed is a lifelong middle man, never to be the top gun. Scout accused Reed of being upset that he didn't get an offer to run off for the big money like Gonzalez, Henry Lee, Eddie Peak, and the others. [B]B-[/B] Non-Title: Art Reed beat Scout by DQ at 16:42 when Rip Chord interfered on Scout's behalf, in full view of the referee. Chord and Scout were seen arguing on the way to the back, where Dickie Gellar stopped to get a word with Chord. Chord explained that he felt Scout needed to save something for the main event, where he and Steve Flash would dismantle Rick Sanders & Sam Keith. First, a few tidbits about what's going in the wrestling world. -Enforcer Roberts took the next step, ending Steve Frehley's SWF World Title reign. Frehley has since unsuccessfuly tried to dethrone North American Champion Henry Lee. -The Warriors of the Deep have celebrated their title reign by consistently losing non title matches to Joey Minnesota (now an SWF Midcarder) and [INSERT PARTNER HERE]. The latest partner: Warlord Pain. -NYCW has had problems in the locker room, as Rip Chord has been having words with referee Dewey Libertine. [B]NYCW: New York Knockout Thursday, Week 4, June Crowd: 1,691[/B] Donnie J. is out first, announcing that he's been a little invisible lately, he hasn't lived up to his start, where he won the Empire title on his first night, but he'd start his climb back to the top tonight. [B]C[/B] Donnie J pinned Marc Speed at 6:57 with Death on Miami Beach [B]C-[/B] Dickie Gellar cut a promo on behalf of his buddy Jesse Hernandez, saying he was going to dance all over The Insane Heat's face, but Heat would probably like it. Then he'd pin Insane Heat, and he wouldn't like that... maybe. [B]C-[/B] Jesse Hernandez pinned The Insane Heat at 9:14 with a superkick. [B]C-[/B] Rip Chord was out for multi-purpose promo duty. Art Reed was going to find out what NYCW Champions are made of, thanks to Champagne Lover, Steve Flash would step into the cage and handle Rick Sanders, then Mean Jean Cattley would earn a crack at Scout, bringing the Empire Title home to Camp Chord. [B]B[/B] Hype Video: Highlighting the amazing skill of Sam Keith, the incredible streak of Mean Jean Cattley, and their impending showdown. [B]B-[/B] Art Reed pinned Champagne Lover at 11:46 with the Dread Lock. Champagne Lover, once a big drawing card, now suffers because his name can lure in ticket sales, as he's pretty over in the tri-state area, but suffers because he lacks overness elsewhere in the states. Joey Poison suffers from the same problem, as does, to a lesser extent, Perez. [B]B-[/B] Steel Cage Match: Rick Sanders vs Steve Flash. Good Brawl, as Flash is capable of pulling off just about any style of match well, with both men going back and forth tenaciously, with good emotion. The End Came when Flash caught Sanders putting his head down, which gave Steve enough time to hit a Flash of Brilliance, good enough for a pinfall in this old school style cage match. Winner: Steve Flash [B]C+[/B] Mean Jean Cattley talking about how things have to change sometimes, things have to evolve. Sam Keith has had a great run, but it's time for the next generation to take its place at the top. Excellent promo by Cattley, who truly has all the tools to be a great in the business. [B]B-[/B] New York Knockout: Finals -- Sam Keith defeated Mean Jean Cattley at 14:37 via submission to the Proton Lock. Cattley held on for over three minutes in the lock before finally giving in, then appeared to be cursing himself for tapping out. Announcer Dickie Gellar noted the string of submission victories, and wondered if it meant we'd see Scout fall to the Proton Lock tonight, an idea Rip Chord scoffed at. After the match, Kingman delivered a vicious beatdown to Bennett. [B]C (Match) C- (Beatdown)[/B] Mean Jean Cattley talked about being disgusted with himself for tapping out to the Proton Lock, in what he called a 'moment of weakness.' [B]B-[/B] In a quick spot, we see Rip Chord throw a roll of bills toward someone off-screen. "Good job Barry." Rip stated, muttering "stupid cowboy" under his breath. [B]B+[/B] Sam Keith was out next. "I'm a man of few words, so I'll keep this short," he began. "Scout, you've laid down the gauntlet to me, and I haven't been able to get that belt yet, but tonight, I promise you I'll get that Empire Title, or at the very least I'll give it everything I have to give." Keith warned Scout that he'd be smart to do the same. [B]B-[/B] [B]NYCW Empire Title:[/B] Sam Keith vs Scout(c) Very good match, as is to be expected, with tons of back and forth action, sound psychology, and convincing near falls all the way through. This was the kind of epic that had been forgotten in wrestling, the extended title match, finally coming to an end at 41 minutes, 57 seconds time when Scout caught Keith with Danger Ahead for the win. Winner, and Still NYCW Empire Champion: Scout [B]B[/B] Post match, both men were given a standing ovation, while the announcers both heralded Scout as a true fighting champion, whether you like the way he operates or not. Both put Keith over as a worthy challenger, and still one of the greatest wrestlers in the world. The two shook hands, as they did after their first meeting, then Scout left the ring, the Empire Title slung over his shoulder. Keith hung on to celebrate, until Rip Chord stood up at the announce table, took the house mic, then lambasted Keith for celebrating after blowing his chance at the title. He continued to ramble on about Keith, creating a diversion... That allowed Steve Flash and Mean Jean Cattley to hit the ring and deliver a big beatdown to Keith, who was exhausted after almost 3/4 of an hour's worth of wrestling. The vicious attacked ended when Cattley put Keith on the ring apron, delivering the Mood Swing to the cold plywood floor. Camp Chord left gloating, Keith left on a stretcher. [B]B+ Overall: B-[/B] [COLOR=RoyalBlue][B]In Other News...[/B][/COLOR] Three title changes in one night for SOTBPW, as Blood Raven beat Champagne Lover for the #1 Contendership, Los Sickness beat Los Heartbreakers for the tag titles, and Charron beat Cyclone for the World Title. And in sad news, feel good tag team of the year Jumbo Shrimp & Lobster Warrior, the Warriors of the Deep, lost the tag team titles to the team they won them from; Sexual Aggression. Poor Darryl Devine, since joining SWF in January of 2006, has amassed a 0-8 record since then. I don't know what's worse, only wrestling eight times in 19 months, or losing all 8 matches. Enforcer Roberts' SWF World Title reign came to an end at the hands of Christian Faith at The Supreme Challenge. Jumbo Shrimp compensated for losing his share of the SWF Tag Titles by winning the promotions North American title from Henry Lee. [I][B]Next time: It's a 3-way for the tag titles, as Unstable defends against Cowboys & Indians, and Perez & Champagne from Camp Chord. Mean Jean Cattley defends the Tri-State title against his longtime thorn in the side, Joey Poison, and Scout, who seemingly can't be beaten by one man, faces two challengers: it's a 3-way against Chance Fortune and Donnie J.[/B][/I]

[B]Fridays in the Bronx Week 2, July Crowd: 1,761[/B] Terry Agony, a newcomer, walked out for a match, but then decided against it and ran out of the building. [B]C-[/B] Nevada Nuclear continued the weird portion of the show by gleefuly stating that "there are so many people for us to infect!" The Insane Heat spent his time breaking a glass ketchup bottle over his head. [B]C-[/B] [B]NYCW Tag Team Titles:[/B] Camp Chord defeated Cowboys & Indians and Unstable at 9:01 when Frankie Perez made The Insane Heat submit to the P-Clutch. Camp Chord won the NYCW Tag Team Titles. [B]C-[/B] Mean Jean Cattley said that everyone was caught up in Scout and Sam Keith, and they forgot about the Tri-State Champ. He made them remember by taking care of Sam Keith so thorougly, he'd never show his face here again. Tonight, he'd whip up on Joey Poison again, then challenged anyone who had enough guts to take him on next week, he'd put the Tri-State title on the line, and wasn't afraid to say that because there was no way Poison could take it from him. [B]B-[/B] [B]NYCW Tri-State Title:[/B] Mean Jean Cattley pinned Joey Poison at 8:06 with the Mood Swing. [B]B[/B] Robert Oxford made The Insane Heat submit to The Oxford Stretch at 6:43. [B]C[/B] Art Reed defeated Jimmy Cox at 12:48 when Cox submitted to the Dread Lock [B]B-[/B] Scout came out to state the obvious: there wasn't one man who could beat him, so they had to throw two contenders into the mix, two guys he's beaten alone before. Chance Fortune came out next, to say that he was grateful for one more chance, and that this time, his fortune would change. [B]B-[/B] [B]NYCW Empire Title:[/B] Scout defeated Donnie J. and Chance Fortune in a 3-way dance at 14:47, after pinning Chance Fortune after Danger Ahead. This stems from an AMAZING show they put on, highlighted by Sean McFly retaining the Canadian Title in an all-time classic against Dan Stone Jr, and very good matches pitting Dark Angel against Nate Johnson and Duane Stone against The Natural. Similarly, Ring of Fire has taken the step up to Regional in the UK, making 21CW the smallest promotion there, and, along with 4C, smallest in the world. [B]Fridays in the Bronx Week 3, July Crowd: 2000 (Sellout)[/B] [I]Showcase Match:[/I] Art Reed made Terry Agony submit to the Dreadlock at 6:40. [B]C[/B] Joey Poison was out on promo duty, he was going up against Marc Speed, and he promised to have a killer time getting the win. [B]C+[/B] Joey Poison beat Marc Speed at 6:11 with the Antidote Web [B]C[/B] Ace Youngblood's out next, to cut the usual promo. Native American Pride, fighting the good fight, blah blah blah. Bad promo. [B]D[/B] The Insane Heat beat Ace Youngblood at 8:46 [B]C-[/B] Tag champion Champagne Lover was out next, talking about how good it was to feel the gold around his waist again, to smell the sweet smell of the leather strap touching against his abdominals (Champagne's word, not mine). He'd beat Rick Sanders, then use that as a springboard to more gold. [B]C+[/B] Champagne Lover defeated Rick Sanders at 8:47, after Rip Chord left the broadcast booth to trip up Sanders, allowing Champagne Lover to roll him up, hanging onto the ropes for the pin. [B]C+[/B] Rip Chord stayed around the ring, playing up Champagne's win, then boasting that Camp Chord would make it 2-for-2 tonight, as Steve Flash would exterminate "that smelly, cow loving, redneck Tennessee Bennett. Then Cattley would make it 3." [B]B+[/B] Steve Flash beat Tenessee Bennett at 10:54 with the Flash of Brilliance. Clean win for Steve, just to keep the distinction between midcarder and prime time player clear. [B]C+[/B] Mean Jean Cattley's turn, as he dared someone, anyone, to come out and face him. The chants in the crowd were unanimous. [I]"Keith! Keith! Keith! Keith!"[/I] [I]"Sam Keith's not here."[/I] Cattley explained. [I]"I told you, after what I did to him, you'll never see him step foot in NYCW again!"[/I] Some upbeat indy girl-punk flared up, interrupting Cattley, and bringing out one of the darlings of the indy circuit, top women's wrestler Joanne Rodriguez. Joanne boasted that she'd gone everywhere she could to face the best women in the world, and now she wanted a crack at the boys, and she heard the toughest boys out there were in NYCW. Cattley told her that if she was dumb enough to want to face him, he'd be mean enough to fight back. [B]C+[/B] [B]NYCW Tri-State Title:[/B] Mean Jean Cattley defeated Joanne Rodriguez at 7:44. [B]JULY 2007 Week 4, July Crowd: 2000 (sellout)[/B] Nevada Nuclear said that we were feeling the need to infect someone. Joey Poison was there to point out that he was talking to himself. In the weird world of wrestling, that's enough for a match. [B]C+[/B] Joey Poison defeated Nevada Nuclear at 5:49 with the Antidote Web [B]C[/B] Rip Chord was next, talking about Frankie Perez taking the next step tonight, by scoring a win over former Empire Champion Donnie J. [B]C+[/B] Donnie J beat Frankie Perez at 8:38 with Death on Miami Beach [B]C[/B] Chance Fortune promo, where he acknowledge his defeat at the hands of Scout, and said that sometimes, you take a chance and lose, and then you have to pick up the pieces and move on, which was what he'd do against Jimmy Cox tonight. [B]B-[/B] Chance Fortune beat Jimmy Cox at 7:54 via DQ, when Cox failed to break a choke hold. [B]C+[/B] Mean Jean Cattley begrudgingly gave Joanne Rodriguez credit for being a tougher match than he bargained for, but he wouldn't make the mistake of treating the fairer sex with kid gloves twice. What chance would any woman have, even one as tough as Rodriguez, have at taking on the man who took out Sam Keith? [B]C[/B] Tri-State Title: Joanne Rodriguez defeated Mean Jean Cattley when Sam Keith intervened after a ref bump, KO'ing Cattley with a lead pipe, leading to a J-Ro victory at 8:12. Joanne Rodriguez wins the NYCW Tri-State Title. Sam Keith continues the attack, hammering Cattley with repeated fists until security breaks things up, helping Cattley to the back. [B]C+ (Match) B- (Attack)[/B] Sam Keith grabs the mic, letting the NYCW fans know that rumors of his demise have been greatly exxagerated. After losing to Scout and being beaten and embarassed by Cattley, he went up North for a while, and he got ready, ready to come back and deal with Mean Jean Cattley. [B](C+)[/B] Rip Chord got on the mic, and demanded that someone in Camp Chord be allowed to get a measure of revenge on Sam Keith tonight. Keith was right back out to answer the call, and almost got a piece of Chord before Champagne Lover attacked from behind to start an impromptu match. [B]A[/B] Sam Keith made Champagne Lover submit to the Proton Lock at 13:01 [B]B[/B] Scout was out to say that he knows he's playing into Art Reed's hands in this submission exhibition, that's why the title wasn't on the line. Reed has the Dread Lock, Scout has nothing comparable, but he'd still find a way to beat Reed at his own game, and if he didn't, Reed would get his crack at the title. [B]Fridays in the Bronx Week 1, August Crowd: 2000 (sellout, 3rd straight Tri-State sellout)[/B] King Agony was out to make a challenge to someone who has been a thorn in his side since day one... referee Dewey Libertine? Um, ok. [B]C-[/B] Nevada Nuclear was out, very upset. "We hate dancing!" He screamed, "Hate, Hate, HATE!" Jesse Hernandez danced to the ring for the Insta-Match. [B]C[/B] Nevada Nuclear defeated Jesse Hernandez at 6:05, feet up on the ropes. [B]D[/B] Frankie Perez was next, presenting an interesting challenge -- anyone who could beat him one on one, could get a tag title shot with a partner of their choosing against himself and Champagne Lover. [B]C+[/B] Frankie Perez and Joey Poison battled to a no-contest, when the ref was bumped and Champagne Lover ran out, and a 2-on-1 on Poison commenced, but Donnie J. ran in for the save. When the referee woke up, he called for the bell and the DDQ. [B]C[/B] Mean Jean Cattley up next with a warning: thanks to Sam Keith, he was meaner than ever. [B]C[/B] Mean Jean Cattley pinned Rick Sanders at 7:51 with the Mood Swing. More competitive than a squash, but Cattley was just plain fierce. [B]C+[/B] Next was an indy-musicriffic video featuring Robert Oxford and Barry Kingman, in the "neither guy is charismatic, but we have to fill non-wrestling time" segment. [B]C[/B] Robert Oxford defeated Barry Kingman at 10:49 via submission to the OxLock [B]C+[/B] Rip Chord out next to extend Frankie Perez's previous offer. If Donnie J. could beat Champagne Lover, he'd secure a tag title shot for himself and Joey Poison on a future show. [B]B-[/B] Donnie J defeated Champagne Lover at 12:32 with Death on Miami Beach. [B]C+[/B] The red-hot Rip Chord was shown at the broadcast booth, seething. Dickie Gellar was cackling just off-camera. [B]A*[/B] Scout was on promo duty. Art Reed won in his element, but now Scout was in his: with the Empire Title on the line. He thrives on the pressure of being the champion, it makes him better, makes him dominant. [B]C+[/B] NYCW Empire Title: Art Reed and Scout fought to a 30 minute time limit draw. Scout retains the NYCW Empire Title. [B]B[/B] Rip Chord is Better Than You: At winning money in scratch-off tickets. Darryl "The Dog" Freeman at 4:31 via submission to the Proton Lock [B]C+[/B] Rick Sanders pinned The Insane Heat at 6:15 after Ace's High [B]C-[/B] Champagne Lover & Frankie Perez were out on promo duty. They've accustomed themselves to the lifestyle of being the tag team champions, which, according to Champagne, is full of nothing but the finest aged champagne, the finest, not so aged women, and a fleet of leemozines so large, they could carry the entire population of the Bronx away to a more suitable destination, the city dump. [B]C+[/B] NYCW Tag Team Titles: Camp Chord defeated Cowboys & Indians at 9:15 when Champagne Lover made Tennesee Bennett submit to the Champagne Breakfast. [B]C[/B] Promo Time: It's Chance Fortune talking about going back to start, looking to aim at Mean Jean Cattley and the Tri-State title, but first, he has to take on Barry Kingman to work his way up the ladder. [B]C+[/B] Barry Kingman defeated Chance Fortune at 10:38 via submission to the Kingman Clutch. [B]C[/B] Joanne Rodriguez was out to hype up her match for the Tri-State title against Jimmy Cox. She wanted the fans to think of her as a great champion, not just a great female champion, and she'd do it by taking on all comers. [B]C+[/B] Tri-State Title: Joanne Rodriguez defeated Jimmy Cox at 7:54 via disqualification, when Barry Kingman entered and attacked Rodriguez, powerslamming her and locking her in the Kingman Clutch, which had to be broken up by officials. [B]C (match) C (attack)[/B] Rip Chord was out on promo duty, talking for Steve Flash. We all forgot about Steve Flash, about how dangerous he is, but he would make us all remember tonight. [B]B[/B] Steve Flash scored a clean win over Donnie J. at 14:43 with the Flash of Brilliance. [B]C+[/B] Mean Jean Cattley talked about wanting to even the score with Sam Keith, an old man who needs to be put down like the aging, limping dog he is. [B]B[/B] Sam Keith & Art Reed defeated Mean Jean Cattley & Scout at 23:56 in a great match, ending when Keith had Scout trapped in the Proton Lock and Reed had Cattley in the Dread Lock, with Cattley submitting first. [B]B+[/B] Joanne Rodriguez is hotter than you (wait... what?) When shooting T-shirts [B]A*[/B] Rip Chord Is Better Than You: At playing Texas Hold 'Em (yep, it's still popular in 2007) [B]A* Overall: B-[/B] A change in the top could be in the works, as TCW is slowly holding a pattern of putting on better shows than SWF, who is seemingly struggling with Christian Faith on top. The best match on the latest Supreme TV was the opener, seeing The Almighty Dollar defeating Kurt Laramee & Wolf Hawkins, which would've been one of the worst matches on a good Total Wrestling show highlighted by a good match between Harry Allen and Shawn Gonzalez, won by Gonzalez, and Liberty and Tommy Cornell beating (not to mention carrying) The Demons of Rage in a very good main event. As for us, we're inching toward C+ in the tri-state area, which would break the tie between us and NOTBPW for the title of 4th most popular promotion in the area, behind SWF and TCW (tied for #1) and DAVE (#3) Not bad for a company that was on its deathbed 20 months ago. [I][B]Next time: Sam Keith and Scout face off once more for the Empire Title, Mean Jean Cattley and Barry Kingman team up against Joanne Rodriguez & Dickie Gellar, plus Steve Flash vs Chance Fortune.[/B][/I]

Ace Youngblood at 8:57 via submission to the Boston Crab [B]C[/B] Chance Fortune promo, he still hasn't forgiven Steve Flash for turning on the NYCW Fans. Tonight is personal. [B]C+[/B] Steve Flash defeated Chance Fortune at 12:29 with the Flash of Brilliance. [B]C+[/B] Camp Chord (Champagne & Perez) were next up on promo duty. Donnie J and Joey Poison may have got lucky in one-on-one action, but it was a different story tonight. [B]C[/B] Joey Poison & Donnie J. beat Camp Chord at 9:37 by Disqualification when Frankie Perez broke up a pin on Champagne with a chair. [B]C+[/B] Joanne Rodriguez and Dickie Gellar did a promo, mainly Dickie playing an over the top horny teenager to perfection. [B]C+[/B] Mean Jean Cattley & Barry Kingman defeated Joanne Rodriguez & Dickie Gellar at 8:46 when Cattley got his win back from J-Ro with the Mean Streak. [B]C[/B] Scout was out to talk about Sam Keith. Just the basics, he beat Keith before, he would again. Well delivered. [B]B+[/B] Sam Keith defeated Scout at 27:41 via DQ when Mean Jean Cattley attacked Keith. This brought out Joanne Rodriguez, which brought out Barry Kingman, and an enitre procession of workers for a huge brawl. Dickie Gellar left the broadcast position, dressed up as "Coors Lover," a redneck version of Champagne. He said he'd take the tag titles back to his trailer, where they'd fit nicely in between his NASCAR collector's plate. [B]C+[/B] NYCW Tag Titles: Camp Chord defeated Dickie & Jesse at 6:44 when Perez made Jesse Hernandez submit to the P-Clutch [B]C[/B] Chance Fortune knows he's been on a losing streak as of late, but the funny thing about luck is that it can swing around in your favor any time. [B]C[/B] Sam Keith made The Insane Heat submit to the Proton Lock at 8:41. Sam Keith is just as, if not more useful for pulling main event caliber matches out of the Midcard as he is in putting on good/great matches with the top of the card. [B]B-[/B] Mean Jean Cattley was in a particularly bad mood tonight. He wanted Sam Keith, and he wound up with Tennessee Bennett. That meant one thing: tonight, he would kill the cowboy. [B]B-[/B] Mean Jean Cattley beat Tennessee Bennett at 6:57 with the Mood Swing [B]C+[/B] Joanne Rodriguez was out to explain that she didn't know what's up with Barry Kingman, but she'd prove to be the better person tonight by beating Kingman in the ring. Afterward, Kingman locked on the Kingman Clutch and wouldn't let go until officials intervened for the second time in three weeks. [B]C+ (Match) C+ (Attack)[/B] Scout reiterated his previous statements, he was in his element with the title on the line. Rip asked the big question, why Kingman was so focused on attacking Joanne Rodriguez. "I grew up around this business." Kingman explained. "My father was a wrestler, and he taught me at a young age to respect professional wrestling. So, to see a title, a men's title, like the Tri-State Championship desecrated like that... I had to do something about it. I didn't care if I won the title or someone else did, just as long as she didn't have it. And now, Steve Flash, a respectable [B]man[/B] has the title." [B]B+[/B] Rip Chord is Better Than You: At bicycling, complete in his yellow jersey. [B]A* Overall: C+, on the weakness of the Ironman. [I]Next time: Sam Keith takes on Barry Kingman, Steve Flash takes on an as-yet unnamed opponent, and MJC takes on Chance Fortune.[/B][/I]

[B]Week 4, September Crowd: A [I]disasterous[/I] 800[/B] Dickie Gellar and Joey Poison are out first. They know Donnie J and Jesse Hernandez are their usual partners, but they've decided to throw Camp Chord a curveball tonight. [B]C+[/B] NYCW Tag Team Titles: Camp Chord defeated Joey Poison & Dickie Gellar at 11:16 after Champagne made Gellar submit to the Champagne Breakfast. [B]C[/B] Nevada Nuclear hates the cowboy: the wild west should be turned into a wasteland, we'll turn it into a wasteland tonight. [B]C[/B] Nevada Nuclear defeated Tennessee Bennett at 8:34 after the Mushroom Cloud. [B]C-[/B] Chance Fortune knows he hasn't had the best luck against Mean Jean Cattley, but he was ready for luck to be on his side tonight. [B]C+[/B] Art Reed made Darryl "The Dog" Freeman submit to the Dread Lock at 7:38 [B]C+[/B] Mean Jean Cattley calls Chance Fortune a loser. MJC doesn't need luck, all he needs is a little mood swing. [B]B[/B] Mean Jean Cattley defeated Chance Fortune at 11:39 with the Mood Swing. [B]C+[/B] Rip Chord is out again, it doesn't matter who Steve Flash is facing tonight, he'll win. [B]A[/B] Non-Title: Alex Braun defeated Steve Flash at 13:47. Big debut for Braun, who was over with the tri-state crowd and had a very good match with Steve Flash. [B]B[/B] Braun hits the mic to accept Scout's challenge. He'd won gold down south (USPW reference) and now he'd try to do the same up here in the Big Apple. With that, the battle of the DAVE tag wrestlers/NYCW main eventers was on. [B]A[/B] Sam Keith made Barry Kingman submit to the Proton Lock at 14:52. Very good match, after which Mean Jean Cattley rushed the ring to face off with Keith. The locker room emptied, with most of the wrestlers who were on the card tonight holding off the two grapplers. [B]B (Match) B (Brawl)[/B] Sam Keith Is Better Than Rip Chord: At basketball, and proved it by hitting a shot from farther away from the basket than Rip did on a previous segment. [B]B+[/B] Rip Chord Is Better Than You: At Arm-Wrestling, as he takes down nameless, faceless musclemen. [B]A* Overall: B [I]Big show next week, with a double main event, as Scout defends the Empire Title against an unlikely challenger, Joanne Rodriguez. Then there's a three way match for a shot at Scout's title, which will feature Mean Jean Cattley, Sam Keith, and Alex Braun. Steve Flash defends the Tri-State title against Robert Oxford. Also in action: Chance Fortune, Donnie J, The Insane Heat, and more.[/B][/I]

Tadiyuki Kikkawa lost the Burning World Title, as Hooded Kudo has gone with the trend and booked himself a title reign. So did Sam Keith, as he won the SWF North American title from Eddie Peak. The next night, Flex & Pecs won the tag titles from Sexual Aggression. Speaking of booking, the CZCW job was filled some time ago by CGC tag wrestler Bobby Thomas, but I didn't notice. The AAA job was claimed by, of all people, Leo Davis, who doesn't have any real talent at... well, anything, booking included. Why they didn't promote from within and sign Shane Sneer is beyond me, perhaps because of his multiple committments. [B]Fridays in the Bronx Week 1, October Crowd: 2000 (Another sellout)[/B] [I]Dark match: Dickie Gellar d. Dominion (a rookie) at 5:47 with the Dickie Driver (C- )[/I] Terry Agony doesn't like Rick Sanders. He hates Rick Sanders. Why? Someone named Rick Sanders routinely beat him up in the first grade. It's not the same guy, but he'll have to take it out on this Rick Sanders. [B]C-[/B] Rick Sanders defeated Terry Agony at 5:49 with Ace's High [B]C-[/B] Dickie's Den: Donnie J has been spending time surfing the waves, hanging out in Cali, and now that he was back in New York, where the leaves are changing and the weather's about to get chilly, it was time to knuckle up and go to work. [B]B[/B] Donnie J. defeated Marc Speed at 8:49 with Death on Miami Beach [B]C[/B] Chance Fortune is on promo duty, out to say that The Insane Heat is one hell of a wrestler, but Chance is desperate for a win to bounce back, and acknowledges it. He has the feeling a stroke of luck is headed Heat's way. [B]C+[/B] Chance Fortune defeated The Insane Heat at 10:55 with the Stroke of Luck [B]C[/B] Joanne Rodriguez out to run down all of the haters, namely Barry Kingman. She vowed to show them all up tonight by doing the unthinkable, winning the Empire Title. [B]B[/B] NYCW Tri-State Title: Steve Flash defeated Robert Oxford at 20:41 after interference from Rip Chord. [B]B-[/B] Alex Braun is out next. He doesn't expect to be handed a title shot right off the bat, so he agreed to face Sam Keith and Mean Jean Cattley in a 3-way to see who'll face Scout next week. [B]B[/B] Promo Time: Scout says he respects Joanne Rodriguez, and she'd get no breaks tonight, like other people give her -- whether they admit it or not. He doesn't care who wins the 3-way either -- Braun, Keith, or Cattley -- he'll take down any of them. [B]B[/B] NYCW Empire Title: Scout defeated Joanne Rodriguez at 10:55 with Danger Ahead. [B]B[/B] Mean Jean Cattley is out next to talk about opportunity, specifically the opportunity he has tonight, where he can settle the score with Sam Keith and get a shot at the gold in one fell swoop. [B]B+[/B] Alex Braun d. Sam Keith d. Mean Jean Cattley in a Triangle Match for the #1 Contendership, pinning Cattley at 14:37 with Braun Damage [B]B+[/B] Rip Chord Is Better Than You: At rowboating. [B]A* Overall: B[/B] -Flex and Pecs performed their customary duty as new SWF Tag champs by defeating The Warriors of the Deep, then promptly jobbed the titles to new tag champions Sam Keith and Rich Money. [B][I]Next time: Scout defends the NYCW Empire Title against Alex Braun. Sam Keith is in action against Camp Chord's Frankie Perez, and there's a big tag match as Chord's team of Mean Jean Cattley and Steve Flash take on the dangerous tandem of Robert Oxford and Art Reed. And in a grudge match, Barry Kingman takes on Joanne Rodriguez. [/I] [/B]

[I][NOTE: 2nd Dynasty to hit 2000 views... sweet. Only 1000 of them were me... sweeter.][/I] [B]Fridays in the Bronx Week 2, October Crowd: 2000 (sellout)[/B] Nevada Nuclear came out for a more drawn out promo, he grew up in Carson City, Nevada. He was a normal child until he ran into that reactor... then we came together, we were special. What this had to do with Unstable's match with Cowboys & Indians is beyond me. [B]C+[/B] Unstable defeated Cowboys & Indians at 6:47 when Nuclear pinned Bennett after The Mushroom Cloud. [B]C-[/B] Chance Fortune added to his winning streak by beating Jimmy Cox at 9:36 via pinfall after the Stroke of Luck. [B]C[/B] Grudge Match: Barry Kingman defeated Joanne Rodriguez after a ref bump and powder in the eyes led J-Ro to get locked in the Kingman Clutch, where she submitted at 9:07 [B]B-[/B] Sam Keith made Frankie Perez submit to the Proton Lock at 19:50 [B]B[/B] Scout Promo: He says Alex Braun is the second coming of Art Reed -- a DAVEr pissed that Richard Eisen didn't give him a call, so he went down South to become a cartoon character, and did pretty well until Redwood wanted his ball back. Tonight, he'd be cast by the wayside, just like all the others. [B]B+[/B] Rip Chord and Mean Jean Cattley were out to talk teamwork, about how Camp Chord was a unit, and Reed and Oxford were thrown together. [B]B-[/B] Robert Oxford and Art Reed defeated Mean Jean Cattley and Steve Flash by DQ at the 15:52 mark when Rip Chord interfered. Post match, Oxford turned on Art Reed, joining Chord, Flash, and Cattley in a 4-on-1 on Reed. [B]B (Match) B-(Turn)[/B] Alex Braun is out, and speaks honestly, he would like a shot at fame, and that's why he's here. NYCW is the fastest growing promotion in professional wrestling, and he felt he had to be a part of it. If Scout could beat him, so be it, if not, he'd continue to fight to make NYCW the best it can be. [B]A[/B] NYCW Empire Title: Alex Braun defeated Scout at 12:44 with Braun Damage to win the NYCW Empire title in a total shocker. Big celebration to follow, with the fans rallying around Braun, the man who finally slew the dragon that is Scout. [B]B (Match) A (Celebration)[/B] The closing ceremonies: Joanne Rodriguez shoots some shirts, then Rip Chord is Better Than You: At tic-tac-toe [B]A* (Times 2)[/B] [B]Overall: B[/B] I sent out feelers for the hell of it, but Joey Minnesota has decided to stay with the SWF. And with that, it's time for an NYCW double shot. As I write this, it's 2008 game time, so it's a good time for catch-up. [B]Week 3, October Crowd: 2000 (sellout)[/B] Joanne Rodriguez talks briefly about her upcoming encounter with Darryl Freeman, then moves on to Barry Kingman. He proved what kind of a man he is by cheating last week, but she'd get the better of him when they met again. [B]B[/B] Joanne Rodriguez pinned Darryl "The Dog" Freeman at 6:32 with the J-Rocker [B]C[/B] Mean Jean Cattley is on promo duty: Joey Poison beat him a while back, and it got the ball rolling, it started making Jean Cattley a little bit meaner. Tonight, he'd get to see the effect of his victory. [B]B[/B] Dickie's Den: Donnie J. is going to win the Tri-State title tonight. That's about it. [B]C[/B] Mean Jean Cattley defeated Joey Poison at 11:47 with the Mood Swing. [B]B[/B] Rip Chord on Donnie J: Too much time surfing, not enough time in the ring. Steve Flash is a wrestling machine, devoted to nothing but his craft. [B]B-[/B] NYCW Tri-State Title: Steve Flash defeated Donnie J at 15:14 with the Flash of Brilliance [B]B-[/B] Scout congratulates the fans for getting their moment, they got to see Scout fall from grace. Enjoy it while it lasts, Scout advises, as he'll be back on top soon enough, and the fans that can't stand to see him on the top of the mountain will be back to normal, forking over their hard earned dollars to see him get beat, even though they know deep down it won't happen. [B]B+[/B] Scout defeated Rick Sanders at 9:57 with Danger Ahead [B]B[/B] Art Reed defeated Jimmy Cox at 20:42 via submission to the Dread Lock [B]B[/B] Alex Braun promo. He's found a place where he belongs, here in New York City, where a guy like Alex Braun -- someone who didn't have the best look in the world, or the best physique, or the most elite training, or a big family background -- could work hard enough, get noticed right away, and win the gold. [B]A[/B] NYCW Empire Title: Alex Braun defeated The Insane Heat at 10:51 via DQ, when The Insane Heat drove Braun through the timekeeper's table. [B]B+ [/B] (Looks like we found a good combo) Closing Ceremonies: JRo shoots some shirts, Rip Chord Is Better Than You: At Rock, Paper, Scissors. [B]Double Dose of A* Overall: B[/B] [COLOR=RoyalBlue][B]In Other News[/B][/COLOR] DAVE Icon Henry Lee won the SWF World Title over Christian Faith. Speaking of Christianity, Henry Lee is the champion of the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, isn't this one of the 7 signs? Needless to say, it certainly seems that TCW's Rick Law, in the midst of a 5-month reign, is the top champ in the US -- the SWF World title has changed hands four times in that space, with two of them being lackluster champs: Lee and Enforcer Roberts, both upper midcarders, due to the lack of heels in SWF ever since Train, Rich Money, and Remo went face. And coming up, it's a chance for [B]you[/B] to contribute to the diary. Private Message me your own custom Rip Chord is Better Than You's. Any RCIBTY's that I feel meet the standard (and considering the last 2 were Tic-Tac-Toe and Rock, Paper, Scissors, it should be easy) will be posted to the diary, with full credit, unless you prefer to remain anonymous. [I][B]Next Time: Alex Braun defends against Barry Kingman, while Kingman's rival Joanne Rodriguez tries to regain the Tri-State Title from Steve Flash. Sam Keith faces Nevada Nuclear, and there's a big grudge match, as Robert Oxford faces the man he betrayed, Art Reed. Also in action: Chance Fortune, Marc Speed, Cowboys & Indians, & The Insane Heat.[/B][/I]
