NYCW Invasion: New England Crowd: 822 Chance Fortune cut a promo, getting cheap pops by saying that the New England Patriots took a chance on a kid from Michigan late in the draft, and it paid off. But Barry Kingman? His luck has ran out. C Barry Kingman made Chance Fortune submit to the Kingman Clutch at 15:01, throwing a white substance in his eyes beforehand to disorient him enough to catch him in the move. C- Scout came out to simply say that he respected John Maverick for his ability, and just like Mav, he was all business. Scout has a way of making simple statements sound like the most grave threats. C+ Scout pinned John Maverick at 13:12 after Danger Ahead. C+ NYCW Tri-State Title: Steve Flash pinned Art Reed at 20:33 with the Flash of Brilliance B- Mean Jean Cattley cut a promo on The Wolverine, one half of one of the most aptly named teams in pro wrestling "Because they look, smell, and think like animals. Roll 'round in their own filth too, disgusting creatures." B NYCW Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley pinned The Wolverine after a foreign object shot at 10:25. B With Big Cat Brandon away working for another fed, Cattley tried to beat down the Wolverine, but Scout (#1 Contender by virtue of winning the big cage match) made the save. B RCIBTY: At three card monte, as he swindles the swindlers out of their swindlings. A Overall: B- Showdown in the Bronx Week 1, June Crowd: 4156 Dark Promo: Greg Richardson, a man no one had ever heard of, mysteriously appeared, entering the ring through the crowd. He called out Danny Jacobs, saying Jacobs knew why he was here. Danny Jacobs, looking confused came out, and it was time for an impromptu match C Dark Match: Danny Jacobs pinned Greg Richardson at 5:59 with the Prodigizer C- The Show The Latin Kings & Barry Kingman defeated Chance Fortune, Donnie J, & Joey Poison at 858 when Kingman made Poison submit to the Kingman Clutch, cheating to get Joey in the hold. B Animalz d. Oxford/Cox at 8:36 when Big Cat Brandon pinned Jimmy Cox after the Big Cat POUNCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE... period. (oops) A Alex Braun with another "man of the people" promo. He pledged to go a round with Nemesis, who he knows the people hate. And he'd do it the hard way... the hardcore way. A Non-Title: Scout pinned Steve Flash at 13:40 after Danger Ahead A* Nemesis promo The Gist: Braun's an old dog who needs to go behind the barn to be put out of his misery, but spoken in less Old Yellerish terms. A Nemesis pinned Alex Braun at 7:33, finishing him off with the Nemesis Arrow A Eric Tyler said that Sam Keith would get his fun tonight in a World Title match, and he'd have his fun too... cryptic, eh? A Eric Tyler pinned Haruki Kudo at 20:46 when Jimmy Cox interfered, setting up a Tyler Driver '06. A* Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley beat Sam Keith by DQ when referee Jez McArthur was bumped, Eric Tyler ran in, swinging a chair at Keith. Sam ducked, and Jez woke up to see Tyler crack Cattley and called for the bell at 18:34. Post match, MJC recovered enough to forgive Tyler and commence in the beatdown on SK, with Scout making the save. A* (Match) A (Attack) Closing Ceremonies: J-Ro shot some shirts, RCIBTY: At Making Chinese Food (who knew Rip owned a wok?). A* & A* And (drumroll please) Overall: A* 3 A* matches, not a single segment on the regular show under a B, now that's a show the tape traders will love, it may even get some event of the year buzz. In Other News From the "sucks for us" department, CGC has a new show airing on Fridays, which means we won't be seeing quite as much of Sam Keith, Big Cat Brandon, and John Maverick. Big news in TCW, where Painful Procedure's answer to Sammy Hagar, Troy Tornado, beat his ex bandmate Ronnie V. Pain to become the TCW World Champion. Ehhh... guess a spotlight is overdue. Housecleaning: Say sayonara to undercard job guy Dominion and former Tri-State Champion Rick Sanders. The absurdly talented Darryl Devine finally took home SWF gold, dethroning Human Arsenal for the Shooting Star Title. UCR - The TV Show debuted to an amazing crowd of 23,228 on Euro Cable Sports 4. Up Next: Another invasion, as we take our act south east to the home of USPW. Alex Braun takes on MJC for the Empire Title, Eric Tyler vs JRo, Nemesis meets The Wolverine, and more.

Invasion: South East Crowd: 900 NYCW Tag Titles: Future Shock (Danny Jacobs & Marc Speed) defeated The Latin Kings when Marc Speed pinned Frankie Perez after a spike cradle piledriver at 8:32 to score a huge upset win and the NYCW Tag Team Titles. C- Robert Oxford made Art Reed submit to the OxLock at 11:35 C+ Nemesis cut a promo on The Wolverine, just the usual trash talk. A Nemesis pinned The Wolverine, using the ropes for leverage at 7:43 B+ Wolverine expressed his anger... by putting himself through a table. A Eric Tyler cut a surprisingly weak promo on Joanne Rodriguez, relying too much on tired lines about the gender barrier. C+ Eric Tyler pinned Joanne Rodriguez at 1544 with the Tyler Driver '06 B+ Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley and Alex Braun fought to a DDQ at 10:34 B Closing Ceremonies: JRo's shirt shoot, and RCIBTY: At fishing for lobster. A* & B+, respectively. Overall: B I shoudn't worry too much about losing the CGC guys, as their TV show laid an egg, with 1,934 viewers on Q-TV for a subpar show that wasn't made any better by the fact that they ran the taping in the Southwestern US, where CGC is still building an audience. It'll surely be cancelled quickly, like the other three shows CGC has had. Up next: Scout gets his shot against MJC

I've just realised that I've never posted in this dynasty, which is a crying shame as I'm a religious reader of it. Well done on the great ratings, and good luck with your Invasion! Out of interest - you've got a hell of a talented roster - are you non-aggression pacted up with all your big rivals, or are they just too short sighted to realise how good men like Eric Tyler would be for them?

We have Non-Agression pacts with DAVE, TCW, NOTBPW, and CGC -- the companies I really have to worry about plucking guys (other than, of course, SWF) Tyler is a special case. He works for SWF, but on a PPA Deal, as does Sam Keith. Nemesis works PPA for DAVE and TCW, Kudo for DAVE and BHOTWG, And onto the show. Showdown in the Bronx Week 2, June Crowd: 4,388 Team R.A.D. (Valiant/Joey Poison) def Darryl "The Dog" Freeman & Greg Richardson at 7:55, when Valiant pinned Richardson. C+ Nevada Nuclear stopped on his way out of the ring, to call out Joanne Rodriguez, for reasons known only to him. J-Ro came out, only for Nevada to babble on and on about NJ! NJ! JRo had the insight to ask the question many were wondering: what the hell did NJ mean? "Nevada.... Joanne... Nevada... Joanne. NJ! NJ! NJ!!! You... marry me?" Joanne proceeded to do what all incredibly attractive women do to schizophrenics with glowing eyes who are courting them: She softly told Nevada she wasn't interested in him like that, and encouraged him to look elsewhere. B The Animalz defeated Unstable when Big Cat Brandon pinned Nevada Nuclear after the Big Cat Pounce at 11:32. The Animalz celebrated their win afterward. A (match) A* (Celebration) NYCW Tri-State Title: Steve Flash pinned Joanne Rodriguez at 11:51 when Nevada Nuclear interfered. Cracking JRo over the head with a metal biohazard container. A Grudge Match: Haruki Kudo defeated Jimmy Cox at 13:47 with the Kudo Kutter. Afterward, Jimmy Cox attacked Kudo. A* (match) B- (attack) Alex Braun was out on promo duty, saying that it was summer time, time to go to ball games and have cookouts, but it's also time for business, time to put away Nemesis. A Nemesis retorted by formally announcing that he was sick of this Man of the People crap, and he'd make sure Braun had plenty of time for ball games and cookouts. "He won't be able to wrestle when I get done with him." A Nemesis defeated Alex Braun at 11:23 after smacking Alex in the head with a lead pipe. B+ Mean Jean Cattley promo The Gist: Scout's time at the top was long, prosperous, but it's over. NYCW is Jean Cattley's company now. A Scout promo The Gist: Scout's time at the top is over when he says it is, not when Mean Jean does. A* NYCW Empire Title: Scout and Mean Jean Cattley battled to a 20-minute time limit draw. A Overall: A NYCW Invasion: Mid-Atlantic Crowd: 921 The Latin Kings and Cuervo starred in a Pulp Fiction parody, where they were looking for the briefcase that contained their stolen tag titles. C+ #1 Contendership Match: The Latin Kings def. Chance Fortune & Donnie J and Unstable in 12:50 of a triangle match when Frankie Perez made The Insane Heat submit to the P-Clutch. C- Scout promo. It's time to move on to Nemesis and continue the fight, up until the night he takes the belt from Mean Jean Cattley. B- Scout pinned Barry Kingman at 14:47, after hitting Danger Ahead B- Eric Tyler noted that he had a lot of respect for Robert Oxford, but even the men he respected had to fall to him. B Eric Tyler made Robert Oxford submit to the Tradition Lift at 14:40 B Tyler celebrated his win, much to the dismay of the fans, who enjoyed booing Tyler nonetheless. A Mean Jean Cattley cut a promo on Art Reed, then took shots at Florida (MJC's home state, also where we were running tonight), saying this was his home, he left four years ago, and he's never been happier. B- Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley pinned Art Reed at 13:29 after a Mood Swing B- RCIBTY: At fingerpainting. Showdown in the Bronx Week 3, June Crowd: 5000 (Sellout) Three Way Tag: Donnie J. and Chance Fortune def. Team R.A.D. and Lewis Starr & Greg Richardson at 9:41 when Donnie pinned Richardson with Death on Miami Beach. C Steve Flash took a moment (which is all we'd allow him on the mic) to introduce his new manager Terry Agony. Agony boasted that Steve Flash is the best Tri-State Champion of all time, and he'll use that to parlay Steve into becoming a 2-time Empire Champion. C+ NYCW Tri-State Title: Steve Flash defeated Marc Speed at 11:35 via a pinfall after the Flash of Brilliance. B Art Reed made John Maverick submit to the Dread Lock at 12:31. C+ Haruki Kudo & Joanne Rodriguez beat Nevada Nuclear & Jimmy Cox at 12:52 via DQ, when Nuclear would release a choke hold on Kudo at referee Jez McArthur's five count. B+ Nemesis promo. Losing to Scout hurt his pride, but it taught him a lesson: no one is immortal, no one is guaranteed victory. It'd just drive Nemesis to work a little bit harder to get the job done. A* Big Cat Brandon beat Nemesis by DQ, when the Latin Kings ran in to attack Brandon, leading to Nemesis joining in for a 3-on-1 beating. A (Match) B+ (attack) Sam Keith and Scout cut a promo together. Just the basics, but delivered well: Cattley and Tyler are the scourge of wrestling, we'll clean them up. A Eric Tyler and Mean Jean Cattley defeated Sam Keith and Scout when Eric Tyler scored a pin on Keith, using the ropes for leverage. A Tyler and MJC cut a promo on their defeated foes, boasting that you saw the best of Sam Keith and Scout, and the best wasn't good enough. A Closing Ceremonies: JRo shoots some shirts, RCIBTY: At making towers out of plastic cups. A* A Overall: A NYCW Invasion: New England Crowd: 883 Greg Richardson slinked through a back exit and rolled into the ring. He called Joey Poison. "Joey knows why," he said. Joey was out, answering short and sweet: "Dude, I have no idea who you are, but if you want a match, you got it." It looked like Joey bit off more than he can chew when Richardson called out his partners: Lewis Starr and Darryl "The Dog" Freeman, but NYCW Tag Champions Future Shock were out to even the score C- Joey Poison & Future Shock (Danny Jacobs & Marc Speed) d. Greg Richardson, Lewis Starr, & Darryl "The Dog" Freeman at 7:55 when Speed pinned Freeman after a double jump moonsault. D Nevada Nuclear was out for his usual lunacy, this time directed at Alex Braun. "I know Alex Braun, you don't know him. He's a criminal, he steals cars, he's a supervillian. ALEX BRAUN IS MAGNETO!! ALEX BRAUN IS MAGNETO!!!" C+ NYCW Tri-State Title: Steve Flash pinned Donnie J at 12:30 with the Flash of Brilliance. C+ Alex Braun came out, still running on the common man act, talking about trying to be civil and kind to everyone he sees, but it's nuts like Nuclear who give society a bad name. Wrestling: a place where it's still all right to insult the mentally ill. B+ Alex Braun pinned Nevada Nuclear at 8:43 with Braun Damage. B- The Wolverine pinned Barry Kingman after a spear at 10:19, then put himself through a table for fun. C+ (Match) A (Table) MJC is out for the same promo on Art Reed, this time for the N'England audience. C+ Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley pinned Art Reed at 17:21 with the Mean Streak B Rip Chord Is Better Than You: at Chinese Checkers A Overall: B- Just as a note, Art Reed has been doing great putting MJC over on these shows. Cattley is fast becoming a star along the entire East Coast. Next Time: All titles on the line at Showdown: Latin Kings vs Future Shock, Steve Flash vs Hell Monkey, MJC vs Haruki Kudo. Showdown in the Bronx Week 4, June 5000 (sellout) The Latin Kings cut a promo, this time with Cuervo in the background, yelling at the fans in Spanish. They boasted that they'd win back the tag titles tonight, then they'd deal with those "stinky, feelthy, deegusting animals." as Champagne put it, throwing the accent into overdrive. B NYCW Tag Team Titles: Future Shock (Marc Speed & Danny Jacobs) d. The Latin Kings at 9:01, when The Wolverine attacked Frankie Perez, leading to the Shock to the System (Spike Cradle Piledriver) from Jacobs & Speed for the win. B The focus of the crowd went to the front door, where officials escorted in the returning Hell Monkey, a surprise to the crowd. C+ Sam Keith & Scout defeated Jimmy Cox & Barry Kingman at 11:51 when Scout pinned Kingman after Danger Ahead. A Haruki Kudo, having mastered the English Language, came out to hype up his match with Mean Jean Cattley, vowing to win back the title he lost a few months ago. B+ Joanne Rodriguez & Alex Braun defeated Unstable at 9:44 when Braun pinned The Insane Heat after hitting Braun Damage. B+ Nemesis came out to note that the trash from DAVE has followed him to NYCW, warning the Animalz that tonight, the trash gets taken out. A* NYCW Tri-State Title: Hell Monkey beat Steve Flash by DQ at 14:36 when Flash's manager Terry Agony interfered. B+ Agony cut a promo, chastising NYCW for allowing Hell Monkey to have a title match on his first night back in the company. He explained that he caused the DQ in protest, even though Steve Flash had everything in control. C+ Eric Tyler & Nemesis defeated The Animalz at 9:51, when Cuervo sprayed hairspray in The Wolverine's eyes, leading to a Tyler Driver '06 and a pinfall. After the match, The Latin Kings and Nemesis joined in on a 3-on-1 beating. A* (Match) A (Attack) Mean Jean Cattley cut a promo on Haruki Kudo. "You may know English now Mr. Kudo, but you still don't know how to get the better of Mean Jean Cattley." A NYCW Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley defeated Haruki Kudo at 17:04 after a foreign object shot and a Mood Swing. A* RCIBTY: At programming VCR's. (Yes, I know you probably don't have a VCR anymore, but old Rip does, and that's why he's better than you at programming them.) A JRO shot some shirts to close. A* Overall: A* (again) NYCW Invasion: South East Crowd: 912 Barry Kingman & Robert Oxford d. A Eric Tyler and Alex Braun battled to a double countout at 12:58 B+ Mean Jean Cattley came out to explain to Art Reed that he's running out of chances, and sooner or later, he'll never be in the same ring as the Empire Champion again. B Eric Tyler and Alex Braun brawled around the arena a bit, much to the fan's delight. A Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley pinned Art Reed at 19:59 with the Mood Swing B RCIBTY: At woodworking. A* Overall: B There's a new couple in the world of professional wrestling, and they come out of USPW, of all places. Java, the Giant Indonesian, is dating women's wrestling great Farrah Hesketh. Bad news, as Sam Keith sprained his ankle in a tag match in SWF, teaming with Eric Eisen to fall in defeat to Flex and the SWF World Champion, Pecs. He'll work through it, but Keith vs Nemesis could be a disaster with both men hurting. By the way, the top two champions in SWF are Pecs and Henry Lee. ugh. Next time: the aforementioned Keith vs Nemesis bout, MJC defends against Scout, Animalz vs Latin Kings, and Nevada vs J-Ro, in a big NYCW Showdown.

Nothing wrong, aside from laziness. Time to get started again. Showdown in the Bronx Week 1, July Crowd: 5000 (sellout) NYCW Tag Team Titles: Future Shock (Marc Speed & Danny Jacobs) defeated The Insane Heat & John Maverick at 8:39, when Jacobs pinned Maverick after the Prodigizer. C+ The Latin Kings showed up after the match to boast that Future Shock weren't keeping their tag titles, just renting them for a little while. B Robert Oxford pinned Art Reed, grabbing a handful of tights to score the fall at 12:36. B Nevada Nuclear babbled. "Me...Joanne...not going...to...happen.....NO!!!! NO!!!! Joanne....neeeds...to...see...how...much...she...needs..me...can't...live...without....me. Creepy. B Nevada Nuclear pinned Joanne Rodriguez at 9:37 with the Mushroom Cloud, set up after a shot with Nevada's metal biohazard container. Nevada is far less over, but JRo had no qualms about putting him over, as this match should serve to make a star out of Nuclear, at least in the Tri-State area. B The Animalz beat The Latin Kings at 13:01 via DQ, when Cuervo KO'ed Big Cat Brandon with a loaded purse. Once the large feline was stirred awake, The Animalz went into the crowd to celebrate. A (both Match & Celebration) Nemesis came out to talk about Sam Keith. He gave something for the fans with a long memory to think about, saying simply: "The last time I wrestled someone who worked for your company 1-on-1, I beat him up so bad, caused so much carnage, I lost my job." A Sam Keith beat Nemesis by DQ when Eric Tyler interfered, resulting in a 2-on-1 on Keith. A Mean Jean Cattley once again said that Scout's run at the top was over, pointing out that when he (MJC) won the Empire Title, he beat the guy who dethroned Scout. A Scout's turn to work the stick. "You can talk about records and who beat who all you want Jean, but the fact is that as soon as I'm done talking, you have to go out to that ring, and you have to go face to face with a man you know can beat you, can beat anyone in this business. Danger Ahead, 1-2-3, that's all it takes Jean." A NYCW Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley defeated Scout at 16:31 with a Foreign object and a Memphis Cradle (feet on the ropes). NYCW Invasion: Mid-Atlantic Crowd: 920 Team R.A.D. promo: They're working up the ladder, and trying to stay cool while doing it. They had a message for the Latin Kings, well put by Valiant: "Miss Cuervo, you and your pack of deceitful hooligans are certainly not Latin kings -- in fact, you owe everyone of Latin heritage a gigantic mea culpa for your deeds. Miss Cuervo, chivalry is not dead, so I could never strike you, but be certain that I will defeat your charges." Joey's contribution. "Yeah.... that's right, I think." C- Team R.A.D. defeated Darryl "The Dog" Freeman & Greg Richardson at 9:17 D The Latin Kings challenged Team RAD, or anyone else for that matter, to try to function half as well in the ring as they do on the microphone. "If you can do that, Frankie Perez boasted, maybe we would have some competition." C- The Latin Kings def. Chance Fortune & Donnie J at 13:06, when Champagne Lover made Fortune submit to the Champagne Breakfast. C- Nevada Nuclear comes out to say he didn't want to hurt Joanne, he had to. "Sometimes we must hurt the ones we love the most, yes, and we must hurt Mr. Braun too. We don't love him, but we'll hurt him anyway." Nevada said, cackling maniacally. B- Alex Braun simply came back by saying that like everyone else, he had a job to do, and his job was taking out that weirdo Nevada Nuclear. B+ Alex Braun d. Nevada Nuclear at 9:51 with Braun Damage B- NYCW Tri-State Title: Steve Flash defeated Art Reed at 14:33, thanks to Terry Agony' s interference. C+ Eric Tyler's next, and he blasts The Wolverine as a "washed up tag wrestler who thinks that he can get it done against the big boys." Adding "Wolverine, you couldn't hang with a big star like me when you were in your prime, what makes you think you can now?" A Eric Tyler defeated The Wolverine at 9:48 with the Tyler Driver '06. Afterward, The Latin Kings and Tyler jumped Wolverine. B+ (Match) A (Attack) MJC was out to wonder who the hell this Monkey beat to earn a title shot. Cattley then came to the conclusion that it didn't matter, he took on all comers anyway. C+ (letdown) NYCW Empire Title: Mean Jean Cattley def. Hell Monkey at 20:21, using the ropes for leverage. B RCIBTY: At caligraphy A* Overall: B Highlighting the rampant drug problems in Mexican wrestling is the story of Pylea, a long enemployed luchadore who was recently hospitalized because of an overdose. Mean Jean Cattley & The Latin Kings vs Scout & The Animalz - Speaking of Empire Title implications, this is a golden opportunity for Scout to prove that he deserves another shot at the gold after being robbed of his third Empire Title win. The Kings and Animalz also get a chance to resolve their differences. Haruki Kudo vs Nemesis - A battle of legends. Haruki Kudo won the Empire Title early on in his NYCW run, then got the best of Jimmy Cox in their feud. Nemesis, on the other hand, has been aptly nicknamed The Steamroller, and looks to plow over Haruki Kudo.
