Eisen-verse
Does anyone else use JK in their games as a current worker/character or do most of you just keep him "out of the business"? I always adjust his personality to that of a "jaded" person, Mad that his initial try at wrestling failed. He typically is never open to working with others and turns into someone who is more focused upon his own vendetta against Richard Eisen than anything else. All in all, I was thinking of bringing him back as a potential owner of a future company and wanted to know what others have done with him in this light. Did you create a brand new company or try to ressurect HGC with a backstory of TCW dropping the copyright to it? Cheers.
Midnightnick
I just move him to On Hiatus, and make him active in all areas. It's interesting to see the next JK Stallings Project if it is Championship Wrestling From Wigan.
juggaloninjalee
What do you make his stats? I thought about using him as an on screen guy but he has 0% stats. I want him to be able to cut promos however what seems reasonable? I would think since he is so smart and stuff he would have some microphone skills. Plus all good business men know how to talk. After looking at his picture, How can the guy not be a little charismatic? Not in the cool.. HBK 90's kind of charisma... but as an ultra geeky guy who doesn't quite know when to "stop talking" and tends to say some stupid stuff. haha. I think acting levels would be somewhat low since he's not an actor by any means. He developed a software program and didn't really have to do much business work as he probably just sold it off for millions of dollars and from there was a rich young man. All in all, Low sex appeal... however... a relatively good Star Quality. Others may not agree but I think JK can pose as one of the perfect "underdog" figures in the Cornellverse. He tried once before and failed and now is back for vengeance. This would get a lot of people on his side and many would look out for him to finally "make something of his dream". UkWrestleFan
I've been toying with a Stallings scenario for about a month or so now. It blurs the perception of real world and CornellVerse after Stallings decides that he wants to have another try with a wrestling promotion and pumps millions of dollars into his new project...The World Wrestling Federation :D As mentioned in another thread, money and creative control would play a significant part in any top star jumping ship. With Stallings' fortune, who would be likely candidates to join the CornellVerse's WWF?

Only because you may turn some people off with the fusion of real world/cornellverse. If Stallings came out with a company, The way I see it, it would be a lot like how the WWE is right now in the sense of over entertainment... Maybe a name with Money in it... or Entertainment... etc. I like the idea of a JK run new company though.
sebsplex
I'm a bit of a Stallings mark (for whatever reason) and have used him in a number of personal games ranging from a (as mentioned) somewhat jaded and bitter figure with the power of a huge corporation behind him to a naive nerd with more money than sense and a dream still to realise. In C-Verse terms I usually have him start either a cult level promotion or (re)takeoever TCW with some sort of convoluted backstory involving the consortium that Tommy Cornell headed pulling back fearing that Cornell's influence/conflict of interest is starting to harm the promotion... basically replacing him one way or the other. I even ran a 'Field of Dreams' style game with him where he was able to host dream matches containing the greatest workers around... but that was more of a mess around time-killer. Stallings is also a key figure in the GDS-Verse, running the creatively named International Grappling Company, which is something along the lines of what HGC would have become if Stallings had stuck around for the long haul. I'm running a game with it at the moment where a bit like Eisen-verse mentioned, it's entertainment in overdrive... Sports Entertainment Extreme if you like, where his money funds blockbuster storylines and set-pieces. Since he's a bit of a geek after all, some of them also have definite sci-fi leanings. I can't help but think that Stallings would have been a bit of a sci-fi nerd.

As you said, How could he not be a sci fi geek? Plus, I could see him using a lot of technology to try to trump the more traditional SWF. Ya know? I mean he made a lot of money through developing a computer based program. So, I could see him def. having a more... "New Age" looking kind of promotion. Derek B
A looong time ago (during TEW07, I think) I had a diary where JK Stallings made a return to pro wresting, exactly 10 years after he had made his initial plunge into it. I storylined it so that JK had basically been forced into the background at HGC due to just being a 16 year old kid when it started and having to deal with guys like Rip Chord and Sam Strong. This time around he gave one of his old friends (me :p) the booking job in order to have someone he trusted in charge, and someone who he knew would ignore a lot of what other people would say. So I tend to view JK as a kinda nervous guy who doesn't really like public speaking but still has some big ideas of what he could do. He LOVES wrestling despite having been treated like a joke by many of his old employees and so he tends to go with younger, unproven guys now instead of big stars. I ran a tournament on TV (2 hours) split into 4 leagues of 4, with the top 2 moving onto the final 8 man tournament held on the first PPV. I even got creative with people not showing up and TV time running out to have some fun with it even though Stallings. Ultimately, I view him as having grown from a big mark when he set up HGC initially into a world travelled work rate mark. Now he appreciates the more modern style of wrestling and he'd probably run a cutting edge style promotion, with high impact and fast paced wrestling being centerstage instead of just another SWF. And he backs it all up with his chequebook, meaning he can simply buy whoever he wants to appear for his company. Though that last bit may be tricky to do in game... NoNeck
I use him in SOTR V3. He's nothing special stat wise, but I think as a part of a story, he gives legitimacy to any money based venture. Plus his picture is outstanding. How many bowties are there in the canon? :)
