foolinc
After beating the AP poll last week, the WAS rankings are back for week 6. As I said earlier, I'll go into into the rankings itself. There are six stats that are used for the FOOL polls: WIN, SOS, SCORE, TOM, CONTROL, and YARDS. Each of these stats are ranked, with the highest team getting 119 (the number of teams in FBS that aren't in some kind of probationary period) points, the next highest getting 118, and so on. This is so each of the stats can easily be combined with each other. WIN is the teams winning percentage, SOS is the team's Strength of Schedule for past opponents, SCORE is the point differential (offensive - defensive) per game, TOM is turnover margin, YARDS is the yard differential per game, and CONTROL is the average ranking of time of possession and 3 down % conversion differential. With that out of the way, on to the Week 6 Rankings: 1. (1) Oklahoma 2. (9) Missouri 3. (6) TCU 4. (2) Alabama 5. (3) Boise St. 6. (13) Texas Tech 7. (7) Penn St. 8. (4) Texas 9. To be honest, one of my stats (control) got pasted into the FOOL polls as a formula instead of a value, so it threw off the rankings a tiny bit. Oh, well. Now for the Updated Conference Rankings (with best and worst team) for week 6: 1. Big 12 (Oklahoma, Texas A&M) 2. Big 10 (Penn St., Michigan) 3. SEC (Alabama, Mississippi St.) 4. The Swanton825
*Cries* Why does Wyoming suck so bad? Well, at least BYU isn't the best Mountain West team.
