Personally, I think that they key to an interesting diary is presentation and writing. You could have the most boring promotion in the world and it could still make for an interesting read if you present it in the rigiht manner.
I do have good writing skills, if that's what you're asking. in 7-8 months hopefully, my first book will be out at bookstores. It's in the Production Department now.

That matters more than the promotion you use, it seems. So no matter what promotion you are using for your diary, people will read a diary if you do it well.

I'm just looking for tips, or other's opinions..

So a sports entertainment promotion is going to have a bigger focus on storylines and entertainment, whereas a pure wrestling promotion would probably focus a lot more on the in-ring action. But any approach can work. There is a pretty good tip thread in the Diaries section. And the best way to get ideas and such is to spend some time doing some reading. You don't want to copy what someone else is doing, but find what is working and adapt it.
ok, creativity is no problem for me...what kind of "presentation" do you suggest I use? I'm just looking for tips, or other's opinions..
I'm doing a women's diary (and I'm going to stick with it this time). What I'd suggest is really working on character development and personalities. Like, I got a lot of positive feedback from my 07 diary (LFC) about the way I portrayed several workers. Like Cherry Bomb always talking about herself in the third person and with her catchphrase ("BOOM!") that often came out of nowhere (kinda like early Ron Simmons in a way). I never got to really reveal the other personalities I worked on but those will find a way into this version. If you go back and look at J Silver's USPW diary from 07, in my view, that is the perfect example of what I'm referring to. The characters came to life because of the way he wrote them. Look at Robert Oxford and Jim Force and The Dudez!11!!. In my opinion, you know you've struck gold when the way you portrayed certain characters shows up in other peoples' diaries exactly the way you had them. When you take a largely secondary/sidekick character like Rhino Umaga (who usually plays second fiddle to Samoan Machine) and turn him into a unique personality in his own right (even if the concept is borrowed from a real world character), that's the hallmark of the whole concept. And I've found that just because you can write books and novels, doesn't make you an entertaining writer. Kurt Vonnegut is an enduring legend with a legacy beyond reproach.....but he wasn't nearly as entertaining as say, James Patterson or John Grisham or Stephen King or Dean Koontz or Patricia Cornwell or J.K. Rowling or even Danielle Steele. Deeper? Hell yes. More entertaining? Probably not, judging by standard metrics (which aren't subject to judgement calls). Diaries amount to basically sound bytes, since you don't get 30 pages to get your message across. The best ones are quick hitting and straight to the point with very little in the way of allusion.
