New Promotions?

Do new Promotions that are set at having a "random" opening date only open when another company goes bankrupt and closes? Or can a company just open out of nowhere... (I would think the word "random" would mean such.. however.. I never really see these companies opening at all without having a previous date set). Thank you!

I don't have an answer for that one actually. Someone else probly knows, but the only promotion that ever seems to open up is Montero's. It's weird, and it usually opens up, when he joins the wrestling world. Weird, but I would just think they would open random.

They open when there's a gap in the market for them. If the industry is good and there are lots of unemployed workers but few promotions, a promotion set to open randomly in that area might appear. They won't appear if there aren't enough workers to support them, the industry sucks, or there are already too many promotions in the game.

They seem to randomly pop up at the start of any given month. I've been playing the 1997 mod in a game for over 2.5 years now, and so far Big Battle Wrestling, Mexican Hardcore Wrestling, L.A. Wrestling, and Championship Wrestling For Ladies have all randomly sprung up, and I don't think any companies have gone under (not even XFW, despite my best efforts). LAW was interestingly opened up by Larry Vessey after he decided to leave HGC. Basically, they stick him in the main event every month and put on awesome shows, despite being only Regional.
